There were some places for Calamity that triggered more memories than others and this place triggered more than any where ever had. Something about this place brought back so many memories that weren't as sad as some of the ones she'd recovered.
Pain flooded her body, forcing her to her knees. A blood curdling scream left her lips as she clutched her head in pain. Her breathing was uneven and as the pain faded she was left panting hard.
*Flashback*
"Hey Calamity!"
The girl with deep blue hair turned and smiled at the redhead behind her. "Hello Reno," she glasped her hands in front of her and blushed slightly as she saw him smirk.
*Flashback end*
As the pain faded and she was finally able to breath she smiled at the memory, Calamity looked around, looking for any thing that look familiar as she slowly and unsurely pushed to her feet. Was I a Turk? she thought to herself, looking around again. She didn't understand, who was Reno? Was he a friend? Calamity crossed her arms over her chest, walking through the Shinra Headquarters, looking for anything that would trigger a memory for her.
"Is there no-one here that can help me?" Calamity whispered to herself as she looked around again, there must be a record of the Turks or something? Shouldn't there?
The pain that had left her started to come again, she started to shake violently as she leaned back against the wall for support.
*Flashback* The rod in her hand was lighter than the sais she'd been trained with, they didn't fit in her hand the way her sais did. She spun the rod in her hand before throwing it away. "Not gonna happen," she said quietly.
"Ouch!"
*End Flashback*
Calamity sighed as she leaned against the wall, waiting for the pain to fade. She was keeping her eyes open for any signs of people coming, maybe even Kai, a smile came to her lips at the thought of her companion. She looked around again, where is everyone?

((I hope you don't mind if I join in on this))
Skath walking past a large deserted shinra building in the heart of midgar he hears a scream come from inside. Skath looks at the building from under his cloak with a curious glance. He moves toward the buildings entrance thinking to find a young girl being cornered by monsters. But instead he sees a woman leaning against a wall looking away from him Skath quickly and silently behind some ruble and vanishes. From his secluded hiding place he wonders why this woman had screamed.

ooc//Not at all. ^.^
“Stupid memories…” she whispered, looking down as she pushed herself off the wall, her cerulean eyes scanned the area. She could see the building as it had once been, confirming that she had indeed been here before. A sigh left her lips, she had no idea where she was going or what she should be looking for. Calamity looked at the rubble, she though she’d heard something but seemingly not, she dismissed this thought from her head and sighed as she crossed her arms over her chest.
If I was a Turk, why aren’t I now? Or am? piecing together her memories was proving hard than she thought it was going to be. She sighed as she shook her head then looked down at the ground.
“My head hurts,” Calamity gently rubbed her temple, trying to ease the surging pain that was coursing through her as she fell to her knees.
*Flashback*
“Hey little lady, what’re you doing sitting out here by yourself?” blue hair blew around her face as she turned to look at who’d spoken to her.
“Just…thinking…” she whispered, looking down at the ground. “Do you...know why my father sent me here to train with you?” the guy shook his head.
Laying his hand on her shoulder as he smiled down at her. “No but if he hadn’t then I wouldn’t have my pretty lady friend, would I?” Calamity merely giggled and shook her head.
*Flashback End*
Calamity slowly started to breath normally, calming her racing heart beat. “I…I hand friends,” she whispered, her hand clutched her heart, it felt as if her heart was being yanked out then put back in again with every person she seen and longed to remember.

Skath watches the woman seem to be waging a mental war against something inside her head Skaths head tilts slightly when he hears her say stupid memory's. He thinks to himself "what a strange thing to say". When she scans the area Skath dose not dare move for fear that the motion would draw her attention. As she says I had friends. To Skath this was a very strange statement so he wait to see if he can leave this place it seems to take others memory so skath wants to leave and soon but he cant let her see him so he waits.

