Onyveth tilted her head, looking down at the ground thinking hard as soon as he explained his reasons for being here. She tried to recall him. After all, she had lived here, twice. The first time was when she was with her real family. But, at the time she was barely a year old, so she doubted she would remember anything then. The second time was with her foster family - just a little while before the village had suffered that horrible explosion. She shook her head, defeated. She had never seen him before in her life; until now, that is.
She backed away, eying his weapon as he reached for it, unaware of his intentions. Was it something she said, she thought. Upon hearing the cry of wolves, she realized it wasn't her this man turned his deathly gaze at. The sky was dark, and a clap of thunder brought Onyveth to her toes. She unsheathed her rattan sticks, twirling it around through her fingers and took another opposing stance. His offer to go find safety was tempting since Onyveth was in no mood to fight. She was nearly completely drained and exhausted, and had already promised herself no more magic unless she wanted to fall unconscious during a battle.
[glow=purple,2,300]"Doesn't look like I've got much of a choice..."[/glow] she said with a slight frown, looking around only to find their only means of escape blocked by wolves. There was a pack of three coming toward them followed by a band of unfriendly looking men, as far as Onyveth could tell. Not that it made any difference - they all seemed to want to hurt them anyway.
[glow=purple,2,300]"Heel, fido!"[/glow] she yelled defiantly as she stood her ground, holding up one of her rattan sticks in a way to block the wolf's mouth as it came lunging towards her. It clawed at her, scratching her right arm a couple of times as it chewed on her weapon. Unable to hold the animal for much longer, she kicked it away, swiping it a couple of times with her bamboo-clad rod sending it hurling backwards. The next thing she knew the wolf she attacked was accidentally hit by a fire spell sent by one of the many bandits heading their way. It fell to the ground, motionless; its fur soaked from the slight drizzle of rain that had only begun to pour. She fell down on one knee, clutching her right arm. One down - a myriad to go.

The remaining wolves had begun their attack while the fireballs continued to approach them. Another four proceeded behind. “Unforgivable,” he simply said before disappearing in a flash of an uprising wave of smoke. It was as if the somewhat wet ground had been lifted up. The uprising dust began to spread across the air, engulfing the offenses. Within the smoke there was something that was about to happen. Like a monster from hell, his face appeared through the smoke which was followed by a visible thin line drawn upwards onto the wolf in front of him. His blade was unseen. The left arm of the man hurled hrough the smoke and took hold of the fireball. Without any hesitation he threw it towards the remaining wolf of the first wave attackers. It slammed into the wolf’s face and forced it to slightly flip backwards. This was followed by the fireball close to it which struck from behind. Ultimately these two same attacks compressed the wolf, broke its bones and sent it falling from the air in an engulfing fire.
Suddenly he shifted himself more into the air and went bursting through the side of the smoke by rotating his body horizontally with the blade parallel to his chest. The rotation increased in speed and power, therefore slicing the first wolf in the second wave with his katana. A fireball was hurling towards him after. He then rotated over it and proceeded into an upside down position where he threw a foot forward behind the fireball, causing it to hurl towards the other side. The impact caused the smoke to separate. His aim was off but it caused the ground beneath the fireball to form into a crater that ended up swallowing the other two wolves. As he slowly returned right side up, he laid his blade over his right shoulder and it began to glow red. In one smooth motion he turned halfway and slashed diagonally downwards. A stretched fireball brought the other two fireballs to an end during impact. He continued by unleashing another fire wave towards the remaining wolf in an upward motion. This time the fire had sliced through the fourth and hurled towards a pile of ruins where a couple of bandits and wolves were standing. The impact formed an explosion and brought the ruins beneath them to crumble.
The flash of lightning revealed that he was no longer in the air, but on the ground in a crouching position with his right foot extended in front and his left bent behind. His katana was established in a slanting position close to his left waist while point backwards. With the clapping of thunder, he launched himself forward and appeared in a dashing yet sliding motion. When he had passed Onyveth he quickly came to a halt and drew his blade forward, unleashing a wider wave of fire in an upward diagonal slash. More ruins came crumbling down like tons of brick. His attacks only proceeded as he unleashed a precise barrage of fireballs in the form of a wave around Onyveth. He sliced diagonally upwards, downwards, vertically upwards, downwards and horizontally left and right while moving around his ally. The attacks had caused everything around them to explode in impact. This wasn’t going to be enough however. They were still able to stand up. He showed no signs of fatigue from his continuing barrage.
