The pale raven-hair woman sat in the center of the city, her eyes closed peacefully and her mouth forming unheard words. She sat cross-legged, her hands folding in her lap and her red priestess robes spread out around her almost artistically.
Her katana lay in front of her, sheathed but within reach; there were monsters here that she would rather not waste her magic on.
Kaida Aikuma was a Priestess of Leviathan, now Mother Priestess after the Wutaian Temple Incident, as it would be forever known in her homeland. She had exposed all of the others as frauds and liars, and had been appointed the 'Head of the Order of Leviathan'. It seemed like only weeks ago that had happened, when in truth she had been gone from her homeland for almost 6 months, traveling wherever she pleased for the sake of protecting people.
She had come to the Forgotten City for no real reason other than to just feel the Planet. Yes, as an Angel of Leviathan she could feel the Planet anywhere just as strongly as any of the Ancients could, but she felt it stronger here. Maybe it was the peace and quiet, or maybe it was the fact that the Ancients had meant it to be a closer link to their beloved Planet. Whatever it was though, she could appreciate it to her fullest alone, just like she did most other things in her travels. There were other times where she wished she just had a companion to travel with for any amount of time...

Soaring through the sky, Alex was in his Angel mode. He had to come here, because his magic had been expended and he was bleeding internally. Nothing really too bad for him, he had seen worse. The pain was unbearable, so he had to come here to heal. He found a good spot to land nearby a fountain of magic, and landed with a soft thud. He looked around and saw a girl sitting with her eyes closed. Best not bother her. Alex thought to himself.
He placed his hands under the water and began to fill up on magic, which would eventually comense to heal him. After a minute, he felt replenished on his magic, and began casting Curaga on himself. But, he didn't cast only Curaga, he had cast Angelic Curaga, which was far more healing than regular Cure magic at it's fullest. It seems that the Angelic form in destress gave him greater healing properties, therefore being able to heal himself fully.
The magic enhancement also heightened the sight of the Curaga, and made a huge White explosion that could be seen throughout this holy place. Alex himself was now very tired, and that spell expended all his magic. He restocked his magic, and began to rest.

Kaida watched him with one red eye, the other still closed in prayer. She let out a soft sigh as he rested, standing up and tying her sword to her hip. She let a soft smile play on her lips, kneeling down next to him and resting a hand on his back. She let her energy flow through her fingers an into his body, restoring his magic, energy and any wounds that he might have missed. She stood, her robes trailing behind her as she began to slowly ascend the stairs to the upper part of the city. She was not one to leave someone to suffer when it was dangerous in the area.

Alex looked up and saw the girl leaving his side. He jolted up and stared at her as she began up the stairs. He wanted to thank her, but the words wouldn't form in his mouth. All he could think about was Damani, and how he foolishly left her all on her own. He finally had the courage and asked. "Excuse me," He began. "Would you happen to know of a Damani Fayth anywhere?"
He didn't know whether to wait for a reply or search the world for her. He owed her an explaination for his decisive and rude actions. He was supposed to train her, and not obnoctiously leave her in the dust. Alex decided to wait for a answer. "And, who are you?"

Kaida stopped in midstep, turning to look down at him. "I am Kaida Aikuma, High Priestess of The Temple of Leviathan in Wutai," she said with a polite nod. "As for this Damani Fayth, no. I have never heard that name before now, though the Fayth name is familiar. Is this Damani is any relationship to Destiny Fayth. She was a good friend of mine before her untimely death, as well as a powerful Blood Magic user, though she preferred her weapons."
She stepped down a few steps. "You are an Angel?" she inquired. She had never seen any other angels before.