The soft flutter of wings from within the hollow building's shell signaled the arrival of what someone might have mistaken for a monster at first glance. The hybrid glanced nervously about the skeletal interior of the once proud building. He hated this place; it gave him the creeps, as well as reminding him about what he'd been through in this very location. Needles, knives, wires... and more. The thought of them made him cringe inside. Now wasn't the time to be dwelling on his past, so Kaibutsu continued on his way.
The dragonic hybrid landed with a soft 'clink' as his bare feet touched the cold metal. Eyeing a familiar feminine silhouette, he trotted up to Calamity. "Hey..." he called softly, not wanting to startle her, "Any luck, finding your memories, I mean." Though he said nothing, Kaibutsu was searching for something, too, though not at all similar to lost memories, but precious to him all the same. He was searching for his weapon which was long lost since his arrest. Occasionally, his eyes would flicker over his surroundings in hopes that its obsidian shape would catch his eye.
"This place always freaks me out," the mutated boy muttered under his breath. He failed to notice Skath, who was apparently was hidden quite well (few and far between were able to stay hidden from Kaibutsu.) He did, however feel as though there was another presence around somewhere, though he couldn't tell what or where. He frowned, maybe it was just him, but it wouldn't hurt to ask. "Umm..." he started, "Does it seem like there's someone else around? Or is that just me?" He asked, scratching the back of his head, a humorously confused look on his face. Maybe it was a ghost? A ghost?! Oh my god! Kaibutsu's stomach flipped at his illogical conclusion.

The sound of wings caught the attention of Calamity a smirk formed on her lips. “Hello Kai,” she smiled sweetly at him as she clasped her hands before her. “I think…I think I am…was a Turk,” I keep on seeing me with Turks and my attire is the same as theirs…” she looked at Kai with saddened eyes. She didn’t know if she was still a Turk or not and that infuriated the young woman more than anything, thinking like that always annoyed her.
Calamity gently hugged Kai in a comforting manor. “Don’t worry, I wouldn’t let anything happen to you,” she said with a smile. Her eyes shifted away from him. “Yes, indeed it does seem like there is someone watching us.” She looked straight at Skath, walking with gracefully towards him, her feet barely touched the ground as she walked. “Hello there, I’m Calamity Valentine.” She smiled sweetly at him. “Is there something about me that makes people hide from me? You did it Kai and now he is, am I scary or something?” she asked with sad eyes as she looked back at Kai.
“We haven’t met before have we? I just want to check encase I’ve met you before and don’t remember…” she asked the guy who’d been hiding from her.

Skath looks up at the figure that comes down from the sky his eyes narrow and he thinks "I don't like it when others can fly its difficult to fight". Skath contentious to listen to there conversion once he hears the statement that there is some one watching Skath pulls back to the base of the ruble and crawls through to a different angle. When the woman walks over and talks to the place he was once at he smiles. When he hears the am I scary statement Skath cant help but laugh at this after this Skath stands and says "Hardly Calamity was it?". "If anything you would be scared of me" Skath lifts the low hung cloak hood to show his reptilian head.

Calamity glanced over at him, “Yeah, it’s Calamity.” Her hair fell to cover her face as she watched him then looked over at Kai, he’d hidden when they first met too. It just showed how closed minded people were. Admittedly Calamity was a very open minded person. “What is it that I’m supposed to be scared of?” Kicking off the rubble, Calamity landed next to Kai again. Her cerulean eyes moved to Kai as she watched him, there was no denying the fact that the memory-less young woman was proactive of him. She tell that he was younger than she was and because of that she’d taken it upon herself to protect him.
“See now I feel like the boring one…” she said as she bowed her head. Kai had wings and this stranger had a reptilian head and she was well…Very boring. Such a depressing thought for the individual who valued uniqueness. Calamity brushed her hair away from her face as her eyes shifted between the two. “Are you injured at all?” she asked in her usual gentle voice.
She froze suddenly, her sais slipped into her hands, the blades ran along her arms. “Kai, I need you to move out of the way,” she smiled sweetly at him then leapt backwards to avoid being hit by a guard hound. She flipped herself forward, stabbing her sais into it’s back as it lunged at her again, she landed behind it then looked over her shoulder as it fell. “I think it didn’t like me,” she crossed her arms over her chest and sighed before walking over to where her sais now lay. She picked then up and put them away.
“What are you looking for Kai?” she asked softly as she glanced at her companion, smiling sweetly.

