Apparently the Youtube copyright staff feel that 2 of my videos violate copyright laws in some way, however the songs i used:
Love Remains The Same - Gavin Rossdale and
Fury of the Storm - Dragonforce
Are EVERYWARE on Youtube without penalty...
i have prepaired a statement to combat what i believe to be a misstake on the part of the copyright department, but there is a chance that they will remove my account for talking back to them. In that event i wanted to notify all of you, who have been wondreful supportes of my creativity all this time. The statement i prepaired is below:
Dear Copyright Staff, Since proper ownership of the content has been given at the end of my video as well as in a disclaimer in the description section, I have made it clear that I claim NO OWNERSHIP as pertaining to the Audio, video footage, or lyrics utilized herein, as a result of this, I do not think my video should be removed. The following are a small list of the reasons I believe as I do: 1.) By stating that all rights belong to the creator/owner of the content, I am stating that I am in no way involved with the creation of the content and that I am only utilizing it to pay tribute to both the creator of the footage and the audio. 2.) There are far more blatant videos utilizing this particular piece of audio, why is it that they have not been brought to the same measures as I have? 3.) I did NOT alter the audio or the lyrics utilized in my video. 4.) YouTube is (as I was told) a place to share both original video and EDITING skills with fellow members of society, by preventing me from using my creativity to show tribute to the content owners when I CLAIMED NO OWNERSHIP OF THE MATERIALS USED AND STATED THAT THE AUDIO AND VIDEO BELONG TO THE CONTENT OWNERS seems to serve no other purpose but to limit the amount of free exposure the content owners can receive. 5.) In ALL of my videos I take the original meaning of the song (as I interpret it through the lyrics) and try to tell a story with the video footage legally available to me, if there is a more accurate disclaimer that the content owner would like me to utilize, I would be more than happy to do so. Please let me know of your decision in this manner, I believe I have followed all of the rules and guidelines stated by YouTube in the posting of this video and would simply like to know why the content owner feels this tribute should be removed, that way I can take measures to prevent a reoccurrence. Sincerely, DarylKT
If anyone would like, please help me fight this (you dotn have to if you dont want to)
Sincerely,
OWEED
