(OOC, SOLDIER characters and ShinRa related personnel only please)
The seventy floors of Shinra Inc. are something to be marveled by all whom work, pass and even enter, housing thousands upon thousands of employees for research, development and minimal tasks for the public to turn a blissful eye upon, the reality of it all was the SOLDIER project that had taken place for some years now, Shinra creating and administering profit for the creation of a private army whilst they keep their prized possessions under lock and key, always under the watchful eye of such a magnificent tower, few know the truth, others know the difference whilst most refuse to believe that Shinra would be capable of such things, the "protective shield" that will safe guard humanity from the many Evils the world had to offer.
Such a prospect caused pause for thought, the security for one never questioned the established and defined rules of Shinra how those whom worked at such a facility did indeed in the end, question, question the authority of Shinra Inc; How it worked and what the plans for its future would be, as if normal soldiers wasn't enough.
People of the present would call the "SOLDIER project" playing God, whilst others are Pro Shinra, that humanity did need protection, like a baby being coddled in a warm blanket, keeping the ugly face of human society away, Shinra had become law at this time, Genesis, rebounded for his brilliance, talent, physical appearance and battle hardened capabilities, had just returned from an assignment far to the East, restricted to not give away such information, some could only say it must have been a battle of dread, the men that followed were many, those who were untouched by the dregs of battle, but those who were not so fortunate.
Bandages covering their heads, sight, used-to-be limbs and torn a part Armour, or what was left. Genesis on the other hand merely walked through the military entrance with purpose, his achievement, great, his mission accomplished.
Those he walked past spoke light under breath, baited sight quickly turned away as they spoke of how distinguished he had become, there were other names, names that such a man was too familiar with, Sephiroth, Angeal. Two other first class SOLDIER personnel, and Genesis' closest Friends, it was these days Genesis' competitive nature was calmer than before and settled for a time, he had reached a rank that equaled Sephiroth, that would be enough for him for now.
A little time passed and Genesis continued to walk down an narrow metallic hallway, a soft laughter escaped his lips, the thought of a field advantage by squishing enemy troops into a corridor was a good idea, but what about employees attempting to get to their working stations, he questioned the idea, his expression shifting to a more serious look, a right arm hugged his waist whilst the left pressed under his unblemished chin.
Needless to say, the SOLDIER couldn't have anticipated a figure walking the opposite side of the corridor. "Ripples form on the water's surface The wandering soul knows no rest" he spoke in a hushed tone of voice, as if hopeing the words would bounce off the walls so that the figure would hear such words, but it was his own persona that stopped such thoughts and allowed him to walk, ever walking with purpose and pride.

After helping to carry the last of the wounded into the Infirmary, the girl with eyes of silver and blue sighed with slight exhaustion, wiping sweat from her brow. "Alrighty, that's the last of 'em," she spoke professionally, turning to face her small team of 3rd Class SOLDIER "make sure no one is left unattened, those of you specialising in Cure magic, tend to those with severe wounds, you're on your own for now, so good luck." With those final words, the young woman walked out, heading towards an elevator. 2nd Class, Kyrie Fallen, of age no more than seventeen, had seen way too much today, for whatever assignment those men had been given... it sure hadn't ended well. Thinking of what foul beast could've done that to those men made her shiver, the life of a SOLDIER wasn't exactly that of a pleasant one. "Not my place to say, I guess," she sighed, leaning against the elevator, exiting when it stopped and the doors slid open. Now here she was wandering the halls, a voice instantly caught her attention.

Genesis could hear the footsteps of a weary SOLDIER in the distance, the reason being is he knew, is that only moderate class SOLDIER personnel were allowed in this part of the facility, after all, Genesis had a mind to go to the library, forever searching up references to Loveless and any other peculiar clues to the where abouts and tales that are limit idly said in such poems, it wasn't just the book, the poems, the acts or even the hidden meanings, but the story its self, the indescribable feeling that there is something waiting out there for him, and only him to discover, that yearning for life that will give him the infatuated feeling, that living isn't a sin, that he can live a life like any other, that he is, human.
