Before he knew it, Cloud was hitting a mako barrier. Cloud was about to let up on his attack but got another idea. If he can't find an opening, he would just simply make one for himself. He succeeded in doing so, and stopped his onslaught. Genesis spoke some words, then casted a Fire spell. Cloud was caught by surprise, and with quick thinking, he siderolled to avoid the Fire attack and what seemed to be a follow-up attack as he felt a breeze sweep past him. It was most likely Genesis's blade. Cloud sure wished that he had some materia on him. His eye caught Genesis going in with attacks on his own. Cloud decided to meet him halfway. Cloud met Genesis blow for blow, resulting in sparks from the swords colliding. Cloud was instead going to outlast Genesis, so he could have the final strike. As thier blades clashed Genesis concentrated on CLoud's movements and rythem... i see...he thought to himslef as the battle raged on,
he fights just like that annoying pest Zack...but he is nowhere near as strong...this will be over quickly...As their blades were about to clash once again Genesis suddenly ducked down, missing Cloud's blade by inches, and cam up inside Cloud's guard... i have you now...Without wasting an instant, Genesis launched a MASSIVE fire spell at point blanck range on Cloud's face... [glow=red,2,300]"enough"[/glow]as soon as the explosion started Genesis cast Wall around himself, protecting himself from the backwash of power before leaping out of the way and slicing wickedly at Cloud's exposed sword arm as he flew overhead... As Genesis landed a few feet away behind Cloud, he slowly turned to face his enimy, holding his now blood stained sword at the ready... |

Cloud and Genesis butted heads. But when Cloud went for an open slash, which would clinch the win for him, Genesis ducks. Cloud is again shocked by the speed of this man. Then Genesis casts another Fire spell, and even though Cloud dodged it as Genesis was not the only one with Mako in his blood. Cloud suffers damage from the fire attack. The explosion then doesn't help Cloud as he couldn't see Genesis. But the arm that held the switchblade would suffer a most horrible fate. Cloud kneels at the pain, pain that he didn't even see coming and as the smoke cleared, Cloud looked behind to see Genesis with his sword drenched with blood. Cloud lookes to his left arm and it had suffered lots of damage. Cloud looks to it and then to Genesis. Cloud stood up with little to some problem. He tore the sleeve that covered his right arm and wrapped it around the injured arm.
Cloud then decided it was time to bring to full throttle. He attached the last attachment to The First Tsurugi. He then did his signature sword spin and he held the sword behind his back, the blade glowed the color of Mako. The score was 1 to 0. Cloud had to even it up and he had a plan to do so. He then commenced with Blade Beam. This move would send shockwaves via the ground. This would probably make Genesis jump to the air. As soon as Cloud did this move, he jumped to the air and his glow went from the Mako color to a Gold color. When Genesis would jump into the air, Cloud would have something else for him... Cloud's First Tsurugi glowed gold as well and it began to spilt up into its respective parts. Cloud was going to finish this fight here and now....

As the Blade Beam came rocketing right at him, Genesis stood his ground... pathetic attack... he thought to himself, at the last second he rolled to the side, letting the Blade Beam rocket past him to explode on the wall of the Barrier encasing him and Cloud...There was a scream as one of the Copy's was throne back violently, and off the egde of the platform they were on by the blast's energy...however, the barrier held... Meanwhile, Genesis reoriented on Cloud and saw him Glowing Gold with power... ahhh...He thought to himself, this is what they warned me of...this technique...the one that defeated Sephiroth...I've been looking forward to this...With a wicked grin Genesis raised his blade up and ran his hand along it while soflty but rapidly chanting... as he passed his hand along it, the blade became engulfed in bright blood red flames... as Cloud rocket into the air, his weapon seemed to split into many... [glow=red,2,300]"hmph"[/glow]Genesis sprinted with demonic speed until he was under Cloud, then launched into the air...and with a massive 360 degree slash, knocked all the weapons away... As he continued up into the air above Cloud, Genesis turned and spread his gigantic black wing to stop his accent... he hovered for only a moment, relishing in the shocked look on Cloud's face, before plummetting directly at him full speed, blade first... [glow=red,2,300]"your MINE!!!"[/glow] |

Omnislash V5 was very different and by Genesis knocking the weapons away did not mean that Cloud still can't use his speed to get to them. The way that Cloud's new move worked was all based around him using his super speed, which was now on such a higher level because of the boost of power he got, was to zoom over to his weapons and use them.
Cloud gave a sly smirk and zoomed over to the first attachment: The Hollow Blade. Using some his own demonic speed, he dogded Genesis and rushed over to The Hollow Blade and came back to Genesis and gave a slash with the hollow blade and the base for The First Tsurugi while running through to get the second attachment, which was one of the Serrated Blades. Another plus to this was that as Cloud did this move, he would get faster and faster as if he looked like he was after-imaged from blade to blade.

