Nanaki was lulled into a brief and pleasant trance Barret rubbed behind his ear. A soft purr rumbled from the proud creature's throat. As the purring faded, he shifted his good eye to look up at the old AVALANCHE leader.

"There is more to being strong than flashy accessories or abilities. What I see in you is above those meaningless things.This is a new beginning for everybody here, let it be a chance for you to find yourself again."

Barret gave Nanaki a pat on the head and a smile. He turned around looking back at the others. He waved for them to hurry it up.

"You make a very interestin point there old buddy. Maybe your right, perhaps I should take this opportunity as a second chance and see what I'm truly made of."

He turned his attention back to the others

"Yo you guys coming or what? We gots work to do and some old friends to pick up."

He looked back to Nanaki

"So who out of the old gang do you think we should go pick up first?"