Alex looked as the girl came down a few steps, then thought of what he wanted to say. "Yes, Damani is very much like Destiny." He began. "In fact, they're one in the same. Damani's mind and Destiny's soul were infused into one body, making my student, Damani." He looked down. He chuckled. "I'm such a bastard. Leaving her alone in the cold of night..."
He shook the thought. "Yes, I am an Angel. However, I'm much different than your average Angel. I am harbinger to both Light and Dark and with that I'm the Keeper of Peace on my home planet, Earth." He closed his eyes, and, after a minute, sprouted his wings. Only, he went Arc Angel and Devil combined, which gave him one black wing and one white wing. [glow=white,2,300]"See? Black is the Darkness, and White it the Light."[/glow]

Kaida nodded, a bit confused. How could two people be one in the same? Yet, she had known many things that could never make real sense. She stepped down a couple more steps, sitting down on the seventh step from the bottom. Her robes seemed to flow with her, partially hanging off the sides of the staircase. "I too am an angel, though I am a Water Angel to be specific. I was sent down by the god Leviathan to protect my people and his worship. I am originally from Wutai, where they worship him. The Temple of Leviathan is there, hidden in the mountains surrounding the city. Our priestesses were corrupt though, doing things and saying that our god told them to, when he requested no such thing and actually frowned upon it."
She sighed softly, shaking her head and smiling at him. "You shouldn't have left her alone. Something that powerful needs to be taught and watched closely," she said with a nod. "Was there a specific reason why you left her? Do you know where she might be?"

Alex was surprised to see another Angel. He reverted himself back to normal, and felt weak somehow. He fell was about to fall to his knees, but caught himself. "Ughh..." He studdered. "Why am I so weak all of a sudden?" He stood back up. Is it because there's another Angel of some sort around? He thought. He looked up to her. She doesn't look like one... But...
He shook his head of the thought. "Well, if you're an angel, show me." He relaxed himself. "If you're an Angel, shouldn't you have wings that you can call upon on your own?"

Kaida sighed, touching the scars on her back where her wings had once been. There were still little piece of bone where they were supposed to be. "The Priestesses cut them off when I was young, saying something about demons and stuff," she told him, a sad look in her eyes. "I can still remember the knife cutting through the bone. I have little stubs of bone left over, but they're useless... Otherwise I would have wings permanently."
She gave him a soft smile. "I have no other proof of my heritage, other than my sword, Tenshi, which was given to me by another angel before he died. Only an angel can use it," she pulled out the blue blade with ancient ruins on it to show him.

Alex closed his eyes. He could remember a kind of pain like that. "My entire family was killed because of the one I was sent to kill. Evedently, it was my cousin. She was the very opposite of me, a Dark entity forged by the devil himself on Earth. I was given my life to save the world from the evil, which was her." He clenched his fists around his swords, and his face cringed.
"I had to kill her to save my world." He lashed out his swords and blindly attacked the wall nearby him. "Dammit!!!" He yelled, forcing the Demon of him out. He slashed once more at the wall, obliterating it. "Why did it have to be her!?!" He had to calm down, so he relaxed a little at a time. Finally, he reverted back to normal once more. He walked back over to the fountian and regained his magic. He sighed, and let the magic take over and soothe him.

She watched his angry rage calmly, her eyes half closed in prayer, as they always were when she heard of such tragedies. She stepped behind him, touching his back softly and forcing some of her soothing energy into him. "I am very sorry for your loss, Alex. My father was killed by our people for the sin of marrying my mother. My mother was banished for the simple 'crime' of giving birth to me. She was supposedly found dead by some of our warriors a few months later, killed by a monster. The only reason they even recognized her was the black robe of banishment and her sword," she said, looking up at the sky as she moved back toward the steps.

Alex could feel Kaida's hand on his back as it emitted a soothing feeling into him. As she walked away, his eyes jolted open. He backhand sprung away from the fountain twice then pulled out his swords. He readied his battle position. "Wait." He began. "How do you know my name? I never said it! Unless... You've been alive for 1000 years!"
He moved closer, very slowly and still in his battle position. "The Angel Mind Reading ability doesn't come along until you've turned 1000 years old, which I have far surpassed! You can't be that old yet, or I would've know about you for at least 500 years! How do you know that ability!?!"