Genesis's eyes narrowed as the pain hit...he could sense the compression of the air around him shifting with Cloud's movements...he felt him reach the next piece of his weapon... and took action...using all the speed he could muster Genesis angled his blade in a defensive position as he finished plummeting to the ground and landed... Genesis's side burned as he hit the ground... i must be quick....if i am to block him...Genesis closed his eyes and concentrated on the compression of air infront of Cloud... he would not be fooled by the illusions that were left behind... the first strike must hit...Genesis's blade errupted in a cataclysm of blood-fire, englufing the entire area within the mako shield... the instant the compression of air seased, Genesis launched himself, puming his mighty wing, moving so fast that he seemed to simply appear next to Cloud with no transition, and knocked the weapon out of Cloud's hand...slashing that hand in the process... However Genesis was moving too fast to stop intime and collided with the mako shield... |

The score was 1 to 1 now. Cloud could feel the battle slowly shifting into his favor. His hit connected with Genesis, and now he was going to continue the assault. But something was weird occurred. As Cloud went for the first Serrated Blade, Genesis was right next to him, ready to thwart the attack. How could Genesis had known what he was going to do next? The only person to have ever seen this attack was Sephiroth, so how could he have known what to do? Cloud had to think quick and so he did.
When Cloud was reaching for the blade, Genesis' own appeared to knock the Serrated Blade out of the way then to slice up Cloud's hand. Cloud was not going to let that happen. Cloud, with the Hollow Blade in hand and The First Tsurugi in the other, flipped over Genesis' blade while attaching the Hollow Blade with The First Tsurugi. He then reached for the Serrated Blade, and skidded to a stop. He then jumped backwards then rushed in for a two hit strike, using the first Serrated Blade and The First Tsurugi with the Hollow Blade attached.

At least i made a back-up plan...he thought to himself, the instant he emerged outside of the barrier he yelled in a commanding tone: [glow=red,2,300]"INTENSIFY THE BARRIER AND COMPRESS IT!!!!"[/glow]The copies all jumped to the task well, Cloud...i see why Sephiroth had trouble with you...but no matter...you will be dead in but a moment...The barrier suddenly became blindingly bright, shining like a mako star, it slowly began to compress, getting smaller and smaller...with Cloud trapped inside... |

Tifa watched helplessly as the duel between Cloud and Genesis intensified. The mako barrier that encased their fight shone unlike anything she had ever seen before, making the battle hard to witness. It was simililar to the mako barrier that had encased them earliar... but no. This was stronger, powerful... and far more larger than the previous one. She thought about casting another offensive spell to break the barrier... but then she clutched onto her badly burned right arm due to the last mako barrier she attempted to escape from. If it was tough then, it would be impossible now...
She looked onto the rest of her remaining allies: Alpha, Nytemyre, Cosmo, and Duorzum. [glow=blue,2,300]"We have to do something!"[/glow]
Before she knew it, Genesis got out of the barrier and caused the barrier the shrink quickly with Cloud still trapped within. No, this can't be happening! Tifa thought wildly. The glow intensified and Cloud's image almost became faint.
Realizing she still had one of the copy's sword in hand, she ran towards the Genesis who came out of the barrier, attempting to strike him from behind.

[glow=red,2,300]"Stupid whore..."[/glow]Genesis spat as he retreaved the sword, then went back to the barrier and began to enhance it further... |

As she ran towards Genesis with the sword in hand, she was suddenly knocked off her feet with inhuman strength. The force sent her flying towards the concrete wall that made up of most of the DeepGround base. She groaned in pain as she slammed against the wall, landing on the rough flooring with the rubble and debirs. Though she was hit in the head, the rest of her body ached.
The sword she used also struck the ground, just a few feet from where she lay. A small materia then fell out of its slot and rolled onto Tifa's side. She clutched it absentmindedly - it was cold to the touch, smooth, and somewhat the only means she had to distract her from the pain.
Through gritted teeth, Tifa cried out in agony. The pain was unbareable but it was nothing compared to the anger and hatred that continued to swell up inside her for that one man.
A lovely shade of crimson trickled down the side of her head, dripping down her chin. Breathing was suddenly painful. Like a dagger just teasing to pierce the insides of her chest from within. She couldn't really move her left arm either, but easily tell it was either shattered or dislocated.
A vauge flashback appeared in her mind's eye of the time she attempted to strike Sephiroth in Nibelheim seven years ago... when he burned down Nibelheim. The outcome, once again, remains unchanged.
[glow=blue,2,300]"C..cloud..."[/glow] she murmured weakly through salty tears as she outstretched her right hand towards the barrier as it continued to compress itself. Watching helplessly once again.