A Turk, she says? They worked for ShinRa! Kaibutsu felt a small twinge of panic form in his chest, though he quickly killed it off. Even if she was still a Turk, she wouldn't bring him back... right? His luminescent eyes were forcibly brightened in an odd attempt to cheer up his one and only friend, but alas no comforting words could be said.
The dragon-boy's eyes widened and a pleased smile crawled across his face at Calamity's warm embrace. He felt safe in her arms, despite living in a world that seemed bent on his demise. Oh? so she felt a presence, too? Maybe he wasn't crazy, well... in that way, anyways. He turned to where the stranger was hidden, his curiosity quite peaked. So, there was a hooded figure watching them and-- Oh my God! With a yelp of surprise, Kaibutsu stumbled back, tripping over his own tail in his shock. The dude had a lizard head?
One would think that because he himself was a freak, he would be completely desensitized to the being before him. As freakish as he may seem, the monster was still little more than a teenager.
"You're not boring, Calamity," Kaibutsu replied as he picked himself off the ground and rubbed the sore spot where he had hit his head on the floor, "If what you say is boring, then I wish a thousand times over that I was boring." Kaibutsu wasn't able to stay on two feet for very long. Instinctively, he pressed himself to the ground as the guard hound flew just above his head. Stupid, Annoying beasts! Kaibutsu muttered under his breath as he watched it be slaughtered from the ground.
Was it safe to get up yet? The hybrid decided to take his chances, and wobbled to his feet once again. "I was looking for my old scythe. I lost it when they put me in the shrink." he admitted and scratched the back of his head, thoroughly embarrassed. "There aren't any more of those monsters around, are there?" he asked nervously. It wasn't the monsters themselves that worried him, but the rush of battle. It was more likely that he would become wild in such conditions, so he wanted to avoid them best he could.
He turned his attention back to lizard-man. "Umm, if you don't mind my asking, what are you doing out here? Surely not for sight-seeing? Oh! I'm Kai! Nice ta meet cha'!"

Skath chuckles "well most humans are...well scared of my beastly heritage". "Me injured no I am not". Skath looks of at the other guy just in time to see him stumble around like a scared hatching. Skath points at Kai as he is stumbling around and says "that's how most humans react". Skath crouches in a battle ready stance even before the dog shows up. After the beast is dead Skath looks over at this Kai person "I was really just passing through what had brought me in here was her screaming" motions at Calamity. "And to get introductions out of the way my name is Skath"

Being as naturally observant as she was, Calamity was quick to pick up on the panic and knew it would have something to do with the chance that she may have been or still could be a Turk. She knew every little of her companion but knew enough to know that he had not always been as he way, if he had then the chances were that he wouldn’t of had the warm heart that Calamity knew he had. Was it the Turks who were behind what happened to him, she would be sure to ask him later about it, the answer made no difference, she would protect and defend him ‘til the end.
Calamity had already figured out that Kai didn’t mind her hugging him so she didn’t hold back when it came to hugging him, that was something she’d learnt about herself, she liked to give out hugs…Unfortunately for the young women she’d been looking away from Kai so it wasn’t surprising that she jumped and quickly turned to look at Kai, she couldn’t help but still at him, she shook her head slightly but smiled all the while, she understood why her younger companion had acted in such a surprised manor.
“Luckily for us both I’m not like most people, it’s one of the few things I can claim,” Calamity smiled then looked at Kai and couldn’t help but roll her eyes. “Kai, my dearest, you have a highly unique personality as well as unique looks and it makes you highly interesting to be around, that’s why I enjoy your company so much. I have no interesting features since I highly doubt that being memory-less as interesting.” She looked back over at Skath and merely smiled. “He is young, it’s understandable, but he has a wonderful chance once you get to know him, I would think that you two get alone very well.”
“I’ll help you find your weapon Kai,” she said with a smile, “and no, I don’t believe there is but if I’m wrong I’ll protect you.” She would never allow any harm to come to him and she dared someone to try and see how long they lived. Not very long. Calamity was highly protective of Kai, anyone could see that.
“Sorry about that…regaining memories is somewhat painful for me…”

((Sorry about the wait I was waiting for Kai to post. So what are we going to do now))
"Well some things hurt as they grow like my first hunting teeth and claws" Skath walks down the pile of ruble that he was standing on. once he reaches the bottom he removes the clip holding the cloak in place skath just lets it fall to the floor. "Now whats this about a weapon"

