Arddyn stood up and smiled at Ghost, and nodded his head in agreement. However before he joined her in following the footprints, he quickly jogged back over to his chocobo and grabbed a few things from the pouches that hung from the saddle. Potions it seemed or something similar to that. He then picked up his long spear from the ground and proceeded back towards Ghost stopping next to her. The blonde haired man took the cigarette out from his mouth and flicked it into the floor with his fingers. The cig extinguished when it hit the ground and just to make sure it was completely out, the young mechanic walked up to where it had landed and stomped his foot on it gently.
"Alright, lets go!" He said to her with a smile as he turned to face her once more.

Waiting patiently the experiment stood there, unmoving, and it was fairly easy to figure out why he would get his things before they went. Going into a possible dangerous situation without the proper items, and weapons, would lead to a persons’ downfall. Though sometimes even with all the necessary equipment you were doomed depending on what you were up against. Now as Arddyn joined her and put out his sig she nodded before speaking, “My you seem eager.” Was her observation, though there was a hint of joking to it.
After speaking she began walking, following the prints, careful to pay attention to the blonde to make sure he was coming. She would not be the one to arrive first at dangers’ door should there be any. In other words she would be back-up.

Arddyn began to follow her as she headed off in the direction that the footprints went in. He heard what she asked him and a smile spread across his lips. Sure, he was eager. It had been sometime since he had been on any sort of adventure, not when with someone else anyway. He caught her up and began walking at her side, being careful not to tread in the footprints or to get in her way. His eyes sparkled blue whenever the moon poked its head out from behind the clouds and cast its bright glow down on top of them both. Arddyn had noticed the colour of Ghost's eyes whenever the moon was not shining. That familiar mako glow although red and not the usual turquoise colour as stated in the reports he read back in the past when he worked for Shin-Ra.
"Any idea what we might find out there?" He asked her curiously as he gripped on his spear slightly tighter, keeping his guard up in case they were ambushed or attacked from something or someone from the darkness that surrounded them.

“Something of the human persuasion by the looks of these footprints.” Was her answer as her gaze lowered for a moment to the prints as they walked. They were definitely human by the looks of them, and while still looking at them her mind began to work up a picture. By the size they were made by boots, worn by a male, and judging by the length between each print it was a fairly tall man. Maybe about Arddyn’s height or a little taller. Now, looking back ahead of them, the woman slowed her stride as they reached the corner when the prints turned into the canyon.
Finally when they got about a foot away from it Ghost stopped, putting her arm out in front of the blonde to get him to do the same. Her heightened senses allowed her to hear even the quietest sound; the odd thing was…there were so sounds to be heard. Only the sound of their breathing, “Strange…” She commented quietly though she seemed troubled by the lack of sounds.

Arddyn stopped as soon as he felt her hand reach out and touch him. Turning to face her, he looked upon her with curiosity while trying to see f he could hear anything at the same time. But no. The place was deadly silently, almost scarily quiet. He didn't like it. Bad things usually happened in situations like this so he gripped his spear in both hands now and held it in a defensive position, taking an extra step forwards to be on guard and make sure Ghost was protected.
"Whats wrong...?" The mechanic asked quietly, almost whispering.

Slowly the dark-haired woman shook her head, eyes closed, and again she strained to hear even the smallest of sounds. And yet there was still nothing…That wasn’t a good sign at all. There were chances of being ambushed once they went around the corner but the odds were 50/50 on each; ambushed or being met with nothing. “I’m not sure. Best proceed with caution.” She whispered back and knelt down, picking up a rock, and threw it around the corner into the canyon.
Now they needed to wait…if any other sound was made then they would know it had been a trap. If not then they could take their chances and keep going.

Copy 147 hid behind the corner silently listening to the two trespassers converse...and he was being careful to not breath in more than absolutely necessary so as to remain silent... Copy 147 nearly had a heart attack when a sizable rock suddenly came flying from around the corner, he continued to hold his breath and await the signal that backup was arriving... what's taking them so long!?he thought to himself as he quietly gripped his gunblade...

Arddyn watched the dark haired woman kneel down and pick up a rock, which she then threw out into the canyon, possibily to spring any traps that could have been laying in wait for them. The Cid look-alike gritted his teeth slightly, feel nervous all of a sudden, yet he composed himself and took hold of his spear in both hands, holding the tip out in front of him defensively. Arddyn took another step fowards before turning to face Ghost beside him.
"I don't like this... you wait here while I go check out the area around this corner..." He said to her, his tone quieter now, but not quite a whisper yet. Looking at her in silence for a couple of seconds, the young mechanic began to proceed onwards, stepping slowly and carefully along the path as his eyes scanning the way in front of him, looking for the slightest sign of life.

Ghost frowned when there was no other sound made and turned slightly to the blonde, nodding before she watched him proceed. When he disappeared around the corner she followed, although he told her to wait, and yet she knew he would probably need her to be his eyes in the looming darkness of the canyon. As soon as she rounded the corner though she froze; her senses nearly going wild at the presence of another.
Looking past Arddyn her glowing red mako-enhanced eyes locked onto a figure; a type of soldier. Her assumption had been right on what made the prints just by looking at him…but something in the back of her mind made her doubt he was human. “Arddyn I suggest we get out in the open…a fight in close quarters, even with just one opponent, could turn foul.” The failed experiment hissed.
