Estel entered the arena, Yami-Ashi-Ato in hand. He saw the grunt in front of him and took a few moments to study it over, at the same time ready to dodge if it attacked. The creature looked slow and weak, it should be an easy match.
Estel wasted no time in lunging forward, thrusting his sword at the Grunt.

The Grunt stood in its place, trying to weigh up his opponent as much as he could. Then suddenly, the man came forward quickly, thrusting his sword at it. The Grunt rolled sideways, but a bit too late, as the sword caught it in its attempt, on its side.
-6% HP to Grunt
Still close to its opponent, but now with some breathing space, the Grunt took a moment to recover, then dashed at him, its claws drawn, with a shout, but missed horribly.

Estel had plenty of time as the Grunt rushed him, dodging to the side easily he brought his sword up, causing the grunt to run into it.

When the Grunt noticed the sword, it was already too late, and all it could do was to turn a little in his run, so that the sword would hit its side rather than its front.
-11% HP to Grunt
Falling to the ground from the impact, the Grunt did his best to get up quickly and gain some distance from its opponent. Then, it shot at him, but failed to deliver any serious damage.

The shot was clumsy, a desperate attempt at a hit, but it was still fast enough to nip Estel on the shoulder as he rolled. Pushing as hard as he could with his hand, he lunged himself at the Grunt, aiming a kick at it's abdomen.

Now on its feet, the Grunt was ready for an incoming attack. Raising both of its arms to defend against the kick, the Grunt managed to avoid any serious damage, but was still injured in the slightest of way.
-1% HP to Grunt
The Grunt rolled backwards to gain distance from its opponent again, and as it did, it tried to slash at him in its roll, but failed.

Estel rolled to the side as he landed, avoiding the Grunt's attack. Neatly flipping to his feet he swung Yami-Ashi-Ato in a circle, hoping to either hit the Grunt or force it to retreat.

Charging at its opponent again, the Grunt fell prey to his trap, as the spinning blade hit it, sending it crashing to the ground.
-8% HP to Grunt
Understanding now that it would be better to stay far from him, the Grunt shot at its opponent again, but again, the damage was only minimal.

Estel swung a second time, managing to deflect most of the bullets, a few lucky shots hitting him in the chest. "Ow, you are becoming one annoying creep" he called out, lunging forward and thrusting with his blade.

Now with more distance between them, the Grunt had more time to respond, but was yet a bit too slow. By sidestepping, it managed to avoid most of the damage, and was now in position to counter.
-4% HP to Grunt
Standing basically right next to its opponent, the Grunt swung its arm back and forward quickly, trying to maximize the damage to its foe, but somehow missed horribly and stumbled afterwards.

Estel's blade connected as the Grunt tried to sidestep. He placed one hand on the ground and flipped over it's counter attack with ease. Spinning in the air, he brought his foot down on the Grun't head quite hard.

The Grunt did see the incoming attack, but was unable to defend itself in the given situation, as the foot his it, sending its head down at the ground.
-10% HP to Grunt
Not having time to waste, the Grunt rolled over aside before getting up quickly, and running to gain distance from its opponent. In its run, it shot a few shot backwards, most of them hitting the target.

Estel had gotten clumsy and was blasted backwards as he landed. he recovered quickly, stroked the singed hairs away from his eyes and charged forward, abandoning all pretense and putting all his strength in the next swing
