Snow rained down from the sky furiously, blotting out almost anything to be seen. Sure, while weather like this was only commonplace in this region, it still didn't make it any more tolerable. To be truthful, Yazoo felt like this was what hell might feel like if it froze over.
Yazoo sped down the ice-slicked roads atop his ebony colored motorcycle, narrowing his eyes against the onslaught of snow that pounded against his face. The wind howled past his ears, flushing them a deep red against the cold. Saying that this sucked would be a gross understatement. His stunning silver hair was already nearly covered in the snow that had stuck to it. The snow had whited out anything more than ten feet away, only adding to Yazoo's growing dread that he was lost.
Though his pride didn't allow him to admit it, he was lost, and he knew it. Well, all roads had to lead to somewhere, right? He revved the motorcycle once more to increase its speed. The machine gave out a feeble splutter and skidded to a halt, finally having broken down from the cold. Frowning, Yazoo tried to turn it on once more, to no avail. The silver haired Remnant had to bite back a yell of frustration as he dismounted the motorcycle and promptly snapped his wing out. Well, at least he had more than one method of transportation.
Giving the single black wing a powerful flap, Yazoo attempted to launch himself into the air. He was able to hover roughly five feet off the ground before the winds plucked him from the air like a leaf and slammed him face-first back into the snow. He allowed the frustrated yell to escape his lungs, but it was quickly carried away by the powerful winds. Angrily, he gripped the handlebars of his bike and marched determinedly forward. He was definitely not going to let the elements claim him. He was far to stubborn to allow that.

Despite all of the white from the snow, and pale teal from the ice, a bright violet ball of energy sped by the silver-haired man, violet energy trailing behind like a comet's tail. It was only a few seconds later that a huge ball of blue-white fire zipped by, fire trailing like a tail as well. The ball of fire was a huge contrast to the constant ice, actually melting whatever was below before it froze again as it passed. The very air sizzled when it flew by. Most of the stuff melted because it flew so low to the ground.
Both were so bright, not even the blizzard could screen them from view. Blue-white fire beams were flung, bullets actually wailed above the howl of the storm, and roars drowned some of it out.
Duo kept the draconic creature on his toes, popping off a few shots at the armored eyelids that the creature had. Where did this thing NOT have armor?! He couldn't even scratch it. The demon narrowly avoided another fire beam from the beast's maw. That was close. A few feet further and he'd have to sadly part with his wings. Then he got an idea.
After looking at those burly arms, he thought that the creature could not reach his own face because of all the muscle. Duorzum holstered his guns and latched himself onto the creature's head, clawing at the eyes while hanging on. The dragon-humanoid bucked and thrashed, trying to get the purple thing off.
Angry, inhuman roars followed, bellowing over the blizzard.

Yazoo nearly jumped in surprise as a bright streak of violet flashed not far from his face, sending him staggering back a foot or two. A trail of fire, blazing a vibrant blue, marked where the two forms had been not long ago. Well, at least he knew which direction they were going. Not even the blizzard could mask the bright lights blazing from their battle.
He shrugged, leaning his motorcycle against a snow-capped boulder and charging quickly after the monster and its pursuer. Finally, something worth his time. He came to a stop just below where the two were locked in aerial combat. Roars split the air, both pained and angry.
Yazoo whipped Velvet Nightmare from its holster, feeling an odd comfort in the cold metal beneath his fingertips. One of the beasts, a dragonoid creature, was being attacked viciously by a figure shrouded in the deepest of purples. He shrugged, deciding that the dragonoid demon was more than likely the opponent in which he should shoot at.
The silver haired Remnant took aim at the beast's wings, for even though his missing was next to impossible, there was a chance that he could accidentally plunge a bullet into the violet colored stranger. His finger closed around the trigger, ripping a hole in both of the demon's wings with a single bullet. He dropped into a roll to avoid a jet of blue flame shot at him, and fired once more.