While he was attacking he brought his eyes towards Onyveth. Her right arm was scratched and she was kneeling on one leg. “I’ve got your back,” he assured in a firm tone. He couldn’t mimic her cure ability because he had to see it again in order to do it. He didn’t know how, but it appeared that whenever he saw something even if it was only for a moment, he was capable of doing it as well, but not after some time. It was like forgetting. If this continued on, perhaps he needed to use his strongest move. It was a limit break, however he was unaware of that. He threw his katana to his left hand and continued to unleash waves of fire. Their surroundings gave them somewhat of a disadvantage due to the fact that attacks could have happened on all sides. “Is there a cave nearby?” he asked in a clear tone through the thunder and lightning.

Onyveth knelt down on the ground, clutching her right arm as she caught her breath. Droplets of water fell from the sky, washing out the blood that seeped through. It was just a superficial wound. Nothing more. But the searing pain it brought, Onyveth could only wonder how much longer she would last out here in the middle of a fight. It made her feel weak. Helpless. After so much time tending to her thoughts, Onyveth didn't notice another pack approaching, catching her off guard and was about to brace herself for the worst to come. The next thing she knew a cloud or smoke of some sort filled her entire surroundings. Blind in a sense, all she could hear were yelps of pain and the quick stroke of a blade. She could only imagine what must've been happening in the dense cloud. But from the sound of it, she began to think she was better off not knowing what was truly happening. And so she buried her head between her knees, staying put. It was no use fighting blind in a situation she couldn't control.
After a few moments, she looked up and the cloud of dust had already dissipated. Her surroundings seemed to have indicated that there was an explosion of some sort whilst the part of the ground that formed around her appeared to have been completely untouched or unscathed. She looked on to find some wolves, dead. A couple were badly mutilated. Some burnt. Others lying in a pool of their own blood. Their masters she could see buried under a pile of rubble; presumably dead. Bewildered with what she was seeing, the firm tone of the man's voice nearly startled her.
[glow=purple,2,300]"... Overkill is not in your vocabulary, is it?"[/glow] she mumbled under her breath, unable to comprehend what had just happed in the last few moments. It was as though she had just witnessed something that was quite impossible.
[glow=purple,2,300]"A... a cave?"[/glow] She asked, her voice a little shaky. She was still much too concentrated on the damage done to the surrounding area. [glow=purple,2,300]"Y-yeah, sort of... not really, but... it's a good hiding spot. There's food, supplies, beds, everything! Come on, I'll show you!"[/glow] Onyveth stood up rather quickly, which was a big mistake as she began to feel like all the blood was quickly gushing down her head. She felt her strength waning. From shock? Exhaustion? It didn't seem to make a difference anymore. Onyveth tugged on the man's right hand, beckoning him to follow her. She started to walk, then run a bit at her own pace towards the destroyed mako reactor.
This place of hiding she was refering to was actually a medical wing of sorts, two levels beneath the reactor as to not contaminate those injured or sick with mako, but since it was ShinRa who built it, it didn't seem to matter. The only thing she had failed to mention that there was a slight possibility that it was destroyed after the reactor exploded nearly five years ago. But since it was underground, there was that slight possibility that it could have survived...
[glow=purple,2,300]"The entrance is that way..."[/glow] she pointed out, but it was blocked by a large heavy sheet of metal bearing the ShinRa's logo.

The man saw her bleed as she quickly stood up. She told him that there was a good hideout around here where basic needs were stored. Without any hesitation he began to follow her while she tugged on his right arm. He continued his attack during their escape. He unleashed a few more blows of scattering fire towards the opposition. This caused the ruins to collapse together in the middle behind the two.
Once they both came to a halt in front of the hideout she had spoken about, she pointed to what was suppose to be the entrance way, having been blocked by a large and heavy metal object. There appeared to be a symbol engraved on it. The man was hesitant. He remembered seeing this symbol before during his journey and it brought back some memories. It now reminded him of more memories from what he presumed to be his past. He came to look back at the memories that reached his mind when he first saw the symbol as well.
They were fragmented memories. He saw a large towering door, a huge structure of a building, test tubes full of refined mako, and people in blue uniforms. He saw a large man that looked just like him, another surrounded in darkness and a vast pool of mako where a creature inhabited. There was also a vast war happening beneath him. He then saw himself floating in the sky over the clouds.
He quickly brought himself back to reality. With one swing of his katana there came a moment of silence. In a couple of seconds the giant metal object that blocked their way came falling down. This time he held Onyveth’s arm and ran inside. Lying before them were objects that were once a wall, a ceiling, doors, stairs, and more. This was a good hideout either way. As they went deeper, the place appeared more like the inside of a hospital.
