Tifa returned upon finding the entire stairways blocked by more rubble. She looked on at the demons and saw the small bombs the mechanical demon was holding between his fingers. Maybe that could be of some use...
[glow=blue,2,300]"The building should hold... provided we use them wisely. But what do I know about building stability? Yea. Let's blast through the floors. And give Deepground one hell of an entrance..."[/glow] she commented. She readied herself and put her hands on her ears, preparing for some loud explosion...

The mechanical demon smirked, then tossed them to the ground. A building-shaking BOOM caused both light and dark demons to cover their ears, then the floor gave way. Talk about a tiny titan! The bombs were incredibly made, and made only by a machine's specifications.
Alpha grabbed Tifa before it could cave in and stayed aloft by the rockets beneath his feet, while the other two used their wings to stay up. The floor had caved in, revealing a large hole made by the bombs.
"Was that the kind of boom you were looking for?"
To Alpha's surprise, the next floor caved in...then the next one...and the next one...holy crap!

Azul felt the room shaking and some parts of the concrete was falling off from the ceiling. What the hell? He was in DEEPGROUND HQ and spoke aloud, "DEEPGROUND security, what was that about?" The mike located near his neck transmitted his question to the security room. "Sir that was caused by an explosion from the 1st floor of the Shinra Building above us." The DEEPGROUND SOLDIER calmly replied.Azul nods his head. All have been going as planned. Genesis must already be up there waiting. Time for the calvary. "All rite boys and girls, gear up! I want all Response Teams to be ready to be moved in 5 mins! Your 5 mins starting 2 mins ago!" Azul hefted his cannon and get ready to rush to Genesis's aid.

The floor started to cave in and Tifa tried her best to keep at her feet. Soon, Alpha grabbed her before the the floor collapsed entirely.
[glow=blue,2,300]"Didn't I just say 'use them wisely'? Nevermind..."[/glow] her voice echoed out throughout the abyss created thanks to the bombs. She shook her head and gave out a slight 'whoa' - she knew sixty stories above the ground was high. She didn't realize it was this high... soon she could hear pieces of rubble starting to crack. Scanning the area again, Tifa noticed a support pillar over their heads was about to collapse as well. Amid her hesitation, Tifa could only shout out three simple words to the demons.[glow=blue,2,300]"Move! Fly! Now!!"[/glow]

They complied, quick! All three demons dove right into the hole, straight down deeper into Deepground territory. Still having a grip on Tifa, he tossed more bombs, and blew out a large hole also going further down.
He finally put her on a solid spot, where the bombs did not touch anything. The mechanical demon just smirked, "I am loaded with those bombs. If I personally explode, it will take Shin-Ra building AND Deepground with me skyhigh."
Nytemyre rolled his eyes and glared at the machine, silently reminding him of the mission. Cosmic brushed off some rubble from his shoulder in a placid gesture.
Alpha sighed, air quickly escaping through vents, "Which way now?"

Tifa held on quite literally for her life as Alpha, Cosmic and Nytemyre flew deeper and deeper into their adversaries territory. Another bomb was cast to create a means of escape from the falling pillar. And once more, they headed deeper and farther down into the building.
Once things had gotten a little "safer" and Alpha had set her back on a stable area, Tifa brushed off the debirs and rubble from herself.
[glow=blue,2,300]"Explode now and all their efforts to get this far and to save Duorzum would've all been in vain."[/glow] she commented back. She then loked around and scanned the area. There were what seemed to be drain pipes everywhere, and strangely they seemed to be in working order. There was a tunnel at the end of the passageway but it was too dark to see due to lack of sunlight. She pulled out a couple of her own materias and used their mysterious dim glow as a source of light.
Tifa shook her head - she didn't know this part of the building anymore. She had only been at the upper floors of the ShinRa headquarters. But they were most likely in the sub-terrainial level; she had never set foot in this area until now. [glow=blue,2,300]"I... I think we should just head further down and follow these pipes. These pipes... it looks like they provide Deepground's energy supply. Makes sense since everything else in Midgar is dead..."[/glow] she theorized, only hoping she was right. Without another word, she just followed the path, waiting for the rest of the demons to follow her lead.

"You'll need something brighter than that."
Alpha's thick armor plate slid away, revealing a Power Core where a protomateria would be on the real Chaos. THAT lit up the pipes, in a Lifestream-green glow. It even caused Nytemyre to shy away. The black demon snarled, "You're worse than the golden lightbulb over here!"
Cosmic scoffed and proceeded, not really retorting to the insult. Alpha shrugged as a response.

Tifa raised an eyeborw, slightly impressed with the glowing power core that shone from the mechanic demon's chest. She pocketed back her own materias and once again followed the path downwards towards Deepground. She was unsure how long it took to follow the path without any strange encounters. Tifa then saw a faint glow of light at the end of the passageway. An exit?
[glow=blue,2,300]"Shh! I think I hear something..."[/glow] She hurried over quietly to the light to get a better look at things and beckoned the rest of the demons to come see. It was amazing... so this was Deepground. An entire city that served as a base for these experimental SOLDIERS underneath another city. Never in a million years she would've guessed...
[glow=blue,2,300]"Okay, question: how do we get to Duo through that?"[/glow] Tifa pointed out, referring to the group of dispatched Deepground soldiers before them, marching their way to another particular location.

