- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - How long had it been...?
At a leisurely pace, the sun began to descend in the distance, night would soon be upon all and cover the skies with its midnight blanket embroidered with stars of silver. A figure, though not alone, walked through Midgar's streets carrying a few bags which resembled that of shopping or takeaway ones, to the figures right a small blue creature carrying a tiny bag in its mouth scurried along to match its master's pace. Coat tightly secured around the slender yet curvaceous figure, the wind began to breathe softly against pale cheeks - the face of the person lightly decorated with makeup consisting of a black colour liner, light silver dust beneath that and lastly a slick of light pink coated her lips... Yes, her. For all the time she had been away, it felt like years... Within a few mere five months, it seemed a lot had changed already for the 2nd Class SOLDIER, Kyrie Fallen.
Though some would comment that the now-a-year-older woman, who had turned eighteen on her third month of being away, seemed a lot different in appearance at this present time. Brunette single silver streaked hair which use to fall below the waist now hung below her collar bone and her attire spoke that of someone who had grown up mentally, one that had always physically been mature but now showed it through clothing.
As she walked through the barely occupied streets with her Carbuncle, Elara by her side, she couldn't help but look back, wondering how everyone had been without her... Though within those thoughts a particular blonde had flashed in her mind. The SOLDIER sighed, looking down slightly as she kept a steady pace as she walked. how had it all come to this? It was all over now, sure, but it seemed to have such an impact on everyone. Looking down, her signature winged earring caught the light and twinkled whilst her hair felt in her face, one part in particular hiding her left eye which had now been bandaged though her hair kept it hidden from prying eyes. A sigh escaped her, she had been lucky on that day when they were ambushed whilst doing a routine mission, the bomb exploding just a ways from her thus throwing her to one side... Any closer as she would've lost a few parts.
Though that was something she didn't want to think of right now. During her times away, she had made sure to keep her promise to write to that certain blonde... And although he never wrote back, she was sure he had received them. One said...
Dear Rufus,
I suppose this counts as letter number one! It was near impossible to find anything to write on or with, though luckily the Inn we're staying at has a few utensils I could use. It's quite creepy really, I'm sharing a room with a few others and I'm not sure if they're paranoid or not, but they keep complaining about a painting on the wall opposite our beds... It's of a girl... though at night some of the others wake up screaming because guess what!? The girl in the painting is gone! Not the painting itself, but the girl! I found it a little spooky myself at first, that is until the next morning I found it was just the Inn Keeper changing the painting around... I think he was hiding something, I don't know, I guess it's not important... But I heard people are saying it's one of the Seven Wonders, whatever that is. Anyway, I don't have much time as we're scheduled for training soon.
Take care,
Kyrie.
It made her smile, really, during her time in Nibelheim, despite it not being a field trip... She, along with others, found themselves curious and began to investigate the Seven Wonders during their free time - it turned into quite an adventure. But the more time she spent away, the more she began to worry... Was he alright? Was he eating alright or were they spoon feeding him that awful slop she found in his fridge that time?
Dear Rufus,
Goodness, training has been rough today though luckily we're all sat around the fire eating dinner. Hah, it's funny... I seem to be the only one here that knows how to cook, it's a good thing us SOLDIER have a cafeteria otherwise these guys would be screwed! I made something I think you'll remember, though it's no fun eating them if I haven't got a nice clean white suit to smear them on. Ohh, memories! Anyway, I sent you some with the letter... I hope you're eating properly... I do worry about you, you know?
Kyrie.
She smiled at the memory, having sent him a container full of the tasty meaty goodness in hopes he would eat if she asked him to. Every day she wrote to him, even if certain letters were just...
Dear Rufus,
I miss you.
Kyrie.
