OOC:((It's after the Nibelheim incident, I hope you don't mind, Tifa))
A blonde man, clad in black, slowed down on his bike in front of the Seventh Heaven Bar. He takes out the key to his motorcycle and the engine dies. Cloud walked toward the front door and stood completely still before opening the door. The A/C hit him like a boxer does another as he walks into the bar. It was silent, which was unusual. Someone was always here, even when Tifa wasn't. However, Tifa was the reason why Cloud was here.
Cloud, finally acting on his feelings, asked his close friend Tifa out on a date. However, Tifa leads him to Nibelheim. Cloud was too excited for the date to see that Tifa was leading him to fight a monster that Barret was having trouble with in Nibelheim. Cloud felt a number of emotions that day. He felt sad because he thinks that Tifa needed to deceive him in order to help his own friends. However, he also felt angry because he wanted to spend time with Tifa but he instead spent time with a monster that was a pain in Barret's behind. Cloud walked to the middle of the bar, and thinking that Tifa was upstairs. He was going to call out to her. But, he didn't know whether he was here before her or vice versa.
"Hello...Tifa. I've gotta talk to you. Are you here?"

Tifa wasn't at the bar that day.
She closed it on for the day and went out, since the bar started to (in a word) suffocate her. Needless to say, she began to feel a little lonely. Denzel was out with friends; Marlene was spending quality time with her foster-father, Barret; Cloud was off somewhere else like always; leaving Tifa all alone serving paying customers.
But Tifa didn't feel like tending to guests today. No. She was tired. On the edge. She wanted out, even for just a moment.
She walked through the streets of Edge in hopes to clear her head. And perhaps get her conncted with the world once again. That hope, however, didn't turn out as well as she had hoped. Defeated, she retreated from the uneventful stroll along the streets to the solitary premisis of Seventh Heaven.
Entering through the back door, Tifa felt as though she wasn't alone. Was it a customer? Did Denzel, Marlene or Barret return?
[glow=blue,2,300]"Cloud?"[/glow] the name escaped her lips upon finding the chocobo-blonde haired man. He was the one most of her thought had been consumed on yet he was the last person on Gaia she expected to see. She felt a little awkward, this being their first encounter together since the more recent incident in Nibelheim. But all in the same time, she felt comforted knowing Cloud was here...

OOC:((Sorry for my long absence, Tifa))
Cloud, after a while, turned to see a young woman of astounding beauty. Cloud always thought that Tifa was something special, Cloud thought very highly of Tifa and believe it or not, she was always on his mind. It didn't matter if she was the last thing or the first thing on his mind, she just was, however even though that didn't matter, she was never in the back of Cloud's mind. Cloud had unconditional love for Tifa, no matter what she did, Cloud's feeling for her would never change. However, one day when Cloud acted on these strong feelings of his, after certain events, Cloud begn to second guess whether he feels more than friendship for Tifa.
Cloud asked Tifa if she was busy and he asked her for a date, in which she accepted. When they were talking over the phone, Cloud is put on hold, after a while Tifa asks for him to meet her in Nibelheim. Even though he had his doubts, he was not going to let his thoughts get in the way of having a good time, Cloud felt like he was on top of the world. He bought flowers, he freshened up even though he wore his regular clothing: black all over with his left arm sleeved and his left leg covered by black cloak, while the right side stood without black cloaks. Cloud surprised Tifa with flowers and received a hug from her, which was something he hadn't received in a long time. But when they hear battle sounds Tifa rushes to battle with Cloud right behind. They both see that Barret is in the heat of battle and Tifa and Cloud rush to help. However, by the words of Barret, Cloud seemed to have been led here by Tifa. Cloud and Tifa talked about it quietly but they decided to leave that for another time, and that time was now.
"Hey, Tifa..."
Cloud turned full body and stared at Tifa for a while, with a non expressive look on his face. Cloud, looking at Tifa, began to ponder whether he should have stay oblivious to his feelings and went on with how life was going. Cloud thought that if Cloud hadn't asked Tifa out then they both wouldn't be in this situation. Cloud sighed and sat down at a table and motioned Tifa nicely to come and sit across from him.

