Far out from the cave where a woman once slept, beyond the gentle spilling waterfall, night had fallen and flowers unusually glowed in the Moon's light. Her beauty was immaculate as her light stretched far as the eye can see along the wide flowery field.
The stars twinkled one by one in their own little melody, though if one gazed close enough, one seemed to shoot by... but this star seemed to be falling, just falling down into the flower surrounded field, the closer it got, the more it started to look less like a star.
It was but a young figure, all that could be seen was her radiance in the light until slowly the light began to dim down, once it did, as she was surely about to plummet to her death, a light wind carried her gracefully into a flower bed where some of the petals scattered in the wind.
Finally, the light had dimmed down completely. But the young girl, no older than five, her complexion seemed to have a very light glow to it, giving her the look of innocence. Once she opened her eyes, revealing big and bright sapphire blue eyes, they intensified the girl's innocence. Her brown hair spread out all around her, if straightened out it would've reached her ankles, parts of it were tied with fluffy white hair bands. At first, she struggled to stand on her own two feet, her eyes opened as if she were exhausted. Her hair had finally straightened out and brushed against her ankles, which made her giggle softly at the touch. She was not clothed, completely naked with only her hair to cover her up.
She seemed so infantile, noticing that no one was around, the young girl then dropped to her knees and rubbed eyes as she began to cry sweetly yet sadly, sobs and hiccups escaped her widely opened mouth. She seemed so lost and alone, she was afraid and confused, she had no idea what to do...

Too long. It had been far too long. This hole in her heart would never heal. Elstan wasn't in her usual attire. She wore a long black dress. A black veil covered her eyes. She looked up at the stars. Looked up towards the Gods. For help for guidance. Not like they would give a monster like her any help. Her true self revealed itself in moments of true anger, or when her Dark Materia was at its most powerful. She felt a presence but ignored it. She looked at her wedding ring and then back at the diamond covered sky. Yazoo. She truely missed him. Then again she had missed Kyrie. The things she had said to the only woman she thought of as her true mother, haunted her like a ghost in the fog. A tear fell from her right eye. Elstan never cried. Not in her entire life. "Kyrie... I'm so sorry." she whispered out into the cool, crisp night. She wished with all her aching heart Kyrie could be here. Then it happened. The cloud of skulls consumed her. Her flesh gone. A scythe in her hand. Her wing free. Azriel was back.

Crickets sang their songs of the night, and the birds were just bedding down in the fields, as a rustle of movement disturbed the calm night air. A lone figure, clothed in black, moved steadily through the tall grass surrounding a lake. In the distance, a waterfall broke the silence of the night with clear clarity and ringing sound.
A mutter, a curse, and then the sound of a lighter clicking, brough new definition to the figure. The glow of the lighter against the end of a cigarette allowed any viewers to see the figures face. Leon Deltova, mercenary for hire and professional assassin, took a breath of the cigarette into his lungs, held it for a minute, then released it into the night air. The smoke curlled and wafted up into the night sky, hanging silver-lined before being caught in a dull breese. The small cloud vanished into the dark, and with it, Leon turned his attention to the night sky.
It was nothing like it was back home. The air was so clear and crisp that it made Leon long for a telescope. Being able to stand under the open sky and stare up into the unknown, the infinite possibilities of the unlimited universe. The stars were like diamonds, shining each with their own majesty and beauty. Shimmering beacons, portals to different life and existance, all outside of the reach of mortal man, for the time being anyway.
It was during his reflection of the universe that Leon noticed the decent of a "star". Coming closer and closer to the earth, Leon's eyes widedned and his combat instincts kicked in. He dove to the ground and covered his head with his arm, pulling a pistol out of one holster. He stiffened his body, steadying his body, reducing his visible beings to those looking only across the area. Because of his black clothing, Leon blended into the dark fairly well, the blackened stalks of the shadow endowed grass helping to hide him in the night.
After waiting for some time, however, Leon slowly stood up and looked about. No visable sign of a collision with the ground, no scorching of the plantlife. Nothing out of the ordinary. Looking up, Leon followed the general trajectory of the decending body. Confirming the direction with the use of the stars above, Leon began moving. Calling upon the innate abilities inside of him, Leon warped along towards the resting place of the star.
Coming upon a clearing, Leon stopped short at the sound of a child weeping. Puzzled, Leon holstered his weapon and moved slowing forward, stepping out of the tall grass and onto the loam of the clearing.
"Helllo? Anyone there?" He asked warrily, keeping a hand near his weapon as he moved forward.

