It was the season of winter it all began, the tremors, it had been rumoured that it was something to do with the Planet rejecting humanity and all life for that matter, a dangerous idea for some and others a truth that they never wanted to admit. It didn’t take long for the people surrounding and under the territories of the Shinra Corporation to rise up in civil war and riots all across the continent, skirmishes broke out between Shinra personnel and civilian by-standards who believed that it was Shinra Inc, no, Rufus Shinra himself that was to blame for this. An outburst of plague that festered in the first Geostigma crossed and famished the lands of much needed resources and supplies for the skirmish efforts.
SOLDIER was called into action to help quell these risen people whose fierce passions for Shinra’s downfall burnt in their hearts, but to no avail the many situations that continued to spread only got worse and some SOLDIER units were either killed or badly damaged. Even the 1st class SOLDIERS had to pull back due to the overwhelming numbers of people that quickly turned into soldiers over the period of a few months, such a drastic change of events caused Rufus himself to organise parties to find out why these occurrences of tremors came to pass in the first place and who the antagonist was. It didn’t take long to see that this certain person-s were highly trained in the arts of keeping hidden both physically, virtually and even in sixth senses.
A plan was hatched by Shinra and a few of the board members to dig into the planets crush and instead tackle this situation directly, an investigation team of experienced, paid excivationests went down deep into the inner sanctum of the planet’s crust, what they discovered was something unnatural all together, something that truck fear into both board and SOLDIER member of the Shinra corporation. It was then the company had two choices, either to destroy and dissolve the uprising that slowly approached Shinra’s gates or to contact this unknown entity that had been frozen in time under the Planet’s face.
Men and women all around the continent was called to Shinra in hopes to aid them in a time of need, it is here you help, either by personnel reasons or to just get paid, maybe it’s an adventure for you or something to discover o protect, whatever the reason. Rufus Shinra awaits you.

Elstan really didn't want to help ShinRa, but hey they did pay her good enough money to be rid of any unwanted pests. She crawled out of bed and opened the curtains. Snow was falling. "Great..." Elstan mumbled, and went to her dresser. She looked in the mirror and her hair was all over the place. She fixed it slowly and dressed in her usual, moss green leather attire. Once she had, had something to eat and such she left her home in downtown Midgar and walked to HQ.
The silver haired woman looked rather bored as she walked through the busy streets. Elstan was confused as to why she wasn't affected by Geostigma. Was it because she was a part of Sephiroth? She shook her head to release herself of such thoughts. The demon that lurked withing her, had been restless these past few days, always wanting to come out, when Elstan wanted it to stay locked within her body. Elstan was a strong girl, but there were days where the beast just overpowered her, cauing her to become violently ill. She looked at the scar on her right hand, but then covered it back up. She got to HQ and looked at it. Sure was run down these days.
As Elstan entered, the chatter within the building ceased. She looked around through her mako, cat like eyes. Just because she was Sephiroth's 'sister' didn't mean she was like him. She got in the elevator, and pressed the button for Rufus's floor. As the lift went up, she leant against the back of it, legs crossed, arms folded, eyes shut and head down. The stupid music was all Elstan could hear. The elevator binged and the doors slid open. She pushed herself off the wall and exited.
She didn't care if she had shown up without an invitation, Elstan knew there was something going on, and the restlessness of her demon proved it. She banged on the President's office door. "ShinRa, open up, its Elstan. I think there's something you should know." She said, loud enough so she could be heard through the door. However, Elstan was impatient and cracked the security code to Rufus's office within seconds and entered. "Sorry to turn up unannounced." She smiled, a smiled wickedly similar to the Nightmare's. She stood there, one hand on her slender hip, her eyes piercing into his.

It had been a while since Shinra called a meeting of this magnitude to fit within his own personal level, almost no one entered accept those who have been given ‘Special’ permission or are assigned as Rufus’ body guards. Something that is not underestimated and from the level of training they have been given the names as Turks for a reason and strike absolution into the foes of Shinra to beg for forgiveness, even before the very end, such a manor maybe dark in the eyes of humanity but with law must come order and Rufus’ order was that of brutality and murder with privy emotions that never obstructed his vision to rule over the planet with an iron fist and the will to show who holds the power, influence and inevitably the one who sends forth his punishers to remind the ‘Little’ people who is in charge.
The office was dark as always with many computer screens on the left and right hand sides, a massive log cyber connective computer showed much classified information as it glided down the screen to show the many names and candidates that have been asked to see him on his floor. An entry not so easily given and if forced, will be met with severe punishment no matter how high up in the food chain you are. The young blonde male sat in the dark within the confines of his comfortable black chair, his right hand pressed against the side of his cheek as his left pressed against a pencil-like object, running through the names on the computer screen. His eyes glanced lazily across the screen as the names, dates of birth, personal information, history and other such details were scanned through to the ones that have been chosen to go on this expedition.
