Despite having enough time to escape, the Grunt prepared itself for a counter, as it waited in its place for its opponent to arrive. It was, however, a bit slow and calculated the time of arrival wrong, as the sword hit it with full power, sending it crashing at the arena's wall, as it left a trail of blood and screams.

It took it quite a while to regain its posture, and even then it was still dazed. Though it vision was blurry it still tried to shoot at its opponent, but it went way off target.

The grunt fired off a beamgun to Estel's left, taking the opening, Estel charged forward again, thrusting his sword and aiming for one of the Grunt's vital spots.

His vision was mostly blurred, so it did not see its opponent closing in on it until the last moment. It did though managed to escape any serious damage somehow, by sidestepping.

It didn't have any more strength to run away in order to attack from a distance, so it just tried to use a melee attack, but it failed, since it wasn't able to see well.

The grunt was slowing down, it's injuries becoming too much for it. Estel parried the attack with the greatest, countering with his knee.

The Grunt couldn't do much, as the knee hit it in its abdomen.

Not thinking much about defense now, the Grunt slashed at Estel from a close.

Estel had gotten lazy, expecting an easy win, and the slash caught his shoulder. He managed to spin as the claw hit, taking away most of it's momentum, but he was still left with a nasty looking cut. Ripping the sleeve off his shirt and tying it round the cut as a makeshift bandage. Estel brought up his sword and charged the grunt.