He laid Onyveth on the floor while laying her head gently on the ruins of a wall. He had to find something quick for her wound and blood. “I’ll be back,” he said as he left. He looked everywhere in each room. A smile formed across his face without knowing it. After, It appeared as though he knew what he was doing. He entered the room to his left and punched through a pile of rubble. When he brought his arm out a refrigerator door was opened wide.
When he returned to Onyveth, he revealed in his possession a few elixirs and a bucket of water. He kneeled in front of her and placed the items just to her right. Tearing a piece of his leather vest with his katana, he then pampered it gently over the wound and placed it in the bucket of water. The wound only continued to seep out blood. He then squeezed the blood out and did everything once more. After, he ended the repeated act by wrapping and tying the leather around her wound.
He placed his palm under her chin and later on brought it onto her forehead. He laid the finger tip of his thumb under her left eye and after her right. He supported her right forearm from the bottom with his left hand, and he then placed some pressure on her forearm using his right thumb. When he lifted his thumb his eyes were fixed on that very spot. After, he brought his right index and middle finger on her wrist pulse. He was doing an analysis. Bringing his arms back to his sides, he started to speak. “Based on my diagnosis you appear to suffering from extreme fatigue. You are lacking nutrition, the right proportion of food that the kind of body you have requires. To make matters worse, you consume unnecessary energy by your open acts of boldness. You’re holding back a lot of stress as well. You’re very strong, but you need to take it easy for awhile, otherwise your immunity will falter. Is that understandable?”
These were not his thoughts or feelings, facial expression or tone of voice-it wasn’t him. They had belonged to a doctor that had died during the meltdown incident of the mako reactor in Gongaga. Strangely, the man was unaware of this. “Drink only one bottle, that is all that you require. You should be safe here.” Once he stood up, those feelings and thoughts were leaving him. He drew his katana over his left shoulder and began to walk away. “I cannot let this go, and so I will eliminate every single one of these pests in one last effort until there is nothing left of their existence.” His voice was somewhat laid back (like Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean). “I have a few questions that I would like to ask you when I return.”

Within a blink of an eye the man she led sliced the large obstacle in two. She watched it fall apart, wide-eyed in disbelief once more at the strength he posessed. He then took her by the arm and headed inside, basically dragging her while she tried desperately to keep up to his pace, heading deeper and deeper into the old abondoned medical quarters. They followed the hallways and entered a room, and as soon as they got in, the man made her lie down on the floor with a promise of his return.
[glow=purple,2,300]"But I'm... fine..."[/glow] she sighed, unable to finish her sentence as she watched him leaving her alone and uncertain whether he heard her or not. Onyveth sat back upright, crossing her legs and vaugely winced as her right arm began to sting again. It wouldn't stop bleeding. This wasn't the worst injury that she had sustained in her life, but began to think it might have been the bloodiest. The sound of howling wolves caught her attention. It echoed through the halls and passageways giving her an eerie feeling. She heard footsteps nearby. Had those bandits and their vicious pets followed them through the entrance? Unaided and unfit for combat, Onyveth swallowed the lump in her throat and readied her weapon. She sighed out of relief as soon as the azure-haired man came back into the room with a handful of Elixirs.
[glow=purple,2,300]"Water... great... as if I'm not drenched from the rain already!"[/glow] she muttered in a sarcastic tone after spotting the contents of the bucket. She winced as the man cleaned out her wound, later wrapping it in a cloth of his own vest. Her arm felt a little better and Onyveth was about to thank him but was suddenly stopped as soon as he began examining her, evaulating her physical condition. She pulled away a couple times, once again getting uncomfortable with the invasion of personal space that came between them.
[glow=purple,2,300]"I'm fine! Quit it!!"[/glow] She stopped struggling as soon as the man explained she was suffering from exhaustion. Onyveth averted her eyes as if from embarrasment. It was true, and she tried to hide it. But he, even though they had just met mere moments ago, could see right through her. He turned to leave with katana in hand, stating he was about to eliminate the rest of the opposition. Onyveth couldn't care less about obliterating anyones existance today. But according to her own stubborn nature, she wasn't about to set this fight aside either, and so she completely disregarded everything he had told her.
[glow=purple,2,300]"Good. I've got some questions for you too, No-Name. But don't think you're leaving me behind! Not after what they've done to me too!"[/glow] Onyveth got up to her feet, pocketing one of the Elixirs he had brought her. She darted past the man before he left the room, heading towards the staircase that lead up. She took out her rattan sticks in case she met up with any adversaries along the way. Her grip on her right hand was weak compared to the other due to obvious reasons but she wasn't going to let that stop her. Onyveth headed out back into the pouring rain, stopping in her tracks. The sound of thunder filled the darkenend skies, only to find no one was around. It was as though she could feel someones eyes boring into the back of her head, and expected to be the azure-haired man right behind her. Instead, she found a wolf bearing its teeth, snarling menacingly at her as it stood above the entrance. It pounced itself towards her but Onyveth quickly moved out of the way, making a swipe at its head with her weapon and it fell to the ground motionless, most likely unconcious than dead. It was just a simple maneuver and she already felt out of breath. She began to think she should've had Elixer before she went out...