The large office could be mistaken for a hallway instead, still in its popularity and glory of Shinra Inc. Rufus sat on the far side of the large room that was encompassed with a fine, sturdy material of polished marble and metallic plating underneath, every step that was taken sounded like the clanks of a laboratory floor, a prospect Rufus found quiet amusing to new guests that entered his private space. The sounds of running machinery chimed happily whilst the life stream energizes through the many pipes, valves and mainstream of the facility that allowed invaluable energy to grease through, this energy lit up the window in front of him with a dark green effect that crossed the night skies. A desk stood proudly in the middle of the room followed by comfortable, leather seated chairs that were suitable to sleep in but was not advised whilst Rufus’ explanation on the situation would detail why the group would be called here.
It was only a matter of time before the red alert rang through a small buzzer on Rufus’ right arm chair due to a system being hacked “Ahh, the weak link in the chain...” He didn’t underestimate the possibility that an uninvited guest would arrive and for reasons unknown, this vexed Rufus a lot and not a kindness in his own heart would allow this little pathetic excuse of a 1st class SOLDIER be let off with a mere warning, rules were placed down for a reason and yet she freely breaks them and not face the consequences, a mistake that would be rectified very quickly and easily.
The front door suddenly whooshed open with form of a female standing in the doorway, her hand on her hip with those annoying feline eyes attempting to waver his own sight that turned to her appearance, a sigh was released from Rufus’ lips as he shook his head from side to side and a dipped head that showed the tiredness of such folly, that some insects could not see a boot lofting on top of them before being viciously squished. “An unwanted SOLDIER turns up at my doors, unannounced, uninvited and without permission, you hack my security, shout just outside my doors with a childish tone and now you have the gall to stand there and look at me with those eyes....” Shinra’s tone was of dread and malice one that even a SOLDIER had learnt to fear over the many years, a tone that the SOLDIER General came to respect and acknowledge at such times. Even if he never shared the abilities of a SOLDIER, Rufus had personnel that could.
Shinra’s own vocal tone was enough to instigate a order of respect, fear and awe-shocking leadership in the worst ways of being ‘Told off’ “You will wait, until you are addressed, you will learn respect or I will personally make sure you suffer you silly little girl!” His voice growing more harsh and violent by the statement as he continued, the breathing in the room had quickened by his sheer aura and magnitude of what command can bring, even at the cost of a being physical capabilities “I don’t have time for your nonsense, you will go back outside and wait for me to ask you back in!” Rufus’ hands grasped a bar that stood strong as his chair had turned for him to stand on a minor upper level of the office “Am I clear?!” Those in the room knew that Rufus was not joking about this matter and a lesson in order was needed.
Shinra’s eyes slowly came off the now vulnerably insulted Elstan and drifted to yet another man that thought it was a good idea to sit in a chair without asking “Need I repeat myself?” his voice projected to the male in a dare for him to even think of getting comfortable, his voice echoed around the room to the both of them, making them remember who they stood before.

Elstan's hand slid off her hip and she folded her arms. "Now I know why big brother Sephiroth wants to kill you. Perhaps I should save him the trouble, and rid the world of a spoilt brat like you." She hissed. "You're useless, and if you were a decent president you wouldn't have gotten us into this mess in the first place." The silver haired woman said.
She walked over to ShinRa and looked him in the eyes, her gaze emotionless. "Because of your pathetic company," she started, her hands on his desk and her face up close to his, "I lost the only man I ever loved! That's why I deserted your lame excuse for an army." Elstan whispered, her tone angry, but weirdly calm. She took out a throwing knife and slammed it inches away from ShinRa's hand. "You call me pathetic, just because of this demon that lurks within me? You must be stupider than you look, so the saying about blondes must be true... Cloud's the exception." She sighed.
She released her single, black feathered wing, but it was bat-like when her demon took over. "You will fall Rufus ShinRa, however of you want me to help you in your game, I want doubl, actually triple the pay you normally give me. Consider it protection, I will keep you safe from my older brother in return." The woman bargained. With that she left the room.
When she left, Elstan yelled out, and clutched her chest, falling to her knees. "No, I will not let you take me over." She hissed. Memories of Genesis flashed before her eyes, "Genesis..." She said. Her skin fell from her body, leaving bone behind, her eye sockets had a sinister red glow to them. A spinal designed Scythe appeared in her skeletal hands, and she was robed in black silk, a life timer tied around her waist. Her wing was now bat-like in appearance. "I warned you ShinRa." She said, her voice demonic. She wanted to be rid of this demon, but that wouldn't happen until JENOVA was completely destroyed.