When struck by the bullets, the blue-gray wings suddenly conbusted, turning into wings of fire. It flew with these, strangely, but since heat made things lighter, it made some sense. The bullets would just pass through them now, and melt completely in the process.
Duorzum skittered off of the creature's head and out of range before it clapped it's wings back, a nova of blue-white fire exploding in all directions. It did not seem to take note of Yazoo being there, so fixed it was on the Violet Demon. Good thing too.
It shrouded itself in fire, covering the entire body like napalm. The beast cracked his huge knuckles, snarling in a thunderous roar of a voice, "Me crush tiny man like bug! Tiny thing bleed all over, and me laugh at it! Me have fun with purple bug!"
A fire beam interrupted Duo's counter-insult, forcing him to land, or get completely vaporized. He chose to land.

Feeling a rush of irritation at the beast, Yazoo curled a lip and decided to fire at another target. Besides the eyes, there had to be another vulnerable point, a chink in the armor he could shoot at. It seemed not to note his presence, which was an advantage at this point. With silent footfalls, Yazoo snuck directly underneath the creature.
Upon a quick survey of its underside, he found what he was looking for. A scar, not too long, but still there, broke a few of the scales and revealed a more vulnerable flesh underneath. Pausing very briefly to reload, he fired three quick shots to the break in its armor.
True to his master gunman reputation, Yazoo had been able to bury all three bullets on target. The only question was wheather or not it would do any true damage. His cat-like gaze flicked to the man clad in purple, who had been forced to land after the creature burst into flames. Yazoo could feel the heat of the fire against his frostbitten face. He chuckled at the thing's idiotic speech. Powerful as it may be, this thing didn't seem too bright.

The creature started laughing at Yazoo. The bullets melted into the squishy skin from the heat, forming a metal scar. Ah crap, he made more armor for himself! When it was still laughing, Duorzum flicked the switch to auto-fire on his guns, and open fired, bullet after bullet smothering the creature's form. Some of the barrels popped black smoke behind the guns, indicating a misfire, but the next one shoved the jammed bullet out. Eventually, the barrels overheated, forcing him to put them back in the holsters. The smoke cleared...
... and the beast stood tall, the armor having repelled the three minute barrage of fire. Not even a break.
Duo was surprised, standing there with his mouth slightly agape. His surprise switched to pain as the creature's tail smashed into the side of his head. That heavy hit made him black out before he even hit the ground.
Now the thing's attention turned on Yazoo.

Swearing under his breath, Yazoo watched as his attacks only aided the thing. Even if it was stupid, this thing had a defense system that his bullets were no use against. Calm down. Everything has a weakness. You just have to find it. He told himself, taking a deep breath and returning the creature's gaze with steely green eyes.
His sharp mind quickly ran through possible scenarios, ruling out the usage of his gun. Chances were, it would only help the beast. Instead, he turned to the usage of Materia. The flames consuming the beast seemed like regular flames, only superheated to the point that they turned blue. If he could somehow smother the flames, he could land a few solid blows before the thing could set itself ablaze once more.
He fumbled around in his coat for a second or two, coming out with three Materia orbs that Loz had given to him after stealing them from Cloud. Fire, virtually useless in this situation, Aero, and Blizzard. Judging by the snow and ice that harmlessly melted from the superheated fire, Blizzard didn't seem to be much of a help either. He quickly pressed Aero into his arm and rolled to avoid an attack.
Wind blossomed around his outstretched hand, increasing in size until it was slightly bigger than he was. If he could use this to smother the flames, he would finally be able to land a good hit. Possibly. It was worth a shot, anyway. He lashed the arm possessing the Materia, which made the wind surge forward around the flames covering the thing's body.
He had seconds to act, maybe less. Whipping out Velvet Nightmare, Yazoo fired a quick round of shots to the beast's eyes.

