Reeve and his men walked out of the church as the the airship for the EPO was landing. It didn't land though. "Why haven't you landed?" Reeve asked the men on board. He got no response. "Rachel do you copy?" he asked. Still no response.
The fugitive began to laugh. "You still don't know, do you?" he said to Reeve. Reeve looked up at the airship hoping it would continue to land, but it simply floated there. Then, men in suits stepped out onto the deck. They were carrying machine guns. "Fire!" the Doctor Franklin Rivera yelled. As a reply, the men on deck fired down at Reeve and his men.
"Move it!" Reeve yelled as he jumped back into the church to dodge the bullets coming down at him. His men were two late, though. They were killed in the crossfire. They laid on the ground in the doorway, blood around them. "No," Reeve whispered to himself. Quickly getting up, Reeve grabbed a machine gun one of his men was holding and began to fire at the men on deck. He was able to kill seven of the nine men on deck. Apparently there was only ten on board.
Reeve then remembered bout the fugitive. As he looked around, he saw Dr. Rivera getting away. "Arddyn, can you get Dr. Rivera?" Reeve asked, trying to hold of the men in the airship. Reeve noticed that someone jumped by him and started running, but didn't know who it was. He couldn't see with the sunlight in most of his vision.

Upon hearing the familiar sound of an airship from outside, Arddyn instantly perked up thinking that his brother, Cid was outside in the Highwind, or more commonly known these days as the Sierra, yet the thought of finally being able to meet with his older brother again after all these years was quickly diminished when he noticed from looking up through one of the holes in the roof of the church, that the airship was totally unknown and looked nothing like Cid's Sierra.
Thats when Arddyn got slightly depressed until he heard the sound of gunfire coming from outside. Pocketing the amulet that Reeve tossed towards him, the dirty blonde haired man ran up to the entrance of the church and hugged one of the wall, looking outside at the chaos that was erupting. Reeve seemed to stumble back into the church and looked to be fine, no wounds from where Arddyn was standing. Then he saw the two SOLIDER Second Class, who were mere rookies, lying down dead in their own blood.
Thats when he heard Reeve call out to him, thinking that the Cid look-alike was still back with the flowers at the rear of the church. Arddyn nodded silently, even though he was standing right next to Reeve and without a moments hesitation, he jumped up and dashed out of the church entrance, trying his best to avoid the gunfire coming down from the few men left onboard the airship, as he ran off behind a pile of rubble, chasing the fugitive.

Reeve continued to fire at the men on the airship. He still failed to hit them, but was able to kill some of the computers in the control room. Out of the corner of his eye, though, he noticed that Arddyn had caught up with Dr. Rivera. He then focused all his attention on the men in the airship and continued to fire.
After several seconds of firing, Reeve finally killed one of the two left on the deck. As the one fell off the airship, the other ordered the pilot to head off. They flew off, but luckily reeve was able to throw a tracker on the side of the ship.
Reeve stood up and ran over to Arddyn and Dr. Rivera. He looked at Rivera on the ground. "Nice job, Arddyn," he said. He picked up the fugitive and clenched a pair of hand-cuffs on his hands that he couldn't escape from.

The fugitive was pretty slow and was little effort to catch up, and when he did, the young mechanic simply tripped him up with his spear again and watched him tumble and trip up, staggering and stumbling for a short distance before collapsing in a heap on the floor. Arddyn quickly caught up and stuck the tip of his spear inches away from the fugitives neck as he stood there and waited patiently for Reeve to catch up and take hold of the fugitive. Arddyn ran a hand through his messy, dirty blonde hair and turned to face the smartly dressed man when the fugitive was securely restrained.
"So who is this guy and why do you need to catch him so badly?" The Cid look-alike asked curiously as he watched the airship fly off into the distance and disappear.

Reeve quickly put his thoughts together and explained the situation. "His name is Doctor Franklin Rivera. He was a scientist that used to work with Shin-Ra on the Jenova project after Hojo started it. After Shin-Ra broke during the events of Meteorfall, he left and tried to do some studies on Astronomy. A year later, he found he wasn't getting anywhere and decided to try and live a normal life. He again wasn't getting anywhere. So he decided to steal some machinery and artifacts to create a weapon to make a threat to the world and become pretty much the ruler of the world." This is why he needed to chase down the fugitive.
"As you can see, he formed a little group to help him, but luckily most of the are gone," he added. He was hoping that Arddyn wouldn't ask anymore. Explaining might get harder then.

Arddyn folded his arms across one another and rested his spear against his shoulder, casting his sparkling blue eyes from Reeve and then back to the Doctor. So it seemed the world didn't get rid of all the lunatics that lived here after the fall of Meteor. It just brought more of them out from hiding. Well at least now there was one less mad scientist who wanted to take over the world on the streets of Midgar. However even though Arddyn was held captive and forced to work inside the Shin-Ra HQ for many years, he never once say this guy, compared to the times he had seen Hojo. Thinking about it, he'd never had seen Reeve before either. Maybe he was starting to forget things? Who'd blame him? Working for Shin-Ra must have been utter hell for the young mechanic.
"So what're you going to do to him now? Kill him?" Arddyn asked another question towards the smartly dressed man.

Reeve was about to move and bring Rivera back to HQ, but was stopped by Arddyn's question. "I'm putting him in Confined Custody," he explain. "Killing him wouldn't do any good to the EPO's reputation." Reeve again was about to move, but didn't do to a thought he had. He wondered why Arddyn hated Shin-Ra still, and turned around to look at him.
"Might I ask, again, why you hate Shin-Ra so much?" he asked politely. He hoped for an actual response this time.

Arddyn narrowed his eyes and gritted his teeth tightly, clenching his fists and staring the smartly dressed man in the eye. He really knows how to press Arddyn's buttons in the wrong order. The young mechanic shook his head and turned away from Reeve, folding his arms and looking towards the floor as he closed his eyes and tried to control the anger he could feel burning inside him. Just the mere mention of the Shin-Ra name annoyed him and made his blood boil.
"I'm not talking about it... I hate them and that's all there is to it!" Arddyn closed his eyes and placed a hand of his forehead, frowning and doing his best to keep out the painful memories once again.

Reeve looked sorry for merely mentioning the name Shin-Ra. "I see," he said. "I'm sorry if asking aggravates you, I just wondered why you hate them so much." Reeve then used a type of teleportation device on Dr. Rivera and sent him away, most likely to EPO headquarters.
He looked at Arddyn before moving anywhere, to see if he'd gotten calmer than he was. "I hope you solve your problem with Shin-Ra soon. Until then, farewell." Reeve began to walk towards Sector 6 of Midgar.

Arddyn turned around and watched as Reeve began to walk away. It seemed that the man was heading for the exit out of Sector 6. Where was he going? What was he going to do now? The mechanic stood there in silence and watched as the smartly dressed man disappeared around a pile of rubble. Many thoughts ran through the mind of the Cid look-alike but he eventually shook his head quickly and came back to his senses, with made him chuckles and little as he turned back around to face the church.
"Come off it Arddyn. He was trying to trick you. That's all those Shin-Ra scum try and do..."