The azure-haired man looked with tensed eyes as Onyveth ran passed him. He brought his free hand on the top of his forehead and started to scratch his scalp with the finger tips. He sighed. He couldn’t understand her. Perhaps he was unable to comprehend women at all. However, this female, she was… “Unique,” he mumbled under his breath. He rolled his eyes while he continued moving forward. Suddenly he was attacked by a bandit from above. The azure-haired man swinged his blade horizontally upwards over his head, thus slicing the bandit in half as if no one was there in the first place. He threw his katana over his shoulder once again.
While he made his way outside, the hot droplets of water began to pour onto his head and over his face. He watched the female gasping for breath. Judging from the scene, it appeared a wolf pounced from behind in an attempt to take her out, but she was capable of handling the situation by moving aside then determining and inflicting in an efficient spot the most damage. Unfortunately, the wolf was unconscious not dead. The creature would have been dead if Onyveth was in a full health, he was sure of it. He began to speak in an unchanged tone. “You’re bold, stubborn, you hide your pain to keep people from worrying, but why?” He said as he passed by her. “I can see that you worry about others and so you come to their aid without any hesitation and any thoughts of protecting yourself-you are so selfless it pisses me off.” He dragged his blade onto the ground, causing the sound of friction to spread through the atmosphere. “You tried to save me without thinking of your own safety, and here I am trying to repay you. Really…” He said before continuing to speak.
The azure-haired man slowly brought his free hand into his pocket and slowly reached for something. It was a capsule of some sort he found in the hospital. “I don’t understand women at all.” He opened the top and began drinking the transparent substance within the substance. After he was done he threw it away to the side. It easily broke against the wet ground. The mako in his blade glowed tremendously. He threw the blade up in the air. It twirled during its flight in midair. He brought both is hands towards his forehead and slicked his azure hair backwards. He slowly extended his left arm above his head and took hold of the blade by the diamond designed hilt. He planted his feet onto the ground and lazily brought his right arm swinging to his side.
The mako in his eyes shone through the dirty yellow and blood lust pupils that made him look like a monster. The mako in his eyes appeared like large flames that were unable to be lit out by the heavy rain. His default expression formed into a serious look. A transparent image of Emerald Weapon suddenly appeared behind him. This was influenced by the mako shrouding the Emerald alloy blade, and it was only going to make things worse. He felt his entire body pounding like a heart. The mako circulating within him was moving in a fast rate. “If you want to continue fighting, use the elixir to bring you back to full strength. During this time you are my ally in battle, and I require your strength.”
With a twirl of the katana around his left hand, he sheathed it, but leaving it unsheathed by an inch to the end of the blade. Then he stated in a clear tone, “Limit Break: Gaia’s Upheaval-First Adrenaline.” Suddenly the image of Emerald Weapon roared as it started to dive towards the opposition and after faded away. The azure-haired man disappeared from sight, as if he became part of the darkness and light. There wasn’t a moment of silence or hinder in the battle. He formed just a few meters away from the right side of a batch of wolves. A streak of light then followed behind. Without any moment to spare he disappeared once more and reappeared behind a bandit that shot forward a bolt spell. Another streak of light appeared through the thunder and the enemy’s body. The katana was kept sheathed. The strike of thunder and flash of lightning in the darkened sky revealed what had happened-the bodies were split in half as they fell.
The azure-haired man looked at Onyveth with his flaming left eye from above a pile of rubble. He disappeared once more in order to continue the onslaught. The consequence of using this limit break with his current experience however was fatal, but he had no choice. If it was one thing that he remembered, it was his way of fighting, including this limit break. Unfortunately he was unable to tap into the power that he once had. He wasn’t finished mastering this limit break either. While he continued his attack he felt his body heating up. If this continued any further, the surging mako within him was going to burst through his skin and that wasn’t something that anyone would ever want to see happen.
The azure-haired man appeared everywhere in the form of an afterimage. His body was being pushed even more. Streaks of light appeared everywhere. The rain continued to strike the earth hard. He gripped the hilt of the katana even harder because of the internal pain he was feeling. Maybe it was best for him to end his life right now so that he would be able to escape a world where he felt he didn’t belong, but the thought of who he was and his past still wondered in his mind. In addition, there was this female that he was fighting alongside right now. He couldn’t let this feeling which he didn’t know was called kindness, to go empty handed.