The flames were snuffed out. He was confused as to why they were snuffed out, looking at himself to find out why. Just by moving like that, he had lowered his head so much that the bullets bounced off of the eye ridge serving as the eyebrow above the creature's eyes. He didn't even notice the bullets had bounced away, so concerned with finding out why he had no fire on him. Wait a minute... he was still distracted?
What an idiot. He was powerful, great in combat, but when it came to reason and socializing, he was dumber than a fish. This was the problem. Letting something this stupid get away.
This creature was formidably frustrating.

Feeling a small surge of triumph at snuffing out the flames covering the creature's body, even thought none of his bullets hit, Yazoo allowed his signiture smug grin play at the corners of his mouth. He quickly fired a round of bullets at its eyes, seeing no other option.
"Idiotic beast." He murmmured under his breath, grin remaining on his face. Now that he wasn't distracted by attempting to find a chink in the thing's defenses, the Remnant realized that the wind had died down, replazed by a gentle breeze that was still frigid. His single wing snapped out, scattering the stunning silver and deep ebony feathers on the snow at his feet. With a powerful flap of his single wing, he launched himself into the air and proceded to continue attacking.

The beast was confused and angry, at both the bullets and the Aero spell. In it's rage, it flew away, in a blaze of fire. The creature would have to ask it's "father" why fire goes away by wind. The fireball disappeared over the horizon. That creature would definitely be back later.
Duorzum was still out cold in the snow. He had taken a rather bad bash to the side of the head. With that creature's strength, anybody who was normal would be dead from the impact, with brain matter leaking out. Luckily, Duo was far from normal. Still, it'd give him something to watch for when fighting that behemoth again.

With a satisfied smile, Yazoo twirled Velvet Nightmare on a finger and stowed it back in its holster. There was no doubt that the creature would be back later, but for now, it was gone. Folding his wing in, he dropped nimbly back into the snow.
Green eyes flicked to where the man clad in purple lie unconcious. He had to admit, he was impressed. Any regular person hit with that kind of force would die instantly, no questions asked. He bent down and shook the man, hoping to wake him.

Duorzum did not dream. His mind was completely devoid of them. It was only a blank space. Perhaps this was the dream? Emptiness? He was told that dreams usually meant something. What did this mean? Lonliness? His future? Well, he'd have to ponder that some other time.
Someone was waking him up.
His first instinct was to lash out when someone was waking him. It was a defensive habit he had developed when sleeping in the wild. A black claw swiped at Yazoo one time, then he popped a violet eye open. The hyper-regeneration was kicking in already, healing any internal damage from the hit.
He sat up, having a minor headache already.

Yazoo jerked back as a claw shot out at his face. Wind brushed his skin gently as the razor sharp appendages whistled only centimeters from where his face had been. "Well, hello to you too." He commented drily, taking a step backward just in case this man saw him as a threat and decided to attack again.
"You took quite the hit there. By the way, the thing is gone. Flew off in a huff after its flames went out." He continued, letting his hand nonchalantly drift over where his gun was holstered. He was not going to take any risks here, especially with a man who could withstand so much damage.

He was slightly dizzy. His other eye popped open, looking at Yazoo with a wary stare. Another man with silver hair. After his last escapade with one, he was getting slightly irritated at how many silver-haired people were showing up. Well, at least this one didn't have eight wings and stank like a pile of bodies. The experiment rubbed the side of his head where the tail connected with his skull. Wow, that hurt.
His wings visibly drooped slightly, most of them touching the snow-smothered ground, "Figured. He's dumber than a fish. Who are you?"
Duorzum went straight to the point.

Yazoo raised an eyebrow, his smug smile remaining on his lips, along with the hint of mischief in his cat-like eyes. Well, this man certainly got straight to the point. "You mean my name? It is Yazoo. And yours?" A silver haired head tipped ever so slightly to one side.
Seeing the wariness sparkling in the violet eyes of this stranger, he chuckled. "Oh, come now, no need to be so suspicious." He mused, "It's just your name." Well, the man's wariness was understandable. Yazoo seemed like the very last person in which anybody else might trust.