Such rebellious thoughts ran through his mind whilst he made his way down the corridor, the scent of blood however was overpowering, even to a ordinary humans nose. The only possible reason for this, must have been the arrival of his task force, the youthful man raised his head, a pair of steel blue eyes stared in front of his physique, forever gazing upon the woman that approached, by the distance and time that had past, Genesis could clearly see the color of her hair, texture of her skin and even her ample, solidified colors of her eyes.
Such a creature of beauty, in the damnable fortress and detestable figments, what cruel fate has allowed one such as you to manifest here?
He thought to himself in a poetic eddafist, as he normally does to some that capture only a moment of his interest, however it was quickly cast a side, remember she is a part of SOLDIER. It came time to pass such a young woman, however there was nothing gentlemanly of what he had done, instead of turning his body to the side allowing both to easily pass, he merely shoulder shoved her into the metallic walls surface.
A few passes he had made until he stopped, the clunk that must have been made by such a rude act forced him to draw his attention on the female once more, he was silent by then, his steel blue eye showed signs of an intense rashi of mako concentration, his pose was that of strength and superiority, but his back had been turned, as if to dismiss such existence, in the end SOLDIER was made to take life, no matter how physically attractive this woman may look, she would always be a killer to the core, that is the ultimate meaning of SOLDIER, at least in his mind.
"Don't you have something to say?" His tone was sharp, harsh and tense, very tense, as if a fierce aura surrounded him, by him merely being there.

Now that she had no training, neither no assignments, Kyrie was allowed to do as she pleased for now, and what better thing to do than read up on a few of her favourite books? If only a simple book could bring peace rather than the clashing of swords... As she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, which held an earring of her signature - a single closed angel wing, she continued to her thoughts, her feet knowing where to go. However, such thoughts were unattended to ask she felt a force collide with her feminine yet powerful body, luckily the grips on her boots prevented her from colliding with the wall, only her boot slammed into it, like one would do when knocking into a coffee table. Her gaze then focussed on the figure that so rudely shoved her - that was no accident. The charm on her own sword of a Banora White being slightly covered by a wing jingled slightly, her form was poised and calm as she passed him into the library, she knew who he was, just didn't give him the satisfaction of being acknowledged, only leaving him with a few words. "My friend, do you fly away now? To a world that abhors you and I? All that awaits you is a somber morrow, no matter where the winds may blow..." her voice was soft, well-spoken for her age, as if knowing how to present herself. But her words to him were left to be pondered, was she mocking him? Or merely indicating she shared an interest in the particular book? That very thought placed a smile on full pink lips as she neared closer to the bookshelf, trailing her index finger along the spines of various books "La... Le... Li... Lo-! Here we go, LOVELESS," she smiled, taking the book from its fellow friends before finding a nice quiet spot with bean bags and comfy chairs, she prefered to sit alone and near windows, at the moment she sat at the window sill, her knees to her chest as she read quietly to herself.

Such a quote from this woman was distasteful and apparent to be heard, the SOLDIER shook his head, closing his eyes, averting them even, it was never her physical appearance but her attempts to even speak of LOVELESS, this book was sacred to him, it was never its many copies within such a library but the references that could be unlocked within.
" My friend, the fates are cruel There are no dreams, no honor remains"
Those words were spoken before the female could leave ear shot, those words were for her to decide whether they be insult or a deeper meaning all together, however his interest quickly ran out once more, his single minded prospect demanded him to find such a reference, more murmurers within the confines of the library, there was a fair few class two Soldiers that resided, looking for books to learn from, research or even have menial fun with.
Genesis however had found the book he was looking for " Xarcan Findings" his tone of voice was to a whisper, again a secret he kept to himself in an attempt, his eyes glazed slowly form left to right as if protective of such knowledge, like a child he walked to the far end of the large room, filled with books, to a quiet reading area, there a table was set as usual, Genesis is a common customer in the library, always looking for knowledge on the terms and quotes of LOVELESS.