Onyveth wiped the droplets of water off her brow with the back of her hand as it trickled down the side of her face, looking up to find the man passing by her. She smirked, almost laughed at the question thrown at her if not for the fact he couldn't comprehend that of the opposite sex. She couldn't explain it, even to herself: The reason why she did what she did. It was just in her nature - to follow her heart and did what it told her. It was all she knew. She nodded, giving a sincere look at the man as if saying I understand. He was right. As of this moment they were comrades and Onyveth needed her strength back.
She remained crouched as she took out the Elixir, taking a quick swig of the bottle, feeling the refreshing yet odd-tasting contents of the potion running down her throat, revitalizing her entire body. Her senses sharpened. Health restored, but not fully. She stood up, pocketing whatever remains were left in the bottle. She spun her weapons through her fingers and posed an offensive position. She only hoped this would be a rather short battle - the effects of the potion didn't seem to be enough to last for very long. With a yell of defiance, she charged towards an oncoming pack of wolves. She had had enough of these beasts and was determined not to let them live through another day - that was her mistake last time.
As the gap between her and her adversaries closed in, she leaped overhead them, twisting her body in mid-air summoning a level two ice spell before landing on her feet. It had frozen some of wolves causing them to stand motionless on all four paws, as if it were a sculpture created out of ice. One wolf managed to survive the blast pouncing itself towards Onyveth. She acted upon insticts, bracing herself as it began mauling on her right arm. If it wasn't for the thick strap of leather wrapped around her arm she was certain it would've been gashed. Again. Without a second thought, she conjured a small gravity spell to repel the wolf sending it hurling towards its frozen canine brethren. It yelped in pain as she watched it die slowly, with pieces of sharp ice piercing through its frame. Upon hearing the crack of a whip, she found the end of a whip wrapped around one of her rattan sticks and was suddenly pulled out of her grasp. She turned to find a lone muscular bandit, at least six feet in height, standing no more than ten feet away from her with whip in hand, staring menacingly at her.
[glow=purple,2,300]"What is wrong with you?! Can't you see we just wanna be left alone?!"[/glow] she yelled through the pouring rain, her voice drowned in the sound of thunder. The bandit didn't answer and continued to look upon her with a predatory smile and badly maintained teeth. She bent her knees slightly, left side facing her adversary. He approached her slowly, chuckling at the fact he was facing a teenage girl basically armed with a two foot long bamboo stick. As soon as he got close enough, she made a swipe at him. He cackled, blocking her attack by grabbing hold of the stick throwing it away. Empty handed, Onyveth tried the next best thing - she clentched her fists and punched the man a few times squarely in the chest and stomach, ending her attack with a round kick. Her attempt to even injure him was all in vain since all it caused him to do was laugh menacingly. Soon bandit quickly wrapped his whip around her neck, depriving her of oxygen, overpowering her. She fell to her knees, instinctively grasping onto the lash around her neck, holding on to as long as she could.
She released her right hand and started to grope the ground, searching for something she could use to hit the man with. A rock. A metal shard. Anything. Salty-tears ran down her cheeks... or was that the rain? If this was the end of her, it didn't seem to matter. Stretching out her fingers, she felt a sharp, metal, cylinder-like object lying on the ground. Without wasting a single second, she reached for the object and stabbed it through the man's chest. She looked into his eyes. The menacing expression replaced by a blank stare, slowly but surely as his life started to slip away. His grip loosened. She felt the warm stream of his blood trickle down her hand as she thrusted the pipe further into his body. She pushed his body away from her, coughing, gasping for air removing the leather whip around her neck. This was actually her first real kill... never before had she actually taken another life of that of another person. The sound of thunder snapped her back into reality and Onyveth looked around searching for her ally, as it appeared they both got seperated. He was nowhere in sight, at least in her range of vision. She would've called out his name, but, he didn't have one.

The azure-haired man would have helped Onybeth, but his mind was fully distracted by their enemies and by the tremendous pain he was feeling surging throughout his body. The eyes of mako that burned like wild fire trailed behind every single time he reappeared. The tensing of the jaw muscles expressed the great pain he was feeling. Attack after attack, he didn’t stop to watch his targets fall to their graves. It was like he was gathering the living and killing them off on purpose-the messenger of the dead masses, the creation of Gaia, or perhaps a being tainted by the fires of sin and has emerged as the ender of existence.
