In the Church again. (open)

It was a beautiful day for Sector 5. The sun was up, and the church was peaceful. Not one single soul was there. The the doors barged open. A fugitive was running away from Reeve and his men. He stole two jewels and killed a man. Reeve was hoping to capture him.

Reeve stopped and ducked to avoid fire from the fugitive. He then looked up and started firing at the fugitive. The two soldiers too fired, but they used the benches as cover. So far the were missing, then one of Reeve's shots skimmed the fugitive's leg. He was wounded, but was able to escape before Reeve and his men were able to catch up.

"Hold your fire!" Reeve ordered as he stood up. "We'll let the authorities catch him." Reeve turned around as his men stood waiting for him to pass. Then, as Reeve walked pass his men and they began to follow, a figure appeared in the doorway. Reeve stopped to see if he knew who it was.

"Who are you?" he asked the mysterious figure. While he waited for a reply, he noticed the figure was a male. He at first got no reply, so he again asked, "Who are you, young man?" He prepared his gun, anticipating the figure to launch an attack.

Walking through the slums of Sector 5, continuing his exploration of the now run down and ruined city of Midgar, the figure of a young man, around the age of 28, carrying a spear on his shoulder and wearing familar looking clothes, made his way towards a large church he could see not too far away. His bright blue eyes scanning the area for any signs of activity, but it would seem that all the people who used to love here had left or been evacuated for some reason. The expression on this young man's face was one of sadness, yet also showed some signs of angry and hatred.

"This could have been none other then Shin-Ra's doing... surely...!"
The spear wielding, dirty blonde haired man said to himself out loud through gritted teeth. As he continued to walk onwards towards the church, his eyes lifted up and he noticed a large hole in the roof of the church. What could have made that? It didn't bother him too much to think about it though, as he suddenly heard the sound of running feet and dust being kicked up.

The young man ran off towards the sounds he heard and just managed to catch a glimps of 3 men disappearing into the church doorway. He didn't get a good view of the man leading the group, but he recognised the outfits of the 2 men following instantly.

"SOLDIER!!!! Shin-Ra is here?!?"
And with that, the young man gripped his spear tightly in his hand and ran towards the doorway of the church, hearing gun shots coming from within side. By time he reached the doorway and peered inside, the sounds of gunfire had stopped and he found himself face to face with a smartly dressed man with black hair, and 2 SOLIDER Class 2 officers.

"I'm Arddyn..."
The young man said through gritted teeth as he was asked the question by the smartly dressed man. He stared at the gun barrel, not showing any signs of fear. He felt anger welling up inside him. He hated Shin-Ra for everything it was worth and now, this could be his chance for revenge.

Reeve seemed to think that the man was going straight for him first. So with that thought he ordered his men to stand down. They put their guns down and waited for something to happen. "If he attacks, I'll take care of him myself." He began to slowly walk towards the man, preparing himself, but seeming to put his gun away.

"Might I ask what you're doing here Arddyn?" Reeve asked, trying to figure out if he was an accomplice to the escaped fugitive. Yet, the closer he got, the more he saw the anger in Arddyn's eyes. Reeve thought that Arddyn might think he's still with ShinRa because his men dreesed like SOLDIER Second Class. So, assuming that, he said, "If you think we're part of ShinRa, you've got it all wrong." Reeve, still moving slowly towards Arddyn, waited for a reply to determine if he was correct in his thinking.

Arddyn laughed to himself under his breath and took a step back away from Reeve, grabbing his spear and holding it defensively, the point of the spearing pointing towards the smartly dressed man. The anger was still in his eyes and was now etched across his face. His grip on the spear was tight as he felt his knuckles started to strain from the force. A drop of sweat worked its way out from underneath the white bandanna he wore around his forehead and the few bangs of hair that dangled out from the bandanna, moved slightly in the wind as it gently blew past.

"I'm here because I had to come see what had happened to Midgar..."
The young man said angrily as he kept his ground now, continuing to hold his spear at his side with the tip ready to be thrusted at the smartly dressed man if he made a wrong move.