Mako eyes peered through the darkness above them far off in the distance. It watched the intruders’ movements. Shrouded in the darkness was none other then Belzee. He sat on a curving pipe with his left leg forward and right leg hanging over. At this moment it wasn’t his time to attack. With the glow being radiated by that demon, it was possible for them to attract the attention of the Deepground soldiers.
Speaking of Deepground soldiers, Belzee noticed that Deepground soldiers 9 and 10 of 5-10 were already taking aim. The ten other dispatched soldiers which Belzee had sent were just a decoy for the first phase. However, it didn’t appear that the intruders needed to be drawn out by the temporary decoys due to the radiating light one of the demons possessed, thus ending the first phase.
It wasn’t long till the snipers pulled the trigger, hurling bullets towards the mechanical being. Belzee spoke through the neck phone curving over his left cheek. “Fire,” he ordered firmly, causing the ten dispatched soldiers to take cover behind pipes and wall structures, turn, kneel, aim, and shoot from a secure location. Little did the intruders know, there was another group that Belzee had dispatched, but as cover, specifically 1-5.

Azul heard more explosions while rushing up with Response Team "A" Amethyst along one of the staircase to the top floor to meet the intruders. What are those guys doing? Trying to bring the whole building down? Azul had power down his cannon so that whatever he hit will receive a high electrical surge enough to stunt anything. This will prevent too much a damage to the Shinra building. "Topaz, Emerald, report position."
Topaz: "We're at 0-1-0-3 securing the main exit. Beware staircase 32 onwards are destroyed. We took the carpet(a rising platform like an elevator)."
Emerald: "We're approaching 0-1-1-5. ETA 5 mins. We have to go by detours. Climbing through the pipes."
"Roger." Azul's team Amethyst was in charge of flushing out the intruders and to herd them towards Emerald thus being trapped between the hammer and the anvil. Topaz is to make sure no one escape. Genesis's clones are here somewhere aiding them but if the plan goes successfully, their aid will not be required. Azul looked up and saw flashes of light. Enemy spotted. Azul grin. He held up his hand, halt, clenched his fist, enemy, and pointed with 2 fingers in the direction of the intruders, take them. The group changed direction immediately and marched towards the enemy with speed and stealth. As he went nearer he saw Belzee and his groups of DEEPGROUND SOLDIERS firing at the intruders. He also heard the distinct fire of sniper rounds. Must be the Genesis clones. Didnt know Belzee was so fast. Time to reveal ourselves. "Units fire at will." With one smooth motion Team Amethyst unslunge their rifle and open fire at the inruders. "Enemy spotted at 0-1-2-0. Emerald prepare to flank them. Topaz hold your position." With all preparation complete, Azul fired a barrage of lasers at the intruders.

The machine's protective plating came down, the light vanishing behind it. Bullets bounced off his metal being, bringing his attention to the snipers. He motioned something to Cosmic, and the "celestial" demon got the hint.
Alpha's weapon system engaged, and he launched missiles at the snipers. Nytemyre was having a ball getting hit by those lasers, because he was jumping in front of them! Cosmic then did something that just came naturally to him.
One moment, he wasn't glowing, the next, he was a bright white light! While the missiles were soaring to their targets, the other demon teamed up with Alpha to make the missiles virtually invisible by blinding the targets.
Nytemyre simply snarled and shielded his eyes at the sudden change of light, not expecting that combination of teamwork, "Smart move on your part, Alpha."
The machine just rolled his eyes, and switched visions to infrared.

Copy 110 moved towards the newly blasted hole in the floor then activated the com on his wrist... 110: [glow=red,2,300] "Attention 101-109, there inside now...and there not coming out..."[/glow] the other copies smirked knowingly... 108: [glow=red,2,300] "Sir, should we activate...him ?"[/glow] one of them asked somewhat tentatively 110 Grinned infernally 110: [glow=red,2,300] "not yet, but soon...for now, activate the Internal city defense system..."[/glow] 101-105: [glow=red,2,300] "Sir, Yes sir!"[/glow] As the City defense system activated, the central tower of the Deepground HQ Building began to slowly rotate, and every 2 floors 10 Howitzer119 Cannons deployed... When the tower finally came to rest, all 300 Howitzer119's came online and immediately targeted the nearest unaccounted heat source...which happened to be the now brightly glowing Cosmic... 105: [glow=red,2,300] "Sir, Intruders confirmed, cannons 249-296 locked on target, permission to fire?"[/glow] 110: [glow=red,2,300] "fire at will"[/glow] The Howitzers opened up a massive volly of death... 109: [glow=red,2,300] "Activating Mako Shielding"[/glow] Immediately after the first volly left the cannons a GIANT mako shield enclosed the City of DEEPGROUND...closing off all exits... 107: [glow=red,2,300] "Activating anti air turrents..."[/glow] over 200 "Spider's" deployed in a wide circle around the HQ building and opened fire... |
