Cal grinned at her as he knocked on Raistlin's door. They stood in front of a large, crooked-standing house that seemed to have a victorian elegance along with a ominous architecture. Much to his surprise, the narrow house's door opened. "I expected you," said a voice from deep in the dark room. "Come in, come in... now where's that switch."
After a few seconds of rustling and clanging, the light flooded a cluttered room with books, papers, and strange artifacts of all kinds, whilst a short, balding old man with a large nose, an oversized robe, and spectacles stared at them from atop a stack of books on history and philosophy. "I would have rather you stop buy to say hello much more often Cal," said the balding old man, "my old frame doesn't quite allow me to go out and experience your exploits firsthand."
The old man's attention was drawn soon enough to the beautiful woman next to Cal. "Ahhh.... the infamous Damani. I must say, your reputation precedes you. Now, although I may seem absolutely all-knowing, why the hell are you at my house?"
Cal grinned. Crazy old coot. "Well, we came here to help Dezzy, since she's having problems in her new body. Also, I just felt like stopping by." Raistlin stared at Cal, his large bushy eyebrows intensifying his glare. For such an old guy, he really could stare you down.
"Fine. Now, will a basic algorithm fix this pretentious problem with a potion, or shal I work with the instinctual reflexes pertaining to natural affinities? Bah... it doesn't quite matter..." Raistlin hopped off of the stack of books and walked over to dezzy. Taking her hand (which looked quite comical considering his three-and-a-half foot height) Raistlin said "the problem is your channeling. Really, it's quite simple, you'll just need to practice control. Now, as far as a new sword for you until you get a better one... that can be arranged only through Cal. I advise you, good sir, to keep your promises to yourself, but I will only do a favor for this wonderful young lass," he then kisses her hand, "only because it is part of her purpose to help you save the planet...... Again."
Cal looked at him, hiding his happiness. At last, things are working out for once.

Dezzy had to stop herself from giggling at the old man. He certainly was crazy, but at the same time she figured she could become good friends with him. She had had many crazy friends in the past, and this wouldn't be anything new. "I'm sorry, sir, but I understood very little of what you just said," she told him with a smile. She sort of simplified it for herself. "So I just have to practice controlling my powers?"
She sighed. "I don't have a lot of time, I have to go find my mentor, Alex," she said quietly. "He's supposed to teach me more about my powers and different types of magic."

"Ahh... good ol' alex. The ancient one..." the old man was lost in thought. Cal was, in the mean time, fiddling with some strange contraption which looked like an hourlass connected to some sort of telescope.
"Well, I can teach you all you need to know about magic," Raistlin summoned a small ord of energy, which floated behind Cal and began to electrocute him. Not painful, but enough to convince the man to quit fiddling. "Dammit raistlin!"
"Anyay, the easiest way to utilize simple magic is to focus with your mind. There are many types of magic. Balck magic, like what i just used, which is primarily elemental. White magic, which is specifically used for healing, Blue magic, which is obtained from monsters, and Time magic, which can speed you up or slow opponents down. There are also subsidiary magics, like Red magic, which is a combination of both white and black magic, but not as strong as either individual form. The most potent, and most deadly, is summoning magic. This takes years of practice, and although many say only ancients can use this power, all you really need is a few days of meditating and speaking to the planet to obtain a summon."
Raistlin took a long breath before he continued. "Now, your first lesson is going to be your hardest since you can't control your power very well." Raistlin grabbed her hand and led her down the stairs, with Cal trailing behind her. "Now, this room," said the old man, "is impervious to any sort of damage. You can even summin in this room without fear of destroying anything." Raistlin opened the door, revealing a huge subterranean room, which looked bigger than the ShinRa HQ. "This room is actually an alternate dimension, which I connected through a portal to the doorway. No matter how strong you are, you cannot destroy anything, but do NOT destroy the door, lest you want to be trapped here. Inside, there is a small house stocked full of supplies, so you can train in here for months if need be. Don't worry about Alex, you will see him soon enough, and you'll get a fancy sword to boot. Anyway, the first lesson: I want you to practice summoning forth a small ball of fire and controlling it with your mind. Once you can get that ball of energy to become small enough for you to control, and you can move it mentally, i'll begin teaching you new forms of magic, and better ways to control it. If you need me, i'll be cooking us dinner." With that, raistlin went to the kitchen, leaving Cal and Dezzy standing alone in the biggest room possibly imaginable. It even had it's own sky!
"Smart old geezer, isn't he?" Said Cal as he lit a cigarette.