"And cut the crap you Shin-Ra scum... Thats exactly what you said when your men came and took over Rocket Town... and I can see quiet clearly from those two men behind you, that they are SOLDIER... So you can't fool me with your Shin-Ra lies! You won't fool me again!"
He said fiercely, starting to shout towards the end of the sentence. He he start to feel his hands shake slightly. It had been a long time since he had to last deal with anyone from Shin-Ra, and it didn't seem right to fight here... Something about the church interested him, yet he couldn't put his finger on it yet. So for now, he just swallowed hard and kept his eyes locked onto the smartly dressed man as he slowly walked forwards.

Reeve looked at Arddyn with a slight grin. He stopped and lowered his gun. "We are not with ShinRa. I used to be, but then quit. we are part of the EPO, or Edge Protection Organization. We were chasing down a fugitive before you showed up." he said, trying to explain things. "But if you don't believe me, I guess we could have a little battle."

Reeve looked at Arddyn, hoping for an attack, but he seemed to want to walk away simultaneously. Though, he prepared himself for an attack, while still keeping his gun down. "Come on Arddyn, lay your best shot on me." Smiling at Arddyn, Reeve waited.

Arddyn felt his hands shake again from the sheer force of which he held his spear. There was something about this smartly dressed man... something that didn't seem right. The young man's eyes narrowed as Reeve lowered his gun as if trying to taunt him, to tempt him to attack. Arddyn wasn't stupid and he didn't know that the smartly dressed man was indeed telling the truth, but the past still haunted Arddyn. He hated Shin-Ra and would love nothing else then to sink his spear into the heart of the Shin-Ra company and destroy them for good!

"Trying to trick me again huh? Tempting me to attack you so you can charge and arrest me for assaulting a Shin-Ra officer... Your tricks and lies will not work against me!!"
Arddyn continued to speak in an angry tone. Whenever members of Shin-Ra visited Rocket Town in search for Arddyn to take him back to the Shin-Ra HQ in Midgar, the young, dirty blonde haired man always fought them off. If Reeve were indeed still a member of Shin-Ra, then he surely would have known about this.

"....."
Words failed to leave Arddyn's lips as he tried to speak again, instead he just turned around so he back faced the smartly dressed man and the two SOLDIER Second Class look-a-likes.

"I'd advise you not to taunt me in the future... I might not know what I'd do..."[/i]
He said quietly, looking at the floor. A couple of pieces of materia shone in the end of his spear as the sunlight hit them.

Reeve knew that Arddyn wouldn't attack. He'd have to think Reeve would arrest him. Yet, Reeve still wanted to test his strength. So, he raised his gun at Arddyn. A gun shot was fired, but it missed Arddyn. It came very close though, almost cutting his face. The men raised their guns to attack, but Reeve was quick to reply. "I said hold your fire!" he yelled. The men then lowered their weapons.

Reeve noticed Arddyn turning around in pure rage. Though, Reeve didn't expect to enrage him this much. He prepared himself as Arddyn began his brigade.

Arddyn didn't move from his spot as the bullet from Reeve's weapon zipped past his face. He felt the wind from the bullet at it whistled by and buried itself in a large concrete pillar not far ahead of him. The gun shot continued to echo throughout the church even after a few seconds had passed from it first being fired.

Arddyn turned around to face the man who just had to push his luck too far. Rage consuming him, the young man faced Reeve fully yet kept his spear at his side, not seeming to defend himself. Instead, a piece of materia in the bangle that donned his right wrist, began to glow brightly, radiating a powerful aura that began to swirl around Arddyn as a strange, whistling sound, merely heard about a whisper began to sound from the materia itself. Arddyn lifted up his hand and the instant he did, a massive, bright flash of light envolped the entire immediate area for an instant of a second., followed by a gigantic bolt of lighting that struck down from the heavens and narrowly missed Reeve's feet, hitting the ground with a thunderous roar as the earth shook slightly from the impact, sending large chucks of rock and earth flying in every direction. Arddyn lowered his arm, staring straight into the eyes of the smartly dressed man.

"I'll give you one chance to walk away... Before I cast something a little more powerful, that also won't miss next time..."[/i]
Electricity buzzed around the crater for a second or two, that seemed to be roughly 1.5 meters across. The tips of Reeve's shoes were inches away from the edge of the crater. The young, dirty blonde haired man raised his spear and held it out in front of him, with the tip pointing towards Reeve's gun. Eyes narrowed, he waited for the smartly dressed, black haired mans reply before making his next move.

Reeve looked at Arddyn, again laughing to himself. He got into an offensive position and prepared for a battle. He slightly bent his knees so he could quickly move. "Bring it..." he said, signaling the fight to start.