He felt a burning sensation that only urged him to continue. Then he called out once more. “2nd adrenaline.” Suddenly smoke began to pour out of the wholes on his skin. This time when he struck, the streak of lights were followed by a terrible screeching sound, like the sounds of a jet passing by. What am I doing, he thought to himself while his onslaught continued. He kept telling himself in his mind to stop but this feeling was uncontrollable.
However, if he continued attacking like this he was eventually going to end up dead. In this rate, no being alive was capable of leaving the battlefield. Streaks of light and screeching sounds continued to fill the air. I can’t control it, I’m going to end up dead by my own hands, for once in his life he felt fear, but it was fear for himself. He quickly pulled back and intentionally dropped onto the ground. His entire body was twitching and all his left fingers were implanted into the earth’s soil. It was like he was having an addiction. “Stop… stop!” He exclaimed. It was then he hurled the blade through his own abdomen and implanted it deep into the ground. He was attempting to pin himself down.
He was now laying there on the wet ground and was facing the dark sky. It appeared his body was becoming less berserk and much calmer like a tranquilizer dart had just struck him. The mako that burned like flames in his eyes slowly faded away. He was so confused that tears began to seep through his eyelids and trace down his temples. It would have been difficult to tell seeing how it was raining hard though. “What the hell am I,” he mumbled with mixed feelings of sadness and anger. For the enemy, this was the perfect opportunity to eliminate him, and so those who had remained alive approached him and started to attack. It was such a pitiful sight. The bandits were kicking his body, spitting on him and the wolves were biting him. The others went towards Onyveth with the goal of eliminating interference and capturing her.

She continued to search for her ally, but he was still nowhere in sight. Had she strayed that far from him? Onyveth got up from her crouch position and took the whip that nearly killed her. Looking onwards, she found him. A sharp pang of fear struck her after witnessing her comrade stab himself as he lay helplessly on the ground. What the hell was he thinking, she thought wildly to herself, as her eyes burned with anger unable to accept what was happening. She cursed under her breath as she averted her attention to a small group bandits that came after her. Normally, she would've gone head to head against them but since she was unarmed with naught but a whip she didn't know how to use, she ran in the opposite direction, away from the bandits that came after her.
Staying close the the ruins of the reactor, she found a small opening upon heaps of metal sheets and piles of rubble that once made a wall long ago. She was short and slender (compared to those who followed her) so therefore she had no trouble fitting inside the small hole, climbing higher and higher to God knows where this path would lead her. She climbed out the other end, finding herself on top of the remains of the mako reactor. The rain started to lessen but the dark sky remained. She could see from the top that the men who remained with her ally started to beat him up.
[glow=purple,2,300]"Ge'off him!!"[/glow] she yelled, throwing whatever she had lying around to avert their attention from him to her. She threw a few pieces of shrapnel, one of them piercing the back of a wolf. She considered it to be a lucky shot since she never intended hitting anyone, especially when there was posibility she could hit her fallen comrade as well. Her plan to gain their attention seemed to have worked, as the bandits started to run after her. They were all after her now, she thought horribly, realitiy finally hitting her. And she didn't have any means of escape... clearly, she didn't plan this out thoroughly.

Was this the end of his journey? It couldn’t be. However, his vision was blurring and he was blacking out. This girl, she was protecting him instead of running away. Then again how was she able to run away if these nuisances were keeping an eye on her? Pain engulfed his entire body like a corpse on fire. He couldn’t even protect someone else.
Suddenly he heard Onyveth yell towards the bandits to get off of him. He slowly opened his eyes and looked up towards the darkened sky. Dammit, he thought to himself. I’m not suited in protecting others. I can only protect myself. This was what he admitted and came to realize.
Appearing in the sky above the man was a fluctuating wave of greenish-blue. Something beautiful was replacing the sky. However, in reality it wasn’t there. His mind was becoming distorted. He was beginning to lose touch of reality. His head pounded so much but he was unable to show it.
In reality, the bandits turned away from the man and began to run after Onyveth. They stared at her with their menacing grins. Some wolves continued to nibble on the man, when suddenly an arm reached out and took hold of the wolf on his left. His fingers implanted themselves into the wolf’s neck and chocked it to death. There was no time for it to yelp. Another wolf leaped from the opposite side and bit the man’s arm in an attempt to free its comrade.
The right arm of the man pulled the katana out with ease. The katana was flipped by the right palm and positioned above the attacking wolf-the blade was pointing downward towards its upper body. It a flash of lightning the blade hurled through the creature and was turned into what appeared to be something like stake. The man slowly stood up with his upper body arched forward. He slowly raised his left arm, revealing the dead wolves still hanging onto him. This was because of the teeth which were still implanted into his arm.
