He eyed her carefully, sizing her up. No reaction would escape his attention. His own eyes became distant as she clutched her necklace. "At least you had parents, even if you never really got to know them. My parents... I've never met them, and I'm not sure if I've ever had them... Hojo told me a woman by the name of Jenova was my mother, and described her to me. It sounded like she was a beautiful, well-known person... But try as I might, I can't seem to get any feeling for her. I never met her, Hojo said she disappeared. As for a father, I have no idea..."
His voice trailed off, and the green-blue eyes fell to the table. so many questions polluted his mind, but he didn't want to voice them. He was... Afraid... And was ashamed of such a fear of lost memories. Here he was, Hero of the planet, the bravest and most skilled creature on the surface of the earth... And he feared his merely lost past.
He looked up, managing to put a smile on his face, even if it was weak. "I'll trouble over it if I want. It obviously causes you pain, and I would rather you not suffer while you're with me... I would rather you didn't suffer at all, actually; ever." he hesitated, then added, "Some troubles can't be born alone. Having others around to understand and help, being near people you know you can trust with your life... It is a feeling unmatched by any other. I learned that with Genesis and Angeal."
It was ironic, really. He was lecturing Kyrie on how it was better to not be the lone wolf; yet it was a problem of his as well. He was a lone wolf, always would be. Only two people, maybe a third approaching, were able to have their help accepted by him.
He snapped out of his reverie when the waiter came back with the drinks. When he asked if they were ready to eat, Sephiroth glanced at the menu only briefly, zeroing in on some casserole thing. He voiced the name to the waiter, not really caring about food at the moment. The waiter turned to Kyrie, asking her what she wanted to order.
Sephiroth returned to staring wordlessly at the table, trying not to get lost in his memories again; not altogether succeeding.

Kyrie bit her lip softly and let out a sigh through her nose, her gaze fell upon Sephiroth, great, now he was lecturing her. "Whether your words are true or not, neither of us have met our mothers, as for your father... I really don't know, but could you ever understand or feel the pain of seeing someone you love so dearly die before your very eyes at the age of seven?" she looked down. Seven? It had been ten years already... she hadn't even realised...
She shook her head, not wanting to be sad, yet it ate away at her. "No... Sephiroth... I don't want you to be sad or even have to deal with my burdens," she looked at him pleadingly "I'm not trying to do things on my own, but to feel like I'm a burden to others, it makes me sad... I don't want to feel that way..." she just sighed, shaking her head once more, staying quiet for a while, only speaking when the waiter came over.
She ordered some soup as a started, followed by some bread rolls and a fancy pasta. Once they were alone again, she got up from her seat, walking over to the side of the table he sat at, she felt awkward as she crouched down, focussing her gaze on him until their eyes met, a warm genuine smile appeared on her face as she looked at him.
"We alone cannot change the way things are, that is why we need to accept others into our lives, to make it better, to make it worth while," she chuckled softly before daring to do something that would cause him to most likely kill her, she wrapped her arms around his shoulders, hugging the great hero a little close "I know I won't be alone... because you're with me, you won't leave me in the dark!" her smile brightened as she pulled away slightly so she could look at him.
"You'll always be my friend, Sephiroth, not for your looks, or for your reputation, but because I accept you for who you are, that includes even in your most worst moments, because if I don't want you in your worst moments, then I don't deserve to have you around at your best moments!" she really hoped she didn't sound sappy then, but it was the honest truth. Today was meant to be a fun day, not one to dwell on the past.
"So! Whatcha say? We'll enjoy our meal here, play a few games, see a show, just really enjoy today while we can, okay?" she smiled, she wasn't just being like this for herself, but for him, too... she knew how much he would need it. With another smile, she lightly pecked him on the cheek before fully pulling away.
By the time this was all over and done with, she had went back to her seat just in time, the waiter had just arrived with their food.

He shook his head slowly. "I can only imagine the pain. I've watched comrades fall in battle before my eyes, but never family. I have no family, no place to call home." Why was he doing this? he didn't want to dwell on any of this, but something was really messing with his mind now. She had walked over to him, forcing him to gaze into her eyes.
Then, he was shocked to the core as she hugged him. Instinct almost made him summon the Masamune, but he hurriedly calmed himself. He didn't mind Kyrie hugging him; but anyone else would have felt the Masamune's wrath.
"You'll never be alone. And I'll be honored to call you my friend, Kyrie." The sudden hug had forced all his feelings to the corner of his tormented mind, and he could think of nothing but being here with Kyrie; and enjoying it.
Then he felt her lips against his cheek, and the skin felt like it was burning. Oh my... was the first thought that ran through his head. He had to smile now, couldn't stop himself.
"I look forward to having more fun with you, Kyrie. I can't remember the last time I had fun, actually..." Then the waiter was there, and his food had arrived. His appetite had returned, but it was only a prick. He ate the casserole slowly, wiping his mouth occasionally with the napkin. It tasted ok... it wouldn't make it to his favourite list, but it would do.
"How's your meal, Kyrie?"