Quickly moving to an attack, Reeve started with a melee attack. He jumped into the air and then, on his way down, he swung the butt of his gun to the top of Arddyn's head, trying to knock him to the ground.

Arddyn was quick to notice Reeve's attack and merely stepped backwards out of the black haired mans attack. His eyes were focused onto the smartly dressed mans, watching him with a stare that could freeze water in the middle of summer, yet he didn't attack. Although his spear was in his hand, it was now not in any type of offensive or defensive position, just simply upright with the end resting on the ground.

Now being a lot closer to Reeve, Arddyn was able to get a good look at him, again, refusing to attack when he easily had the chance to do so. It hadn't have ran out of MP, nor was he hesitating. He just didn't fight back.

Reeve, as he stood up off the ground, noticed that Arddyn wasn't in any type of position. He decided to hold off his next attack, and looked into the eyes of Arddyn. There was something going on inside of Arddyn's head that Reeve couldn't see. He tried not to notice it, but Arddyn kept staring with the same angered look. Reeve decided to step back before he tried to continue his attack.

"Why don't you attack?" Reeve asked politely. He awaited a reply, but he didn't want to seem like a fight addict.

The dirty blonde haired main smirked slightly when he noticed Reeve hesitate from continuing his attack which would have been pretty easy to do, since the young mechanic was merely standing there with no defense in place. His eyes were still locked onto the smartly dressed mans, making sure he didn't loose sight of him, even once. Upon hearing Reeve speak, the young man answered in a calm tone.

"For someone who claims they are not in Shin-Ra, you certainly seem to be the type of person who shoots first and asks questions later... a very Shin-Ra styled method, if you ask me..."[/i]
He said as the smirk remained on his face, eyes still narrow and still staring at the man in front of him. Arddyn lifted up his hand once more and pointed his palm towards Reeve's chest. The distance between them had closed, but the dirty blonde haired man was still out of touching distance. The same piece of materia that glowed last time, when he cast Bolt 3 at Reeve, began to glow once more. He wouldn't miss from this distance.

"I thought you had some fugitive to catch, instead of wasting your time playing with me?!"[/i]
This wasn't Arddyn's normal behavior. He seemed convinced that this smartly dressed man was part of Shin-Ra yet for some reason he didn't attack or try to get any revenge what-so-ever for what they had done to Rocket Town all those years ago. Even though Reeve had told him he wasn't part of the Shin-Ra company anymore, Arddyn didn't care. He looked like a Shin-Ra officer and the two SOLDIERs behind him only convinced Arddyn more that he was lying.

Reeve was ready to move when he had the chance, but didn't move just yet. His plan was still becoming. For his plan, unknown to Arddyn, was to test his abilities and possibly ask him to join the EPO. "If you wnat to know why I haven't ran off to the fugitive, it's because I am I trying to test your strength. I want to see if you are strong enough to join the EPO," Reeve admitted. He wasn't trying to hide anything.

Though, Reeve started to think Arddyn was going to fire at him no matter what he said, so he prepared himself to move. He was waiting for the right moment.

"A test you say? For the EPO? Heh... fine, you want to test my skills, you got it!!!"[/i]
And with that, Arddyn suddenly moved the direction of his palm from Reeve and over towards one of the SOLIDER look-a-likes that stood behind him. Without wasting a second, the same aura quickly spread around the dirty blonde haired man as he cast a second Bolt 3. A deafening clap of thunder echoed throughout the church, vibrating what was left of the stained glass windows as a bright flash of light erupted from the heavens, throwing down another huge bold of lightning.

Without even waiting to see if the Materia spell hit the SOLIDER look-a-like or not, Arddyn now grabbed his spear firmly in both hands and dived towards the smartly dressed man. His eyes were still locked onto Reeve's even when he cast the bolt of lightning at the SOLIDER, his eyes never left those of the black hair man.

Luckily, Arddyn missed the SOLDIER look-a-like, and as he made his move, Reeve moved to dodge the spear. As he moved he tried to fire at Arddyn, but seemed to just barely miss. He landed and quickly stood up. He prepared himself for a good battle.

He looked at Arddyn watching his every move. Then he ran towards him and use another melee attack. The but of his gun was to hit Arddyn in the side of his stomach. He moved quickly and dived before attacking though.