ooc: This is set before Sephiroth goes insane, so Rufus Shin-ra; you have some extra protection coming your way. XD
bic:
There was always some trouble these days. An occasional disagreement within a city between a group of people, a crime syndicate to be rooted out, an unexpected plague of monsters... But nothing like this... He'd been among the first to hear of the tremors, he'd spoken to President Rufus Shin-ra himself about it all. Uprising had been predicted, and now those predictions were coming true. The residents of the city of Midgar were all... Well... On edge. Who could blame them? They had lived normal lives, unaffected by problems like this. And with those first few sudden tremors, their lives had crashed down around them. Doubt had already been brewing within the hearts of many, a belief that Shin-ra wasn't a "for the people" company as it claimed. And with these seemingly natural disasters occurring, those doubts had been inflamed and a spark had been born. The spark had caused the raging wildfire, and now Edge was sinking into a state of living hell. Other cities within Gaia were rapidly heading the same way.
The uprisings had reached a level were it was even unsafe for most Shin-ra personnel to travel on foot from one place to another. He had witnessed evidence of that first hand. He himself had been called to duty when SOLDIER had been set lose on the city to try and stem the tide. He'd watched the violence unfold, despite SOLDIER peacekeeping intents. It had only taken a few days of the elite traveling about and trying to calm the enraged citizens for blood to be shed. A massive battle had broken out when a small group of denizens had drawn arms on some members of SOLDIER. Of course, the SOLDIERs had emerged from the conflict completely unharmed; but had been forced to wound their foes to a point where they couldn't keep fighting.
That had been the spark. Citizens began to shout about Shin-ra having become completely corrupt; forgetting it had been some of their own who made the first move. Within a day, SOLDIER was called to withdraw in order to end more blood shed. Now, even the most well known and once loved SOLDIERs had to move about fully armed. With him, it was bit of a different story. Only the most gusty, or most stupid, of rebels dared raise weapons against him. And even then, he held back; preferring to knock them out with strong contact to the backs of their heads by the hilt of his signature weapon. He had been given orders not to kill anyway, and so he would obey. All in all, the admiration and respect everyone had given him before had been snuffed out. It wasn't bad at all... It was actually a rather nice change to have angry, hatred-filled eyes on him; rather than those soppy, doting looks. It was a bit of a relief, though he certainly wished it had been caused by different circumstances.
It had been a few hours since Rufus Shin-ra had sent out the request for help from the inflamed citizens; and it was about time he returned to meet with the President. So here he was, striding across the SOLDIER floor toward the elevator. Those who resided on this floor watched him every step of the way. He could feel their mako eyes burning into his back, he could almost taste the unrest in the air. They expected him to be able to stem this tide of war... He had been the sword to end wars before, so they had full faith that he could do it again. But they were wrong... Even he, with his unmatched skill with the masamune, couldn't settle this on his own; or he would have done so a long time ago. But he had done nothing to voice that fact. He had a feeling that if SOLDIER knew he was incapable of fixing this problem, that their moral would collapse. If their legendary SOLDIER General could do nothing, what hope was there of themselves being able to? And SOLDIERs with that attitude would become completely useless to Shin-ra. So it was for the sake of keeping moral and hopes up that he continued to hide his own helplessness with this situation in Midgar. They all believed he had some big flashy plan in mind that would eliminate all problems... Well, let them believe that.
The silver-haired general entered the elevator that would take him down to the President's floor; no one followed him. He waited with his arms crossed and his head bowed in thought as the high-speed machinery began to take him down. What would be discussed in this next meeting with Rufus? The elevator binged softly, and the doors slid open. The sight that met those unnaturally green-blue eyes caused him to raise his eyebrows. The door to Rufus' office was open, the alert had gone off. He saw an unfamiliar man sitting unobtrusively toward the far end of the waiting room. Sephiroth paid no attention to him whatsoever. It was the familiar girl standing there directly in front of the President that sent a thrill of battle-lust through his veins.
Dislike wasn't a strong enough word to describe his feelings of her; abhor was a much better term. She had always been an arrogant bastard, her eyes set on nothing but causing pain and suffering for others. Yes, she had been an assassin for Shin-ra; so that sort of attitude of sticking to the shadows was to be expected. But he viewed such tactics as cowardly, and unacceptable for anyone who worked for Shin-ra. And Elstan had even abandoned her post, walked out of Shin-ra; like the coward she really was. To top it off, from what the President was saying; she had walked in uninvited. As SOLDIER, it was his duty to protect the President with his life; he was only too willing to do that. So... He would treat her as he would treat any intruder.
