The Fallen Feather;;~;No matter whom we love, although I can never hold you again, our precious memories together are trembling in the distance;~ Night time, the black velvet sky adorned with glittering stars... it was... so beautiful. Ah, the joys of this night, patrolling the area with her new short hair, honestly... who does their duties at this time, and as for her hair, she'd be sure to seriously hurt the assholes that tore her from her dearly loved longer hair, that was just cruel...
It'd grow back, thankfully. She'd get use to this length eventually anyway, oh well, back to patrolling the area. She may have been SOLDIER, but she wasn't wearing her uniform, just basically a pair of thigh length grey denim shorts, a white and silver strapless handkerchief dress, but with the front hem cut so her shorts and stomach could be seen, around her waist was a ribbon, but instead of it being tied into a bow at the back, it had two bow-like angel wings in its place. Lastly, followed by flat grey ankle boots with a white trim and laces.
Gah, that damn uniform was just too much for her to wear sometimes, seriously, fighting is a mini skirt with shorts and such, what kind of idiot made the women's uniform? Let alone design it.
Well, so far there didn't seem to be any trouble, no monsters had jumped out to attack her so she was safe to say things were going quite well.
For how long...?

The sky did seem relatively peaceful, until a violet streak flew across the sky. It was followed by a huge blue-white comet looking thing. The violet streak had turned around, and struck the blue-white fireball from above.
Duo was getting tired. He had tried hitting the dragon-humanoid experiment from every angle. Those blue-gray scales were just too thick to do any damage to. It didn't help that the creature was twice his height. He could not attack the wings, as the wings were composed completely of blue-white fire. If he even got near them, his armor would start to melt. He was just too hot, literally, to handle.
The reptilian beast threw a feint punch, then the real one into Duorzum's solar plexus. He fell for the oldest trick in the book, and he was paying for it. Despite his enemy being relatively slow, he was a tricky, dirty fighter.
When the Violet Demon moved lower to avoid a fire-beam from the beast's maw, he felt a huge foot crash down on his torso. The force of that heel drop alone almost knocked him out. Yeah, there would be some internal bleeding after this. Not even the last threat was this bad....
Before he hit the ground, he righted himself in the air, using his wings like parachutes to soften the landing. After that heel drop, he felt like one of the Midgar plates had fallen on top of him. Fortunately, the creature could not see very well at night, so Duorzum used the cover of night to sneak away.
The stupid beast flew away, in a blue-white blaze of fire.

The Fallen Feather;;~;No matter whom we love, although I can never hold you again, our precious memories together are trembling in the distance;~ This place was quiet, just way too quiet, it was so eerie. She felt a shiver run down her spine, this was just starting to freak her out, why did she have to patrol this area on her own? Didn't those morons realise she could get killed or lost out here? Then again, they probably did... jerks!
Man, this was just so bor--! "Holy crap!" she cried, her bored demeanor soon jumped right out of her as she jolted, something had landed right in front of her. What the hell just happened!? Almost immediately she pulled out her weapon, setting herself on guard as she took a step back to see what had just landed in front of her. Unfortunately it was dark and Kyrie was never good at seeing in the dark, besides, this... this thing seemed to blend in with the night.
For hell fire's sake, this was not good. She could barely see, she had just had the crap scared out of her, and she was a little shaky, despite not showing it, but she really didn't want to be here right now.
What was going on?

What greeted the patrolling woman was a pair of vibrant violet eyes from the darkness. Duorzum could not get far, and his human illusion was broken because he was wounded. He would not be able to hide his real form until he was completely healed. Yes, the disguise could take some wounds, but not serious wounds. Duorzum felt his ribs shift a bit. Broken ribs... shit. He'd have to pop them back into place for the hyper-regeneration to heal his ribs properly.
He was guarenteed that if this woman saw him in any kind of light, she would freak out. Duo was not in the mood for this. He was too tired and beaten around like tenderized meat.
The Violet Demon laid there on the ground, shoving his ribs back into place in sickening pops.