During her time away, she had probably ended up sending him at least one hundred and twenty-six letters with the except of the fourth and fifth month where the letters just stopped coming and what's worse is that her time away lasted longer than what it was meant to - half a month more! The fact that she couldn't write made her sick with nerves, what if he thought something bad had happened to her? What could she do? There was nothing at all that she could do... She only prayed he would be alright, the last two months had really been hard on her - changed her even. She thought all this whilst going through the secret tunnel that she had been shown, eventually reaching the ladder... At this time, Shinra was on high alert so there was no way she wanted to waltz right through the door and up to Rufus's office, no... She didn't want to cause a fuss plus she wanted to surprise him.
With Elara hoping onto her shoulder, she soon climbed up the ladder before having to move whatever was in her way from above before finally finding herself in the place where she had once been five months ago. Silently, she placed the rug and table back to where it belonged before placing the bags on the table, one of which containing a Wutainese takeaway (the equivalent to Chinese food). Elara chittered softly as it made its way onto the couch to curl up, its little package still in its mouth... Kyrie, on the other hand, looked concerned. Where was he? She didn't see him in the living room or at his desk, she quickly checked the bathroom - nothing. The kitchen - nothing. His bedroom - nope! Was he in a meeting...?
Hoping that was the case, she soon slipped off her coat and hung it up - the months being good to her body as her clothes brought out every single curve unlike before. The place looked a tad untidy so she got to work immediately, picking things up and putting them away before getting onto wiping down the sides and such.
She hoped he would show up soon.

The last six months had been rough, some of the roughest the blond man could remember. Everything... everything had come undone right out from under him.
The Vice President of Shinra incorporation ran a hand through his hair as he walked slowly back from Tseng's office, a stack of letters in his hand and a look of sadness on his face. He had spent the better portion of the half-year in Junon under true house arrest, although it had been called otherwise to prevent suspicion... after the incident not but a week after Kyrie and Reno were sent away, his father had deemed it necessary for his "safety". The young blond knew what that truly meant though- he wanted Rufus as far away from HQ as possible for other reasons.
His hair was a bit longer and shaggier than before and he acquired a new scar on his chin, though it seemed to have faded fairly well. Most people only noticed it if his face hit the light just right. He still wore his traditional white suit, something that he refused to change, but under the suit he hid newly formed muscle from training he had persued while away. He wanted to be stronger, for his comrades and for himself.
Rufus glanced down at the stack of letters in his hand, all addressed in the same beautiful handwriting to him, all from the same person. He just wished he had gotten to read them all before this. There were so many of them. Some had come with gifts, some of which were in a box he carried in his other arm, and some which had to be thrown away due to them being food that spoiled while he was away. Now, despite the fact that he had work to do and lots of it, he wanted nothing more than to sit down and read all of them one by one... unfortunately he wouldn't have time right away. There were plans to be carried out, a company to run for his father, and Dezzy was still in very poor condition mentally, emotionally and physically.
While he had finally gotten her released from the custody of the science lab, there wasn't much more he could do other than feed her, let her sleep and try to figure out what they had done to her, and the only place she was really safe was with him or Reno (at least those were the only places he personally trusted her to be.)
Dark Nation strolled by his side, purring at the fact that he got to be with is master after so many months apart. Rufus smiled down at the black beast and pat his head. "Thank you, my friend," he smiled and unlocked his door.
What he didn't expect to see there was a small carbuncle lounging on his couch and a very beautiful woman cleaning his quarters with a small smile on her fact. She didn't seem to notice him at first, so he took a moment to stare before setting the box on a table and dropping the letters. He wasted no time approaching her and hugging her from behind. "You're back!" he whispered, burying his face in her hair. His voice barely raised as he whispered one word as if it were the sweetest thing in the entire world: "Kyrie."
Dark Nation on the other hand was sniffing Elara curiously before giving her a friendly lick.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - So much to do...
