*Cloud rode by Tifa's bar, Seventh Heaven. It has been awhile since he had been here. Cloud was always one to drift. For a while now, he had not spoken to anyone, or even bother to see anyone. His cellphone was loaded with messages from his friends, no his family. Cloud then packed his motorcycle right in front of the bar. He pulled out the kickstand on the bike to keep it from tilting as the motorcycle is not able to stand on his own. He knew his "family" especially Tifa didn't like him running off to places without telling them, but if he told them what he was doing then they would be sure to follow and say something like "Cloud, we are in this together!!", which would most likely come from Yuffie's mouth. He walked into the bar, only to find it empty. Cloud looked around and called out to his best friend Tifa. He wondered where she could have gone. They probably all went out for fun or something like that. Cloud sat down on one of the stools and looked to the door hoping that the first one he would walk in was her dear friend.*

As Vincent walked in, he noticed no one was there. No one but a familiar face. He walked up to one of the stools and sat down. So Cloud you come here often

*Cloud then looked to see one of his old friends. If it was anyone he saw the most when Cloud was gone, it was Vincent. It was as if Vincent was watching over him. Cloud, once got the idea that Vincent was told to watch over him by Tifa. And at times it seemed to be true, but other times it was not so. At times it would be Cloud that found Vincent instead of the other way around. During their conversations, Vincent always seemed to be the voice of reason, much to Cloud's dismay. Sometimes when Cloud and Vincent talked, Cloud would be bent on doing something but then Vincent would always turn him around, no matter how much Cloud tried to plead his case and make Vincent see things his way and have Vincent agree with him. Vincent was just as strong as he was smart, and that bothered Cloud a bit. Vincent's skills made Cloud look like a meathead, being that he is strong but not as smart. But of course Cloud wasn't dumb, he was appeared to be whenever he was with Vincent, at least that was what Cloud thought. With a smile, he greeted and replyed Vincent.*
"Well, not as much as I'd like. You know I've been busy lately. Have you seen Tifa around? I was just in the neighborhood, so I thought I'd say hi. You know I still have things I need to do..."

Vincent shook his head. He knew Cloud was always in a rush to do something. Always leaving his friends behind. He always had to watch after what he did. Kinda like a guardian angel.
You know Cloud you shouldn't leave you're friends behind especially Tifa. I'm always watch after you 2 kids, but I can't always be there to save you're ass. You know that more then anybody. Know I suggest you put off whatever you need to do, until you see Tifa again. I'm sure Denzel and Marlene wouldn't mind seeing you again either.

Tifa was in the office, in the second floor just above the bar, taking a call from a man who wished to have a package delivered to a specific location. Cloud just usually came in, takes the packages and off he goes... Sometimes it amazed her how she managed to stay in this so-called relationship with the chocobo-haired man. It was usually her tending to the bar. It was usually her taking care of the children, of Denzel and Marlene. And again it was usually her taking in all the calls for the deliveries that needed to be handled. Deep down, it bothered her. The way Cloud would just get up and go without a word and sometimes wished what on earth was going on in that mind of his, and Tifa was almost set on giving him a lecture. That is, once she ever saw him again. But wasn't that the quickest way of getting on someone's nerves? Perhaps... maybe... but she needed to give him a piece of her mind.
She hung up the telephone and jotted down a few last minute details on a spare piece of parchment. Tifa could've sworn she heard someone speaking downstairs. If the children were out playing, could it be customers? She got out of the office and climbed down the stairs to meet whoever was present at the bar.
[glow=blue,2,300]"I'm sorry, gentlemen, the bar doesn't open 'til....."[/glow] Tifa stopped in mid-sentence and started to trail off as soon as she realized who was at the bar. [glow=blue,2,300]"Vincent... Cloud!"[/glow] A soft smile formed from the corner of Tifa's lips... suddenly, lecturing Cloud wasn't on her mind anymore... she just glad he was back.

*Cloud then looked to the floor. Vincent reminded him of what he had been avoiding, what he had been doing. And that was leaving his friends behind, leaving them worried of his own safety. Cloud felt somewhat ashamed in just leaving them from time to time. Leave it to Vincent to tell it how it is, and Cloud would hate it everytime Vincent would tell it like it is.*
*Then Cloud looked to the stairs that lead to the next floor. He then heard another familiar voice. He smiled at who he had seen before him. It was a beautiful young woman with long black hair and brown eyes that sparkled in the light. She was another one of Cloud's old friends, and she was the exact person that Cloud was looking for. Cloud felt suddenly warm at the sight of the young woman. He then tried to lighten his expression and waved to the woman, as he felt kinda awkward as well.*
"Hi...Tifa..."