However, before he could move into the office; Elstan turned and started to leave, only to apparently shift her form and go back into the office. She now appeared to be a sort of skeletal monster, with a scythe and bat wing. And she was moving toward Rufus with an obvious intent to do harm, probably kill. So, without a sound, the ten foot long katana seemed to materialize out of the air in his hand; and his black-clothed figure became a blur. With the grace and speed which had made him famous in the first place, he placed himself in between the demonic creature and the President; the Masamune raised over his shoulder with the blade aimed directly at the creature's neck. She was no different from those monsters he'd killed in the past now. The eyes were narrowed in concentration, though his stance was relaxed with the ease of long practice and experience. The blade didn't so much a waver as he spoke in his usual soft voice to the President. "President Shin-ra... Permission to kill if necessary?" He asked. He doubted such extreme tactics would be necessary, but killing anyone meant a mass of paperwork that he was quite certain Rufus wouldn't appreciate having to fill out. "For your information, Elstan; I have no desire to kill the President. It is my duty to protect him, and I won't abandon that duty as you did."
ooc: Yeah, I know it's a terrible post, but it's better than nothing I suppose. XD

Various belt straps were fastened at a surprisingly fast and dramatic pace, leather snugly hugged against feminine curves, and chains jingled together as, like every other day, the young 2 nd Class SOLDIER readied herself for work. Her work phone had received an update from ShinRa: Contacting personal, Code Black.
All personnel who receive this messege, report to level 70 of President ShinRa's office for briefing. This summons is non-negotiable. *Repeat*Well, there was no getting out of it, and the thought of being needed by someone with influence, high status and power felt all too exciting for her to turn down no matter what may become of this said meeting. Once she thought about it, as a piece of toast hung from her lips, perhaps this could be the perfect opportunity for her to prove herself worth. As her eyes gazed at a photo that remained on the coffee table of her and her father when she was just a child, she began to wonder... could she really be as great as him? As a child she never really dreamed of being a warrior, but that was just digression. Snapping out of her reverie, Kyrie quickly scoffed down the rest of her toast and gulping her milk down hard and fast before petting her cat and dashing out the door, locking it before heading down the street, her half skirt flapping due to the great velocity and speed in which she ran. Once she arrived, she flashed her ID card before walking professionally into the building. Outside of work, Kyrie could act however she wanted but once she passed those barriers a somewhat different side of her would take its place. Pressing her gloved index finger against the elevator button, she then waited, crossing her arms and tapping her finger against her elbow, waiting in anticipation and anxiety, now she really couldn't wait to get to this meeting, but clearly duties came before anything else so she'd have to contain said excitement for now. Ding! The sound caught her attention, signaling that the lift had arrived, but for once in her life Reno was not inside, usually every morning there'd be some awkward elevator conversation between the two of them, but perhaps this had something to do with ShinRa's messege, she'd soon find that out. She walked inside, but was surprisingly joined by three other girls, the type that made Kyrie cringe all over, they were only ever interested in one thing and she had no idea how girls like them even got into ShinRa. The elevator doors soon closed, Kyrie stood in the corner at the end keeping to herself whilst needless gossip began. "Hey, did you hear? They say that the President's son is bound to take over business..." "No way! Really?" "Well, yeah, I mean, his old man is bound to kick the bucket sooner or later." "That Rufus ShinRa, he sure is an odd one... they say he was home schooled because no other academy had the skills to even teach him, I mean, the guy's a genius from what I've heard!" "Ooooh! Sounds exciting, and apparently he's meant to be really handsome, too!" "Smarts and looks? Mmh! Sound dreamy!" Throughout the whole of the girly gossip, Kyrie's eyebrow was twitching uncontrollably in utter annoyance, had these girls no respect? Had they no idea who they were talking about?! It was their ignorance that sent various triggers off in her mind, just wanting to punch them all in their caked up little faces. But after a rather sexual yet inappropriate comment regarding the President's son's 'size', Kyrie could hold her tongue no longer. "Hold your tongues! Have you no idea who you are speaking of?! As SOLDIER it is our duty to protect the President and his son, not stand around idly playing with your hair as you girlishly gossip of the man that could fire you as soon as look at you! You're paid to work, no one cares about people like you who do nothing but chatter! Though it wouldn't surprise me if you could talk your enemies to death with such boorish talk! Unlike you, some of us got our jobs more respectively instead of having to open our legs for such an opportunity to be given!" After that extreme outburst of anger, the three girls swarmed out of the lift, it was only until the doors closed that they realized they had been too scared to realise they weren't on their desired floor. Kyrie just leaned against the wall with an exasperated sigh, seemingly quite exhausted after her short