She's not here... Zack sighed, leaning against the wall outside the bar. There's what I get for massing up enough courage.
Really, that's how it had been. Last time Zack Fair had seen Tifa Lockhart, she had openly cursed him for bringing about the destruction of her town. He hadn't caused it; however, the guilt of her accusations still weighed on him to this day.
She hated him, he was sure of him.
And now that he had finally mustered up the courage to finally confront and apologize to her, she was nowhere to be found. Well it looked like someone was taking a rain check or something.
Weren't bars supposed to be open all the times anyways?
Oh wait... no... that was just the crappy ones.
"Ughh..." Zack sighed, "... day couldn't be worse, could it?"

Today just kept getting worst! A swarm of feathers carrying a gliding transparent woman swiftly moved in the sky, desperately attempting to lose the creature chasing her. This was ridiculous, why was she getting into more and more battles just lately? Was she being challenged? Or just hunted down to be snacked on?
Either way, it wasn't every day you get chased by a Dragon Zombie!! This was not fun at all. "Today of all days!" Kyrie's soft voice groaned as she spiralled in the air to avoid the enemy's Shadow Flare. She had been looking around the Northern Crater to find any traces of Jenova, but before she could, this thing had decided to make a meal out of her, she thought fleeing would help, but it just followed.
Just as she was about to turn in another direction, she noticed the enemy was no longer chasing, but what she did notice made her heart jolt and eyes widen. It was heading straight for Midgar's Edge. "Argh! Why!?" she groaned in frustration as she flew after it, once it was within reach, it didn't take the citizens long to realise what was heading their way and soon began running, screaming also.
As the Dragon Zombie perched itself on a building, ready to dive down and devour a child below, Kyrie immediately swooped down and wrapped her arms around the child, using half her feathers as a blinding shield whilst the other half of her feathers turned silver and began slashing repeatedly at the enemy to distract it whilst Kyrie moved the child to safety.
"Looks like I'm on my own..." she sighed, placing her hand over her chest as she looked down, but soon remembered where she was and flew at the enemy again as it flew off to a different vantage point.

Zack's head perked up at the sound of screams reaching his enhanced hearing. What was it now...? As if Zack wasn't having a bad enough day as it was already...
Pushing himself off his resting place on the wall, Zack hurriedly headed towards the direction of the screams, already having to fight the traffic of fleeing crowds to get to it.
What could be so devastating, anyways?
That's when he saw it, of all things. A Zombie Dragon... How the hell had it ended up in Edge anyways? Weren't they like... the farthest things from here to begin with?
Shaking his head and pushing those thoughts from his mind, Zack's head snapped up and watched as a familiar figure began to battle with the unwanted foe. What was her name again... Mirie...? No... that wasn't it...
"Kyrie!" Zack called up, pulling out his sword as he jumped to the side, avoiding a stream of fire. "Looks like I just keep running into your beautiful face, no?"
Chuckling a bit at his odd sense of humor in a strenuous situation, Zack bolted forward, sword sweeping for the creature's legs.

Kyrie's eyes widened slightly at the sound of her name being called out, she looked over her shoulder at the ground to see none other than Zack, what was he doing here!? He'd surely get hurt...
Then again, looking back at her previous memories with him, she knew he was reckless yet a skilled fighter. Heh, memories even he probably didn't remember, then again... she was different now. As she was lost in her thoughts, she was unaware of the Dragon Zombie swing its tail at her, with a surprised gasp, she was soon sent flying into a building, smashing through the window of an old building.
Her body created a small crater in the wall she had collided with and fell to the ground with a loud thud, unaware of the shard of glass lodged in her leg. She soon ran out of the abandoned room and out the window where she entered her feathery transparent form once again.
Quite hastily, she flew directly into the face of the Dragon Zombie, seeing its glowing eyes glare at her, but this also caused its vision to be obscured.