Now that was over, Kyrie was glad that they could both enjoy tonight without any problems whatsoever now. She smiled over at him as he began to eat, it was quite odd watching him eat with such care, most men would probably slobber and made disturbing sounds whilst chewing, Sephiroth, on the other hand, he had such good table manners, where he had learned them, she didn't know.
When her soup and spaghetti pasta came, she made sure to eat her starter first without slurping, she didn't want to seem impolite, she sat there, happily gulping down each spoonful whilst occasionally ripping a piece of bread roll and dipping it into the soup before eating it. To make the meal better, she could see the Chocobos racing, she wondered if the poor things ever got any rest, it seemed pretty abusive to have them keep racing like this... still, they were cute, Chocobos were always so optimistic it seemed, rarely showing their sadness.
By the time she finished, she then went onto her spaghetti pasta covered in sauce. This would be very tricky for her not to get on her white clothes, she ate carefully, using her fork to swirl up the paste and soon ate it. A satisfied smile appeared on her already sauce covered lips, it tasted so good, really mouthwatering.
As she ate, she didn't get a single splatter on her dress, but when Sephiroth asked her if her meal was alright, she looked up at him, mouth full with sauce all around her mouth. "Humh?" she blinked, looking rather dumbfounded.

It was pleasantly quiet. He was trying hard not to laugh now. Kyrie was putting on a good show of trying to use table manners; not that manners were important to him. Actually, he could care less about manners, he just wanted to appear somewhat civilized.
And then Kyrie looked up with her messy mouth, and he smiled. That was more like it. Less formal table manners. He absolutely hated formality now. But it gave him an excuse to interact with Kyrie again, something he enjoyed now. He took the spare napkin from the table and reached forward, clearing the sauce off Kyrie's face with great care.
"Chew and swallow, my Angel. I would rather you didn't choke right now." He blinked. Had he really just called her that? It had just slipped from his mouth without bidding, and it made him smile again. well, bidded or not, it was true. Kyrie was like an Angel to him at the moment, whether she liked it or not.
ooc: Sorry, short. >_<

Kyrie blinked as Sephiroth stared at her, she must've looked so silly there and then, but she hardly even cared, she was having fun. She was surprised to see him move his hand towards her, holding a napkin to wipe her face, she blushed slightly at the contact. It was then his next words that made her finally gulp her food down, though almost made her choke, so much that it left tears in her eyes.
She started coughing, trying to register what he had just called her. An Angel, did he really just say that? And what made matters worst was that he called her his Angel. Was she just over thinking this? Or did the word my seem to make his words a bit more awkward? Either way, it made Kyrie look even more dumbfounded, so many thoughts and intentions were swimming through her head, but then it'd just seem like she was taking advantage of the situation.
"Uhm... the food is good," she said, looking away shyly, what the hell? What happened to her more care free and confident self back then? Sephiroth's words had completely caused her to shy up. Once she was finished with her meal, the waiter had come to take their plates away, whilst Kyrie just sat there, slurping her smoothie, hoping the red in her cheeks would fade. She tried to reassure herself that nothing Sephiroth could do now would make her worst... but he was cunning.

He frowned slightly. "I thought I said don't choke..." He grumbled, slowly beginning to smile again as she recovered. Well, next time... He'd have to wait to call her his Angel, at least until she didn't have a mouth full of spaghetti. He continued to smile pleasantly at her, taking note of her sudden shy attitude. Interesting effect... Two simple words... He rebuked himself silently. He sounded like Hojo now, like Hojo watching an experiment taking place. He was definitely not going to act anything like Hojo. He wasn't exactly fond of that insane scientists, anyway...
The table was cleared, and the waiter was bowing to them again. "I hope you enjoyed your food and have a nice day at the Gold Saucer."
Sephiroth looked up at him expectantly. "What about our bill?"
The man looked absolutely shocked at the mention of that, and smiled wider. "No no... Great Sephiroth. No payment is necessary. This was our treat to you in return for everything you've done for the Planet."
Sephiroth shot an "'I'm not surprised' look at Kyrie, before standing up. "you have my thanks then, Sir. Wonderful meal, by the way. And while you refuse payment, i must insist that you take a tip." He reached into his pocket and pulled out a rather large handful of gil, in both bills and coins. He left that on the table, pretending to ignore the waiter now; who looked like he was about to faint.
"Come on Kyrie." He said, smiling still. "I thought we were going to play some games?"