Kyrie had thought to herself whilst fluffing up pillows, wiping down counters and tables along with tidying up whatever paper work she could fine. She noticed the place seemed a little bit better than what it was when she left that day... The place as she had previously seen it had been turned upside-down though now it seemed someone had made a half attempt at trying to fix everything, however, once she was done with it - it was back to its former glory. She smiled softly as her gaze wandered over to the painting on the wall and with that, she walked over to gently touch the face of the beautiful woman. "Hello again, Mrs. Shinra..." she began softly, her eyes shining with emotion before bringing her hand down until it finally slid off the painting "I hope you've been looking after him for me..."
At that moment, she could have sworn she saw something within the painting... Almost like a confirmation to her words, though she shook the thought from her head... Having a bit too much of spooky paintings and the like during her time away. Elara mewled softly, which compelled the silver streaked woman to go over to her friend where she stroked the Carbuncle with ease. "Now behave yourself, alright?" she smiled, bending over slightly as her shorter hair fell over her shoulders with ease unlike when it was longer "we're at a very special friend's home now, so be go--"
Before the woman had a chance to finish what she was about to say, she saw the alarmed look in Elara's topaz eyes along with a pair of arms being wrapped her tightly, Kyrie resisted the urge to gasp in pain - still recovering from her injuries as her ribs were quite sore. She knew not to flip the figure over her, her mind still in a battlefield-like state, and was soon eased by the voice that followed. She stood there for a while, wide eyed, even though she was expecting him... It felt weird to be with him once more after being away for so long. No tears followed, though her heart swelled with emotion as she carefully but slowly turned around to face him with his arms still wrapped around her... One, because she wanted to see him, and the second reason being her ribs feeling slightly pained in the position they were in.
Upon looking up at the man, it was almost as if two strangers had met for the first time though the more she looked at him, the more she began to recognise him despite the half year they had been apart. Elara, on the other hand, had stretched her body in a lower case N shape as Dark Nation approached her, though once the lick was received, she found herself playfully batting at his nose before pouncing on his head and sitting there as if she owned it, lounging around lazily. Kyrie saw this and smiled before turning her attention back to Rufus, her smile never leaving her.
With his arms around her, she could feel that he had gotten stronger and more physically fit just like she had, his hair was still the same if not longer and slightly unkempt and on closer inspection, she noticed the small scar he had - she, too, had received her fair share of 'badges', one being the obviously crescent moon shaped one that imprinted itself on her right cheekbone, slightly similar to that of Reno's except hers blended slightly in with her pale complexion. She inhaled deeply, taking in his familiar scent - the fancy cologne in which he wore and the fresh smell of his clothes. She said nothing for a while as she just stood there in his embrace, gazing into the eyes she once knew and loved, her own arms wrapped around him in return.
The curve on her lips spread as her pink lips parted before finally speaking, her voice still soft though held wisdom now. "I'm back..." she whispered, her sweet breath kissing his senses as she smiled adoringly, though as much as she wanted to be held by him forever, she had to force herself to pull away as she was still pained and recovering though her gaze never left him. She eyed him up and down, noting his choice in clothing hadn't changed, quite like hers with the exception of the tight black leather pants she wore... No longer did she look like the young inexperienced Kyrie, she was now a woman.
"You've changed," she commented with a smile before Elara soon galloped off Dark's head and crawled up her friend's body before resting upon her shoulder, Kyrie looked over at the glowing blue fox-like creature and chuckled softly before remembering "I don't think you've met Elara before, she usually stays at home though I figured what with her being alone for five months, she should be with me... Thank goodness Carbuncle's don't rely on food to survive, otherwise I'd be at a loss... She's very independent, are you sweetie?"
She cooed those last words as Carbuncle and Human's noses rubbed together affectionally, Elara purred before nudging her gemstone forehead into Kyrie's cheek playfully. The young woman's attention then turned back Rufus, although she seemed happy, she had been extremely worried about him... Though they'd been through enough as it is and for their sake, she showed nothing other than happiness to see him.
"How have you been?"