Tifa bit the insides of her lower lip, as if waiting in vain for the awkward silence to be lifted somehow. The brunette stood silently by the doorway from which she entered. Mixed emotions battled within her -- the mild, friendly smile she bore for the man before her expressed happiness and fondness. Glad at the mere sight of Cloud and Cloud alone. But deep down she was stricken with guilt -- the emotional torment of betraying the one person she really truly cared about only to get him to fight in a battle that didn't seem to make any sense. Tifa had led him on. Made him believe they were going out on a date... and for what? What did it accomplish? How could she face him?
She was frieghtened at the thought that her actions only distanced herself from Cloud. That she had hurt him bad enough, he didn't want anything to do with her. However, his presence at the bar stated otherwise. He was here. He wanted to talk. To her. There might be hope.
As Cloud moved over to seat himself at a nearby table, he motioned for Tifa to sit across him. She bit her lower lip once more. If only she didn't return to the bar, she wouldn't have to face Cloud now. If only she hadn't closed down the bar today, she would've been tending to strangers and customers rather than facing this awkward situation. But then again, if only she had told Cloud the truth in the first place, none of this would be happening. She had to stop running now and face the consequences. Without hesitation and a quiet sigh, Tifa walked over to Cloud's side of the room and sat herself down just opposite of him.
Secretly and silently, she wished something would rudely and abrupty interrupt them, and avert the current situation. An uninvited customer. A phonecall. Some random monster attacking the streets, perhaps. Anything felt better than this stress-building conversation that was about to take place. But there was no escaping this. And there she sat without emitting a word, her eyes looking from him and then to the table, practically and emotionally bracing herself for whatever it is that Cloud was about to say to her.

Cloud, in all honesty, did not know how to start off. He couldn't just bluntly say that 'Why didn't you tell me the truth?' or 'Maybe we should just stay friends?' It would be bad if he planned it what he was going to say, as stuff such as this cannot come from the mind but from the heart. Cloud was, to put bluntly, in a tight spot, just like Tifa might be in right now. He was never really afraid when it came to speaking so why would it be happening now, this was what was running through Cloud's mind in this awkward silence.
Cloud began to run some things through in his mind, he thought that maybe they weren't supposed to be together. Otherwise, this wouldn't have happened. Everything could have ran smoothly, but however maybe it was just at the wrong time. Cloud quietly broke his trance and his eyes stood focused on Tifa once more. Cloud figured that in order for this to work, he would have to stop 'thinking' for a bit and start doing. Cloud slowly took Tifa's hands into his own, he stared into her beautiful face and he began to speak.
"Tifa, I want you to know that I...care about you...a lot. And...I'm not sure, but I think you know how I feel about you when I asked you...out. So...uh...I know I sound like a girl for saying this, but how do you feel about...me...?"

She didn't mean to, but she felt it. Tifa was trembling all over. With her palms clasped together over the table, she endured through the silence, wondering what on earth was going through Cloud's mind... constantly wondering what was about to happen next. Was he mad? Disappointed? He should be, she thought.
When Cloud took Tifa's hands into his, she stopped shaking. All thought slipped away and could only stare back into those deep blue eyes. She didn't expect his response to be anything like this, nor did she know how to reply.
[glow=blue,2,300]"I-... I..."[/glow] The brunette was utterly speechless. Not that she didn't know how she felt about Cloud. Of course she had strong feelings for him. Perhaps more than anyone he might come to know. It was just that Tifa was never one to express her feelings through words. She grasped his hand a little tighter, as if hoping everything would be alright.
[glow=blue,2,300]"I don't want to keep hiding things from you, and I don't want to hide from me either..."[/glow] she blurted out. It wasn't exactly what she meant to truly say, although it was only part of what was to be said... somehow the rest couldn't be spoken. Why were those particular words so hard to say? she thought.

Cloud hoped that his statement would get through to Tifa and they would both finally know how they felt about each other. Tifa seemed speechless at what Cloud said, this only served to feed Cloud's anxiousness and worry. What if Tifa refused him, what if she didn't feel the same way Cloud felt about her. Soon, Cloud felt that all of this was going to go downhill. But then, Tifa's voice came alive.
Cloud's eyes sank themselves deeper into Tifa's own when she spoke but she stopped at the beginning of her voice. It couldn't even begin to describe how Cloud was feeling, it was all so strange to him. Tifa squeezed Cloud's hands, and it stung just a little bit. Tifa may have been human but she had hands of iron. Due to her being a martial artist, the strongest part on her body were her hands and feet, and Cloud was experiencing that first hand. His face wouldn't give it away, though as he was lost in what Tifa's reply would be.
She finally spoke, telling Cloud that she didn't want to hide things from him anymore nor from herself even. This wasn't exactly what Cloud was expecting to hear. Her reply seemed incomplete among other things. Cloud was confused but again he wouldn't and he didn't let it reach his face. Cloud nodded a little in acknowledgement, he waited a moment and then he spoke. But then he began to wonder, what else was she hiding from him?
"...Hiding things? What are you hiding from me...?"
