Rules - Basic Do's & Don'ts

Follow these simple rules, and there won’t be any trouble :D

GENERAL RULES


  • If at all possible; try and stay active. If you are leaving and\or cannot remain active (school, work, travel, etc) don't be rude and post your leave at the Departures board.

  • Cursing is permitted. Though please keep it clean as to not to scare away any younger members\guests\potential members of the forum.

  • NO HARASSING. If you have trouble with any of the members, contact a member of staff. Troublemakers will be dealt with.

  • Be weary of your spelling. Typos are okay, as long as we can understand you. (You will not get punished for this :))

  • Obey your superiors (a.k.a. Moderators, Administrators). What we say goes.

  • The list of punishment for any rule-breaking goes as followed:
    - User will be verbally warned through PM and cbox not to do so again.
    - User account will be disabled for one (1) day.
    - User account will be disabled for three (3) days.
    - Deletion of user account and site ban.



RP RULES


  • Users who have taken Canon roles that have gone inactive for one (1) month without announcing his\her departure\reason of inactiveness will have their character taken from them and put up for availability.1

  • The modify button is your pal - no double posting while IC.

  • Don't God-mode. An application will not be accepted if your character is too perfect, so don't bother to try.

  • First word to the password is: still

  • Players who introduce NPC’s into the RP controls the NPC.

  • You cannot permenantly wound\maim\kill another character without the other players consent.

  • Power play is not allowed.

  • No one-liners while posting IC.

  • And finally, the golden rule: Have fun!!



CONCERNING ACCOUNTS AND THE NUMBER OF CHARACTERS USERS MAY PLAY


  • Only one (1) character per account.

  • Only three (3) accounts per user. Members of staff can view IP addresses, so you WILL be found out.

  • You may not role-play all by yourself (e.g. Character1 posts, then Character2 posts, then Character1 posts again). Where is the fun in that??!!

All Events (any activity involving the entire Forum) are monotered by the Head Admin (tifa) and any other admins/moderators she chooses to involve.


As such, WHAT THEY SAY, GOES. If you have a suggestion, complaint, or if you wish to open your own subsection (thread) within the event, please forward it to both the Head Admin (tifa) and any other moderators/admins involved with running the event.

If you are not a moderator or Admin and wish to make your OWN event, simply submit it to Tifa before continuing and she will assign a moderator/admin to supervise.

EARTH BOARD RULES


  • MATERIA DO NOT WORK (in any form)

  • MAGIC DOES NOT WORK (in any form)

  • ANY CREATURES DEPENDENT ON MAGIC TO SURVIVE WILL DIE IF THEY GO TO EARTH

  • ONCE ON EARTH, YOU ARE SUBJECT TO ITS RULES (meaning you will need money to get food, and if you break the law you will become a fugitive, etc.)

  • ITEMS THAT CAUSE MAGICAL HEALING/ATTACKS DO NOT WORK

  • SCIENTIFIC WEAPONS DO WORK, BUT REQUIRE DAILY MAINTENCE, WHICH COSTS MONEY.

  • THE ONLY WAY TO ESCAPE FROM EARTH AND RETURN TO THE FF UNIVERSE IS TO ESTABLISH AN INTER-UNIVERSAL BRIDGE BY SCIENTIFIC MEANS. (this ofcourse is the entire point of having Earth available as an option, for once you have opened the bridge, and you need staff approval that you have met all the requirements to do so, then magic will function on Earth thereafter and you can come and go as you please).

  • GLOBAL/HEAD MODERATOR HAS FINAL AUTHORITY ON EARTH

  • ALL SHOPS/STORES/RESTURAUNTS/ETC. WILL BE RUN BY THE MODS.



Additionally, there will be rewards for accomplishing tasks on Earth that you cannot earn anyware else, such as large payments of Gil, or new scientific armor and weapons, etc.


Have fun and enjoy exploring the wonderful world we all live in, in RL.