Damani sighed. "Not if he thinks he can somehow get a lightning elemental to summon a fireball," her eyes held amusement though. She had read in the book that people with a certain element of blood magic could learn other elements through time and concentration. She wanted to attempt it after she found Alex. There was a gleam in her eyes as she held her hand palm-upward in front of her, concentration. She couldn’t summon fire yet, but she would do the element that was natural to her blood. The lightning came easily, almost as if it flowed naturally through her body. The only problem was keeping the lightning contained in a ball. It was harder than controlling fire.
Each element had it's advantages and disadvantages; Fire was easy to control, but at time unpredictable and very dangerous if abused; water was a little harder to control because of its nature, but it was a very powerful element that if used right could carve tunnels through even the hardest rock; wind was even more unpredictable and had few uses when in a battle with fire; and lightning was very hard to control, it's main goal to be discharged into something that would bring it to the ground, but could destroy many things. She took a deep breath, staring at what seemed more like a blob with strings than a ball. She pictured what a ball should look like and tried shifting some of the energy. The lightning began to spin and soon looked like a perfect sphere of light with a few stray bolts wandering every now and then. She let out a breath she hadn’t known she had been holding, trying to take back a little of the power to make it smaller. The ball released back into its normal form. She glared at it, throwing it at the ground in anger.

"Ahh... I remember this part of the training," said Cal. "Back when I first awoke, my powers were significantly harder to control. Even though I could use every element at the time," Cal began to remember how many days it took to gain control, "I spent nearly two months in here. You'll have this done in three days or less, most likely. I'm going to go out farther and train. Let me know how much you progress."
Cal ran out to the empty field and began to train heavily. First, he began by stretching, then conditioning with exercises such as one finger push-ups and crunches. First, he would push himself to the limit physically, then stretch his mental strength with meditation. Cal began to use every single combat maneuver in the book, swinging his blade and its chain with perfect grace. After every set of ten moves, he'd finish the combo off with a special attack. The first set ended with a huge fireball that turned into a dragon and exploded, while the next was a series of glowing orbs which formed a perfect surrounding of his imaginary opponent then exploded on impact. Once he was done, he'd meditate until dinner. He needed to be stronger. He was the only one who could defeat Pryme if all else failed. He wouldn't let another nut-job have a go at the planet again. It was people like that who ruined his life and everyone else's.

Damani sighed, sitting on the ground and concentrating on her Holy magic. It was much easier to control and within a few minutes she had a small ball swirling around in her hand. She grinned adding a little electricity to it, cringing as the small ball imploded. (Note to self: do not mix Holy with Lightning...) she thought to herself, trying to control her lightning element again.

((OOC: LOL. Experimenting is fun. Yepyep, i feel you on the sick part. Spicy foods always clear the sinuses tho))
Cal continued to train vigorously, pulling off every move he could think of. Timed explosions, the uses of energy to propel oneself farther, and even a few special techniques like haste and curses. He had truly mastered the method of infusing magic into his sword. Now, it was time for meditation.
Stripping down into nothing but his pants, Cal walked out 20 yards farther out, as to avoid the destruction of his clothes (he only had one pair). For an hour, Cal meditated, and about 45 minutes in, he began floating, and balls of elemental and psychic energy began surrounding him. At this point, he began to shape it with his mind, visualizing many different things. He made many different shapes and objects over the course of a few minutes, and finally, made a copy of himself. At his point, Cal bowed to himself, and then engaged in hand-to-hand combat with his copy. After he had beaten himself (barely), Raistlin opened the door to his house.
"DINNER!!!!!!!!!!!!!" shouted the old man. Cal's stomach growled in response.

Dezzy startled out of her concentrated state and the ball in her hand imploded again. She looked at her hand sadly. It was slightly sore from the pressure of the imploding, but she was determined to find a way to mix her holy magic with her thunder magic. She let out a small sigh and stood up from her sitting position and stretched. She had been sitting for hours, and she hadn't even realized it. She had almost succeeded in mixing her two elements together, but she had to do it in equal proportions and had to not let it get more than an inch in diameter otherwise it would implode automatically. She found her holy magic much easier to control than her lightning. She twisted her neck slightly, listening to it pop with stiffness.
She didn't feel hungry, but she knew she needed to eat to keep her strength up; the days travel, events and usage of too much power was starting to wear down on her. She was ready to lay down and sleep for a good twelve hours. She stood, waiting for Cal to come back in.
((OOC: I can't eat spicy foods, I get sick from them. I have a ridiculusly sensitive stomach.))

