What do you want with us?!"[/glow] Almost immediately Copy 116 swung around to face Tifa... he grined evily... 116: [glow=red,2,300] "you of all those here should know the answer to that..."[/glow] he slowly worked his way around Cloud's barrier until he was facing Tifa directly... [glow=red,2,300] "after all...you 'helped' us once already...now its time for your friends to...'assist' us..."[/glow] He then turned back to reinforceing Cloud's barrier... |

A glowing violet comet caught Alpha's attention, and he zoomed in his sight to scan it.
"Duorzum?!"
One of their strongest allies was coming their way! Why was he so far away though? The machine was dead set on helping the new arrival out, so he lifted the heavy plate covering the Power Core, and used it to drink the mako.
Wait, it was drinking the mako barrier?! Somebody had to put a stop to that!

Cloud finished the barrier and he was about to storm out, but as soon as he regain his composure, the copies of what seemed to be Genesis, appeared to reinforce the barrier. Another barrier popped up, and another one, and another one. Cloud shook his head, in disappointment and in anger. He hated these mako barriers. Cloud was going to have to try something truly explosive to take the barriers and blow the copies back.
Cloud stood there, staring into the eyes of the copies, thinking about what to do. Cloud thought of the most powerful move he could use. "Omnislash V5" popped into his head, but there wasn't enough space. In fact "Finishing Touch", "Meteorain", and "Climhazzard" required space. And so Cloud was left with "Blade Beam" and "Cross Slash". With this, Cloud powered up once again. He then commences with the best "Blade Beam" he had and quickly got himself at the ready to perform "Cross-Slash"

Tifa slammed her fists against the barrier, attempting to break it down on her own as much as she could. How dare he mention her (so-called) assistance in all this. With all her heart she wanted to forget it. If only she hadn't been there that night in Nibelheim. If only she had stayed back in Edge, or gone with Barret, Vincent... or, with Cloud... of all nights, she had to be Nibelheim.
Nothing good ever came out of there recently...
She stopped punching the mako-barrier until her fists had hurt. Even with the gloves on, she could feel her knuckles turn sore-red. She clentched them in anger; this feeling of helplessness drained her. She then noticed Alpha doing something strange with his power core.
[glow=blue,2,300]"Cosmic? Nytemyre? What's he doing?"[/glow] she asked in a worried tone. This wasn't the time nor the place to do something stupid...

Nytemyre just shrugged slightly. Cosmic answered, "He's absorbing the mako itself. Alpha is powered by the Lifestream itself and last I had checked, mako is the blood of the planet. It's like he's taking it back and using it to stop those who use mako for evil."
Alpha continued to sap mako from the barrier itself at an alarming rate, not stopping for anything. There were no signs of him stopping because he could no longer "drink" mako. In fact, quite the opposite.
A set of wings alerted his attention to the sky, or at least the open space above. Duorzum, in human disguise, was above them, with his wings exposed beneath the disguise's cloak. They were wide open and held him aloft, above the mini-war going on below.
How did he get away?

Azul crouched within the shadows had noticed a violet comet streaking towards the group below. Isit an ally or an enemy? But at the speed he is coming...surely Genesis will notice and hail him. Then Azul saw that one of the demons had notice the comet too. He saw the glint of light in his eyes. The feeling of hope. The knowledge that he was going to be rescued. Azul grin. Let me snuff out that light. By that time the comet had stopped and he saw that its actually a person with wings hovering above the group. This is the chance. Azul hefted his cannon, adjusted it to his full power and blasted the demon(Duorzum)!

He had to hit this, if he couldn't then he wouldn't be of much help afterwards. Everything was riding on this last attack to the barrier. Cloud was not going to give up and he wasn't going to back down and let this fight go to the copies or the big blue man. Cloud then powered up once more and gave them a really good Cross-Slash. Cloud, during this attack, thought about everything that had happened so far. From joining Barret and Tifa all the up 'til now, Cloud had survived every battle. It was time for him to survive another one. This had to work, it just had to. Cloud, after finishing Cross Slash, waited for barrier to break... OOC:((Sorry, not enough muse on me....)) |

Tifa helplessly watched as Alpha attempted to drain the mako in the barrier. Cloud attempted break his confinement using his limit break, Cross Slash. Tifa, unarmed in herself with naught but a pair of gloves and her martial arts skills felt as though she couldn't give up. Not yet... not here...
She continued to attack her barrier, using an array of her materia spells. A pair of wings caught her attention once more, but this time noticed it wasn't an adversary. The figure soaring seemed somewhat familar... just vaugely, but then the name had just popped right from the back of her head. How could she have forgotten!
[glow=blue,2,300]"Duorzum..." [/glow]she murmured, as if it were a prayer for him to save them all.

Duorzum suddenly dipped, narrowly avoiding Azul's barrage of firepower. While he's doing that, Alpha continued to drink from the mako barrier, getting more intense by the second. It was clear he would not be confined without a fight.
The demon amplified his voice using his armor's natural ability, to, well, amplify things, attempting to get all eyes on him, "Release the captives, and let them leave freely without penalty! That includes me as well. Drop all arms!"