There he scanned the content pages for a while, there he took wrote notes, and then continued writing, his eyes fixated on the many references, possibilities, this was more exciting than reading a normal book, the Xarcan reference book to the right-center of time, the book LOVELESS to the left-center, there he continued until there was no more room or leads.
However all the while there was continuous murmur, even in a library peace could not provide salvation on such a day.

Genocide had fully awakened. You could hear Hojo's sadistic laugh from afar. "ahahaa. He has awakened! My latest specimen is nearly complete!" he wailed still laughing maniacally. His eyes were glowing red at the time he had awakened. A few minutes had passed and it turned to an icy blue. The eyes of a SOLDIER infused with the cells of Jenova the calamity that fell from the sky many years ago. Edit: fixed it. I'll just have a small part in the beginning. (Gah, years of RPing then quitting then coming back is hard. It's been about 2 years now. )

Kyrie relaxed as she turned the page delicately, the pages appeared to be quite fragile, how natural for such a book. As much as she knew, as did many other SOLDIER, of Genesis'... hobby for LOVELESS, it touched the depths of her heart, such a tale would occasionally bring tears to her eyes. It didn't take long for her to finish, gently closing the book and hugging it to her chest, remembering it to be a sort of bedtime story her father would tell her when she was younger. She stood up, returning the book to its rightful place, passing Genesis as she did so, which seemed to have caught her attention. Her gaze softened, noticing how focussed he was, it was like the book he was reading had practically enticed him, luring his mind deeper within its pages. A smile curved her lips, he reminded her of a child doing his homework, if whatever book he was reading had caught such attention, she thought of a kind yet simple gesture. Peering at a bookshelf she was familiar with, she walked over, sliding out a light blue covered book titled 'The Price of Freedom', a wonderful piece in her eyes, the version she had choosen was the scripted one, quite detailed and far complex to dicipher than Shakespear, filled with quotes and facts of its tale, based around an event, people often debated if it were true or just myth. The tale focussed around a simple farmboy with dreams of becoming a hero, though soon finds out that even heroes have it tough, there was more to being a hero other than fame and respect, the ways he finds this out are harsh, costing him so much in his life... being a hero soon leaves a weight heavy upon his shoulders, a neverending leash around his neck... facing many hardships to claim his freedom. Holding the book close, Kyrie approached the table in which the crimson SOLDIER sat, standing beside him as she placed the book beside his LOVELESS, giving a light smile before turning on her heel, about to walk away.

ooc: Kyrie, you're running into all the important people... XD Let's make this take place after their date in the Golden Saucer; unless you'd rather it were before. I'm fine either way. If you want it to be before, I'll change the last part of this post to acknowledge that.
bic:
What a waste of his time. Why should he visit these broken warriors? All of these men and women in the infirmary had been harmed in some way on their mission; and harm only came to those who were either very weak, or simply lacked the focus and attention that battle demanded. Why else would they have let their guard down enough to be wounded like this? The only reason his leather booted feet made their way down this crowded hallway was due to a request directly from the Director. Lazard had called the Hero to his office about half an hour ago, and said that Genesis had returned successfully from the east. However, the returning warriors had broken spirits and morale; and they needed some encouragement to rebuild their strength if they were ever to be useful again. "And why don't you provide that encouragement? You are the most powerful man in SOLDIER branch." That had been his rather irritable reply. Lazard had simply shrugged, and said words which still echoed in the silver-haired man's ears. "Only in rank. You know full well that seeing you among them will provide much more motivation than myself."
So here he was; still in a bit of a temper about this task. Of course, no trace of his exasperation showed on that eerily calm face. He had a naturally serene attitude; he ignored everyone who wasn't close to his equal. Once, when he'd only just started to become famous; he had been more social. But after all those annoying fans showed up; he'd vowed to not spare a word to them if he could. It would only lead to overreactions and then he'd be swarmed. It was best to keep up his "I don't give a damn about any of you" attitude. Of course, he honestly did care about the well being of Shin-ra and the country; and people understood that every time they were lucky enough to read a news article about his most recent endeavors. So openly showing protectiveness about the country wasn't necessary. He was the best of the best; the most elite and skilled man in Shin-ra, and well-known all over the world. Visiting those who were foolish enough to get hurt was far below his level. On top of it all; there was a high probability that he'd run into Genesis soon. It wasn't that he didn't want to see his friend, but he wasn't in any mood to listen to more LOVELESS quotes. And Genesis' jealousy of him was all too obvious. The Hero wasn't planning on answering another foolish challenge on the arrogant man's side.
