Rainy Day Blues (Tifa, Open)

Also, can I join this post?)With a large yawn and a overworked look on his face, Leon wandered aimlessly through the streets of Edge looking for familiar faces or a bar in which he could drown his tiredness in. After the better part of an hour, he stopped and scratched his head wondering where the heck he had gotten himself to. after a long servay of the area, he realized that he was on the same street that the 7th Heaven was on. So he quickly decided to go visit some of his new old friends. After quietly laughing at this little oxymoron he began walking in the genertal direction of the bar.Even before he arrived at the bar Leon could tell that there was a monsterous amount of people inside. So, without a second though, he slipped down a side passage and into a side door of the bar. He made sure that he made some noise so that Tifa would come into the back to see what it was. So he sat down to wait until she showed up with a beer in his hand whistling a tune to himself.

Tifa smiled back at a friend she had thought she lost two years ago... back then she had a lot of friends whom she had gotten close to in a short matter of time and lost in a mere heartbeat. She was ultimately glad Jessie was alive and well. So many questions rose... where had she been all this time? What happened? How did she survive and get through Meteorfall? But all she could pluck up to ask right there and then was: [glow=blue,2,300]"You mean... Biggs and Wedge didn't...?"[/glow]
When Jessie inquired as to where were the others, Tifa only responded: [glow=blue,2,300]"There still around. Cloud and Barret are..."[/glow] Before Tifa could finish her sentence, Barret walked into the bar. She half-expected Marlene to leap into her father's arms exclaiming how much she missed him and how boring things had gotten. Nonetheless, she was glad more familiar faces kept arriving.

[glow=blue,2,300]"Guess who?"[/glow] she answered Barret with a sort of playful sneer. Another customer arrived through the door and she didn't want to seem rude and keep the guests waiting. She did, after all, have a job to do. She then heard something at the back of the bar... someone else was there. She found later on, that sound came from a man, sitting with beer in hand, humming a tune to himself.

[glow=blue,2,300]"Leon?"[/glow] the name just came automatically to her upon seeing his face. It had been a while since she had seen him around...

jessie looked down when tifa asked the question about biggs and wedge.she then heard barret walk into the room and her head shot up.she then turned around slowly."hi"she said wondering how he would react to someone who was supposed to be dead

"Jessie?!" was all he could say he backed up and stumbled over a chair and fell on his butt. He continued to back up in total panic.

"Your supposed to be dead!" he said pointing his gun arm at her

"Wh...who are you? What are you? Why do you look like Jessie?" he was beyond freaking out

"Hey Tifa! Im so glad you came to see me. I was getting kinda lonly back here." Leon said as he looked up. He took a drink of his beer and stood up. He set his drink down and rummeged in his coat. "Now where did I put it...? It has to be here somewhere... Ah ha! Here it is!" He said aloud. "For you." He said as he pulled out a bouque' of flowers. Each of the flowers were roses and they were all a different color, ranging from a deep red to a midnight blue. "Though that you might like them... So i picked em up and brought them here." He said with a large smile.

Tifa smiled as she found Leon at the back of the bar, but she found it even more surprising he had brought a bouquet of roses just for her! She giggled inaudibly at the sight of them... sure, once every now and then some 'admirer' would drop off a few flowers every now and then, whether in person or anonymously, and she knew all too well she gained a little more attention than she would've liked... but... she didn't really expected Leon to even attempt this as well...

[glow=blue,2,300]"You shouldn't have..."[/glow] she said, feeling her face turn scarlet. Tifa took the flowers and returned a smile to Leon... they were kinda pretty, she thought to herself admittedly. [glow=blue,2,300]"I'd better not let Cloud see these, then... you're not exactly on his friend's list, y'know?"[/glow]

Before she knew it, Barret raised his voice. She turned to see what was going on and could see Barret pointing his gun-arm at Jessie.

[glow=blue,2,300]"Barret!"[/glow] she called out, trying to divert his attention and hoping that it would refrain him from doing anything stupid... especially in front of Marlene. What sort of example would he be setting up for a seven year old girl anyways?

Barret backed away looking back and forth from Jessie to Tifa. Gun arm still pointed in Jessie's direction, shaking.

"What? She's dead so how is she standing here? Is Biggs and Wedge here to?"

His cynicism blatantly obvious in his tone.

"Oy! Barret! Put that thing down you idiot! do you wanna scare everybody outta here? Dont make me put my beer down and come over there!" Leon yelled at Berret as Tifa opened the door. he shook his head and got up. He then placed his beer on the counter and walked out to the bar itslef, with an "Excuse me." To Tifa. With obvious ease, Leon jumped over the counter and landed on the floor, feet first. he walked over to Barret and stood in front of him and crossed his arms. "If you try, ill have your arm off in a less then a second." he warned him.

"Fine, but someone tell me how the f@*! is Jesse standing there and alive."

He said standing up off the floor and walking past Leon, rubbing shoulders with him as he passed by and made his way to stand face to face with Jesse. He looked eye to eye with her and waited for a response, crossing his arms.

"Obviously Barret, she didn't die in the explosion of the sector 7 pillir foundation. Yes i heard all about it. There is a completely logical explanation to this so relax." Leon said as he walked around the bar and went back to get his beer. he came out with it and again jumped over the counter with ease and sat at one of the barstools.

jessie sighed and picked up her cloak.if she had know her presence would cause this much trouble she wouldnt have come."goodbye"she whispered and headed for the door"it was a mistake coming here".she looked back once more then left the bar and began walking back to her house

Barret ran out after her, he caught up to her and grabbed her by the arm.

"Look if you are the real Jesse and not dead then why haven't you come to us before? I've seen clones, experiments and other things that can lead me to believe that you are a copy of Jesse or something else. Perhaps I jumped to conclusions back in the bar and was a little hasty, but I have my reasons for it. I don't know why but Leon of all people calmed me down."

He wrapped his arms around Jesse and hugged her

"It's good to see you whether its you or some experiment, I've missed you Jesse."

"i missed you too and im the original jessie.i tried to find you but i had to hide from shinra as i went and you were always two steps ahead of me"jessie said sadly as she hugged him"we were running from the falling plate but it was obvious that we werent going to escape. biggs then grabbed me and threw me into the next sector. i hit my head and when i woke up i saw the top half of biggs' severed body"jessie started crying as she finished telling her story

He held her while she cried, brushing his hand through her hair comforting her.

"So Biggs and Wedge are definitely dead?" he asked