The sound of crying carried over the wind to the ears of the girl with deep red hair, awaking her from where she had stopped to rest for the night. As Artemis rubbed the sleep from her eyes, her mind slowly came to realization to what the sound was, and a hand unconsciously went to her dagger, her knuckles turning white with the force she was exerting. Slowly, she drew the knife so as to not make a sound, and walked towards the sound, scenarios going through her mind.
Somebody was hurt.
Somebody was dying.
It was a trap
However, when she got closer, the distinction of the sound came to her, clear as day.
It was a child crying, a sound she knew too well. Sheathing her knife, she kept walking forward, concern showing on her face. She had always had a soft spot for comforting the crying children of Midgar, and thought that, whoever this child was, they deserved that right as much as the next child.
"Hello? Where are you?"
As she called out, her hand went back to her knife, as she thought she heard a male voice speak. So she stopped, looking around for any hostile entities.

The young innocent continued her crying, her naked body cold and shivering, her long hair blew gently in the wind, but remained covering her body. "Mama... Papaaa!!" she wept, rubbing her slightly reddening eyes as the tears streamed down her cheeks like an endless river, she wanted her parents, yet she knew not of where they were.
She was so scared... so alone... merely no older than five with absolutely no way of defending herself, so vulnerable... but yet... something was different about her... she was... different from other children...
In the distance, she could sense something.... something dark... clouded in a thick blac aura... it was almost suffocating and that was when she stopped crying, she sniffled a little here and there, but her tears had stopped completely. She knew now that she wasn't alone, but that was none relieving.
And then, she heard a voice, shortly followed by another. One... sounded kind, whereas the other... scared her... she didn't want to be snatched away by some stranger... she didn't know what to do.
All she could do was curl up into a ball, her hair acting like a blanket. She either hoped she would either not be seen... or hurt...

Another voice sounded near by in addition to the quieting of the crying. Instinctivly, Leon dropped low to the ground, his hand already pulling the pistol from its holster. Nothing was moving, all except the rustling of the tall grass nearby. Damning the lack of natural light, Leon looked about more carefully. Still seeing nothing, Leon sighed and found only one conclusion.
Reaching up, Leon carefully pulled off his sunglasses. Having closed his eyes prior to taking the sunglasses off, Leon sighed and mentally confirmed the necessity of the act. Opening his eyes, the area around him lit up light daylight in his eye, his Demon's Eye allowing him to see even in the darkest gloom as if it were day. From the outside perspective, people would only see the eye for a split second before being brought into their deepest nightmare, only one-hundred times worsened.
Though it did have its conciquences, Leon was able to gather a large amount of intel. Slipping his sunglasses back over his eyes, canceling the effect of his Demon's Eye, Leon stood back up.
"Alright... there's no need to be afraid." He started, beginning to walk towards his newly found destination.
Leon had scanned the area and had found a small flowered area, shaded by a tree in blossom. Though using his Demon's Eye allowed Leon a view like it would be in daylight, Leon was unable to really get a view of anything inside of the flower patch. It was like something was preventing him being able to see using his eye. Leon did, however, find the position of the second voice, a girl, nearby Leon for that matter, was probably responding to the sound of the child crying.
As Leon moved toward the flowered area, Leon returned his weapon to its holster and calmed his mind set. A smile replaced his frown, and his outward visage began to soften. He walked lighter, carried himself better, and protrayed a kind of general joy in being.
"Now now..." Leon said, coming closer to the flowered area and slowing. " What's the matter? Are you lost?" Leon said, looking around the area.