Rufus was more than happy to oblige her silence, taking his time inspecting her features. Time had been good to her and he found himself returning her grin. He too had worried about her wellfare- he hadn't had contact with anyone for the better part o the last five months and had only just returned a week ago. He reached up and touched her cheek gently as she finally spoke, giving her room to breathe. She seemed to be in some sort of pain, so he simply inspected the Carbuncle that Dark Nation seemed very intent on making friends with.
The big cat sat by Kyrie's leg, staring up at her impatiently as he waited for her to greet him as well. Eventually he stretched and wandered away into Rufus' bathroom.
Rufus shook his head at her question, sitting himself on the arm of the couch and folding his arms across his chest. "There's... a lot to talk about..." he said, looking up at the cieling and trying to figure out where to start. "I guess I should just show you my biggest issue right now... perhaps you can help... Reno's even at a loss..."
He led her to the bathroom where his beast sat with his head on the edge of the large bathtub. "I've been gone nearly as long as you have... I was sent away due to an incident I'll divulge on later but... I came back to Reno trying to take care of this..." he slowly pulled the shower curtain aside to reveal Dezzy, curled up in a ball with her wings wrapped tightly around her body. Only her legs and hair were visible. She seemed to shake, even though she was covered in large down blankets. He looked at Kyrie helplessly for a moment before putting the curtains back in place to shield the poor angel from the light. He then headed back out into the living room. "Professer Carthridge, the man she knows as her father, tried to get us out of here. There was... chaos... during the week after you departed. In the process we realized my father was up to something, as he tightened down security even more than usual. Eventually that led him to decide to get Dezzy and I out and somewhere safe, only he failed. Many experiments were loosed and killed, and when caught he was executed on grounds of letting free dangerous experiments, and tring to kidnap me... Dezzy... she was given to Hojo as a toy when she showed off some very powerful magic in her emotional rage..."
He sat down on a bar stool that sat near the island in his kitchen after fishing out some snacks from the cupboards. "I don't know the extent of what he did to her, honestly. I'm still trying to figure it out... Reno got back before me and has been taking care of her between missions, but it took me pulling some strings to get her fully out of the labs and in a place where we could watch her full time. Her wings seem to be her shield, but my major concern is her reaction to mako or anything mako-based... I was wearing my Materia on me the day I brought her in here and she got violently ill... she's been like THAT ever since then," he tried to explain as quickly as possible. "She won't let anyone else touch her wounds, and there are many of those. You should see her arms... You'd think they used her as a fucking pin cushion... and THAT's just the tip of the ice berg, Kyrie... I was sent away for "safety reasons" but I feel as if the main reason I was sent away was so I wouldn't interfere with THAT and a few other things my father decided to do around here..."

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Rufus spoke, Kyrie listened. From what it sounded, there was trouble on both ends... Though she had no idea just how bad things were here. Without much thought, she followed him to wherever it was he was leading her, Elara bounded after her as the little Carbuncle sensed something wrong... Kyrie looked down at the blue creature, knowing just how sensitive these beings were towards emotion and trauma, hence why Kyrie seemed so un-phased by everything most of the time. The next sight she laid her eyes on, however, sent a strike through her heart as nothing could've prepared her for what her eyes now focused upon. She looked on mournfully, wondering what cruel experiments had been performed on the young woman... Kyrie herself had known torture and unwelcome touching... But none like this.
As the curtain remained open, the SOLDIER knelt down as she reached out slightly though not to touch the poor traumatized girl. There's suffering... A post traumatic stress disorder perhaps...? Fatigue and malnutrition... Something awful has happened... though she's not telling us what... Kyrie turned her head to Elara, the creature speaking to her through telepathy as it could not speak physically, the young woman remained staring at the blue creature as the light surrounding its body dimmed down - there appeared to be a mutual understanding between the two just by looking at each other. As if knowing what to do, the creature gently padded over to where the angel lay broken and weak, it looked back at Kyrie as if asking Are you sure? The SOLDIER nodded and with that, the colour in the Carbuncle's gemstone went clear and with that, Kyrie winced before holding her head in her hand as if experiencing a multitude of memories.