Tifa just shook her head with the smile still upon her lips. He just... didn't know, did he? How worried he had gotten her. How many times she had gone out through that door looking for him of all the places she could possibly think of. And all he had to say was hi as if nothing had happened. But still, now wasn't the time to vent out her frustration. Tifa was in the company of old friends once more.
[glow=blue,2,300]"Guess I'll make an exception with you guys."[/glow] she said as she made sure the closed sign was properly hanged upon the door, and went behind the bar and pulled out a couple of small glasses, offering it to both Vincent and Cloud. [glow=blue,2,300]"How's about couple of cold ones? For old times sake?"[/glow] she asked.

*Cloud followed Tifa with his eyes as she walked over to the bar table. Cloud then sat on a stool in front her. Cloud thought to himself a little. How was Tifa doing? How were Denzel and Marlene? Cloud wanted to see them but hopefully he wouldn't. Because if he ever did, then he wouldn't be able to leave. It was hard enough last time when he had to do it. He knew this must have hurt all of his friends, not just Tifa. But what could he do? In fact he didn't even have a "mission", he couldn't help anymore. He was just a delivery boy, nothing more. And he had the Geostigma virus, which is hidden inside his left sleeve. Cloud felt that he couldn't help or protect anyone, not even himself. Then by Tifa's voice, Cloud's thoughts were broken. Tifa had offered them drinks. Cloud then nodded, accepting the offer.*
"I'll take a drink, nothing heavy though..."

A faint flicker of light crept into the darkness with wary eyes. The slight creaking of aged metal gave a muffled cry in agony as the door to the facility was opened yet again to permit the entrance of another. At first glance towards the doorway, one would see nothing more then a silhouette of a rather large being standing amidst the light that flowed into the darkened contents of the room; yet, given a moment later, the life of the room was back to its dull manner as the door snapped shut with a soft click of the latch sliding in place. A hulking mess of gray strode forth, his head hooded as was the rest of his body covered. A hollow thud seemed to sound every time he took a step, though whether it was his footwear or his odd size was another question to add to the pile. Slowing to a halt a few feet from the bar, those present would not be able to see his figure clearly against the dimmed light from the windows. He averaged around seven feet in height, but with the cloak around his body, it was hard to guess his frame. A thin sliver of chin managed to stick out of the cowls that surrounded his head and face, showing only a fraction of slight tanned skin. Yet once he lifted his head high enough, one could also easily see single brightly lit iris, a signature of excessive exposure to Mako.
A ragged sigh jumped between the even breathing. Not waiting a moment longer, the shadow came forward and spoke. Nothing hard or cold, yet it was naught more then a mere whisper directed to the mistress behind the bar. A rather coy voice given the stature of the source it was coming from:
"I heard this was the nearest bar in town..."
A restless shifting could be heard within the coat; he had been sore from traveling such a distance, and it was beginning to take its toll. A slight opening from the movement gave an accidental glimpse of a blade hiding behind his back with a short gun strapped to his belt. The glimpse would have been quick, for once it was shown, it dissapeared back into the darkness from whence it came.
"A quick drink would be nice. And if I may be so kind as to ask where I may find a place to sleep around here...?"
He continued. Finally able to render his body to silence as it stood still once more, seemingly, a shadow lost within its own darkness which surrounded it.

*Cloud waited on Tifa to ready the drinks. Suddenly, he felt a strange presence in the room. It was up to the point when Cloud grabbed the hilt of his new weapon, The First Tsurugi. Cloud looked around the bar. But not so much to grab Tifa's attention. If Cloud had felt it then Vincent certainly must have. Cloud then looked to the entrance and saw a tall man come forward. Cloud observed him closely and saw that he had a sword and gun with him. Cloud, although not showing it, showed interest in his eyes. They looked like his own and that of his enemy Sephiroth. Could he have been exposed to Mako too? The question that Cloud asked himself echoed in his mind many times. He let go off the hilt of his new sword to eliminate any potential brawls. He then turned back around and faced Tifa.*

Nothing heavy? I've got just the thing, Tifa thought as she rummaged through the back of the bar to pull out the white wine Barret had purchased as a gift to her all the way from Coral. She had been saving this for a special occasion and couldn't think of anything more special than Cloud's return home. Or rather, that was what Tifa had hoped...
As she was about to pour out the drinks, the sound of the door caught her attention. She looked around to see this stranger who entered the bar. Tifa could've sworn she had set up the closed sign on the front door, but it really wasn't in her nature to turn away anyone in need, unless they asked for trouble. All it seemed to be was another traveller who needed a place of lodging.
[glow=blue,2,300]"There's an inn just across the street. You're welcome to take a rest here if you'd like..."[/glow] she added, setting another glass on the counter and filled it up. The quick glimpse of a weapon hidden behind the man's cloak gave Tifa a flashback of all those battles she, Cloud, Vincent and the others had faced against the ShinRa -- against Sephiroth, all those years ago. It was nothing more than a distant memory now. That fight was over... it was time to move on.

