erika arrived in a shin-ra helicopter,she decended on a rope and after that she walked up the stairs once inside cosmo canyon she begin asking where red XIII is. after ten minutes of no luck she decided to sit by the fire and wait to see if he shows up.she was wearing her green uniform so that red can identify her easily

Not long after the woman's arrival, a handsome shadow cast itself against the smooth walls of the canyon. Red's fiery coat caught the light of the setting sun, covering it with a dull glow. His single eye rested on the newcomer, and he soon descended to meet her. The creature's large, accustomed paws seemed to dance across the rock as he moved from one ledge to another. His nostrils flared as he took in the scent of the human. "Can I help you?" the magnificent beast grunted, his tone guarded.

"ah you are red XIII"erika said staring at him behind her helmet"did you not send for shin-ra's assistance?".erika watched red to see if he would attack her.she really didnt want to fight but she would if she had to."oh im erika. nice to meet you "she said rembering her manners

Red XIII nodded, his yellow eye scanned Erika carefully. He had not forgotten the troubles Shin-Ra had given him, the brand on his shoulder was a constant reminder of that, but he had forced himself to let it be of the past. "Yes," he responded, "the Gi Tribe seems to be becoming more hostile once again..." he paused, glancing over at his den. "Come," he motioned with tail for Erika to follow, "I will tell you more inside." With that, he glided up the side of the cliff with ease, till he had made it to his den. He looked back once to see if his guest was having any trouble following, and waited.

erika followed him using the stairs"the gi tribe?"she asked herself"didnt reds species wipe them out".after she got up the stairs she waited to see what he had to say but she kept her distance if he knew about her past he would rip her throat out right there

Red padded over to a comfortable pile of rock and moss on the side of the den, and wrapped his flaming tail comfortably around him. "Now," he began, "I'm sure you've heard of the Gi tribe's attack, yes?" his eyes flashed with sadness briefly as he recalled the bloodshed which was the cause of his loneliness, "My kind was wiped out, but so were they... or we thought so," The fiery creature sighed, "It seems there were some survivors, and that they've rebuilt their tribe in secret. Now, we are getting signs that they want to avenge their kin. During the last attack, my father, along with the others, were able to fend them off, but now I am the only one left. For this reason, we need Shin-Ra's assistance," Nanaki finished, "We don't have the strength to fend them off this time around."

erika listened to nanaki's story and saw the sad look in his eyes."ok"erika said"im all that could be spared so here is the plan.we strike at the gi together then pull back to here .once were back we ignite this and bring the cave ceilings down on the enemy"after she said that she took an explosive out of her pocket.when she showed him silent tears ran down her face as she remebered the battle of sector 7

A toothy, animal grin spread across the chief's powerful jaws. He liked the way this one thought. "Hmm, I like it..." he commented, "It will be quick, efficient, and there will be a low casualty rate on our part." Red XIII shook his umber mane as he analyzed the plan, and concluded that losing a cave was only a small sacrifice compared to having his home town destroyed by a mass calamity. The explosive reeked, but he refrained from showing any signs of disgust. Sometimes having a strong nose can be a curse.

erika smiled behind her helmet"there are two things that we must do that might be a problem. number 1 we have to go through the caves to reach the enemy if im right and 2 if we get overun in the caves i'll have to detonate the device with us still in the cave" erika said"so we'll go whenever your ready to attack"

"Yes, I am aware of that," Red commented, "But, as a chief of this town, I must do whatever I can to protect it, as my father did." The flame hued beast rose to his massive paws, shook off the flecks of moss that clung to his pelt, and turned toward the mouth of the cave. "Cosmos Canyon thanks Shin-Ra for their assistance," Red XIII suppressed a growl as the named escaped his jowls. Apparently, old habits die hard. "I will alert the others of our plan."

"i shall meet you by the gates"erika said nervously"shin-ra is not liked around her.ok we admit it's our fault that things are this way".she then went down the stairs and waited just out side of cosmo canyon.to pass the time she decided to play with some local monsters

A sigh drifted from the beast's throat. "No... it's ok... What's past is past," he dismissed with a flick of his flaming tail. He trotted his way over to the lip of the cave, which jutted out to form a small cliff above the town. Nanaki lifted his head and loosed a long howl. The howl echoed through the canyon, catching the attention of many below. (Bleh, tis short and lame. Sorry. ^^  ) |

erika was battling a sahagin when he howled.both her and the monster stopped their battle and listened.as soon as the monster turned back to the battle it saw her run up the stairs to the canyon.erika stopped just before entering the village abd listened to him tell the plan to the people

Red turned his head to glance at Erika as she joined him. "People of Cosmos Canyon," he began, looking down at the crowd below him, each one of them he saw as a brother or a sister, "You are all aware of the threat the Gi Tribe is to us. You are also aware of the aid we require from Shin-Ra." Murmurs of agreement rippled through the crowd like a wave, "We cannot put off this threat any longer. Those of you who are warriors will join us in our attack, we lure them into this cave," he motioned behind him, back to the cave they were previously in, "and bring it down upon them. Those of you who cannot fight, evacuate Cosmos Canyon until the battle is over."

erika watched the ripple that travelled through the crowd at the mention of shinra.after his speech she smiled from behind her helmet and decided not to wear it for this battle so she removed her helmet.she then went to see red to make sure that there were no changes he wanted to make to the plan
