Yazoo's impassive look faltered as anger wormed its way through the mask. His gloved fists clanched at his sides, betraying the fact that, right now, he wanted nothing more than to choke the scientist to death himself. "If you're hoping to offend me, I'm afraid you'll be in for a disappointment." He snarled, green eyes narrowed into slits. "I am aware that I am not nearly as impressive as Sephiroth. After all, I am merely a combonation of S and Jenova cells. If anything, I am thankful to have inherited Sephiroth's intelect, and agility."
He stopped himself in order to take a deep breath to refrain from yelling. "I do not need to be "improved", especially by the likes of you. And, even if you try, you'll have three Remnants, a Nightmare, and an assassin who will be incredibly pissed for whatever happens. So, go ahead. "Improve" me. But this creation has no intentions of letting you get away with it for long."

The mutant had a bored look on his face as Yazoo was talking. Something twisted in his mind, and his bored expression quickly changed to a sinister grin. He waved the syringe a bit, "That's what my creations said, but they've either died or wound up obeying me instead. Blah blah blah, that's all I hear. Tell me something I don't know."
He cackled, flipping a switch on the control panel on the side of Duo's tank. The liquid switched from a green to a reddish-pink color. The demon was confused, until he started choking from it. Parts of his skin started to peel and burn away. He was being boiled alive by whatever was in there!
After about a minute of this, the scientist switched it again, effectively flipping it back to the green liquid, "Now will you shut up?"
Duorzum gave him a tired, pained glower in response. The madman started pushing some buttons on the side of Yazoo's tank, "The more challenging, the better the reward, wouldn't you say?"
Bah, he was still going to go through with it. He was taking the chance.

Yazoo's eyes narrowed into green slits. That man had a talent for getting under people's skin, that was for sure. Anger stiffened his suspended form, signaling that even the impassive Remnant couldn't keep his face a blank slate for long.
His gaze slid to the buttons being pushed on the side of his watery cell. At first, confusion registered across his face, quickly replaced by fear as he realized what was happening. Dread seeped into his heart, for he knew what came next. He just hoped that, by the time he was done, he'd still be partially recognizable.

The tank started to drain, a robotic claw attached to a multi-jointed arm sliding along tracks in the ceiling. It none-too-gently grabbed Yazoo, moving to slap him down on the table. Both automatic arms moved away from the table so the scientist could work. Automated restraints locked themselves in place, keeping Yazoo from moving at all.
"Oh don't worry yourself... THIS WILL ONLY HURT A LOT! Ahahahahaha!"
He injected the dark blue liquid into the Remnant's arm, pulling out the syringe and grabbing another one, this one full of a pale green substance. That went into Yazoo too.
"I want you to feel this, so I'm injecting you with a stimulant and a mutagen chemical!"
Duorzum could only watch, unable to do anything. This was one of his worst nightmares. He had gotten someone who wasn't involved, into a hell.

Yazoo sucked in a single, shocked breath through his teeth as the clawed arm bit into his shoulder. Blood ran freely down his body, but he had a feeling that this man did not care one bit. He lie still as a board across the table, for he knew that moving would be futile. He dabated on wheather or not to make some snappy comment in a final attempt at buying time, but he had niether the words, nor the time.
The first injection brought on an onslaught of agony that quickly shot up his arm and spread throughout his body. At first, he had told himself not to scream, no matter how much it hurt. But, it was forgotten as he let a scream rip itself from his lungs. His back arched in pain, yet the restraints limited that range of movement.
The second... well... one can only really say that the agony increased tenfold, and leave it at that. At this point, the pain had subsided to a numbness that left him unable to move, only with his mouth gaping in agony. So much for it being over quickly.

A turret popped down from the ceiling, pointing at Yazoo with two barrels and what looked like the muzzle of a ray gun. The scientist allowed it to charge, smirking at the silver-haired fellow. He moved back from it, "Now to stimulate the mutations with some elements."
The first thing that shot forward was a bolt of electricity from the ray barrel, then the combination of a flamethrower and liquid nitrogen spray. While it was doing that, the scientist approached Duo's tank, "Now... to complete you and turn you into the ultimate destroyer. Something that even the legendary Chaos from which you were based would beg and plead for mercy...."
The violet demon did not respond. His shoulders sagged in defeat and wings dropped from their previously defiant posture. He knew what that meant. There was no getting out of this one unless there were rebels from the inside. He quietly hoped there were.
The giant robotic claws detatched his tank from the wall, carrying him out of the room. The head scientist left the room as well, activating the camera systems so he can keep an eye on two experiments at once. He also activated the A.I. so he could experiment on two people at one time as well.
It was great being a genius.