Kaida smiled mysteriously, giving a slight shrug. "I have no answers for you. I have always known the abilities I know now. I do not know how old I really am; to me time means very little. In this body I am 27 years old, but truly I have never kept track. I do know that I have slept for many years on request of Leviathan, and that I have spent two lifetimes as a human on his command to protect humanity and all that lives on this Planet," she said, sitting down on the steps again. "I do not even know my real name; my god will not reveal it to me until he thinks I am ready. I go by whatever human name I happen to have at the time, even after the body is dead and I go back to my god's waiting arms to rest again until I am needed."
She vaguely remembered, though the picture was blurry, the cold casket of Angel Ice that Leviathan had told her to rest in, that it would replenish her strength and keep her ready for the next battle she would have to fight. She always did as he told her to do because she knew that made her more useful. When she would awaken she would never keep track of time because the only way to measure time in Leviathan's realm was to watch the Planet below them. "The oldest I could estimate that I am, and this is probably a really low estimate because of my multiple stasis', is roughly about 400 years old... And even so, you most likely wouldn't know about me. Our god keeps his few angels close to him. There are only three of us, and I am the only one to ever be sent out into the world, and that is in a human body. I don't exactly run around trumpeting that I am an Angel."

Alex still didn't give up his stance. "Then, Leviathan must be some sort of Angel trainer." Alex stated. "There's no way that a possible 400 year old Angel could have learned to read minds. Maybe he trained you while you slept." He moved back a little, and relaxed slightly. "In this case, you're an Advanced Angel; an Angel trained to use abilities far beyond their years. There are only two ranks higher than that, Arc Angel and Demi-God. Arc Angel is what I am currently, and I will never even hope to become a Demi-God. I acquired my Arc Angel status after my 3000th year, which means I am still not as good an Arc rather than just a regular Angel."
He stopped and thought for a moment. Eventually, he droppped his stance and put his swords back in their sheathes. "I'd need to live a total of 10000 years to become a Demi-God. But, I'm only expected for 7000, and after that, I will age normally and die a human. However, once that time comes, my soul will be reborn into another person, with all my memories still with my previous life. Therefore, I cannot actually die. Only transfer my spirit into another."
He stopped once more. "Well, I'd better stop talking and try to figure out where Dezzy could be." He sat down, closed his eyes, and arouse a huge white field surrounding him. "Hmm... Maybe some rumors could direct me to her." He was silent for a minute. "Hey, Kaida. If you want, when I find Dezzy, would you like to come along and meet her yourself?"

"I have no idea how long it's been, but if it you know how long it's been since the death of the Cetra, then that's roughly how old I really am," she said, thinking. "I was there when Jenova first came to this Planet... That was the first time I was ever sent to the Planet to protect people. I have no idea how long it's been since then... No one really does except for Leviathan himself."
She watched him. "Yes, why not? I would like to see the new body she has... I know her Blood Magic well, and I suppose she will need some help learning how to fight, will she not?" she smiled, remembering the training they had once done together, back before she had been killed. "I remember the first time I ever fought her. She had been contracted to kill me and instead we became good friends. She was a skilled fighter even back then... If what your mind shows me is correct; she is even better now. Yes. I will go with you and see her, help her if I can. And she is looking for a sword? I think I have the solution. A Blood Magic user cannot have just any old sword!"
She smiled, standing up. "I will return soon, after I retrieve my things," she replied, walking up the stairs and leaving the man behind. She knew of a sword, broken though it was. It would need to be remade, but she was sure that she could forge it with her magic. She had carried the sword with her for too long now, waiting the day it could be reforged and used by a powerful warrior. She grabbed the pack that was lying in the house that lead to the entrance of the main city. She had left her things her, intending to return to rest for the night before she left. She took out a cloth-covered sword and the small bag of shards that it had given off in its breaking. It was an ancient sword, but it was still full of the magic from it's previous user. She came back down the stairs, inspecting the rusty hilt. "It was forged with magic, and when we find her, I can reforge it with her magic and mine..."
((OOC: It's a bit of a stretch, but I figure it's the best I can do for Damani-chan.))