Curling up beside Damani, Elara let off soft purring as she stayed there with her before the curtain was soon let go.
With a small sigh, one which expressed her concern for Damani, Kyrie stood and joined Rufus, once again listening to his words as her previous happiness was diminishing. "Things only seem to get worse around here," she sighed, her recently returned memories along with the sudden anger allowing her features to look a little drained. She turned to face him, deciding now after his speech to explain what had gone on in the bathroom. "By the way, it's best to leave Elara in there with her... Carbuncles are a rare species, one of their abilities being to ease others of their pains and memories using the stone on their forehead... Hence why hers turned grey a moment ago, they can only deal with one person's memories at a time... How do you think I'm always so calm? Ugh... now I'm feeling the full brunt of it," she groaned, rubbing her temples though years of acceptance of her past made it a bit more easier for her to handle "Elara will help her through her trauma by storing the bad parts she doesn't want to remember inside her gemstone, though Damani's physical pain will have to be dealt with by us... I don't mind bathing, feeding, and healing her from now on, so that's one less trouble for you."
How ironic. She had been back only five minutes and already she was agreeing to help those that needed her - the curse of a kind heart. Standing, she walked over to Rufus before wrapping her arms around him gently as she whispered to him. "If anything, your father is a fool... For him to send us away has only made us stronger, though yes, Damani's condition is sad... but with our newly found strengths we will be able to help her... we won't allow this to steer us away from our goal," she spoke near comfortingly to him before placing a kiss on the scar on his face, her lips then formed into a light smile "I missed you, by the way..."

Rufus looked down at her and kissed her lips softly, unable to resist the temptation any longer. Most other women would have been angry at him having a half-naked woman in his bathtub. Kyrie instead offered her support and help. "Oh thank god because I did NOT want to be the one to bathe her and I don't trust Reno to do it either," he laughed and nuzzled her nose. "While I know she could care less because modesty is lost on her... I still want nothing to do with that..."
It would be like seeing a sister naked, if he had one, and some things he just didn't want burned into his brain. "As for feeding her, that seems to be easy enough... I know she looks starved, but I literally watched her engulf a whole chicken, even the bones, a bag of grapes, a bunch of bananas and still had room for a pint of ice cream," he shook his head, shuddering at the memory of watching her eat all of that. "She gets moments of clarity, and then that's all she does is eat before whatever it is that's happening to her starts bothering her again... I just can't figure out what was done to her... I guess she wasn't like this when Reno got to her..."
He stretched and lead her out to the balcony. "I didn't get any of your letters until today. Tseng confiscated them and the gifts and put them away for me so I'd actually get them eventually... Thank you though, in advance," he grinned at her, looking up at the starry sky. It was very clear that night, unlike the last time they had stood on this very same balcony. "I was worried. I didn't know how you'd react to not hearing from me... I spent all my time hoping you weren't angry at me or thinking I didn't care about you..."

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Kyrie nearly stopped breathing as his lips pressed against hers, she didn't want to admit it... but she had missed that touch so very much, more than anything. She chuckled as he spoke again, rolling her eyes... Despite the many months and physical changes, nothing had really changed about him personality-wise. "Us girls need to stick together," she chuckled softly, crossing her arms over her chest as she smiled "I think Damani is going through a slight... change which could affect her hormonal levels so... I think it'd do her good to have an older woman around."
She rose a brow at the mention of Reno, smiling as she shook her head - Reno was bad, but not by that much, he was a pervert, yes, though he cared for the angel - it almost reminded her of the time she had gotten badly injured during a mission in her use and whilst at the infirmary, Reno had actually been the one to bandage her, although he hadn't seen her lady parts, she felt exposed enough to feel uncomfortable, but surprisingly... Reno had been gentle with her, respectful even. She knew he was a good guy at heart, though enjoyed being a bit of a pervert here and there with the exception of when those he cared about were in trouble.