Kyrie looked back and forth at Sephiroth and the waiter, free food? Then again, knowing Sephiroth, he could probably get free everything; food, drinks, items, guns, you name it! She sighed, too bad peace was never an option people thought of.
When he got up to leave, Kyrie blinked as she got up, looking back at the table."No dessert?" she asked with a dumbfounded look on her face, it sounded more humorous than anything, but still held disappointment. She just shrugged and ran after him, slurping her smoothie still before politely bowing to the waiter, just as she left, she was pretty sure she heard a body hit the floor.
"What the--?" she went to look back, unaware of the waiter fainting, but decided not to snoop, so she continued walking with Sephiroth. As they walked outside, various stalls filled with games like knocking over cans, fishing for plastic chocobos that held numbers underneath them, most likely a lucky surprise game, then there were shooting games and such other ones.
Kyrie suddenly stopped at a stall with prizes, still slurping her smoothie as she looked up at the prizes, different coloured Chocobos. Kyrie gazed up at them like a kid watching something amazing for the first time, she was pretty sure she was lost now in the crowds of people, but she just remained staring at the prizes.

He merely smiled at Kyrie again. "Why Kyrie, I didn't think you would be hungry after such a big meal. I'd be happy to get you a desert, but I'd rather get out of here before some girls mob me..." He gazed out at the crowd of customers, eyebrows raised as they shot glares at Kyrie. Then he too heard the noise from their room, and looked over his shoulder, a mildly amused look on his face. "Should I have been a bit less generous?" He asked Kyrie in mock concern.
Laughing silently, he began to follow her as she looked at all the games. When she stopped in front the particular one, she was slightly surprised. Why did this game attract her more than the others? But when he saw the prizes, he understood. Well, it seemed like he wouldn't have to catch and train a chocobo for Kyrie later; not if he won her one from this game. "Would you like a Chocobo, Dear?" He asked her, that same bemused smile on his face. He was having fun messing with her now. He could only imagine how straneg it must feel to Kyrie to have the Great Sephiroth calling her 'Angel', and 'Dear'.
He looked at the woman manning the game, ingoring her sudden intake of breath. "How do you play this game and win a prize?" he asked, eyeing the mass of equipment curiously.
ooc: Kyrie, you pick how the game works and stuff. XD My creativity is running low.. *headdesk*

OOC: *smirks* Neheheh, shouldn't have asked me that xDD
Kyrie tilt her head as she continued to slurp her smoothie like a little kid, she blinked whilst looking at Sephiroth, her cheeks had gone pink again. Okay, this was starting to freak her out, why was he calling her such names? Angel? Dear? Seriously! What was he up to? Was this a joke? This date was a set up, right?
She looked over at him, he wanted to win a Chocobo plush for her? Well, it did seem like a very gentlemanly thing to do... but this game? Didn't it seem a little embarrassing...? There was no way a great Hero like Sephiroth would do something like this, no way in hellfire!
Kyrie could see the blush in the woman's cheeks as Sephiroth spoke to her, she was pretty sure the woman's heart was pretty much leaping right now, but why was Kyrie getting glared a--? Oh, right... Sephiroth. "Uhm, well... all you need to do is put your head in this bowl of water and take out three banora whites, each apple is numbered, if the three numbers add up to ten you win a prize! There's a twenty second time limit, so you must hurry," she spoke sweetly to the darling Sephiroth, this just made Kyrie blink...
There was no way he'd do this.

ooc: XD Nice one, kyrie.
bic: Oh joy... That meant he'd be getting his hair wet... Ah well, it would be tended to later. For the first time that night, he was actually grateful for that hair band in his hair. It would help keep the silvery treasure out of the water. He smiled pleasantly and nodded at the woman running the game. "I'm up, then."
He moved toward the bucket of water and eyed each apple carefully. He had never actually tasted one before, despite Genesis' and Angeal's words about how good they were. He leaned over, dipping his face in the water. It felt pleasantly cool... No way was he going to try to grab an actual apple in his mouth though. They were a bit to big for that, anyone who studied the game enough would see. He supposed that was one of the tricks to this game; good judgment on a human's limitations.
He used his nose to shift the apples, allowing him to grip the stems. It took him about 15 seconds to get out three of the apples, and he emerged sputtering from the bucket for the last time. Grabbing a nearby towel, he dried off his face, the reached to examine the apples he had picked. He noticed his hair had gotten a bit wet, and it irritated him slightly.
This had better been worth the trouble... He held each apple carefully in his hands, quickly finding the number cut into each one. One 5, one 2, and one 3. With a broad grin plastered to his face, he turned to the woman. Handing her the apples, he returned his attention to Kyrie. "Which chocobo plush would you like?" He restrained himself from calling her his Angel; again, as she was in the middle of finishing her drink.