*Cloud put his gloved hand on his glass and brought it toward himself. He then stared into the glass of white wine. He looked to Tifa and then to the glass of wine. He ran his hand through his spiky blond hair. And then stared into the glass again. Something didn't feel right. Cloud couldn't really tell what it was, but it was here. Somewhere around this bar, maybe it was the man that came in. Cloud then brought the wine to his lips and drank a little. When he put the drink down, it was as if he didn't drink at all. The amount in the glass didn't change. Cloud circled the rim of his glass with his finger. Something troubled him, and without knowing it, his expression to show his worry had made its appearance.*

Nodding softly as she spoke, Saerin hobbled over to the nearest stool as fast as his weakened legs could move; finally falling into the seat in a heap of cloth hunched over the single glass now filled to the brim with a thirst quenching liquid that screamed out 'Drink me! Savor the taste!'. For a moment, He eyed the glass with a quizzical glance, considering his sanity at the very moment the glass seemed to reach out to him. Shrugging off the thought a second later, a gloved hand slowly reached out to pick the cool drink up off the surface of the bar and to his lips for a light sip before he set it down once more with a dull thud.
"Mmm, that is a good drink..."
The words slipped out like a faint whisper, though clearly audible to those around him. An emtpy gaze seemed to reach out from his single eye, touching the wet surface of the mug with a dead stare as if something caught his interest. The look held strong, then broke as the cowled head lifted slowly to the woman serving as the tendor of the bar; the Mako-Green eye glimmered brightly as a wave of light washed over the empty gaze that met the glass no more then a moment earlier. The face, which was shadowed upon his entry, was now nothing more then a dim dark facade that could be readily seen. Soft lines and thin lips seemed to be nothing compared to the single eye which was semi-hidden beneath brown strands of hair; the other, wrapped about in a black cloth which revolved around his head. Though despite the rather eerie appearance, a soft nature seemed to emite from his presence. Of course, within this day and age, most based a person on his appearance rather then his personality... An inner sigh, his left leg dropped from the rung of the stool and fell softly onto the floor; once again opening that faint slit within his coat to give a wide open view of his gun and the middle to tip of a blade.
"Say, has anyone from ShinRa been seen around these parts?"
It was a rather simple question coming from a curious source. His most recent mission was done for the company, though it has been proven before that the methods in which ShinRa goes about business leaves more to be desired; leaving him in a confused state of what to do half the time. Yet, if they were out here, it would only benefit him more to sneak a peek on what they would be doing...

Tifa took up her glass and drank its contents in one go. It wasn't that strong, nor was it very flavorable compared to most wines she had in the past. Perhaps just a couple more years in storage would do just the trick, but it was satisfactory to the pallete all the same.
The sudden mention of ShinRa brought chills up Tifa's spine and had to urge to just steer clear from the subject. She took her empty glass and washed it up, looking on at Vincent and Cloud through the corner of her eye. Both were members of the ShinRa's elite force (Soldier and the Turks)... Ex-members, she reminded herself. If they wanted to answer, then go right ahead, she thought. Tifa ultimately remembered when Reeve, the Head of the Urban Development Department, and now the founder of the World Regenisis Organization, would come around every now and then for a drink or two..
[glow=blue,2,300]"Hmph... ShinRa..."[/glow] she muttered under her breath as if it were some kind of curse as she continued to finish up the washing. [glow=blue,2,300]"The less they're around; the better."[/glow]

*Cloud was taken aback at this man's interest with ShinRa. Cloud hated that company with every fiber of his being. He hated talking about them. He hated to even have anything to do with them. And to think he was a SOLDIER. If he had known what ShinRa truly stood for, then he wouldn't have joined in the first place. But he had made a vow to protect Tifa, and he was gonna keep that promise, no matter what the cost. Cloud's expression turned into a disgusted look, one that might give another the impression that he had smelt something foul. He then looked to the man, and spoke out to him.*
"What do you care about ShinRa..."
