It wasn’t needed for Calamity to glance at Kadaj to tell he’d been shocked by her embrace, he’d tensed though not noticeably. In a comforting gesture, Calamity stroked his hair with only the tips of her delicate fingers. She slowly stopped stroking his hair and merely rested her hand on his shoulder as if they were dancers that was the impression that the light placement of her hand would give. She knew who Kadaj was now so the fact that he’d allowed her to hug him shocked her slightly.
It was her time to be shocked. She hadn’t expected him to hug her back but at the same time, was glad he hadn’t rejected the offered hug. When she felt him return the embrace however she melted, she couldn’t explain it. His breathing was starting to regulate again, showing that he wasn’t crying anymore much to her delight. Her breath caught in her throat at his words, he was the first person to actually tell her that he cared about her. She cuddled into his slightly, burying her head into his shoulder slightly before stepping back from him.
“Yes, this place is full of memories for me too, I stayed here before meteor fall,” she said softly. Calamity looked around then sighed. “I murdered my father here, he went to attack me but I moved first,” she whispered. “I wouldn’t let him do what he did to my mother to me. I’d been harmed by too many people to stand it anymore.” Calamity looked over at him then smiled, stroking his hand gently with her fingers before clasping them in front of her.