Sephiroth soon found himself in the waiting room of the main infirmary where the returning men were being placed and tended to. Of course, the instant the automatic door slid open before him; a hush fell over the waiting families inside. He could feel every pair of eyes on him; mixtures of shock and confusion as to why he was here; along with that usual admiration and awe. It sounded as if a combined intake of breath had rippled around the room at his appearance. He walked straight-backed and proud, the green-blue eyes fixed firmly on the door into the emergency room. He took long strides, the black leather trench coat billowing out around his frame along with the hair. The receptionists near the door merely stared. Of course they wouldn't block his way, or demand that he leave so the men inside could rest. He was relieved to be out of the line of sight of all those people as the door closed behind him.
He saw the many beds in rows filling of the space of the main gathering room in the ER. Men with a wide variety of wounds occupied every bed in the over-crowded room. His nose wrinkled at the smell of blood and wounded flesh, the groans seemed extra loud to his enhanced hearing. But not all sounds subsided as he entered here. The most injured continued to cry in their suffering; to put voice to the wounds which should never had been inflicted upon them; had they been battle-ready on active-duty. Doctors and nurses continued to run around; carrying out diagnosis and separated those who needed immediate care from the rest. At least these people were trained well enough to not halt their work simply because he'd shown himself. But the room definitely had gotten slightly quieter as wounded realized who was among them. Sephiroth only just managed to not turn around and walk back out of the room in disgust. Instead, he took a deep breath and spoke a few words; just loud enough for all of the men to hear. "Well done, all of you. You have fought through conflict which even some of SOLDIER would have found difficult." A few cheers rose from the people who were not too badly injured to respond. Over the next hour, the Hero moved through the room; shaking a few hands rather reluctantly and offering words of encouragement.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When he finally left the ER, his great self-control was reaching its limit. There were many other things he could have done in the past hour, more productive things which were actually worth his time and attention. Many might have viewed him as an arrogant bastard if they had been able to hear his thoughts. But to be honest, he only acted in such a way because he was tired of the the fame which he had gained. When people could do nothing but stare, faint, scream in excitement, hyperventilate, or generally melt into chaotic moments of no self-discipline at the mere sight of you... Anyone else at level would have also experienced much difficulty tolerating it all. Sometimes, it was only his built up patience that stopped him from doing something completely stupid; if only to dampen the view the public had on him.
Lost in his thoughts and struggle to hold onto self-control, he hadn't noticed where his feet had taken him through the halls of Shin-ra; not until now. The impressive figure suddenly halted its steps when he entered a room full of shelves which were stuffed to bursting point with books. The metal plates he wore on either shoulder glinted strangely in the rather dim lighting. Why the hell was he in the library? It was the sight of a familiar red coat that drew his attention, and caused him to forget some of his pent up irritation. Of course Genesis was in the library. Then the woman near his old friend immediately lightened his mood. He knew he would have recognized her from a mile away. As his eyes fell on her, his realized that his heart was already acceleration from both excitement and nerves. He hadn't seen or spoken with Kyrie since their return from the Golden Saucer. But of course... With Genesis here; he could only act as if she was nothing more than a lower-ranking co-worker to him. He sincerely hoped she understood. He didn't want to hurt her feelings by suddenly treating her as if she was unimportant; disposable. He walked over to join them just as Kyrie stood and left a book on Genesis' table. Interesting... His eyes zeroed in on the book's title, and bemusement rushed through him. Of course... He soon stood at Genesis' shoulder, and nodded a greeting to Kyrie before addressing the auburn-haired man. "Glad to see you back here unscathed..." He said in his usually soft voice.
