Hmph…
Rain was trying to keep control of himself as he walked near, or rather through, a pack of very loud people. Quite naturally, it was near bar, a thing which also explains most of the senseless conversations between one another, or even between a person and someone he only thought was there. At first Rain thought that they were all just plain dim-witted, as he thought of most people, and yet he still does. Getting drunk, in Rain's mind, was one of the more illogical acts of a human being. He saw no reason to it (unless, of course, one actually wanted to get into a noisy conversation with a crumb-pecking pack of birds).
Not putting much thought into it, Rain kept on walking, letting out a sigh as he got out of the crowd. Looking up at the dusk sky while playing with one of his throwing knives in one hand, he wondered what he was doing there. As of late he started to feel that his life lacks purpose. All he ever does is traveling aimlessly around the world, hoping to run into something that will draw his attention. He let out another sigh as he walked past a corner and into an alley, pondering where he should go next.
(OOC- Apologies if it's rather lame, it's been a while since I last rp-ed)

"Selling flowers! Come and find flowers for a sweet heart!" Aerith called, walking through the people. She was intercepted by someone and she gave over a small bouquet and taking the money before stepping into an alley for a rest. She had been walking around for hours. She had thought that she would have more people buying her flowers here and she was right, but it was hard.
She looked up and saw a man in the alley with her. She smiled and held out a white flower. "Would you like to buy a flower for someone?" She asked, standing again and walking closer to him.

Rain was so deep in his thoughts, that he did not notice the girl until she talked. Like snapping out of a dream Rain regained awareness to his surroundings. Flowers? The sight of that girl, walking around and selling flowers in that gloomy alley, was so bizarre yet there was something so naïve in it. As the night comes down the streets are gradually filling with people whom any woman wouldn't want to run into, especially in one of these alleys. Giving it a second's thought, Rain himself didn't seem so friendly at all, and that's without the knife in hand. That girl had something special in her.
"What's the point in selling these flowers to people?", he finally said after a few moments and shrugged slightly. "Why should someone give his loved ones a flower? Its fate is already determined, as it will decay, like all other things, in their hands after a short while. Shouldn't love be eternal, or is a way of saying to someone that like the flower will crumble and perish so would their love to one another?". Rain shook his head in misapprehension.

Aerith smiled at Rain. He thought about this too much - she had run into males and females like this. Vincent was one... or, at least before she died. "Everything in life will decay, it's just the way of life. I can't help that. But, people like to think of the now. Look how pretty it is now." Aerith held up one rose, "It's perfect. They see love as a first impression, and these flowers first impressions are perfection. They don't think deeply into the decaying of these flowers. They think nothing of it. They just throw them out and get more for their loved one."
Aerith held one out to Rain again, "It does look like perfection, hm? Try not to think to hard into it - it won't do you well in life." She chuckled and observed him for the first time. He was frightening, but she had no reason to fear him unless he tried to hurt her, which would be kind of bad. But, she could always run. She may not have been strong, but she was quick as a bunny. Rain shook his head, "I rather think too hard than not to at all. People who only think on the present are just proving my theory", he stopped and turned around, his back to Aerith and his face now to the street behind the alleyway. A bunch of three or four men walked slowly and heavily, supporting one another in order not to fall, while singing a song which words couldn’t be understood. Rain looked over his shoulder and simply said, "People are dumb".
Shaking his head again, he turned to Aerith once more, his look now on the rose she held. "Of course they only think on the present", he said as he took the flower from her, "They're incapable of thinking about the future, so they concentrate all of their strength into what is happening now… Though many fail at that too". Rain examined the flower for a few moments. It was indeed beautiful, though its fate was known. He put it in his belt pocket, as he took out some gil, and handed it over to Aerith, "I believe that should do".

Aerith chuckled, shaking her head. "It's true some people are incapable, but most people are just scared. People don't like thinking of the future because something like this will happen - or, something like what you describe will happen. Sometimes, they're scared of thinking someone close to them might die, or their relationship might die. They're scared to think of the future because of the sorrow it holds."
Aerith was trying to make a point, but if the other wouldn't accept it, she'd agree to disagree on the matter. She didn't fight. People had their own thoughts and opinions, but it's good to state yours so you don't agree to something you might not like. It's as simple as that. Talk, but don't push your beliefs onto another person. That might hurt them, make them discouraged, or even get them angry and then you would have a fight of either the fists or of the mind, neither of which are good. [/blockquote]