The Fallen Feather;;~;No matter whom we love, although I can never hold you again, our precious memories together are trembling in the distance;~ Kyrie nearly froze at the sight of vibrant eyes gazing at her, whoa, that was freaky. Being a teenager, quite a few things weirded her out, but this was just getting too much. Really? A freaking... well, she didn't even know what to call it! Whatever it was it was looking at her and it was strting to freak her out!
Still, what could she do, if it was really that tough it would've attacked her. "Man, why me..." she muttered, kneeling down to it and pulling out an Elixir, biting off the top she then placed the bottle to the thing's lips "uhm... drink this, it'll restore you back to health..."
Uhh... what was she doing? This thing could kill her and she was helping it!? She let out a groan as she realised this, oh come on, she was tired and had been patrolling all night, it was hard to think! "Are you alright...?" she asked, but soon placed her hand to her mouth as if she was going to throw up as she heard his ribs popping "okay... that's gross."
Well, this was certainly interesting. [/size]

After popping his ribs back into place, he grabbed the elixir, drinking the entire thing down. It wasn't like he needed it, but it refreshed him anyway. He felt the ribs lock and heal completely, as well as any internal damage he had taken from the draconic experiment. Now that he was healed, he took on his human disguise. The vibrant violet eyes were still present, just not as bright as in his real form.
"Thank you, although it really was not necessary."
Well, Duo's voice gave him away as a male, but a male what?

The Fallen Feather;;~;No matter whom we love, although I can never hold you again, our precious memories together are trembling in the distance;~ Well, the popping seemed to stop, about time... that was just getting a bit too much. Ah well, at least he seemed alright now. "It's alright... you feeling better now?" she asked with genuine concern as her hand searched around, suddenly coming across his face, she flinched slightly, not realising what it actually was.
She moved her hand up and down slowly, it was soft and smooth, once she touched his jaw, she was aware that what she was touching was his face. Blushing a little, she pulled her hand away. "Oh... uhm, sorry..." she murmured, slowly pulling her hand away.
He didn't seem like a monster, but she didn't exactly want to invade his space and be rude by touching him. What exactly was he? He seemed human, but then again, not everything was what it seems...

He felt her touch his face. Well that was strange. He never had someone touch him without punching him before. Duo snapped out of his stunned stare before rising to his feet. He took note of her appearance, "Why are you out here dressed like that?"
Yes, he could see her just fine in the dark. It was relatively one-sided; he could kill her without even trying. She was out here without any armor on. Not the wisest of decisions. Had that draconic fiend spotted him before, he would have killed her too, without even looking. Both of them would probably have been incinerated on the spot.

The Fallen Feather;;~;No matter whom we love, although I can never hold you again, our precious memories together are trembling in the distance;~ Kicking back and relaxing to a certain degree, Kyrie remained sitting and took her bag off, searching for something. "Time for something to eat me thinks!" she smiled, pulling out a tub "I've been out here for hours, it's about time I ate." She took out a sandwich and began to eat it, offering a piece to the stranger. Anyone would think she was letting her guard down by appearing calm and laid back. That was just the outside, on the inside she was well guarded. She looked up at him when he questioned her attire, couldn't she wear what she wanted wherever she wanted?
"Does it matter? Not like I need to be well armoured in a place like this, I'm not stupid, do you really think I'd patrol an area like this if I weren't capable?" she let out a chuckle before shaking her head, perhaps he hit his head when he landed. Sure, she may have not been wearing some fancy armour or uniform, but looks were deceiving.
"I don't think you're in any position to be questioning me anyway, look who fell out of the sky," she smiled, trying to lighten the mood "anyways, I've faced worse." She continued eating, hoping to gather some energy before continuing with her rounds.
She wondered what to do with this somebody.

Duo snatched the piece of sandwich from the woman, quickly consuming it. Purple energy temporarily discharged from his hair after eating, briefly lighting up the area in a split second before disappearing. Bah... energy discharges. Happened every time he ate something. No matter what it was. He hadn't eaten in months, actually. Duo was too busy getting chased by that fiend to really get anything to eat. He can go a long time without food, but to do any serious damage to anything, he needed energy.
Duo had a hunch that's what his creator knew. He did not respond to the woman, just nod at her.
"With what's going on, you can't be too careful."