Kyrie couldn't contain her laughter as Sephiroth did the challenge, it was just too funny, she couldn't help but cough and splutter on her smoothie, she really hadn't expected him to do this, but it made her smile knowing he'd get his hair wet just to make her happy.
She found her smile becoming more warmer, her eyes softened as she stood there staring at him, a slight wave of emotion washed over her, it made her heart feel slightly warm. Kyrie knew that Sephiroth's hair meant at least something to him, yet he had got it wet just to win her a Chocobo plush... it actually meant quite a lot to her.
Her smile widened as he won and asked her to pick out a Chocobo, looking at them, she saw so many different colours, a white one just as her father explained Sera to look like... it was her favourite colour, but then her eyes focussed upon a black one, just like the one Sephiroh spoke of, Teioh.
"That one, please," she smiled, pointing at the Teioh looking Chocobo, the woman simply nodded as she took down the not so small, but not so large Chocobo and handed it to her, Kyrie smiled and immediately hugged it, nuzzling it with her cheek.
"Thank you so much, Sephiroth!" she beamed, getting on her tiptoes as she kissed his cheek, though this time it was slightly longer than her previous peck. This caught the attention of some, people's eyes widened, she could hear others gasping as she was pretty sure a few girls were trying to burn a hole in her back with their glares, but Kyrie was too happy to care.
Once she moved away, she smiled and walked on ahead, now she wanted to do something nice for him, but before she could, a parade had started, floats began to pass with bands playing and people dancing. Kyrie stopped and watched it go by, but didn't expect one of the entertainers dressed as a Moogle grab her hand and pull her in, wanting her to dance. She saw others being pulled in also, Kyrie soon found herself next to a little girl and the Moogle man, without a care, she began dancing, hugging her new Chocobo.

He had gotten out his comb and begun brush out his wet hair, taking out the hair band as he did so. It felt so much better to have it hanging around his face as usual. He decided to leave it like that. Raze was already going to get into trouble with him, so it didn't matter if Raze protested against the hair band loss.
Then he felt Kyrie kiss him again, and he almost dropped his comb in shock. Did a stuffed chocobo really make her that happy? well, he would make sure she got a real one when she learned how to care for one. He was rather surprised that she had picked the Teioh one, he had thought she liked the white chocobo. Well, it really didn't matter.
What did matter was that their were angry people looking their way. With a irritated sigh, he spoke to those people in exasperation, "Hey! Leave us be! I don't want any of you harming this young lady, got it?!" The last two words were spoken so vehemently that the people made terrified noises and fled. Ignoring the broken-hearted glances of those that remained, he turned around, only just in time to see Kyrie snatched up into the float.
With a slightly worried look on his face, he took a few long strides to get even with the moving float, then jumped. He practically floated to the floor of the float, and stared around. well, Kyrie didn't seem to be in any danger at the moment, so he relaxed, merely leaning on the side of the float, watching Kyrie.
But of course, now he was in full view of the rapidly-growing crowds, and he was still dressed in that horrid suit. "Hell no...." He growled under his breath. Now the float he and kyrie were on was the center of attention. No one seemed to care about the numerous other floats. Rather nervously, he raised a hand to wave half-heartedly at the thousands which were gathering. His small action provoked an uproar as people cheered.
He retreated from the edge of the float, and stood next to Kyrie. "How long do you plan on staying in this float...?" He asked meekly as the crowd demanded him to wave again. He hesitated, before waving once more.
And to his utmost horror, his eyes zeroed in on one of the many giant televisions mounted on walls. Every television that they passed had him on it. He would wave, and the television Sephiroth would, leading to more fan screams from the crowd. More than half of every person there were brandishing papers and pens, begging for his autograph...
He wasn't enjoying this anymore... Now all of the Gold Saucer knew he was here, and wearing a suit at that. He doubted that he would be able to get any alone time with Kyrie now...