Kiryu Alpha was already doing something. He was drinking the barrier! The mecha-demon still had that ability! All three heads combined their drinking power, and literally fed on the barrier. They were fast eaters.
Nytemyre was having his own issues. He was right in the middle of a transformation. Much like Alpha had a dragon form, Nytemyre did as well.
His skin mottled up, and turned a sickly purple. His wings grew longer, and broader, allowing for something heavy to fly. A spiny tail also grew. He had spines everywhere, including on his head, the spines making it look like a lion's mane. The form itself was slim, as if made for the air.
Enormous red eyes with beady black pupils chaotically rolled around in it's skull, the snout opening up to reveal sets of mangled teeth. The limbs were as slim as it's body, but don't let looks fool. The new psychotic-looking beast attacked Genesis, screaming some sort of multi-voiced cry. The cry itself sounded like wind howling through wide caves.
It made Cosmic, literally, attempt to curl up and hide.

When Cloud went in for the third attack, he finds Genesis outside. Could Cloud have scared away Genesis away? When Cloud was about to make an attempt to get out of the barrier himself, he stops in his tracks. The barrier seemed different this time around. Cloud looked around and above him, and found the barrier growing smaller. Cloud snaps his attention toward Genesis and shows anger. Genesis was trying to get rid of him, but what made Cloud angry was that he couldn't do on his own. A few minutes later, Cloud felt the air getting thin.
He saw Tifa running toward Genesis, she was trying to help. But Genesis, in cowardice, hit Tifa. Cloud's eyes widened at the sight he had just seen. Blood ran down Tifa's face, and she reached for Cloud. Tears ran down her face, Cloud would never want to see tears run down Tifa's face ever again after today. Cloud was infuriated, he felt so defenseless. But he looked at himself, he still was in Limit. Cloud used his speed to gather and attach the remaining swords.
With the First Tsurugi at full strength, Cloud gripped his sword tightly with both hands. He spotted one of Tifa's friends attacking Genesis, this was an opening for Cloud, this was something that Cloud could not pass up. Cloud's blade glowed gold once again. With a powerful yell and with all of his might, he slammed his blade against the barrier. Hopefully the barrier would shatter, he was running out of time....

As Nytemyre Attacked him, Genesis Raised one hand and something strange happened...New, almost transparent, fields went up around Kiryu Alpha, Nytemyre, and Cosmic...traping them inside ...instantly the fields filled with gas and rendered the suprized creatures unconsious...only Duorzum was left besides the Copies... Genesis turned back to the Barrier and noticed that Cloud was about to attack it at full strength... Genesis: [glow=red,2,300]"CONCENTRATE! He's about to attack!"[/glow]Immediately the barrier became twice as strong as it stopped contracting...
That should hold... |

Tifa continued to lie there in a shallow pool of her own blood. She shortened her breathing so that the two broken ribs wouldn't pierce her lung. She propped onto her burnt right arm (the one that wasn't broken) and attempted to crawl to a safer location with less debris and rubble but to a point where she could see Cloud clearly. She carried the materia that fell out of Genesis' sword... she was uncertain about it's use and was quite skeptical with how it would aid their current situation. Nonetheless, she could probably give it to Duorzum to use, seeing that he was the only remaining comrade who was free and unharmed...

Belzee watched along Azul as a significant fight proceeded between Genesis and company. The man with blond hair that was currently fighting with Genesis appeared to be of interest to Belzee. When he looked at the two figures closely, they resembled one another quite strongly. However, not by physical makeup, but based on their power and the mako flowing through both of their eyes.
The other allies of the blond man such as the girl, had fallen. The combined creature was engulfed in a trap made by Genesis. Belzee looked on with emotionless eyes as he suddenly spoke towards Azul. “So, it seems we are not necessary in the fight after all.” Belzee turned to take his leave, base on decision of what was going on, but then his eyes had a glimpse of the materia that the girl was holding. He stopped for a moment and looked on with suspiciousness.
He motioned towards the girl who had left her original spot and decided to move to a new location. He stood a few inches in front of the girl, easily catching her attention. After, he kneeled on one leg and reached out his hand. His mako eyes looked directly through her defiant expression and into her eyes. His gesture alone displayed what he wanted to say, ‘give me the materia.’
