Even though it was near death and hadn't had much energy left, the Mono Drive was able to avoid that attack somehow.

(I've just noticed, but you're supposed to have 80 MP and not 40 since you're in the second forum rank, not that it matters much currently..)

As if it was frozen and unable to move, the Mono Drive stayed still as the blade pierced it for the final time, and it fell down lifeless.

His eyes narrowing slightly, Altiarus crouched down a bit, then burst forward with sword behind his back, aiming a quick vertical slash at the new entry.

Just as it came out of the gate, the Bagnadrana had to think fast as it jumped sideways to dodge an attack.

Then, setting its mind on attack, the beast jumped towards its opponent in order to attack, but the fangs missed the target.

Dodge rolling to aside, Altiarus quickly jumped back to his feet and without wasting a second swung his sword towards the Bagnadrana, hoping to score a hit soon.

Unprepared for an attack, all the beast could've done was to howl in pain as the blade hit its chest and caused a severe damage.
-23% HP to Bagnadrana
Bleeding, but having its mind set on revenge the beaast rushed towards its enemy, its head forward. The horn did hit the target, but failed to deliver any serious damage.

Jumping back in reflex, Altiarus managed to avoid most of the damages except for a small tear through his armour and skin. Sighing at the ruining of his new armour, he turned his attention back to the Bagnadrana as he threw every other thoughts into the line for the backburner.
With a huge leap forward, he delivered a vertical attack with power.

Now ready for any incoming attack, the Bagnadrana quickly jumped back to avoid any harm, leaving a trail of blood from the still bleeding wound.
-0% HP to Bagnadrana (a miss)
Then, aware to the fact that the enemy was open, it leaped back towards him, drawing its head forward in order to bite the target. A few moments after, the Bagnadrana's blood was not the only one to have been spilled, after its jaws closed on Altiarus.

"Ack! Damn it! You will regret doing that!" Altiarus heaved as he pushed the Bagnadrana off his shoulder. Then, tightening his grip on his sword, he took a huge step for a wild swing.

Backing away, the beast had foreseen its enemy attack, which was rather reckless and obvious. A quick duck and jump to the side has left the Bagnadrana unharmed.

Still sensing its enemy's temporary weakness due to the last blow he had received, the beast lauched itself at him again, this time its claws drawn forward, but all it could hit was his leg.

Feeling another portion of his strength being sapped from him, Altiarus gritted his teeth as he eyed the Bagnadrana with fury. Bringing his sword to position, he went for a swipe at the monster.

Now cut off guard, the beast has received the attack to its full extant, as a roar of pain came out its mouth as well as blood from the new wound across its neck.
-27% HP to Bagnadrana
With yet another roar, the Bagnadrana had gathered all the energy it had left and leaped towards its foe, ignoring the pain and the trail of blood it left behind it, with it horn drawn forward. The impact of the attack was so powerful, that it almost knocked the beast off its feet.

Sliding across the arena, Altiarus managed a stop himself from making a hole on the wall by stabbing his sword into the ground. He coughed up a mouthful of blood as he tried to steady himself after the attack, which was a fierce one and one he haven't expected.
"Tsk, You will know fear, monster..." He murmured as he gather his concentration and as a golden glow surrounded his body, relished his Limit Break.

Temporarily unable to move due to the large amount of strength it had spent on its last attack and its fresh wound, the Bagnadrana was defenseless against the incoming assault, which knocked it off its feet.
-18% HP to Bagnadrana
Struggling to regain its stance, the beast was back on its feet after a few moments. Then, it rushed towards its opponent, ready to teeth into him, but it was still dazzled by the attack and tripped in the process.