Kyrie merely laughed and giggled as she danced with the little girl and the Moogle man, she was really enjoying herself, it was then she heard an uproar of cheering and clapping, she blinked, what had just happened? She looked around for the source of these people's entertainment, only to find them all gazing at Sephiroth... merely waving?
Okay, this was just getting ridiculous. These people sure did know how to obsess over someone, though she could see the struggles Sephiroth went through each and every day with his fans, or followers... whatever they wanted to be called. It was sad that she couldn't have fun for long due to all this, everytime she began to enjoy herself, a fan would ruin it, though she was sure this was how Sephiroth felt.
With a smile, Kyrie slowly let her form break into a thousand feathers, suddenly swarming around Sephiroth in a somewhat magic act disappearance, much to the audiences dismay. It wasn't long until she carried them both away in her feathers, transporting them to a more quiet, less populated part of the Golden Saucer, a light giggle escaped her. "Well, that was fun!" she smiled, trying to brighten the situation as her feathers dissolved back into her pale skin.
She looked over at Sephiroh, hugging her new Chocobo plush, but it was then she heard something not far from them, she turned her head to see a child crying, his mother by his side trying to comfort him, he was crying and pointing up. Kyrie tilt her head at this as she looked up, sad to see a Teioh balloon floating away, had this sad little boy accidentally let go of it? Sadly, the balloon was getting further and further away, until suddenly it popped, this caused Kyrie's eyes to widen.
"That poor kid..." she sighed, still watching before coming to a saddening decision for her, she looked down sadly at her Chocobo plush, hugging it like it would be her last, it seemed upsetting to give away something that someone had gone through hell to win for her, lemme tell you, Sephiroth getting his hair wet was hell.
But right now, Kyrie's happiness didn't matter right now as she walked over to the boy and his mother, forcing a smile on her face. "Hey," she spoke ever so softly, the mother soon noticed Kyrie and hugged her son closer, but Kyrie wouldn't hurt him "I'm sorry you lost your balloon... I like Chocobos, too... just like you..." she spoke slowly yet with a cheerful tone, trying to soothe the boy.
His face then lit up as Kyrie held out her plush, a gentle smile appeared as he looked at her. "Here, you can have it... I can always get another one, but take care of him, alright? His name is Sephy, a very good friend won him for me, therefore he's a very special Chocobo... do you promise to look after him?" she smiled warmly as the boy began to dry his tears and nodded, shyly taking Sephy the Chocobo and burying his face in the black Chocobo plush.
As sad as it was for Kyrie to give away something special to her, it warmed her heart to see the boy happy, she just hoped Sephiroth wouldn't be mad at her. She then smiled and ruffled the boy's hair before walking away, hearing him quietly say thank you only warmed her heart more, it felt nice to be appreciated.
Once she returned to Sephiroth, she smiled at him, hoping he wasn't still bothered by earlier at the parade. Thinking to do the right thing, she gently took his hand in hers, she felt a little sad about giving her Chocobo away, but she was happy to be here with Sephiroth. "Come on, let's go somewhere else," she smiled, leading him to a hall of mirrors.

This was getting ridiculous... All the people screaming were really starting to hurt his ears. He stared out over the crowd, refusing to wave again despite their begging. Why couldn't people just leave him be?! Anger was beginning to boil in his gut.
Then he stared in shock as Kyrie became a cloud of feathers. He was speechless. Since when was Kyrie able to do that? His time off SOLDIER duties was getting weirder. Then the feathers surrounded him, and he felt a pleasant breeze. They were so soft. Then he found himself in a sparsely populated area in the Gold Saucer, and nodded his thanks to Kyrie. She was back to normal, but words were stuck in his throat. he had known Kyrie wasn't normal, but he had never expected this...
Then he too heard the child crying, and watched the balloon until it broke. He looked at Kyrie as she walked toward the child with her chocobo plush, and knew immediately what she was planning. He did nothing, merely followed her to the kid with a smile on is soft face. he heard her words, and the smile became bemused as he gazed from the mother to the child, finally resting on Kyrie. "Black chocobo, Sephy... Your mind works in interesting ways, Kyrie."
He nodded at the child and his mother, smiling again. "Hope you enjoy it, young one." He said softly, nodding farewell to both the child and his mother. As he walked away with Kyrie, he shook his head in mock horror. "My goodness, Kyrie. How generous of you. Next time I have to wet my hair to get you something, I'll remember this." He laughed quietly. "I'm just kidding, Kyrie. I'll get you a real chocobo one day, I promise. Just research how to take care of them first."
ooc: 0_o.... Kyrie, your posts are getting longer... Mine seem to be getting shorter... XD Sorry.