"Uh... sorry..." Kaibutsu muttered, his pale cheeks turning hot with embarrassment. He now felt shame for his rude greeting, for he had reacted in fear, the very same thing that acted as a wall between him and society. Damn, the bump on his head was probably going to leave a knot. He growled, quite annoyed with himself for being so compulsive.
With the danger out of the way, and the possibility of a battle lowered, he was able to relax. "I'm glad," he sighed, "But don't think I'm scared of fighting." He was by no means in inexperienced fighter. How much blood had been spilled by his hands? That was something the innocent killer had lost count of after the twentieth kill or so. Kaibutsu was quite pleased to hear that he would not be looking for his beloved old scythe, Morgrim, on his own. He would probably never find it if that's the case.
"Great!" he cried. "You'll know it when you see it." Indeed, the large black scythe, with it's beast like teeth and green, geometrical markings, was hard to miss. His chartreuse gaze flickered over to Skath as his voice met his ears. "I lost my weapon. If you see a big, black scythe, tell me." he replied. He would prefer not to go into detail on how he lost it, just as he didn't like to go into detail about anything having to do with his screwed up hell of a past.

Images flashed before her eyes, something about this place set off memories in the back of her mind. Calamity looked at the rubble, she could remember how this place once looked. Her eyes flickered closed as a memory came to mind, her mind thought to block out the memory, trying to defend her body from the onslaught of pain that would follow. Her eyes slowly opened, the room was different when she opened her eyes. Calamity knew this place, it was part of her earlier memories, the ones she needed to unlock. If I get those ones back then I’ll know who I am and who my parents were and why my life doesn’t make sense. As if she were in a trance she walked away from Skath and Kai.
Calamity stopped suddenly, her eyes moved to the ground. In an instant she was on the ground in pain, refusing to let the scream that desperately wanted to escape her lips out.
*Flashback*
“You disrespectful little wench! You will listen to me and you will listen well!” Caleb picked his 11 year old daughter up by the throat, her delicate hands tried to pry the strong hands of her father away from her throat but she couldn’t. “You will do as I say and will show me the respect I deserve.”
The blue-ish black haired girl was dropped to the floor, her hair hid her bruised cheek. A soft sobbing left the young girls lips, the pain was almost unbearable for her. She whimpered in pain as her father dealt a devastating kick to her side.
“Are you listening to me brat?”
“Y-y-yes f-f-f-father…” the girl stuttered as she looked up at him with tear stained eyes, filled with hate, rage and pain. “W-w-why? Why can’t you just be proud of me!? WHY CAN’T YOU LOVE ME!” the young Calamity screamed at her father.
A strong hand gripped the girls hair, pulling her head back. “I will never love you, just as I never loved your mother! I will never be proud of you for you are the spawn of her!”
*Flashback End*
Calamity pushed herself to her knees as tears ran down her pale cheeks, her hand moved to her mouth to try and silence her crying. Pain coursed through her once more as another memory came to her from the darkness that was her memories.
*Flashback*
“Mother! Look out!” She was too late.
Her fathers weapon had already hit its mark of her mothers abdomen. Before the beautiful woman’s body could hit the floor, she was caught in the arms of her 18 year old daughter. Tears welled in the daughters eyes as she stroked her mothers hair, whispering anything the teenager could think of to try and ease her mothers pain.
“It’ll be alright mother, I promise…just stay will me. Don’t leave me alone again, please.”
“I’m sorry Calamity, I promised I would never leave you alone again…I’m sorry I couldn’t protect you Calamity, I’m sorry that you were alone. There was always something dark and beautiful within you but I know that isn’t you….I…hope that….you know that too…” With those final words Thorn died in her daughters arms.
*Flashback End*
Tears streamed down her face as her body trembled violently. For the first time Calamity found herself unable to steady her breathing or stop the shaking. She couldn’t erase the images of her mother dying in her arms.

Skath watches Calamity walk away in a trance once she stumbles to the ground Skath thrusts his arm in the pile of ruble and pulls out a broadsword in a leather sheath. He scans the area for any sign of more hostel creatures. Skath looks down the hall on the other side of Kai "Kai I hope you are a good fighter something is coming". Skath grabs the hilt of his broadsword and pulls it out "A good hunt is always nice".