He pulled his katana out and threw his left arm aside. This tore the wolves away from his forearm. Mako seeped endlessly through his wounds and dripped all over his body and onto the ground. He proceeded by shifting his upper body forward and rising to his toes. His entire body came hurling towards the pitiful beings. He reached and took hold of the head of his first target with his left hand and did an outward slash horizontally with his katana using his right. The blade sliced through the mid-section of its target and continued towards the right. The katana came to a halt after hacking itself into the waist of another bandit. The man slammed the bandit onto the ground with a swipe of his katana downwards, and then he placed his right leg onto the bandit’s chest. In a mere three seconds he turned the blade outwards and brought it upwards in one smooth motion. This decapitated the entire body of the bandit in half even though it didn’t look like it.
He continued his attacks, slaughtering them dreadfully while showing a cynical facial expression. “Disappear,” he repeated after every slash with no emotion in his tone. He suddenly stared upwards with mako eyes. They were fixed on Onyveth’s. At this moment his eyes were bone-chilling despite the flowing light. Something was dark and sinister about them. “What’s the matter human?” he said in an emotionless tone before throwing his katana over his shoulder.

Onyveth peered over the edge from the top of the metallic structure, watching as her adversaries conjured up balls of fire towards her, missing her by mere inches. At least they're not beating him up, she thought optimistically as she saw her ally rise to his feet, slaughtering those who had attacked him.
The sound of creaking metal caught her attention and looked down once again to find some bandits attempting to climb the ruins she stood on. She cursed under her breath as the remains of the reactor didn't appear stable, and looked as though it was about to fall apart at any given moment. She would've gone down the way the same way she climbed up, but spotted a couple wolves had managed to slip inside the small tunnel. It was only a matter of time before they reached her.
She looked around frantically for a means of escape. She looked down again - it was at least a thirty foot drop, with jagged shrapnels lying ever so close to the structure with nothing but the hard, wet, rocky ground to break her fall. She soon came to realize she was still holding onto the whip that nearly strangled her. Why on earth was she still clutching onto it? No matter. It seemed useful right about now. She tied the end around a solid metallic beam that served as the support structure, holding tightly at the other end. She looked back, swallowing the lump that formed in her throat. There was no time to think - it was now or never.
At the first glimpse of the wolf crawling out of the small tunnel, Onyveth threw herself from the top of the reactor, holding onto the whip tied to the support beam. She screamed slightly, as to being terrified of heights more than anything she could think of. She then summoned the strongest gravity-based spell he could conjure, aiming directly towards the ruined mako reactor before letting go of the whip. She tumbled to the ground bruising her left leg and laid down there, placing her arms over her head as the reactor came crashing down with her enemies inside of it. She kept her eyes closed, breathing heavily, surprised at herself she had survived her own stunt. For once there was silence. No angry mob of men out to kill them. No barking wolves threatening to hunt them down. She could only assume they were all dead. Just the gentle pitter-patter of the rain as Onyveth lied face down towards the ground, completely drained of energy once again.

The azure-haired man watched everything that was going on. Suddenly he snapped back into his senses, but he still possessed those mako eyes. He quickly approached Onyveth with his katana sheathed behind his back. He came to a halt just a few inches away from her head. He looked down upon her while she was upside down. His entire face was soaked in blood, as well as his clothes and arms. “Humans are such delicate creatures,” he stated. Suddenly dis eyes widened. What am I saying? he thought to himself while he stared with somewhat of a shocked expression. He slowly crouched down with his left arm hanging over his left thigh.
He quickly shook his head and slowly lifted Onyveth over his shoulder. Soon they left the battlefield. Moments later he appeared under a tree, laying the girl against the wet bark. The scent of the leaves was refreshing and warm. He dropped onto the floor and bent his legs, placing his arms over his knees while fixing his eyes onto Onyveth. He then tucked his head under his arms.
It was a mistake for her to get involved in his fights. People who rationally involved themselves with him would have eventually meet their end and that was no joke. If they couldn't equal him in power and strength, then they didn't stand a chance at all. The dangers he attracted were abnormally large. "Why did you have to run in and fight in the first place you moron..." he mumbled with a tone of contradicting feelings. "Now look what happened."

Onyveth felt like a broken wheat bag as she lied face down on the ground, motionless except for the slow rise and fall of her chest to indicate she was still breathing. She felt so pathetic. She hadn't even the strength to open her own eyes. Everything was pitch black and she could only assume she was dreaming if not dead. A fragrant yet familiar scent filled the air and Onyveth couldn't help but feel a gentle smile form at the corner of her lip.