outburst. Placing her hand to her slightly throbbing forehead, Kyrie honestly wondered if the rumours of the President's 'affairs' were true after thinking back to those girls, as much as she hated to judge, but surely girls like them only knew how to handle a nail filer let alone a sword. Perhaps she would be able to discuss this matter with Rufus ShinRa, regarding the girls, of course! Finally, she reached the floor, in all honesty the sight before her was remarkable, as if it were a V.I.P area in a five star hotel, then again, this was the President and his son's quarters after all. She noticed that all the over floors below this one were just... so... dull? Metallic floors and walls, like a prison of some sort, it was if each floor going down to middle to up was like lower class, middle class and then upper class, but again, she digressed. She wandered over to the large door to Rufus' office, looking at the small computer screen installed with a camera, she placed an arm to her chest in salute as she bowed slightly to her superior, knowing he could see her. "Kyrie Fallen, 2 nd Class, reporting, sir!" she spoke in a professional tone, no signs of fear or quivering was detected in her voice, this was clearly a matter of importance so no foolery would be tolerated by the President's son. And so it began. Kyrie's Uniform: All credit goes to the creator/artist

Post by Leon Walter Deltova on Aug 5, 2012 3:49:55 GMT
The morning of the meeting was a particularly interesting one for Leon Deltova. Sitting at the courner of his bed, a cup of coffee in his hand, he was quietly reading over the instructions that had come to him from a representative from Shinra Electric Power Company. It was a summoning, of sorts, for those versed in the means of combat to assist the company in a "Matter" as the packet of information had listed. The information provided was interesting enough, but Leon could tell there was obviously something that Shinra didn't want people to know about.
Setting the packet of information down on an end-table in the spacious room that he had rented, Leon downed the last of his coffee and stood up. Walking to the closet, Leon went about gathering his normal array of equipment. Pulling on the chest holster, Leon stopped and looked out the window. The sun was high in the sky, the birds singing, and the sound of voices wafted into the room. It was a time like this that Leon realized what his career path had lead him to. It was also at this moment that he felt old, incredibly old. Not in mortal years, but in spirit and mentality.
Leon shook his head and returned to the matter at hand. He quickly went about gathering his things and storing them away in either his coat or the pouches that hung from the tactical belt that went around his waist. Checking each of his weapons, Leon secured them and moved to the next piece, slowly coming to a final point of pulling on his jacket and placing his two swords in their respective spots on his hip, one next to the other. Now fully geared up, Leon turned and picked up the packet of information. Slipping it into the folder that it had come in, Leon tucked it under one arm and quietly left the room.
Moving through the seemingly resplendent hotel lobby, Leon stopped at the desk and paid in advance for the next several nights, sure that this might take more time then planned. The clerk nodded his head and accepted Leon's payment, telling him to have a pleasant day. Leon nodded his head as well, turned, and walked out.
~
It took Leon the better part of thirty minutes to get to the Shinra building, but once inside, Leon needed only to stop at the desk, show the woman sitting there the packet of information, and receiving information and clearance to the upper levels. Thanking the woman, Leon walked to one of the elevators, pressed the button, and waited for the lift to open. The door's dinged open and he stepped inside. Calm, quiet music was playing over the speaker above Leon, reminding him of a song that he loved to listen to.
Soon, the doors parted for the top floor, Rufas Shinra's office. As Leon was stepping out of the lift, however, an interesting sight presented itself to him. A man welding an enormous sword stood facing a demonic creature. Shinra, from Leon's guess, sat behind his desk, watching the spectral before him. Putting his hand on the hilt of one of his swords, Leon walked slowly towards the large doors.
"Looks like you know how to throw a party, Mr. President. Need any assistance?" Leon drawled, looking at the sight. Sorry for the lateness of the post, but I finally got a chance to sit down and write something out.

It was a wreck already that one of his own sub-ordinance turn into a beast before the meeting had hardly started, it aggravated him. The clear golden blonde man stayed sitting in his chair with Sephiroth defending him and a sight not unexpected, some men knew their loyalty whilst others attempted in vain to strike out at the hand which feeds them. A pressed right hand laid on the surface of Rufus’ cheek as he gazed lazily to the humanoid, if it could even be considered one to begin with. Then the wildest thing came to pass as yet another male flashed in sight standing between himself and the beast that threatened his life, the warrior was well armed and experienced from battle markings that could be seen from his blade to the clothing he wore and a gesture of hospitality by defending one’s life was more than welcome in his office but to prove himself worthy to attend the mission he offered was something all together a honour earned. Even by reputation such stories could turn out to be a lie, a good lie if his sources and informants were wrong about said individuals but a lie none the less.
