"Positive," replied the young woman, faintly aware that there was nothing she could do that would make her not be repayed. Oh well. Usagi chuckled light-heartedly as she watched Momo's disappointed expression, obviously thinking she would have gotten away with it. Foxes... what could you expect from such silly creatures?
Her smile quickly faded into a concerned scowl at Chandon's coughing fit. "Sorry I don't have anything else to make you warmer. Damn storm..." she hissed under her breath and shivered.
(Ugg... my inspiration has gone out the window)

(ooo do I need the jumper cables then?)
Chandon waved it off, unable to talk at the moment, and when she did stop coughing she slumped down a bit. That coughing fit had wore her out a little. “Nah it’s ok…I’m just glad I can feel my body now.” Nodding she snuggled down into it again after speaking. She probably was just getting the beginnings of a cold; maybe she’d head to Costa del Sol after this to get over it.
“How are you holding up though Usagi?” The thief asked with a bit of worry, she had the other girls’ jacket, and she was now freezing in her place it seemed. She hoped the storm would pass soon so they both could go.

Still worried, but mildly comforted, Usagi chuckled as if enjoying some inside joke. "Me? Oh, I'm fine. I've been in worse situations than this," she replied proudly, though that was pretty much a lie. Being a beast tamer, she had found herself laughing in death's face more times than she could count; this was just another one of those times, as far as she was concerned.
The brunette turned her attention outward, the storm was settling. "So maybe we won't freeze to death in here. Lovely." In times like these, she was envious of her vixen companion. Animals were so lucky, always warmed by their fur... She shook it off, how stupid of her to complain about such petty things. "I think we should be able to get out of here soon. Thank God."

The blonde nodded, though curious, “Oh really? What’s worse than almost freezing to death?” There had been times where Chandon thought that she’d been in worse situations before. But something always came along to outdo it. Some luck she had then. Then again maybe it was because she always thought, Nothing can be worse than this. Pretty much jinxing herself.
Pushing those ponderings aside for now she glanced outside their little shelter as well. The blizzard was slowing down, the snow fall lighter, and the wind dissipating; a very good sign. “Finally. And then we’re off to town to warm up.” She said with an eager smile, feeling some energy return to her just from that thought.

Usagi nodded, "Much worse," she replied. Well, she thought so, anyways. This was better than having your side split open by a big, angry beast. She traced the jagged scar that mutilated the left side of her body, down to where it ended at her wrist. She remembered the day she had met Momo, just a kit then, and had been cut open by a raging brute as a result.
"Can you walk?" she asked, keeping her golden eyes fixed on the entrance, waiting for the snow to fall (relatively) gently again. Momo seemed eager enough to venture out into the white curtain of ice again. The orange creature plopped down by the entrance and yapped angrily at the whistling wind, as if commanding it to slow down.

Chandon nodded again and her attention drew away from the snow outside back to Usagi. Earlier she had noticed the scar, but didn’t say anything about it, and even now as she watched her trace it she kept quiet. That must’ve been some injury at the time…to scar that bad. She thought with a small wince, as if she had sympathy pains.
“Huh? Oh! Yeah I’m pretty sure I can.” The blonde hadn’t realized she had been so wrapped up in her imagination that she almost didn’t catch what the other girl said. Shifting under the coat she straightened out her legs, wiggling her toes in her sandals, and was glad to find that she hadn’t gotten frost bite.

Usagi yawned, her arms flew above her head, scraping the ceiling of their makeshift shelter. Being in this cramped space for so long had done a number on her joints. If she stayed in here much longer, she would surely go insane! "Good," she moaned as she flexed her muscles; making noise while you stretched always made it more fulfilling, she had discovered, "Let's get going."
The snow at last seemed calm enough for them to venture out into the sheet of knee deep snow. Unfortunately for her, she had not been able to acquire what she had ventured out here for, but there was always tomorrow. The beat tamer scooted her way out of the shelter, grabbing Momo on the way, and placing her on her shoulder. Lucky girl, she didn't even have to walk.

Shifting again the thief moved the jacket around and put it on, quickly closing it up, and almost curled back up again for warmth. But she knew she couldn’t do that; they had to get going. “Yeah, hey will you be ok without this?” She asked while pointing to Usagi’s coat that she was now wearing. (short, sucky, sorry >.< )

(Don't worry about it! We all have our days. x3)
"Oh, don't worry about that," Usagi said, forcing a smile over her frozen face. The sooner they got out of here, the better, and chances were they would run into something nasty before they got to the town. She should hope not. "Come on, let's hurry. I have a bad feeling we're about to get some unwelcome company." The brunette scratched the back of her head, and chuckled nervously.

Chandon stood up when told they needed to hurry but the comment after didn’t make much sense to her. “Hurry to whatever unwelcome thing is going to show up? Well ok…” She couldn’t help but joke a little. But soon after she began coughing again, inwardly cursing the cold that was setting in, and sighed before moving over to Usagi; she really did hope that the other girl would be alright without the coat. (better than mine lol)

(Let's get this started ;D)
Just as Usagi had predicted, they were being watched. She could feel it in her bones... you got a feel for these sorts of things after a while. Sapphire scales glinted, though nearly invisible against the blue hue of the rocks surrounding them. The hunter was of the most dangerous of creatures in this god-forsaken desert of ice. A Blue Dragon, young, but still dangerous.
Usagi tensed. Adrenaline pulsed through her veins. Oh lovely, so they were being hunted. "Oops, too late," she chuckled dryly as Momo began to growl. "We've been found, get ready." Now this was troublesome: she had never been too skilled at close combat, but none of her 'pets', excluding Momo were adapt to this environment. Obviously, Momo was no fighter. Looks like she would have to use what she had, namely her whip.

The blonde had not expected this sort of thing at all, and by the looks of her new friend, neither did she. A blue dragon, Oh how lovely. She thought sarcastically. But a renewed energy began to well up in her at the thought of a battle. Suddenly she felt warm, nodding to Usagi, and slowly reached around behind her to grab her daggers.
“Well do we wait for it to attack first?” Though Chandon was now itching for this fight she knew better than to rush in blindly. They would need some sort of plan at least. And since she wasn’t too good with these sorts of things maybe the brunette would be better left in charge of the planning-for the fight at least.

"Yeah," Usagi growled simply, her eyes fixed on the distant shape, "Lucky for us, it looks like a juvenile. If it were an adult, we could kiss our asses goodbye." Their attack, not having the experience of battle, would fight only on instinct, and most likely couldn't resist and open attack. She would have loved to have such a beautiful animal at her command, but now wasn't exactly the time to be thinking about that. The young woman's gloved hands balled into a fist around Oroborous; her whip. The materia embedded in the weapon's hilt glowed softly.
Unable to hold off any longer, the magnificent predator gave a screech of excitement. Leathery blue wings expanded as the male leaped of the rock into a full blown charge, fangs bared. Foolish though he was, he was not to be taken lightly. Like a hawk diving down onto a mouse, the aggressive reptile shot like an arrow through the cold arctic air.