As they both stood there on the balcony, her hair swaying gently in the breeze with her bandage over her eye occasionally showing, she thought back on the moment they had shared here all those months ago. She shook her head, smiling lightly. "No, not mad at all... I understood," she said softly, looking over at him reassuringly "...To be honest, I was too busy to think of getting letters written back to me, plus I didn't think much bad would happen whilst I was away..."
She then looked down, sighing as she gripped the railings on the balcony. "To be honest... I hoped that the extra half month wouldn't scare you... it made me sick just thinking about it," she spoke in a quiet but sad tone "... Things got... bad on the fourth and fifth month, we lost half our group to fiends, one even got a hold of me by the hair and was just about to give me the chomp though quick thinking saved me, hence the change in hairstyle," she let off a small chuckle at that part "luckily a woman at Nibleheim tidied it up for me, and to be honest, I've gotten use to it..." another sigh "...It's hard to believe that I almost lost my life out there... Someone had accidentally set off a landmine and I got too close trying to save them... hence this..."
She looked over at him, pulling back her hair to expose the bandage over her eye fully. "It doesn't sound like much nor serious, but it's not so bad... Just can't see out of it for a while, plus a few cracked ribs and broken bones don't mean much to me," she chuckled, looking up at the sky whilst a warm smile spread across her lips.
"At least... I have something to show for it," she spoke in a slight dream-like voice, her cheeks tinting a light pink.
"I met someone..."

Rufus inspected the bandage for a moment. "At least you're alive," while it did concern him, he was sincere about that. He'd rather her be alive and well and somewhat injured, than be dead any day. "Wounds can heal. You'll be fine. You're too stubborn to let something little like a few cracked bones and an eye get in your way."
He kissed her again, this time letting the kiss linger as he pulled her into his arms for another embrace, this time being careful of her injured body. "I missed you-" he blinked for a moment before looking down at her, her words finally registering. "Met someone? Who?"

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - She didn't know why, but his lack of empathy bothered her slightly. She knew she wasn't the only girl in the world with problems and right now she wasn't going through what Damani was... But she couldn't help but feel a little... brushed off? Was that it? She looked down slightly, a small drop in her heart as she sighed. Months which felt endless without seeing him, she understood his reasons, but he had letters to read, he knew she was alive and well, so what did he have to worry about? She, on the other hand, had nothing... No trinket to comfort her, no words to keep her going... Just death around every corner and back breaking training, wounds healed physically... but what of mental and emotional ones? For all his intelligence, she sometimes felt that just because he couldn't see the damage done that it didn't matter.
She decided the shrug it off just this once, though he really did need to focus on his woman handling skills. Albeit it was pointless to worry about the 'what ifs' but what if things were different? She almost lost her life out there...
At that moment, she decided playing with him would be the best way to annoy him. With a smile, she pulled away from him with her arms crossed over her chest, a dreamy look in her eyes. "Well, it was back in Nibelheim that I realised... It's funny because I've known him for quite a while..." she smiled, her tone dazed as she blushed lightly "... He's the most wonderful person you could ever hope to meet, though despite sometimes being difficult, I can't see myself with anyone else but him..."

Rufus hadn't meant to sound so callous. He had spent the last six months imagining the worst and to see her alright, at least physically... he could have cried tears of happiness... however he didn't. He refused to ever let anyone see him cry again. And he was so very tired from the lack of sleep he had suffered the last few night... Before he could apologize though she started talking about some guy, a wonderful guy.
He stared in silence, a bit of concern showing on her face. While he knew they had been apart for a long time, he felt broken that she had found someone else... but they had just been kissing! What the hell? His thoughts raced for a minute before he took a deep breath, trying to shut his overactive mind down a few notches. "Well thats... uh... great," his words seemed stumbled and unenthused. "But then why are you kissing ME? Isn't that like... not allowed? I'm sorry I didn't write you back Kyrie. I didn't even recieve your letters otherwise I would have!"