There was a sudden burst of light from the inner barrier holding Cloud...then a deafing roar as the smaller of the three barriers fizzled out...Copy 119 was thrown back violently by the blast, as he had been the one re-inforcing that barrier... the flew backwards until he crashed into Azul some good distance away, throwing off the shot that soard right past Duorzum, missing him by mere inches... Copies 116,117,118, & 120: [glow=red,2,300]"119!!!!"[/glow]Almost imediately Copy 120 took charge... 120: [glow=red,2,300] "fine...we'll recover him later..."[/glow] he turned violently towards Cloud and made a slashing gesture with one hand...immediately, the two remaining barriers began to rapidly shrink, until the were smothering Cloud, cutting off his air supply... 120: [glow=red,2,300]"YOU...WILL...PAY!!!!"[/glow]as Copy 120 continued to strangle Cloud with the remaining barriers, the other copies turned there full attention back to Alpha...the machine's Barriers were getting weaker as the thing continued to consume them as energy... 116: [glow=red,2,300] "don't destroy the machine...we need it intact...but...i wonder...how much mako can it handle?"[/glow] Suddenly the barriers around Alpha intensified enourmusly, until the light from them was blinding... admist the ensuing chaos...Duorzum's mouth moved, but the sound was lost in all of the noise... ...farther away...Copy 119 slowly began to wake up from being knocked unconsious... he slowly turned to his side, and began to violently cough up bright red blood...the impact from the collapsing barrier had ripped his lungs to shreads...he could feel the life draining away from him... suddenly a dark red glow appeard around his body as a mysteriously dark figure landed behind him... Copy 119 smiled weakly... 119: [glow=red,2,300] "your......f-fin...final...y...here..."[/glow] he gasped as he expelled his last breath... he gave a final twitch and then lay still... the figure slowly, reverently, went to one knee and lifted the fallen Copy into his arms... ? ? ? ? ? ? ?: [glow=red,2,300]"The battle of the beasts will bring about this world's end...your pain, this feeling, becomes your release...and your sacrifice...the end of the world..."[/glow]the figure sprouted a MASSIVE black wing and took to the air, headed for the Deepground Central Tower's roof... |

As the barrier containing Alpha intensified, the barrier containing Tifa weakened. She could tell by the dim light the barrier emmitted from the walls. Tifa stepped and once more conjured a stronger fire spell, confident she was going to escape this time.
As the blaze grew bigger from within the barrier, the heat intenisfied. Bead-sized drops rolled down ths side of her face, focusing with all her might not to cook herself alive whilst being trapped in this mako-cage The barrier containing her suddenly split, and deactivated. Tifa fell to her knees, trying to catch her breath and wiped away the sweat off her brow. The sides of right arm was badly burned and her attire was semi-charred.
Cloud had managed to escape his confinement as well, only to have been caught once more by one of the Genesis copies. Copy 120 attempted to smother the chocobo-haired man. Tifa was tempted to conjure another spell at her adversary, but she felt weak and drained from all magic previously casted. Without any hesitation, Tifa got up her feet and dashed towards the Genesis-copy (120) and tackled him.

Both light and dark demons had escaped, hiding within the confines of darkness. Duorzum sharply shrilled a whistle at such a high frequency, only Alpha could hear it. The mechanical demon then nodded in understanding, and proceeded to do what had been suggested before. Activate the Cerberus Kiryu program. "Cerberus Kiryu, engage!" The program was kicked into activation, like booting a computer. The protective plate came down over the Power Core, effectively ceasing the draining of mako. Gears grew and shifted, wires extended and were rearranged. He was transforming. A giant claw... An enormous tail... Metal wings with synthetic membrane skin.... The mako barrier, even though it had been intensified, was drained away with a sudden metallic screech. What stood there was an enormous three headed metal dragon, mako dripping freely from its mouths like molten rock, or drool. The glow from the dripping mako reflected in the triple pairs of eyes, nostrils, and mouths, giving the faces and eerie blue-green glow. The plates of thick metal that was its body were gently shimmering with the mako that it had absorbed. Meet Kiryu Alpha. Both light and dark demons had smirks on their faces, and they said simultaneously, "Kiryu Alpha." (( Cerberus is a three headed dog. Kiryu means "metal dragon" in japanese. Put the two and two together. Plus I like the name Kiryu.  )) |

Azul saw the demon doging all of his shots and dived towards the group below. "Drop all arms!" he heard above the noise below. Surrender? No way. The distance from the demon to Azul is too far away to try for a shot. He might accidentally hit his team mates for all he knows. This is strange. Why doesnt Genesis seems to be aware of the demon? He should have known. From the moment that demon fly Genesis must have known that. Moreover, the demon only dodge through my attacks and never even gave me a glance. Damn. Must be Genesis, a plan within a plan within a plan. Always making things complicated. Luckily, only the demon know of Azul's prescence. He decided to stay in the shadows for a while longer. To make sure of the situation before taking any more actions. With that, Azul climbed down closer to the fight while staying hidden, grumbling all the way down.

While Azul was focused on his thoughts and cautiously approaching the ongoing battle from the shadows, a voice spoke out from beside him. “So, he has arrived.” Belzee’s mako eyes glimmered brightly before he lowered his eyelids and spoke once again. “I guess I got here in time.” He looked to Azul and threw an elixir towards him. “Thought I might get you something,” Belzee said in a manner that made it difficult to tell if he was serious about what was about to happen, or if it were the opposite.