“Sephiroth, end this quickly...” He turned his gaze to the man that stood before him, the new comer that brandished his sword alongside the SOLDIER General, an honour not always given to outsiders but Rufus would allow it. “Leon, right?” Rufus questioned and tasted the name he examined, getting used to saying it more often for orders or explanatory concerns “If you would be so kind.... Assist in subduing this monster.” His hand gestured to the newly transformed Elstan, there was no time for a long battle and yet another guest was expected to show in assisting, one of his own that he had been keeping a close eye on progress and relations with HER fellow associates.
(Forgive the Short reply, was hopeing to get explaining on the mission, guess not XD)

Tap...
Tap...
Tap...
The young female's heel was lightly but audibly tapping against the carpet covered flooring, her arms crossed over her chest in a rather impatient manner. She'd been standing outside for ten minutes now, what was going on? Rufus ShinRa wasn't really one to keep others waiting... wasn't he? It was bad enough that another colleague just walked straight passed her and walked into the Vice Presidents office, she stood there dumbfounded for a few moments... what was she, luggage?
As formal and professional she wanted to be, something clearly had to be up for this meeting to be delayed. With a heavy sigh, she gave one of the doors to his office a strong push before her eyes widened at the sight before her. "Mother of Gaia!" she exclaimed, quickly covering her mouth after taking the Goddess's name in vain. What in the good Goddess's name was going on here? This was no way to start a meeting and a fight surely wasn't needed right this moment.
Quickly but surely, Kyrie made her way to the President's son's side, well, someone had to be the 'bodyguard' while everyone else focused on calming down this little... fued? Gaia knows, she'd been standing outside the whole time so how would she know how this started?
"Really?" she sighed, rolling her eyes before raising her voice ever-so slightly so that her fellow colleagues could hear "if any of you have any decency at all, you'll buck up and present yourselves in a civil manner!"
Oh, gee... look at her, a 2nd telling off a bunch of 1st's? She had no higher authority but right now, aside from Rufus, she felt like the only mature and responsible on there. "The Vice President has requested your presence here for a reason, and I'm sure you all know of his authority over you all, so if you value your jobs you'll stop this foolery right now!" it was funny, really... it was like a child scolding her parents, but a scary one at that. Deep inside, Kyrie was practically quivering at the thought of what her words could cause, but it was common sense, was it not?
Only time would tell.

Elstan's scythe started to glow... Suddenly a cloud of skulls appeared. She returned. "I've had enough of that beast taking over me. However, 'President' this is still your mess. If you hadn't sent me on that mission I wouldn't be that beast." She said. Her thoughts wondered to Genesis. "Sephiroth you'll learn the truth one day. That day will be your undoing. My master has told me this." She said. The silver haired girl looked at her brother. "When that day comes I will have no choice but to destroy you, one on one, and nothing, not even Kyrie will be able to stop me." She said. "I have been chosen along with others to destroy JENOVA." Elstan said. "You've been warned." She said and left the room.
It was true what her master had said. Sephiroth would go loopy sooner or later. To destroy Sephiroth when that happened would mean the loss of hundreds of innocent lives, but if that meant peace for in the future, so be it. Every always thought so harshly of Elstan and she had, had enough. She had been away for a few days sure, but now she had to make ShinRa see the mess he had caused for the Planet, even if it means hurting him. Genesis was gone, one of the reasons Elstan had deserted. She was still trying to mend her broken heart, but somehow it wasn't working. 'I have to find a way, I just have to. I don't want Sephiroth to go nuts and start killing everyone. I have to find a way to prevent it.' She thought. Even though she hated her brother, she also loved him, deep down in her heart, though for some reason her brother hated heer and she didn't understand why. She looked out of a window, when she lost it. Elstan thumped the window, shattering it in an emotional outburst. "First Genesis, now you Sephiroth... What did I do to make you hate me so much?" She yelled out loud. Tears were falling from her eyes, and yet she made no sound. She was just too angry and upset. Elstan was alone. Monsters were always alone, she knew that now, and that's all she was...A monster.