His thoughts kept switching in between apologizing and curiousity to understand the situation, and in his sleep-deprived state he ended up with a combination of both coming out.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Kyrie tilt her head to the side, noting his obvious irritation, a small smile formed on her lips as she chuckled softly, shaking her head. "I think it's been YOU kissing ME since I got back, VP," she grinned, clearly having a point there as the only kiss she gave him was on his chin in a comforting fashion - she hadn't actually responded to his kisses. She stretched her arms out slightly, letting off a satisfied sigh before looking over at the scene before them. The young woman gave a shrug as she kept a nonchalant demeanor. "I'm not too fussed, in all honesty," she smiled, though deeply she cared at the fact she had no way to know if he was alright... And knowing that he hadn't even seen her letters which held small poems, drawings, and one of which even spoke of her feelings for him. She gave an inward sigh, so all the foods she had made? The rare flowers she picked for him to possibly paint as well as all the gifts... Untouched? Spoiled?
Another shrug, she acted as if it didn't bother her. "It is quite nice to have someone now, even though he hasn't personally told me his feelings, I'm sure there's something there between us... Just the thought of him makes me smile, and knowing him for the time I have makes it all the more better," she grinned, peering over at him before continuing, she didn't know why... But she just wanted something out of him! To give him a reason to care! To be jealous! Anything! She couldn't bare not knowing if he cared or not!
"We've had a few moments here and there," she breathed, genuinely blushing as she twiddled her fingers, avoiding his gaze this time as if playing the part of the shy young woman though a moment of confidence allowed her to look up, her deep blue gems twinkling in the moon's light as a look of hope shone within them - giving her the beautiful look of a woman in love which made her glow!
"Truly... he really is amazing, the mere thought of him sets my heart ablaze with emotion... and, dare I say? Love," she spoke like a poet, that last word being breathed with sentiment "To others he may seem useless, but to me... he's the most smartest, calculating, most determined and even though looks don't matter, the very sight of him... takes my breath away." She took a breath as her heart palpitations began which caused her to place her hand on her chest as if trying to calm herself - now her actions were beginning to become genuine and no longer an act, never had she felt like this before and she knew for a fact that she would never get this feeling with any other person.
"Honestly, I never knew I could feel like this... it's like seeing the sky for the very first time, whenever I kiss him I just want to vanish within his lips forever... Every day it feels like I'm loving him more and more until said love has become endless... Every thought I have of him, my heart sings and it's like it's telling me to give him everything, the world has become so much more bearable with him in it..." she let off a heartfelt smile as she looked on ahead, listening to her heart beating within her ears, her words becoming whispers "suddenly my life doesn't seem such a waste because it all revolves around him... I always want to be by his side... And... even though stars may collide and the world could crumble, I can find myself loving him until the end of time..."
The more she spoke, the more her feelings could be registered as real though she knew she was getting too much into it as she began to shake her head from all these thoughts and sentiments. She chuckled softly before turning around, an air of mischief to her as she walked back inside after letting off one more clue.
"His name begins with R, by the way... you might know him..."

The more he heard out of her mouth the less he wanted to hear. He couldn't pinpoint the anger in his heart or why it was there- he had no committment from her when they had last spoke. He held no claim over the beautiful woman in front of her, and he was fairly sure now he never would. He too had gifts for her that lay in his room waiting to be shown to the one he had gotten them for, but now his heart felt empty, as if he should just... not...
He leaned against the balcony, trying so hard to act like he didn't care, but the more she talked about this mysterious guy, the more he fidgetted. So that was it huh? She found the love of her life while he was left to be alone... it was unfair, but maybe it was safer for her in the long run. Being with him would only make her a target of his father's rage, and that was terrifying to Rufus.
"His name beings with R, by the way... you might know him..."