There lay the newly sort book the woman had brought him, the title was privy to his eyes but still needless to say regardless of such titles a book was a book, a creation of information, entertainment and learning stature, published for a reason, indulging a fancy he took the book, pulling it closely using his left hand, then returning to his previous advancements upon the now many pieces of paper that flooded the table surface, scraps of information that were needless whilst a lot of it was easily deciphered by the SOLDIER, a hobby or not he was not short of being the best in such antiquities and leisurely activities.
The female SOLDIER had turned a heel and was getting ready to walk away, fine by him, the less distraction the better, why would she even come here in the first place? To his area? From the book she had read before all the way on the far end, she sounded like she was enjoying it, and yet she would pick up another and give it to him, it seemed pointless, needless or perhaps an attempt to gain approval, wasted efforts on a lowly SOLDIER class were not needed for Genesis right now.
However, the sudden interruption on a pair of boots caused realization of whom entered the room, the way they walked, as if he were the king of the world, his strides and the weight he placed with each step, the forces superior sight commanded attention, but him and Angeal never gave such a luxuries, as if he were a pet to keep calm and not to get too overconfident with his masters, it was never an insult but the mans impulsive behavior's does get him into trouble, even in his adult years.
Such a thought caused pause for light laughter as his comrade and friend made his way to his area, his eyes were always fixated on the book, but his half-hearted attention had been given to the silver haired SOLDIER that newly joined the wonderful confines of knowledge and stories.
"Glad to see you back here unscathed..."
It was only polite to acknowledge a 1st class SOLDIERs presence within the room, especially when he works with such a man, turning his right hand away from its previous activity along with his left, his working hand was placed lightly beside his head, its elbow using the chairs back rest to lean on, his left merely slide across the table his playful fingers stopping, to take the position of drumming the table.
"Of course, nothing less is to be expected. his tone was glimb, but happy to see Sephiroth in his normal state, the auburn-haired man then turned his attention back to his writings, but still acknowledged Sephiroth's presence, " So, what brings you to the library of all places?" His voice spun with an inquisitive tone, such a man like his silver-haired friend here never found the library useful to him, least to Genesis' knowledge, which only sprung more questions in mind, but that would have to wait for another time, for now we could merely wait for the reply.
Still that young woman hadn't gone far, which also brought more questions to par, what does she want from here? Was it merely to read, possibly, was it something else? Or someone? Also possible.
As she turned and walked away after no attempts that would make her stay, it was clear from the start that she wasn't required nor needed, it was just a simple gesture after all, though obviously the crimson SOLDIER thought nothing of it. It was a book she enjoyed, and she already knew of the one thing both Genesis and herself had in common - they were both from Banora, but what relevance did that have? It would've been naive of her to think that he would enjoy the book just because of that one thing. Just as she was about to leave, she had noticed the silver haired SOLDIER, though she gave no reaction, not even her heart reacted to the sight of him, she was working, events outside work were not to be included inside of the ShinRa building, unfortunate to say that it made Kyrie quite hardened in personality, besides... he had to treat her like a tool in front of others, but either way that's what annoyed her about 1st Class SOLDIER, they always walked around high and mighty, self righteous even, with the exception of Faith and Angeal, at least by them she was treated equal, but Sephiroth and Genesis, it was in their nature, it was how they wanted and/or expected to act. Needless to say it both pushed and prevented Kyrie to reach 1st, pushed due to wanting show others she was worth something, prevented due to not wanting to end up like Genesis and Sephiroth... hounded by many, acting in such a manner that was expected of them, always so serious and proud... that was a life she didn't want to lead. She simply acknowledge him with a nod before walking straight past him and out of the library, maybe her mentor had something planned for her to do, plus she didn't want to be around as other female SOLDIER swarmed the two handsome men, how women like that got into SOLDIER she would never know... already a group was heading for the library, barging past her. Kyrie just grit her teeth, supressing her annoyance as she lightly punched the button to the elevator, waiting before entering, a sigh escaped her.