Sephiroth shot a sideways glance at the newcomer. He was unfamiliar, though it seemed like the President knew his name. Leon, was it? To be honest, the SOLDIER general didn't think he'd need any help; he'd never needed it before now. But Rufus wanted this over with, so he'd cooperate with this new fighter for now. He suspected the man wasn't really interested in protecting Rufus, but was more or less focused on gaining some credit for a decent first impression. But the reasoning didn't matter; so long as he was obedient to the President. At the order given by Rufus, the silver-haired man responded softly. "With pleasure, Sir." He spread his legs, shifted his grip on the hilt of the masamune, and was just about to lunge into an all-out Octaslash; when Kyrie came in.
She was blubbering on about showing decency before the president, and he felt a flash of irritation. Had she not seen the threat? There was a non-human monster threatening Rufus, of course he would draw his blade. He didn't approve of this sort of action near the President either, it was dishonorable. But he would do his duty as Rufus' protector, no matter what the situation. Had he not been focused on Elstan, he might very well have turned upon Kyrie and retorted that the President's life mattered for than civil actions. Then, without warning, Elstan reverted to her usual form; talking about some nonsense of being controlled. Likely story, he thought sarcastically. And what was this nonsense about "the truth", and a "master"? He didn't give a damn about either one, or anything she had said really. More than anything, he wanted to cut her down that moment for threatening the President; as duty demanded. But she had turned and left, and he slowly lowered his impressive blade and shifted out of his fighting stance.
Those Mako Eyes rested upon Kyrie in irritation. "So are you saying... That you would show proper etiquette rather than leap in to defend your President; if this happened again? What if your preference of 'decency' resulted in a waste of time; during which the President was harmed or killed? Perhaps you aren't fit to be a 2nd class then. Standing in between death and and President is your duty as SOLDIER." He turned away from her, allowing a slight nod of greeting in Leon's direction as he angled the masamune at the ground. "I do hope you'll forgive my unannounced entrance, President Shin-ra. I believe your life is more important than manners." He bowed his head slightly, before pointing his thumb over his shoulder at the door. "Would you like me to pursue, Sir? Or should I send a group of other SOLDIER members after her?"
ooc: Apologies for shortness. XD I did my best.

Well, that did go as well as she hoped, but still... at least Elstan had returned to her 'normal' self, still... Kyrie couldn't help but feel concerned, not just for the safety of those around her and the planet, but for Elstan also... she must've been going through something terrible, Kyrie never admitted much, but she cared, she cared for all her co-workers and colleagues, some more than others. As much as she tried to ignore it, but something about that silver haired girl intrigued her, she had never had much time to get to know her, but there was something about her that kept Kyrie away... she clearly needed no one and Kyrie respected that giving her reason to stay away... but that couldn't be true, right? Surely, Elstan needed... someone? Right....?
Snapping out of her train of thought, Kyrie caught Sephiroth's words, which set off triggers in her head... various ones at that! And they weren't good at all. Her left wrist flinched with an audible click, her attention turned to him with a cool demeanor yet a firm voice.
"If it is commanded of me, then yes, I'd rather obey my President rather than start an unnecessary fight over what? We both know very well what! And it just goes to show how much faith and just how well you know your colleagues, if Elstan wanted to cut him down right there and then, she would, but she didn't! And that just says something, regardless of personal matters and setting our personal feelings aside for our President for his reasons of us being here, it is still a necessary precaution to be concerned about those we work with in case matters like these happen, which it almost did!" she made her point very clear, emphasising every word, every syllable of what she said. But Sephiroth being... well, Sephiroth, he'd never understand and his words just pushed her more and more!
"And my being 2nd? If that's the case, then you, dear Sephiroth, are a fool if you think rank covers ability, I've seen some of the finest performances by those of lower rank than you, and I've never been more proud of them, I encourage them, not shun them," her lips moved as graceful as ever but her words spat fire from a volcano, her 1st Class mentor, Faith Nightscar had really rubbed off on her and influenced her well, those last words of her sentence were aimed straight at him like an assassin fixated on their target.
If he was looking for a means to put her down or humiliate her, it wouldn't work, she was here to do her job, not engage in a petty argument. She then turned to Rufus, only feeling apologetic towards him and no other, knowing she had so rudely gotten involved with this moderate chaos due to her own good intentions. "We were informed to be here for a reason, not argue in front of the one that called us here, it's unprofessional, and you, Sephiroth, should know all about being professional. Although I respect your actions in protecting a man of great importance to this company, there is something you lack in the procedure."
After that, she adressed him no further, her eyes somewhat desolate after her final words to him but soon gained her composure. "Forgive me for my blunt rudeness, sir. 2nd Class, Kyrie Fallen at your command," she nodded with the utmost respect for him than any other man aside from her father. She awaited further instructions, though was greatly interested in what he had to tell for them to be there.