Rufus tilted his head, things clicking into place even as tired as he was. He smiled a sweet smile at her, deciding to play her game. He took her hand in his and kissed it softly, giving him the most heartfelt grin in the world. "Well then, Reno is a lucky man... though from what I've seen as of late his affections lie with Miss Damani," he nodded his head in the direction of the bathroom. "Then again, he always seemed like the playboy type..."
He couldn't help but chuckle, taking her by the hand. "Come. I have a gift for you as well, one that I think you'll like very much!"

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Kyrie let off a warm smile as he reached for her hand and kissed it. Busted! Though in all honesty, she didn't care, and she had meant every word she said. There really was no replacing him... He was her first love and she hoped he would be her last - despite the words sounding like those of a rambling school girl's... She meant them. Despite the fact that he could be slow sometimes, he was also clever which made her glad that she could be so discreet with her words. To be honest, she was expecting something a little more... Though perhaps he was just being a 'gentleman'...
With a huff, she pulled her hand away from his before spinning him around to the point where she had ended up pushing him hard against the kitchen wall, knocking a few pictures and notes off whilst doing so as she gripped his arms tightly. With a smirk of mischief, she leaned up and tiptoed to his level so that their noses brushed lightly. "Reno, who?" she smiled playfully before her eyes half closed as they gazed in the direction of his lips before planting her own against them, not so interested in his surprise at the moment as this was the first kiss she had given him in months and she wanted it to at least last. The pressure of her lips showing just how much she had missed his touch.

Rufus grinned as she pushed him against the wall, wasting no time in wrapping his arms around her waist as he leaned down into the kiss. His heart fluttered at the realization there was no other man in her life. The months without her had been lonely, especially since their first real kiss had been cut short by all the drama that surrounded the company. The blond pulled away for a moment to breathe and whisper: "I missed you so much Kyrie..." before he dove back into another kiss. She was perfect in every way he could think.
After what seemed like hours but in reality was only minutes (though he'd love to have kissed her for hours), he pulled away and smiled brightly at her. "I really do have a gift for you that I want you to see," he nuzzled his nose against hers, letting a thumb caress her cheek. "Maybe it'll help you realize how much I really did miss you."

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - A soft smile spread across the lips of the SOLDIER as her forehead rest upon his, their noses brushing together, meeting his gaze created intense heart palpitations. Those eyes... Eyes of a genius, once the gateway to a lost young boy were now ones brimming with confident and knowledge, like puddles of water, so clear she could see into his shining soul... sapphire eyes resembling the bottom of the ocean; mysterious, and intriguing. Drinking in every fleck and tone within them, Kyrie felt as if she could drown in them for an eternity... Steady yet like crashing waves whenever his temper flared. Oh, Gods, how she adored his little outbursts... It was that anger, that fierceness, that passion which made her weak at the knees, although she would never admit it...
Her fingers softly brushed along his lips as he spoke of how much he missed her, she looked up at him slightly as she spoke in a soft, sincere yet somewhat submissive tone as she looked away near shyly. "A life without you... is no life at all..." she murmured, knowing that it was all too rushed hence why she would not yet say those big three words until the moment called for it... However, she truly did care for him, he may not have been the best at understanding but who was she kidding? His love of white and the reasons he wore it were the same reasons as her own, despite emotion... she knew he understood.
This time he leaned in to kiss her once more, she responded with a small groan along with slight trembling at the knees. Gods, when would they finish where they last started...? His soft lips against hers felt as if they were made to be placed together and truly, she didn't want to hold back anymore... But like all things, they must come to an end. She met his gaze once more as the kiss broke and he began to speak. She shook her head at him and smiled, was it really that important?
"It must be quite the gift if you insist on parting yourself from me so often," she smiled cheekily, poking his nose as she stole one more kiss from him before holding onto his arm "fine fine fine, show me what this oh-so important gift is, Ru."
She chuckled softly, cuddling into his arm as she waited for him to lead her away.
