"Hehe."Eden stood looking at the glowing tube in the center of the room, not blinking, hoping to see it. Men in hazmat suits flowed around, taking their little readings. One drew too close to the tube and began screaming. "Idiot!" Eden growled springing into action. He rushed in and threw out a gloved hand. Tendrils of blue light snaked out of the tube, wrapping the poor fools arm, freezing it like liquid nitrogen. "Reflect!" A nearly invisible wall leaped effortlessly from Eden's hand. As it crossed in front of the tube, it broke the tendrils and sent them slithering back into the tube. The man's arm unfroze, and was grabbed and pulled by Eden, leading the man away from the tube. "You Fool!" His employer roared. "What did I say before we left the ship?! 'Don't get close to the tube or you may be seriously injured'! Next time, you'll listen, won't you?!" The man nervously jerked his head up and down in a desperate affirmation. "Good." Eden sighed. He looked back to a woman, beautiful and elegant, holding a clipboard a few feet farther away from the tube, close to the broken electronic door they had had to blow open. "It seems I was wrong to doubt your instincts, dear. This is definitely him." Eden stepped right to the glass and stroked the tube with a hand. "Beautiful, isn't he? Too bad it's not time to take him yet." He made a hand gesture, and the Hazmat crew ran out of the room, leaving him with the tube and the woman. "Rufus, you sly bastard. Keeping him all to yourself down here. 'Tis a sin worthy of death to keep an ancient one contained.' Ha! The shaman couldn't have put it into better words for this case. This most definitely is a sin I'll have to kill old Rufus for. Oh well, cest la vie."
