Where did this Severus Snape and Lilly Potter come into play? It was never in the movies. and I have not read the books?

In the last book you find out that Snape was a childhood friend of Lily Potter's, and that he was absolutely smitten with her. So it's not some made up crap, but had he been less of a jerk or not in Slytherin there's a possibility that they could have been together... ^_^; that was the most awkward part of the book, in my oppinion, but it does explain a lot of things... Like the real reason why he was trying to protect Harry...

Wow! I missed that in the 7th book^^ It's been a while since I've read it^^ XD But yeah there is a possiblity that they were a couple for a short period of time.
