((I know it is open, but if you post try to be active. If you take more then a week when its your turn I will work around you.))
The night is pitch black. A concusion of metal and other materials. Vergil rolled out of the trash he had just landed in. Standing up he brushed mistilanious filth from himself. Looking up at the old Shin-Ra tower he couldn't see it, then a flash of lightning, and it became clear. In the distance against the night sky was the Onyx Weapon.
He knew he couldn't fight it alone, so Vergil stepped out of the alley he had landed in, and looked around for anyone that looked like they might be of some help.

It was as if a black out raid had been called on the area. The entirety of the fourth plate of Midgar was nearly pitch black, no light except for the sporadic flashing of lightning in the turbulent sky. Leon W. Deltova, Mercenary and Assassin, had been on a recon mission in the local area of Midgar, searching for some off access point to an old military laboratory. The mission supplier had offered Leon a few gadgets that would have made his mission "Easier", but one look at the offered equipment told Leon that his standard accessories were nearly light years ahead of the tech provided.
It had been Leon's idea that it would be a good night to go out and search the area, getting a feel for the place before he actually went and got down to work. To know the area and the possible obstetrical before hand was one of Leon's professional quirks. It was also the night that some kind of monstrosity was lurking about above the city. Chalk down one for Karma.
It was getting later on into the evening, the cloud cover becoming more and more full and the occasional spattering of rain told Leon that the worst of the night was still to come. He had been sitting in a sector of the area, minding his own business when he heard the patter of footfalls coming from relatively close by. Activating his night-vision in his sunglasses, Leon looked about for the source of the sound. He was rewarded with the sight of a youth falling into a nearby alleyway. The youth, seemingly running for his life for some reason, got up and moved to the end of the alleyway. From what Leon could tell, the youth was looking about for someone or something, but from what Leon could tell, there wasn't another soul in the area for at least twenty blocks.
"Pardon me, m'boy. Looks like your lookin' for someone. Anythin' I can do to help?" Leon asked from the roof top, only about ten feet above the ground. He was in plain sight, but since the night was so pitch, it might have been a little difficult to see him perfectly.

Imediately Vergil looked up to where the voice had come from. He couldn't see the owner, but the tone told him enough. There was a man use to the sight of battle somewhere in the vacinity above him. What luck.
With a quick bend of his knees, Vergil launched himself onto a adjacent building top, both for even ground with the man, and to see the foe looming in the distance. "I don't suppose you have heard of the WEAPONS, have you." The question was a little ritorical, who hadn't heard of WEAPONS.