She opened her eyes slightly annoyed with the constant raindrops falling upon her forehead and found herself lying against a large tree. Her eyes widened, unable to believe she recognized this spot. The memories came flooding back: she remembered at the age of 12, climbing that particular branch, and falling down fracturing her arm. She remembered in those following months, she and friends had planned to make a tree house of sorts, but quite apparently the childhood project was never completed, nor had it even been put into action. She heard a man muttering, and Onyveth recognized the voice to be of her blood-stained eyed ally.
[glow=purple,2,300]"Who the hell are you callin' a moron, moron? I'm not the one with a death wish!"[/glow] she said, wincing as she sat upright. Onyveth still recalled him during the fight lunging his own katana at himself, as if he has about to commit suicide. She looked over her shoulder to find him sitting on the ground as well, giving him a look as if saying what the hell were you thinking?
[glow=purple,2,300]"You okay?"[/glow] she asked in a softer tone, fury slipping away after noticing him covered in his own blood - the greenish-blue substance she recognized as mako. She eyed his wounds. The bruises. The scratch and bite marks those animals had caused. She reached in her pocket to pull out the remains of her Elixir, having realized she still hadn't consumed it all - although she was told to do so. She threw him the bottle, then got up.[glow=purple,2,300]"Take it. You need it more than I do."[/glow] She looked up at the sky every now and then, waiting for the rain to stop completely. After that she left the tree, in search of the weapons she had lost during her fight. Besides, she hated staying in one spot for too long.

When she threw the almost empty bottle of elixir to the azure-haired man, he flicked his right wrist and caught it. He slowly brought his head up and watched as Onyveth decided to go back and find her weapons. This was pissing him off. It was easy to tell that she had lost most of her energy and now she was going back. Truly he didn’t understand woman at all. Perhaps she was just different from the average kind.
He stared at the bottle of elixir he was holding in his right hand. “What was the symbol back there engraved on that sheet of metal?” he asked out of the blue. “And why do you continue to fight what appears to be the impossible… just who do you think you are?” He slowly shook his head and ran his finger tips through his blue wet hair. He turned away and decided to leave without another word.
The sun had come back up and there was a possibility that the remaining wolves and bandits had left. He waved goodbye without looking back and threw the bottle of elixir behind him and towards Onyveth. He had noticed during their battles that she had the habit of exhausting herself very quickly, and so just incase she got into a battle once more this item was required no doubt.
For some reason he couldn’t help it but leave. His mind and feelings were in disarray and confusion at the moment. Although this may have been the perfect chance to discover something of great significance related to him, his current state got in the way of his thinking. However, he did regain some memories of his past. He also saw something interesting when he lost all sense of reality at that moment in battle. He experienced new feelings and was able to walk forward towards a greater power. He had to thank Onyveth in this case. If their encounter didn’t happen, he may not have come to grasp all this. Now the thought of this quickly changed his mind.
He turned around and brought out a sigh before running passed Onyveth. “It can’t be helped,” he mumbled while he darted forward. “Hurry up.” It just didn’t feel right for him to leave her after what she had done for him. Her gratitude was his weakness. "This feeling makes me look diminutive... I despise it." He sucked his teeth with finally an expression other than that his robotic look.

Onyveth looked over her shoulder after hearing glass breaking upon the ground. She found the man with his back turned away from her waving his hand, and the remains of the bottled Elixir shattered on the ground. It didn't take a genius to figure out he regected the small bottle. She felt a little saddened that he didn't accept her offer, but then again she was one to know of stubborness. He helped her. She helped him. Clearly, there were no more debts to be paid, so she paid it no mind. Onyveth just turned around again and continued to walk away.
It was quite a surprise to her to find the man running past her, telling her to hurry up. She quicked her pace to keep up with his... and to think just a minute ago she thought they were about to part ways.
[glow=purple,2,300]"What feeling?"[/glow] she asked in a oblivious tone, giving a slight smirk. [glow=purple,2,300]"That feeling when you're helping someone out and you know you're doing good? Or the one when you feel inclined to just tag along with me?"[/glow] She laughed. It was supposed to be a joke and a little something to lighten the situation didn't seem to be a bad thing. Not after the hell they have already been through. She strayed just a little ways further from him after spotting something interesting in the mud. Onyveth stopped in her tracks and stooped low to pick it up - it was one of her rattan sticks. She looked around for the other pair but it didn't seem to be around. She then took an opposing stance, rattan stick held on her right hand; her left hand empty but clutched, as if she was gripping her missing weapon. She then swung her weapon making a horizontal stroke, then a quick uppercut, ending it with a diagonal stroke, returning to her original position. She sneered silently to herself - the weapon was still adequate. Now, if only I knew where its other pair was she thought to herself...