The Fallen Feather;;~;No matter whom we love, although I can never hold you again, our precious memories together are trembling in the distance;~ Kyrie blinked as the sandwich was snatched from her, she stopped in mid-chew as she stared at him, well... it had to be a he, but oh how she wished she hadn't looked at him at that moment, her eyes widened at what she saw, finally seeing him for what he truly was, she gulped and swallowed her piece of sandwich at the same time.
No words escaped her for a while as she tried to register what she had just saw, but chose not to question it. If this person, creature... thing? Was going to hurt her, then surely it would've by now, so there wasn't much to be afraid of no matter what he did.
"Ubuhbuhbuh!" she smiled, cutting his words off as she placed her finger over his lips "like I said, I'm fully capable of taking care of myself, sure, I'm young, but I'm trained in swordsmanship and combat, soo... you don't need to be... concerned? I dunno, but really, there's no need to worry."
She never really enjoyed silence, so she spoke. "How comes you fell from the sky anyway? You got beat up pretty bad..." she asked, thinking back at the popping sounds when he was fixing himself up, man, that grossed her out.

He listened to her, and watched her movements. She saw him with the human illusion. If she saw him without it, she'd be screaming. Duo was hoping she would not ask-
Oh she had to ask! So much for hoping!
What to tell her? That he had wings and was flying? He was dragged into the sky? Duorzum did not want to lie to her, but he did not want her to run away either. Hm... well, he had to take a gamble. She would find out eventually what he was anyway.
A pair of amethyst wings spread outward from underneath his violet cloak. He loosely folded them, allowing them to dip a little in a relaxed position. If she had something with light, she would be able to see him better.
"I was knocked out of the sky by a creature that could incinerate water."

The Fallen Feather;;~;No matter whom we love, although I can never hold you again, our precious memories together are trembling in the distance;~ This darkness was just starting to get on her nerves now, she could feel that something was happening and she wanted to know what. "One sec, I think my weapon could help..." she said, summoning the luminous crystal blade, it appeared in her hand and she slowly slide her hand across it, causing the unknown markings on the blade to glow and giving some light to the area.
Her skin seemed to emit a soft glow for a moment before she readied herself to look at him. Once her sapphire blue eyes that soon turned silver focussed on the man, she gasped silently. Well... that was unexpected... she tilt her head to the side as she gazed at him. "Wow..." was pretty much all she could say right now, but either way, she wasn't afraid of him, it was actually pretty amazing.
"Guess we both have something different about us," she smiled as her form soon began to fade into transparency and soft white feathers gently danced around her. She never understood much about this form or why she had it, luckily it wasn't due to her experimentation, so she thought it just run in her family despite never seeing her father like it.
She chose to stay in this form, at least it'd keep her safe, he wouldn't be able to touch her anyway, nothing could without it going straight through her, so she was lucky there.
Upon hearing him mention about the creature, her eyes lit up. Wasn't that the beast she was here to take out? She was told it was one capable of flight, so maybe it was, after all, she had been wandering around for hours. "Really? Well, I was sent here on patrol, apparently some kind of beast has been going around causing trouble to ShinRa..." whoops, did she really want to say that? ShinRa wasn't exactly well liked by some people, but she wasn't afraid to say she was involved with the said company.

He decided to reveal his real form. The purple and black fog appeared around him, lifting the human illusion and vanishing. Violet energy occasionally crackled between the flexible plate-like horns crowning his head. His tail gently swayed, relaxed. When she told him about the creature, Duo gae her a wary stare, "Is the creature you heard of tall? With blue-gray scales? Dragon-like? Wings of fire?"
He had to know. If his Creator's been using his newest experiment to attack Shin-Ra, then he's more dangerous than he thought. Not even the eight-winged terror, Necrux, attacked Shin-Ra. He didn't even go near Shin-Ra....
What was happening? Was it every man for himself now?

The Fallen Feather;;~;No matter whom we love, although I can never hold you again, our precious memories together are trembling in the distance;~ As she held her sword, the luminous light continuing to shine, Kyrie jolted and gasped silently as her eyes gazed back up the man. He seemed to have now taken on a new form, it sent a large shiver down her spine. She wasn't afraid, just surprised to see him like this... was he some kind of experiment? Or a monster?
No... no... monster was too harsh of a word. Before she could say anything, he beat her to it. What he was describing was very close to what she had been told to find, the species was unknown, but whatever it was, it was dangerou--! Wait! And they send her out here alone to deal with it!?
"Assholes..." she muttered under her breath, before speaking to him "yeah, that's what I was told to come here for... but, how do you know?" she eyed him suspiciously, wondering if it was a good idea to still be around him, but then again... she was curious about him now.
Focusing on him on nothing else but him at that moment, she stood and walked up to him, her hand lightly brushing against his face, child-like wonder appeared in her eyes, her curiosity just got the better of her now as her eyes softened when she stared at him.
"What... what are you?"
