If you wish to become a Moderator for FD then you must Show that you have the commitment and ability to help run this forum. you can do this by either listing the resaons you think you should be in a position of power and how you will use it to help others, or you can show proof of helping to run something similar to a forum (either on your own or with help) and explain how your previouf experiance will apply here.

Oweed, congrats on becoming the main administrator! I'm pretty sure people agree with me on this, but I would definately NOT be a good moderator on a board this big. My board, as the main admin, has only 11 members, making it easy to control. Also, i've never lived up to many people's expectations in life, therefore i would be kicked out in the first week.
I recomend, however, that Angeal be put up for the moderator place. Angeal has helped me through thick and thin, and he's the Co-Admin on my site. He's trustworthy, honest, and is an honor to know in reality. He's very intelligant, which I am not, and people get along with him well. I've known him for most of my life, or at least a good portion, and long enough to understand all or most of his personal qualities. I believe that if you accept Angeal into the moderator title and group, you will have a powerful ally in the staff membership group.

Hiya, it's me, Momo. Anyways, I want to try running for moderator here.
I do come on every day, even when I have nothing to do, just to see what's up and what all's going on. I've had lots of experience with RPG boards, having hosted two of my own, a Cardcaptors-based online game-style RPG and an original story RPG.
I have been moderator before on other sites where people know me for being artistically lenient while I don't ever give in when it comes to a corrective decision I've made, which usually will involve me speaking personally to the admin to make sure s/he is okay with whatever decision I make unless I'm confident it's a fairly obvious thing.
I like to help everyone keep on good terms and not do anything to upset other members, so pointing stuff out that should be changed or removed is usually what I do. I'd do it anyways, but being a Mod reinforces what's being said. Also, bookkeeping and spell-checking.
Not that I'm bent on being a Mod, I'd just like to help you guys out in whatever way I can.

Hey, thanks Alex. He's right. I've helped him on a lot of things on other sites and done a good job with the members. If you want to check OWEED, you can go to swordseekers.proboards58.com My name is Marc there and i kept the site up and running while Alex (Allen there) had his computer down. If you dont choose me then i dont have problem with it. How long do you get on each day? Normally 5 hours on a weekday if I don't have anything else to do. I try to get on for at least an hour every day.
When do you think you can get on? Normally from about 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM EST, or longer, depending on the day and everything. When I have off or on the weekend's it'll be a lot longer.

Why do you want to become a staff member? Because I check on the site every day if possible and I really think there are things I can do to help the site, even if they are little things. Plus I really like this site and feel that there has to be something I can do to help it.
Why should you be chosen to become a staff member Because even though I haven't been active because every thread I seem to start dies or doesn't really start at all, I check up as often as I possibly can. I also have a bit of background in moderation (I site my reference as Darkmage if you don't believe me.)
If a Member was abusive what will you do? (can be anything abusive. EX: Flaming, God moding ETC. ) Abusive as in to another member? I'd probably give them a stern warning and warn the admin and see what the admin believes I should do.

There will be times that I won't be on due to choir concerts and the like, but other than that I'm on quite a bit. I would check in when I'm at school if it weren't for the fact that the school computer have just about EVERYTHING blocked.
If a staff member was abusing their powers how will you address the problem? Try to talk to them and point out what they're doing wrong and if it continues or if they try to start something with me I'd take it to the Global Mod, or the Admin, depending on the severity of the situation.
Do you have any questions, comments or concerns? Not really other than there are going to be a couple times in March, April, and May that I won't be able to get on due to Choir events and the fact that I'm graduating this year. Other than that, good luck to everyone else that applies.

Well Obviously since i was chosen as a possible elective in the one thread there is a quality I have the Oweed seems to like so I'm applying under the impression that I have a right to that and since i can help with developement and do have a few suggestions for the board.

I will give them 1 one warning to cease what they are doing if they are causing no major harm but if they are making a direct threat or trying to be insultive i will temporary ban them for a day or so. Depending on the harshness I'm not easy on picking on others.

I might have enough to run in the stores and such maybe the arena since lately my fighting muse has been through the roof and Oweed has seen some of those first hand.

If someone is abusing their power I will confront them about it and tell them what i think and what they are doing wrong and if they keep doing that same thing i'll tell Oweed since they don't listen to me and i'll try and be calm and nice about it.

How long do you get on each day? About 2-3 hours a day on the weekend, and 1 hour during the week each day.
When do you think you can get on? I get on whenever during the weekend, but around 6-7, and 3-9 O'Clock on weekdays. Mostly because of school.

Why do you want to become a staff member? I've been here on Forsaken Desire long enough to understand all that needs to be done, and all that could be done. I understand all the rules, and most of what the staff members expect of all members. Being along with the few, proud, and brave, I would help in running the site to it's fullest extent, with help from all the members that have joined, are joining, and have been members for a long time.
Why should you be chosen to become a staff member I think I should be chosen because I have had a year and a quarter experiance here on FD, aside from the big gap between August and early September. I was the 42nd member to join FD, and I have been a reletively active member since. I know all the other staff members by heart, and understand how they act. I believe that with my help, the staff group could make this board one of the greatest there could be.
If a Member was abusive what will you do? (can be anything abusive. EX: Flaming, God moding ETC. ) If a member were abusive of his/her character, I would first ask them to correct it, telling them where they were wrong. If they don't understand, i would ask permission of the other staff members to aid me in the problem, explaining why the person shouldn't continue doing what they are or were doing. Finally, if it has gone on long enough, I would once again ask the other staff members to give a warning level, then disable them for a day. Were it to go any further, I would ask to have the member either disabled for a week or more, or ultimately banned.

If a staff member were abusing their powers, I would send a PM to a non-abusive staff member to have them look into the staff member's actions. If I were the only one who noticed, and the other staff members were not there, I would give them the same punishments as the abusive members list I gave earlier.
Do you have any questions, comments or concerns? Only one. If a staff member is abusive of their powers, would they be banned after a while if they continued, and would their position be filled?

How long do you get on each day? Around an hour to half an hour. Depends though because i don't have football anymore. Weekends i can be on for about 1-2 hours. The other day i was on for 3 hours, so it depends.
When do you think you can get on? Every other day during the week. This depends on homework and other activities.

Why do you want to become a staff member? To help all of the new members that are having trouble. I hate watching them have to mess up on their creations and have to constantly redo them like i did. I also think that since the staff isn't on alot, or they didn't used to be, I could be on more to help. I also have a lot of first hand expierience with the new members like Momo and Estel. Finally, i can help with any problems or questions on how to rp.
Why should you be chosen to become a staff member I think that I should be chosen because I can hold up a site while the admin's gone and that helping people is what i do best (if you have any questions about the admin gone thing, it's at the beginning of the thread.)
If a Member was abusive what will you do? I would give them a warning and edit the post so that the rest of the site doesn't need to see it. If anything else happens, i would contact OWEED or Seph, and tell them the situation. Hopefully, they'll deal with the member.

They shouldnt be doing that if they're staff, because there's a reason they were picked by the admin for that spot, and it obviously wasn't to abuse their powers. Also, I would keep a tab for everything that the staff does that's above their powers, and give it too OWEED so he could look at it.
Do you have any questions, comments or concerns? If you don't choose me, I have no problem with it. It either means that there was somebody better than me or that i didn't try hard enough. The only thing is, the next time a staff spot opens, I'm going to be there trying again.
