Disgusting. Utterly disgusting. He didn't like it. No, not at all. The sight of so many children, orphans even, struggling with their lives made his tanned skin crawl with disgust. To see them like this reminded Archer Friggz, of his own past here on this town called Edge. A place he had once known as "home". He walked across the busy streets, his eyes glancing child to child as he walked past them. Some seemed healthy though, but others...weren't so lucky. Geostigma, as they call it. An unknown disease that reared its naturaly ugly head at least a year ago, targeting children and occasionaly, some weak adults. No one knew where this horrible disease had come from, nor anyone knew of how to cure it. Not even their source of power, materia, could do anything. Thus, the rouge disease had claimed many young lives...
Wait a minute! Why was he thinking of such things anyway? What did he care about it anyway? Nothing. That's right, nothing. He shook his head. Archer came here looking for a job, not a way to cure diseases that doesn't involve him in anyway. He just came here for that reason; a job to sustain him. He was good in his old job but...well, not that he quit. Things got complicated(to the point that Shinra was destroyed) and Archer was forced to look for some other work. And this is where it takes him. Edge. The same town he grew up in, and the same town that kicked him out for growing up.
How nostalgic. He walked through the busy streets, brushing up against many civilians. It never changed...after so many years. Although...he could be wrong. As he continued his search, Archer had stumbled upon something that wasn't there before. A bar. That probably doubled as something else but what it was, he wasn't sure. He takes a moment staring at the door, before deciding, what the hell?, and entering the bar. The door opens, a small bell chimes, signaling Archer's entry. It wasn't full of people, probably because it was still daytime outside. At least a half dozen were inside, chatting and talking and whatnot. He takes a seat near the windows, waiting for the waiter or waitress...