Yazoo's breath came in great, heaving gasps as the numbness gave way to a gentle pain once more. He wasn't so sure if he could survive this, if he had only been able to barely cling to conciousness after the first round of tests. He went limp, glad that he had this brief respite. His breath caught in his throat as he stared into the barrels of a large gun.
He squeezed his green eyes shut against the new pain that rocked his entire body. The electricity danced throughout him. He moaned, unable to muster a scream, and wretched there. "Stop..." He slurred, struggling against his bonds.
This is it. I'm going to die here. . He thought, letting out a shaky sigh. Or, if he didn't end up dying, he would be horribly mutated beyond recognition. Sephiroth... Kadaj... Loz... Elstan All tose people who cared for him, and who he cared for back... how. Would they react when they found out?

The scientist was busy working on Duorzum, keeping him pinned down on the special table with thick, heavy restraints. He was about to slice open some tissues to see any physical mutations happening when the camera's audio sensors picked up a plea to stop from Yazoo. The scientist buzzed his wings eagerly, and used the nearby terminal to control the robotic arms. The turret stopped, shooting back up into the ceiling. This did not mean he was far from done.
The claws flipped, popping a syringe from each one. Both were full of the same liquid from earlier. The mutagen liquids. He was going to attempt to mutate Yazoo further. The needles went in, and so did the mixtures.
After he made the arms retreat, he went back to working on Duo. The head scientist slammed his stinger-tail down on a button, which made Yazoo's examination table get a little too chilly....

OCC: Er... What exactly will happen to Yazoo after the mutation is done? Will he have a sorta Chaos-y second form like Duo or Vincent?
Yazoo's struggles were becomming increasingly weak as the tests went on. Fatigue had ensnared him in its grip. This was too much for him to bear. A pair of green eyes closed slowly... Maybe he could just lie here and fade away into the Lifestream. Anything to end this.
Another onslaugt of pain jerked his eyes open wide. A scream once again ripped itself from his lungs, though he knew it wouldn't do him any good at this point. He wretched uselessly atop the experimentation table, trying anything in his power to escape.
As the pain began to subisde, a chill began to creep throughout his body. Instead of pain, there was a horrid numbness that rendered him unable to move. Violent shaking overtook his muscles, causing him to shiver uncomtrollably.

(( Actually, that's if Yazoo gets injected directly with Duo's blood and survives, as his blood is very toxic. These mutations are completely yours, and yes, they have a counterpart to reverse the effects. Since Yazoo was injected with different mutagen chemicals, the mutations should start almost immediately. Doesn't mean something can't go wrong. I want this to be fun, for both of us. )) While the busy scientist was supposedly completing his supposedly strongest creation, someone else walked into the room where Yazoo sat. The creature was surprisingly quiet, and surprisingly familiar. He took a look around, thinking about what button did what. He did not want to raise the alarm system, but neither did he want this outsider being mutated like this, especially since he looked so important. The restraints were too close to the skin, so he could not cut them without cutting Yazoo. Hmm....
He turned around, and smashed the button near the doorway. That released the restraints, and folded the automatic arms back into the ceiling. The undead creature was surprised at how easy that was.
A quiet voice started talking to Yazoo, "Hey, wake up. I'm getting you out of here."
Was that Cloud?

OOC: Hmmmmm... I think I'll just give him a second form. That way, he can still have his regular self, but with that hidden just below the surface >:3 D'ya think that Kyrie would approve that?
Hey, wake up. I'm getting you out of here.
The voice seemed to be far away, nothing more than a soft whisper in his ear. He wasn't sure if he was hallucinating or not, for this voice could easily be a sideaffect of the experimentation. One cat-like eye opened slowly, seeing a horribly familiar face staring back at him.
No... Cloud couldn't be here. This couldn't be possible. There was no way... Maybe he was here to finish him off for good, like he thought he had done not too long ago.
Confusion played across his face as the restraints holding him down unlocked, leaving him free to move. He heaved himself into a sitting position, groaning at the effort. Now that he was able to get a better look at this newcomer, he realized that it wasn't Cloud, merely a look-alike who seemed to know what he'd been through. "Who are you?" He rasped, words ended by a violent fit of coughing.

