Lost in the darkness, trying to find your way home...Elstan was alone. Her heart was shattering. She missed him. She sat in an alleyway. Elstan gripped on her sword tightly. The crescent moon was high up in the sky. It must have been arounf midnight. "Yazoo..." she whispered. She looked at her ring. Tears welled up in her eyes. She wanted him so badly. She had to tell him. The rest of her past. Things she had kept from him. Things she thought that it was best to keep from him. She heard something and quickly stood up. I want to embrace you and never let you go...She pointed her sword at the source of the sound. Her breathing was panicked. She had never been so scared before. Then again her mind wasn't on battle it was on her lover. Her heart thumped fast. "I cant change into that form...Not now." she whispered. She felt a presence behind her and quickly turned around, hopefully hitting her stalker. Word Count; 149 Lyrics; Somewhere~ Within Temptation

Can you see all of me? Walk into my mystery Step inside and hold on for dear life Booted footsteps made soft clicks against the concrete ground as Yazoo walked. Even while merely walking he seemed to retain that air of grace about him. Maybe it was just a talent, or he couldn't help but be a graceful little bugger. He considered it to be a gift, nonetheless. Moonlight glinted off his stunning silver hair, though only thin slivers made it to the ground. Cat-like eyes were turned skyward, though it didn't hinder his sense of direction. Even without seeing what was before him, Yazoo could navigate just fine. He shighed and shook his head, making his hair fall from his shoulders. He hadn't seen Enstan in awhile, and he was starting to notice that her absence took a toll on him. Before he met her, it was his Brothers and his search for mother that kept his spirits from falling, but now it was her. After all, with no clue as to where as to where Jenova was, and his tendancy to stray further and further from his Brothers, they were no longer around to buoy his spirits. Elstan, however, couldn't live too long without him. Not that he minded in the least bit, for he always enjoyed her company. He paused at the mouth of an alleyway shrouded in shadow, his keen ears picking up the sound of his name. Well, speak of the devil, hm? Yazoo's mouth curled up in a small grin as he recognized the voice as Elstan's. He walked into the darkness shrouding her, eyes quickly adjusting to the gloom. He spotted her hunched against the alleyway wall, her shoulders shaking softly. Was she...crying? He felt a pang of saddness shake his cold heart. He hated seeing her in pain, especially when he (or lach of his presence, rather) caused it. He held his hands up in a gesture that said he wasn't here to fight as she drew her blade at him. He didn't blame her, for it was indeed dark and hard to identify somebody in this alleyway. "Calm down, love. It is just me, Yazoo." He held a hand up in a sliver of moonlight to make his wedding ring reflect the light at her. "Is something the matter?"

Why was I one of the Chosen Ones?...Elstan's breathing slowed to a calm pace. It was him. The one who had her heart and soul. She dropped her scythe, which made a clatter as it hit the floor. She threw her arms around him. The diamonds in her engagement ring and her wedding ring glittered in the moonlight. That sweet smell he had was still the same. She nuzzled into him. "It's been so long my love." she whispered. Just holding him in her arms took the pain away. She looked up at him she noticed the vial of blood still hanging around his perfect neck. She kissed it. "Theres something you should see...Follow me." she said. Until the fight I could not see...She took him to anther another street. One that had been claimed by the Assassins. A fire was going. She closed her eyes and a cloud of morbid looking skulls swirled around her. Her beauty was gone. What replaced it was horrific. She was robed. Her face was replaced by a skull. Her hands became bony and white. Her scythe grew a couple of inches taller. A life timer hung from her belt. Her wing was still feathered but it wasn't white with black tips anymore. It was midnight black. The Assassins bowed to her. "Please don't be scared Yazoo. I am the Angel of Death. When I am in this form I go by a differant name. In this form I am called Azriel." she explained. She just hoped Yazoo still loved her. Of course she was a monster in this form but her feelings towards her husband didn't change. Can you see all of me? Walk into my mystery Step inside and hold on for dear life Yazoo let a small grin touch the corners of his mouth. It was a relief that Elstan was not hostile at the moment, for he had no intentions of fighting today. He wasn't keen on harming anybody today, for he had just shifted back to himself not long ago. Generally, he transformed when he was about to fight or he was threatened in some way. Then again, he also transformed at random moments in time as well. The second face of the Remnant was so unpredictable. Yazoo closed his eyes and let out a blissful sigh as Elstam embraced him. "I know, it indeed has been awhile. But I am here now, correct?" He returned the embrace by wrapping his arms around her waist. "Isn't that all that matters?" He leaned in to whisper the words softly in her ear before giving her neck a soft kiss. She seemed to have the same idea, which was actually kind of funny. Great minds think alike and things of the sort. "Allright. What is it that you wish for me to know?" His words were not met with an answer straight away, rather Elstan grabbed his wrist and led him off. Yazoo allowed himself to be led. Something wasn't quite right here, he gathered. Something seemed to be bothering Elstan. He shrugged inwardly. Whatever it was, he'd know eventually. Elstan wasn't one to keep things from him for too long. She seemed to have led him to yet another Assassin's guild, yet not quite the same as the others he had seen. It seemed to be just a street with a fire blazing in the center, for one. He ignored the eyes of the assassins on him. Didn't they know that the Master Assassin had a husband? Yazoo watched the transformation with a slightly impassive face, though surprise was obvious in his cat-like eyes. The surprise intensified as the transformation was completed. He blinked a couple of times while he took in her new appearence. She looked like something taken straight from a horror movie. But, then again, Yazoo felt like something from a horror movie himself. Not that he cared or anything. Elstan looked like a steriotypical Reaper, complete with a skeletal frame, long wicked looking scythe, long dark robe, and even a life times hanging hrom her waist. He could no longer see Elstan in this creature, but he knew the soul within belonged to her. His eyes scanned the rows of assassins who had dropped to low bows before her like she was some sort of God. "Scared?" He echoed, a small smile playing at the corners of his pale lips. "No, you do not scare me, Mistress Azriel. And if you think that just because you have a second face will make my love for you dissolve, you are mistaken." He slowly dropped to his knees, gently grabbing ahold of her bony wrist and pressing his lips to her hand. It was a much more respectful gesture than suddenly kissing her lips, if she even had any in this form. Besides, he wouldn't want a hoarde of assassins coming after him for disrespecting their diety.
