[Elstan Shadow]

Elstan snuck into Shin-Ra at about three in the afternoon. She went through the files. She tried to keep her wing in her shoudler. Her thoughts wondered to Yazoo from time to time. She needed him but right now she had to look for her. For JENOVA. She stole some files on Sephiroth, Angeal and Genesis. She heard alarms cry out so she spread her wing and drew her pistols and fled for the nearest window.

Shin-Ra. Yazoo had to fight the urge to curl his lip in disgust, seeing the place. They were the ones hiding Mother, keeping her just out of reach, like dangling a treat before a chained dog. His gaze flitted upward, seeing that there ws almost no activity. "Humph. You'd think they would be attempting to rebuild." The silved haired man mused, folding his arms.

Crash! Yazoo nearly jumped in surprise as one of the uppermost windows shattered, and a winged form shot out. Sepheroth? Was his initial thought, but as his keen eyes focused on it, his heart skipped a beat. He quickly jumped onto the upermost branch of a nearby tree to gain height.

Upon closer examination, he realized she had files under one arm, quickly fleeing the scene. Curiosity prickled at the back of his mind.

One of the SOLDIERS took a shot at her and she was hit. She flew into a nearby ally and clutched her right side. Blood poured from her wound and she gasped in pain keeping the files clutched to her chest. She couldn't find her materia that would heal her. She thought of Yazoo. One thing that she forgot to tell him is that if she calls for him the blood in the vail will call him to her. She just hoped he would find her.

Yazoo's face turned to a mask of horror when he saw Elstan fall out of the sky like a felled bird, brought down by a SOLDIER's bullet. He leapt nimbly from his perch, taking off at a run to where she had fallen. There was only one SOLDIER chasing after her, but he seemed to be quite the shot. But Yazoo was better. He drew Velvet Nightmare from its holster and shot, making his opponent jump in surprise as the bullet lodged itself firmly in his upper arm. "Shin-Ra scum." He snarled, dropping in front of the SOLDIER and firing for the kill.

He didn't have time to see if he had killed his opponent, however, for Elstan was a more urgent matter. Yazoo vanished into the shadows, coming to stand in the middle of an alleyway. The sight of all the blood startled him for a moment, but he didn't have time for that. Producing a Cure Materia from his pocket, he gently pressed it into Elstan's hand, nodding to her.

Elstan breathing was laboured. When she felt Yazoo's hand in hers she knew her guardian angel had come to her rescue. She felt a cure materia in her hand and healed her side. "Y-Yazoo? What are you doing here it's dangerous." she gasped. She looked him straight in the eyes as she said this.

Yazoo chuckled softly. "Since when has danger ever stopped me?" He pointed out, stowing Velvet Nightmare back in its holster. His gaze flitted to the files clutched to her chest as a single silver eyebrow shot up. "So what are those for?"

Elstan sighed and struggled to her feet. She sighed. "Information about about some old allies. Genesis Raphsodos, Angeal Hewlwy and Sephiroth. They all have have something in common with us. Wings." she said. She held him and breathed in his scent.

OOC: Yazoo doesn't have wings just yet. Gots to wait for Sephy. ^.^

Intrest sparkled in Yazoo's gaze at the mention of the familiar names. "Shin-Ra still has... or had, rather... files on them? I would expect Sepheroth to have destroyed them all." He mused, smiling when Elstan's arms were around him again. "But...nevertheless, we have to get you somewhere safer before we can investigate."

Elstan grabbed his hand and put her hood up. She walked to a run-down building. It had a fingerprint scanner on the wall by the door. She placed her thumb on the scanner and the door clicked open and she led Yazoo inside. "We should be safe here. This place is an Assassin's hide out." she said. Elstan clicked on the lights and sat down at a computer and placed the files on the desk. She smiled at Yazoo. "I'm glad you're here." she smiled.

Yazoo's gaze flicked around his surroundings warily, not sure how warm a welcome he'd recieve from a guild of Assassins. One of his hands nonchalantly drifted over Velvet Nightmare, as his fingers drummed on the handle. "I'm glad I found you again." He said softly, taking a seat next to her.

A smile crossed her lips. Elstan put her hand to his face and slowly but surely kissed him passionately. She missed him so much. Elstan pulled back as she was getting out of breath. ''I'm glad you came back to me." she said. Her heart was beating wildly.

Yazoo kissed her back, unable to hide a smile. "Likewise. But I think we should see those files now." With one last peck on the cheek, he turned back to the folder and slowly opened it. An array of papers spilled out, a couple stained with Elstan's blood. He examined one of them, a fascinated look across his face.

"Genesis Raphsodos. Ex SOLDIER 1st Class. He went missing during a mission in my home town of Wutai. Sephiroth found him at the old mako reactor. He was helping the man that created me, Professor Hollander. Genesis and Hollander were working on an experiment that could copy an individuals body and skills. They were deadly. Nevertheless Sephiroth put and end to it before he found out JENOVA was his mother." she explained.

"You seem to already know plenty about these three." Yazoo commented, reading over the paper about Genesis. "But it seems as if Genesis wasn't such a great experiment after all. Says here that he degraded because his cells weren't strong enough to keep him... alive. He begged Sepheroth for his S cells, yet he never gave them away."

He frowned in concentration. "It says that Angeal went through something similar to Genesis, yet he was killed before he degraded."

Elstan nodded. She turned on the computer and hacked into Shinra's science database. It took her mere seconds to hack into it. She opened a file that contained Project E. 'Project E has been a success. Finally a woman has been able to cope with these cells. Most of the credit goes to General Sephiroth for donating some of his S cells to the project. All we have to do now is wait until Elstan is old enough to show us what she has to offer.' the file read. "I fled before that."