"Ahh.... I smell good food, old man!" Shouted cal, practically kicking down the door as he entered. Much to his surprise, everyone was already at the table.
"Don't forget your manners, Cal," said Raistlin in a grand-fatherly tone, "after all, we have a beautiful woman as company."
"Bah," said Cal. "I forgot my manners long ago. All I smell is delicious grub, and my growling stomach is telling me to stuff it."
Raistlin looked at him sourly. "If you want to eat, you'll sit down and act nicely... otherwise, go eat dirt."
Cal grinned, but as he walked towards his chair, he tripped over a loose floorboard (which Raistlin probably loosened on purpose) and fell flat on his face. Getting up, he noticed that Raistlin was cackling. "........."
Cal took his seat and waited to be served. There was a gigantic pot of delicious stew sitting in the middle of the table. It was often said by any who knew Raistlin well (few did) that his food could fill you for days. Actually, it could, as he cooked with magic, and his food was so delicious that you couldn't help but have seconds. Of course, Raistlin was the reason Cal could eat nearly anyone out of house and home, since he became so use to being filled on magical food.
"Ahhh... so what'dya make?" implored Cal.
"Find out. You know i never tell." And with that, Raistlin filled the hungry man's bowl with a delectable stew of some sort, which Cal greedily devoured.
((OOC: So, where do you live?))

Dezzy ignored Cal's apparent lack of manners; she had seen much worse working as a waitress years ago. She chuckled lightly, accepting some stew and eating it at a slow pace. She sighed softly, missing the days of her cooking experiments. She liked cooking, and was fairly decent at it after failing a few times on any new recipie.
She zoned out as she ate, her mind wandering into the depths of her memory. It was a sign of how tired she was that she did this. Yes, she often remembered things from her former life, but rarely did she dwell on them for any reason. She remembered few things particularly clearly, and the things she did she often wished were blurry.

"You know, I can't remember my past much, either. Just relax, and don't think too loud..." Said Cal, staring at his food. "In spite of being psychic, I can't remember much of my past either. And believe me, some of what I do remember is better left off in nightmares. Anyway," daid Cal, finishing his seventh plate of stew, "I'm going to go train some more. See you all tomorrow."
Cal casually walked back into the training room to wear himself to his breaking point. It'd be the only way to truly grow in strength, and he knew it.
"Don't mind him. He reads minds without trying," said Raistlin. "He still hasn't been able to completely control his psychic abilities, and oftentimes he feels he needs to say something. He doesn't mean to offend. Believe me, that man has been through more than anyone would care to imagine, and he's been both good and evil. I can only hope he continues down his current path, and stops Pryme before it's too late. Anyway, would you like more stew?"

Damani shook her head politely. "No thank you," she replied with a slight smile. "I have some experimenting I want to do with my magic. I think I might have come up with something useful while trying to control my magic."
She stood up and stretched. She steadied herself on her chair and the table, a bit lightheaded from all her power usage. "Or not," she sat back down resting her head on the kitchen table and waited for the dizzy spell to break.

"Here you go, dearest" said the short old man (so small he stood ON the table) "stick this in your mouth. This blue leaf replenishes both magical and mental energies. It will also give you a great physical boost, just in case you feel the need for more training. Although, I wouldn't suggest keeping up with Cal. He may not be as strong as you, but his endurance is completely different from a human's. Last time he was here, he lived in that room. Quite a shame he lost his powers..." Raistlin seemed to drift off into though as he stared into the stew. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
Cal began to push himself past his physical limits again. His blood was pumping harder, his mind was losing focus, and his body felt beyond weak. He felt like a dead man on his feet. Regardless, he wouldn't quit now. He continued to train, using his powers and innovatively thinking of new attacks and new ways to use his psionics. That was the worst strain... using so much psychic power was having its toll on him. He had a massive headache, but as if to exemplify the battle with his body Cal struggled to contain the ball of four elements within a psycho-kinetic orb. Granted, the mix of magic and psionics was dangerous, and had explosive results.
"just a few.... more... s-seconds...." the strain turned out to be too much. An explosion which seemed to have the same outcome as a full ton of C4 (that's a BIIIIG explosion) launched call a hundred feet in the air. Soon, he came crashing down.....

Damani sighed, swallowing the blue leaf. "Yeah. I might not be fully human, but my endurance isn't that much more than a normal human. Of course it doesn't help that my magic seems to take up a lot of energy... I'm better off in a sword fight," she said, mostly to herself. She stretched slightly, her spine popping back into place from sitting so long. "I need to keep training though, so that I can go help Alex. Besides, if I get a head start on my training, that's less for him to do!"

Cal couldn't move. He felt like he was dying, and full body paralysis was never fun.
"Damn. Guess I'll just sleep for a while..."
Raistlin giggled. "You have just as much determination and potential as Cal does. That's a good thing, considering..." Raistlin faked a fall and buried his face in her bosom...
