Alexia continued to rub her hair with the towel as he spoke, fully aware of the fact it would probably be all frizzy when she took the towel off, good job she had a brush in her handbag! "I suppose I could show them, as soon as I pumped full of coffee and alive," She wasn't really speaking, she was mumling groggily. She wasn't really a morning person, she wasn't ususally angry or grumpy she was just a bit irritable and un-aware of most things when she had just woken up, and if she was ever hung-over...let's just not go there! "I'll be downstairs to drink coffee in a little while, but you can piss off for a while until I get ready," She said shooing him away with her free hand, she hadn't meant it in a nasty way, she was just being blunt. She smiled quickyl at him before closing the door and taking the towl off of her head, the she triend to attack her hair with the hair-bush.

Cal smiled. "I like this girl more and more every day. That attitude is invigorating!" Grinning like a bat outta hell, the scarred man walked downstairs to talk to the men.
"The plan is, after she gets some Coffee and a bite to eat, to teach you guys more advanced Materia techniques, better team combat skills, and how to fight in melee combat better than you know already. Reese, here is 8,000 gil, a majority of my spending money. Go with the men and buy the gear you'd like to use. Now, don't be afraid to pick weapons that aren't traditional, or things that are more unique. I suggest buying things you can use well, getting good armor, and your favorite materia. See you in a half hour."
With that, Reese led the men from the inn, and they went off to shop.

After about 10 minutes Alexia's hair was properly dried and brushed and looked just how it normally did. She picked up her bag, he swords and lazily walked down the stairs. About 5 minutes later she sat at a table in the far corner of the room, away from anyone else with a mug of hot coffee and a round of buttered toast. She was eatin and drinking whilst waiting for Cal to return.

Cal walked in the inn, stretching and having an exceptionally big smile on his face. Rainy days always made him happy, ever since he was a kid. If he wasn't so damn tough, he'd probably be outside stomping in puddles and laughing like a lunatic. Of course, people would probably be concerned when they saw a scarred man leaping from puddle to puddle shouting Dali-Ho!
His eyes were drawn instantly to Alexia. He waltzed over to her, grabbed a chair, turned it around, and plopped into his seat. Leaning on the head board, Cal said "I gave the guys some spending money, to buy better equipment that'd withstand our kinda training." He smirked. They were both much stronger than the humans, but if they taught them proper technique, then they would probably live.
"When they come back, we're gonna travel out to the fields and have at it. It kinda reminds me of when me and Zack used to play swords and shields as kids... man, we were stupid."

Alexia continued to drink her coffee and nibble at her toast as she waited for Cal. She was slightly startled when he turned up, she still wasn't wide awake yet, she would be when she finished the coffee though. She noticed his grin, "Why are you so insanely happy?" She questioned slightly monotounously (if that's even a word...) as she finished the last of her toast and picked up the coffee. She listened to him, whilst dringing her coffee, it was quite sweet and it was strong so it would hopefully wake her up quicker. "you were kids, you weren't stupid, you were just..." she thought for a second then finished: "Well, kids," She said with a slight laugh.

"Well, it's time for us to play swords and shields now. The guys are waiting!" And like a big kid who couldn't wait to see the movie he'd been dying to see for weeks, Cal grabbed Alexia by the hand (carefully, as not to spill coffee), and led her briskly out of the Inn.
Cal had a strange glow in his eyes. No, not one of those metaphorical glows, but an actual glow. A calm, red glow which seemed less frightening than it should be. This always happened to him whenever he was excited... a side-effect of the Mako and Genetic alterations.
In the center of town, Reese was waiting to lead them to the guys' training area. "Follow me, you two. They were so excited they spent all of the money you gave us and then decided to begin training themselves while you were busy."
Cal looked at Reese. The Blue haired man was wearing some of the finest Mythril armor he'd ever seen, as well as carrying an adamantine longsword, a advanced sniper rifle, and wearing an expensive helmet that had the detailed carvings of dragons on either side of the faceplate. "Nice armor," Cal said, "is everyone else as decked out as you?"
Reese grinned, only his mouth showing from underneath the faceplate. "We sold all of our old gear and anything else we didn't need, just to afford a little extra protection," and with that, the young Lieutenant rapped his knuckles on the chestplate. Today was gonna be a fun day.
Within minutes, the three found themselves at a field where the soldiers were rushing eachother with their weapons, and several were dueling. There was quite a variety her. He saw Nunchakus, Katanas, Spears, Swords, Shields, Guns galore, and even an axe. If only Zack had lived to see this day; he would've had so much fun.

Alexia followed him, also being careful not to spill her beloved coffee. When they arrived at the place where she assumed thyey would be training she had to look twice to make sure she wasn't dreaming, which was entirely possible in her current state, of dazed confusion. She stood up straight and looked at all the different weapons that the soldiers possesed, she had never seen so many different choices, usually she just saw swords and guns, that was it. "Am I dreaming this, or am I awake?" She mumbled to Cal as she blew her fringe out of her eye. Then she noticed the weather, "Argh rain," she complained, she was very fussy about the weather, she liked it to be sunny but not too hot, she hated rain, snow, and extreme heat, and she liked thunder storms and thick fog. She sighed gently and continued to observe.

