To finally get sweet release from the gloom and boom of Edge was fantastic you see having to handle stacks of paperwork and analyze samples weren’t exactly on the game-plan for the entire week. Rikelus Deverell ran a hand through his ruffled azure locks shooting her a glance before he grabbed a new ShinRa black leather coat that smelled as if it had just come straight from the factory. He tossed it over his head and ran both of his hands through the sleeves simultaneously adjusting the cuffs before turning to the door and it opened and he spoke sarcastically, “Don’t let the place burn down while I’m gone Aimee.” The computerized voice sounded back to him after a tone, “I wouldn’t dare dream of it Rikelus.” Rikelus stopped for a moment before chuckling softly shaking his head, “Using humor now huh?” With that being said the General exited stage left.
Upon walking down the carpeted corridor they arrived at the elevator and he walked inside pulling out an ID card running it over a scanner activating all the floors for his access. Rikelus clicked the top floor with his index finger and lazily leaned back with the palms of his hands wrapped around elegantly shaped golden handles so that only his knuckles were shown. <DING> Upon reaching the top floor immediately when the elevator doors opened he noticed a large rush of rain entered the elevator towards Maji to pelt her. It almost had the same effect as if someone were spraying water through a garden hose directly at her. Rikelus grinned looking amused before he pulled out a very short stable looking umbrella popping it open and led the way to the chopper.
Upon arriving on the chopper the umbrella was discarded to the backseat, and he took a seat near the back buckling up. He remembered it almost exactly, it was a one hour and fifteen minute ride to Costa De Sol which didn’t allow for much conversation due to the loud rumbling of the helicopter blades and vibrations echoing off the seats, and nearby plastic fabrications. After the headache was over nearly, they began their descent into the sunny Costa De Sol region where waves of deep sea green water, and shimmering golden shores awaited. The landing was much better than the flight and the pilot saluted the Commodore before he exited the plane with Maji The docks were quite an interesting site, several turbo propeller planes were tied to the docks along with ships of all shapes and sizes. Of course you had the usual riff raff running around the docks, as well as the casual drunk. Yup right at home…
He made his way to a condo next to the one that Cloud Strife had purchased from Rufus ShinRa and used his keys to unlock it, the door swung open revealing different style oil, and pastel paintings which were impressionistic and abstract. It seemed that every room was decorated in modern accents with a touch of the Costa De Sol coastline in every accent. Whether it be from shells around the table, the color of the paint on the walls, or the nearby chairs which were color coated in dark cherry. “So whatdoya think?” He glanced over at her watching her run about and open cabinets and claim different knickknacks, objects and clothing in the name of Majidah. He expected as much and let her have her fun with a slight grin on his face.
He walked over to the fridge and opened it revealing several ales and lagers. He raised an index finger to his temple scratching at a lock of hair as he hrmed out-loud and chose a lager. He twisted the cap effortlessly off the bottle as he was walking by a garbage can. It flipped up into the air end over end until it hit the edge of the stained counter-top flying towards the garbage can and sinking to the bottom of the black void. The commodore lifted the bottle lazily to his mouth taking a swig of it before walking over to a nearby window letting the warm Costa De Sol sun soak into his once weary bones and sore muscles. He felt better; but, if anything was the life it was this moment. He had faith that everything was going to turn out alright.
It really doesn’t matter what you believe in, you see faith could be considered abstract which is completely different from an idea because faith is a belief in a roundabout way. Ideas are rather fickle, whereas faith intertwines all of us together somehow with the notion of hope. It doesn’t take a god fearing man, or the most devout Wutain samurai to have faith. Anyone can have faith, the people living in the slums sure the hell do. It’s hard to believe anything else, because at the end of the day faith is all you have. He looked over at Maji before pulling out his PHS and clicking it off. The sound of it powering down whooshed across the room and he slid it to the far edge of the table with a grin plastered across his face. The commodore reached out twisting the knob of the door and pulled the door open letting in a torrent of cascading light which plastered heat across his bare skin. The warmth was that entered his skin felt invigorating and rejuvenating. The only problem was, he didn’t have enough sunscreen for the entire week… Crap… : x
“I suppose that look on your face means you’re far overdue for ‘fun in the sun’ Eh Majidah?”
