What Do You Like/Dislike About Roleplaying?

I'm curious to know, this could also help future RPs maybe :3

Here's some of mine...

Like; Sensible threads that have a replying order, seeing jokes being made in threads, funny reactions, deep conversations, interesting plots, seeing sides of characters that I never thought of seeing.

Dislike; Being ignored, being left out of a posting order, someone copying my or other's ideas, those who try to take over threads that were not made by them, depressing threads, making spelling errors O:

Like: The thread to have depth, and a plotline of sorts. S'gotta be interesting, and fun to reply to. People that write alot, but don't go on about pointless things :L

Dislike: Loads of people, I hateit when you have like six or seven people to one thread, it frustrates me. When you have a big group, and one person doesn't reply, stopping the whole thing. MARY-SUE'S. People that write like, one line, and expect people to work with that. People that take over a plotline, or stop it from progressing.

I could go on for hours :L

Like: Plots that lead to character developement, character angst/drama, character romance, character injuries. I'm really big on characters that can get injured, a lot of people walk around a battlefield without getting so much as a scratch.

Ooh, and long, well-developed posts that respond to everything that has happened in the posts of others.

Dislike: Mary/Gary Sue, godmodders, short posts, etc... the usual.

Likes: Engaging stories or plots, Strong Characters created with an ideal and are enjoyed both playing as or with, Finding Team members that are of different spectrums and add season to the game, Scenarios that make you have to think tactfully (either in combat, exploration, or relationship), Details much like Zack mentioned.. without them it is like attempting to traverse a room made of marshmallow. Fellow players that critique I am alway up for ideas on how to improve my sessions or characters..

Dislikes: Characters without flaws (never understood this concept), Gross Immaturity as in people that do not get their way and regress to a 5 year old, or people that make a RP session into a dating game / harlequin love novel ( understood if it where your character fall to, but not if it is all the session is about), As Kyrie mention ignorance is a horrid trait in an RP session and personally I will not tolerate it being done to me or another of my fellow members, Serious lack of imagination (if you suffer from this dibilitating epdemic then ask yourself one question.. "why did I join a Role Play forum?" then be merciful and do the right thing.)