(( You may have to ask her. )) Before he answered, the undead creature took popshots with a Thunder spell at the hidden cameras in the room. It shorted them out, blinding the hiding eyes that had been so carefully constructed. He turned to Yazoo, "I am Project C, and I am helping you escape."
The clouded mako-blue eye studied Yazoo for a moment. He partially turned to the door, then made the "come here" gesture. Someone else stepped out of the shadows. It was an undead Zack.
"Cover our tracks. We can't afford another alarm trip."
The other walking corpse nodded, disappearing around the corner. Now that he was the distraction, the false Cloud grabbed Yazoo, sneaking out of the room and down the brightly-lit hall.

Yazoo hesitated, unsure if his legs would suppourt his weight. He felt weak all over, and any attempt at moving was met with a burst of pain. But, he still had to get out of here. Staying would mean certain death, or a lifetime of painful experiments.
As the fog shrouding his brain began to clear, he realized that Duorzum was still being kept here. There was no way he could leave anybody here to the same thing he'd been through, no matter how little he knew them. "There is somebody else here, too." The Remnant said quietly, sliding off the table and gazing back at the Cloud look-alike. "We cannot just leave him here, or he will surely die. Or, live in this demonic place for the rest of his life." He groped for the gun holstered on his leg, surprised it was still there. "You two stay out here. Once you hear shooting, you'll have to rush in after me and find the other experiment." Ugh. Still hated that word. "And then you will run. Got it?"
With a nod to both, he turned and walked off in the direction Duorzum was taken. The only thing barring his way from the other room was a metal door secured with a high-tech lock. Rolling his eyes, he fired a single bullet into the lock, causing it to explode in a shower of sparks. The door slid open, revealing the experimentation room. Duorzum was secured to a table similar to the one he had been not long ago. The mutated scientist stood there, syringe still in hand. Velvet Nightmare rose slowly to aim at his enemy. He needn't worry about not being able to his him. After all, Yazoo never missed.

The alarms blared. Well, there went the security system! The door lock was rigged! The Cloud copy-attempt bailed, fighting against the guards. Project Z was covering for him. Meanwhile, the scientist heard the door locks being blasted open. Just because the door was thick, didn't mean it was soundproof. When that door slid open, and seeing Yazoo holding his gun, the mutant used his wings to disappear. He didn't really disappear. He was just moving far too fast to be seen by anyone.
The syringe was quickly injected into Yazoo's shoulder blade, then a fist to the back of the skull. He cackled, then seemed to disappear again. Where'd he go? The scientist had left. Those alarms disturbed all sorts of experiments inside the laboratory, and they broke out of their watery cells. Now, to get out, they'd have to cleave their way through different beasts of different abilities!
Duorzum was out cold. Vibrant, glowing violet blood was everywhere, slathering the room with a purple glow. Empty syringes were scattered about all over they tray and the desk. They had something in them before, as the needle occasionally dripped. What'd that mutated madman do?
"We have to leave. NOW."
Bah, where'd he come from?! Wasn't he just down the hall?

Yazoo sank to his knees, eyes and mouth wide open in shock and pain. Whatever was in that syringe overstimulated the effects of the mutations, causing Yazoo's newly created second face to be revealed.
A red mist seemed to blot out his vision, that bloodlust that he was convinced so many other of this madman's creations had. Out of the shoulder in which the syringe was injected, which happened to be the shoulder in which his wing was attatched to, the graceful ebony and silver feathers dissolved, leaving merely a bony frame. From his fingertips extended long claws, made of the same bone as the framework of his wing. His teeth sharpened themselves to a point, and elongated ever so slightly. The cat-like pupil adorning his eyes dialated to the point in which it could not be seen.
Strength seemed to flood back into his limbs once the transformation was complete. Turning his pupil-less eyes to Duorzum, he noted that he was unconcious, lying in a pool of his own blood. Remembering what the imitation Cloud had done, he turned his gaze to a button near the doorway. His newly created claws sliced through it, leaving deep gasges in the wall around it. With a metallic grinding noise, Duorzum's restraints vanished.
Yazoo, looking rather pleased with himself, walked over to where Duorzum lie, and gathered the unconcious man in his arms. "Agreed." He said to the Cloud look-alike in a voice that didn't seem to belong to him. He took off at an unnaturally fast run, motioning for the imitation Cloud to follow.