Strangely, the weather changed to suit the mood. As the men began fighting more intently, a bright flash of lightning followed by a loud crack of thunder caused everyone to stop, noticing that their three leaders stood in front of them. Cal, Alexia, and Reese.
"Okay gents, listen carefully. It's wet, noisy, and time to fight. Now, Alexia and I will teach you the basic principles of combat.. according to how a seasoned mercenary and a ex-SOLDIER have been taught. Now, First Alexia will show you how to fight an opponent stronger than youselves, and how team tactics will result in their defeat." Cal leaned over to Alexia and whispered in her ear, "You ready to show them how? Try not to hurt them, but show them how effective a SOLDIER is in combat."

Alexia smiled as there was a flash of lightning, she wasn't so drowsy now, thunderstorms actually made her more active. She unsheathed one of her katanas and dropped the sheath for it and the other in a dry patch on the floor. Her swords were suited to any type of handling, they were hand and a half swords, which meant they could be used with one hand or both, very adaptable. "First i want to explain something I learnt a while ago, it is very handy and has helped me out of many tricky situations, the stronger the attack, the less attacks will be in a combo. For example a handgun can be fired at least 6 times, where as a missile only once, If you work out the limit of the number of attacks some-one can use you can look for an opening and strike, you get me?" she said OOC Hope you don't mind, I stole that from Bleach

((OOC: Steal whatever you want. I don't mind, as long as it sounds badass. I just thought training a bunch of misfits in a thunderstorm sounded cool.... Oh, and on a completely unrelated note, I've been watching Samurai 7 lately, and if you haven't seen it you should check it out.))
Cal smiled. Clearly, she knew how to fight very well, and the ex-shinra all stood at perfect attention on the field, listening to her intently. He was glad it was storming harder now... it'd really toughen up any of the guys who didn't quite have a very good concept of chaos. A battlefield is very much like a storm, with loud noises and flashing lights all over, but mostly, that primal sense of danger. That's what a storm meant to Cal anyway.
Cal briefly addressed the unlikely group of warriors. "Now, another thing about combat is speed and technique. Once you get an opening on an opponent, you must learn how to strike to afflict the maximum amount of damage. This principle of fighting is important because when you combine speed and technique, your attacks become strong. You may very well, after a few weeks of training, triple your attack strength." Cal looked at Alexia and grinned. Man, he was happy to have a friend after so many years of loneliness.

She nodded breifly , "Antoher thing I suggest is that you know your weapon inside out, don't just rush headfirst into a fight with a weapon you've never used before, unless it's absolutely necessary, it could end up being the death of you. I have fought with these Katana's since I was 14, I know them inside out and would never be without them. Yet another useful tip is to be skilled in fighting with more that one weapon, you never know when it'll come in handy. Also know the capabilities of your weapon, for example a properly crafted Katana should be strong enough to pierce skin and shatter bone, but also be thin enough to slip between ribs, they are also silent, hence why they were once used by ninja," she said before finally stopping to let Cal talk, she was skilled but she had never had to teach other people about these things before so it might not come out sounding as she had hoped.
OOC I've never watched that I'll check it out when I get time XD

Cal looked at her, clearly impressed.
"Well, that's it for the basics. Now, you guys need to practice fighting with those weapons of yours. First off, pick a training partner. I'll fight with Reese. Once we've gone through the motions of fighting each-other, we'll move onto group combat, the uses of materia, and anything else that Alexia feels we need to know. Capice?"
OOC: Yepyep. Go to animefreak.tv, it's a site with free anime on it. Oh, and you sound like a ninjitsu master! Nice job.

Alexia smiled, "Am I sitting out, or would you like me to do anything?" she said before walking over and inspecting both of her weapons, she had also brought a hand-gun in-case the time called for it. She looked up at the sky as a treak of lightning split it in half, the sky was a dark grey, and the storm was nearly over them, it would be amusing to see how they coped with it.
OOC soz it's short, and thanks XD don't know where I heard it before =P

Cal grinned. "You, dearest, are gonna fight me. Then we'll begin to train Reese." Cal bowed, and then went into his guard stance. He knew she had a high chance of beating him, but he wouldn't go down without a fight. If he played his cards straight, he could even end it in a draw. With that, he said "whenever you're ready."
OOC: ummmmm.... please don't whoop his ass... I just want it to be the most evenly matched, tightest fight ever, like when genesis fought sephy but more equal. IDK, even fights are always my favorite. XD

OOC I shall not whoop his ass lol, I've only ever done one fight before, and in that Alexia got epicly owned so...Bless her, she didn't do anything wrong =P
She picked up her Katanas un-sheathing the sheathed one, and twinsting it around in her hand until she got it at the right angle. She saw Cal's reflection in the angle she had it at, and smiled slightly, maybe this would be fun, or maybe it would just make her look like a copplete idiot, infront of all these people. She nodded her head and stood back a few steps, "After you" she said loudly, she never started a fight, she always let the opponent have the first blow, it gave her a slight advantage in one way or another well it did for the way she faught, with 2 blades.