(Woooooooooooow! Kyrie standing up to Sephiroth xD *waves the Kyrie flag*)

“Enough of this senseless prattling...” Rufus’ words stung the air to those who heard his tone of voice; it was stern, powerful and aged, like a father speaking to his sons and daughters to which end they have disappointed him greatly. However his body language never took a stance of aggression, rather he grew tired of the situation very fast and his eyes swept the room to the three that stood scattered across his office, “You will take your seats now, and hear what I have to say...”
It never boiled down to a question but an order and anyone who knew Rufus on a personal level would notice his disconnection to the situation that had come to pass, too much time had been wasted on a petty fight and all because of a preconception and “fault” Rufus had apparently made. If Elstan was foolish enough to fall into such a transformation, a trap, then it only expressed the skills that she possessed.
Rufus watched expectantly at the other three operatives to take the seating on either side of a large, lengthy black stained marble table that stood in a powerful expression of marvel and respect for its beauty and rarity. The president of course sat at the head on the far side away from the entrance, his upper level where the computers were compiled in many different areas all switched onto a data relay compliance, showing evidence of what has been happening outside of Shinra’s grasp.
Rufus placed a peerless right hand on the table whilst the left held a thin pencil like remote, with a simple tap the computer information would change, like a slide show with real data, tables, photo’s, video feeds, ect. However he did miss out on a question his General asked before hand and was of course obliged to ask due to the circumstances, “And whilst the case stands, leave the rabble to her own designs, I require co-operation, strength and determination, not a renegade/hero who thinks this matter is small...”
Rufus’ tone had a jolt of spite for Elstan and how she acted, though he respected what Kyrie had said and done, he had no time for formalities and favourites but mere introductions and explanatory answers that will finally lead to what he wanted to speak before hand, about this “Calamity” was a suitable word and one worthy in remembrance of the tyranny of Jenova.
“If you are ready, I shall begin...”

Leon nodded his head in response to the acknowledgment that Sephiroth had shown him. Though it was for a fleeting moment, Leon thought he saw something in his eyes. Appreciation, perhaps? Whatever it was, it vanished when Sephiroth turned and engaged the woman in conversation. The woman, a new arrival in the room, and somewhat late to really do anything about the emergence of the monstrous being, had begun to spout something about proper behavior in front of the president. This statement made Leon stop and think, while slowly replacing his sword in the sheath on his hip. Leon looked at the woman with his peripherals, carefully noting her appearance, the way she carried herself, and her body language as well as her tone of voice.
The woman carried herself with dignity and pride, introducing herself as Kyrie Fallen, and from what Leon could guess, a 2nd grade SOLDIER. An interesting prospect, really, immersing people in the energy of the planet to enhance physical, and magical ability, accompanied with rigorous physical training and conditioning. Sounding similar to the training of the Marines that Leon had gone through, minus the immersing in the energies if the planet. That entire prospect confounded Leon in different ways, but then again, it wasn't his place to question the methods of other scientists. Returning his attention to the woman, Leon continued to ponder the information that was presenting itself.
At the moment, she was defending her actions, having been confronted my the man, now identified as Sephiroth, and seeming to try and remind him that even though his physical skills were great, it takes a wide variety of attributes to make a person the best in their line of work. While Leon did agree with that idea, it was also a little out of place for an under-ranked to be talking down to a higher up for doing the right thing. Leon agreed, in contradiction to the agreement that a tactical assessment should have been made first, however, that in a situation that is react or die, Sephiroth had in turn made the correct decision in moving before the President and drawing his own weapon.
Though Leon could not settle on either side, he kept his contemplations to himself, turning to look at the source of the new voice. The man behind the computer bank had decided that enough was enough and addressed everyone in the room. His tone, manner, and way of speech spoke more then his simple message to them, telling Leon that he had learned from a young age how to take command of people's attention and on how to run a business as it should. The speaker, a young man with short blond hair, seemed somewhat frail and unbecoming of the tone of voice that he owned.
Appearances can be deceiving. Leon thought to himself quickly.
The man, Rufus Shinra, president and CEO of Shinra Electric Power Company, bashed the actions of the woman who had become the monstrous being, and passed it off as if it were nothing. He asked them to take seats and he himself sat down, turning his attention back, in part to the bank of computers before him, ready to get this meeting out of the way and send the collected group on its way on whatever mission he had in store for them.
Leon pulled up a chair on the opposite side of the table from the man, reclining and looking down the table at the man who had called the group together.
This should be interesting. Leon mused, a small grin spreading over his features.
