Elstan had just recently moved here. Sure it was full of old people, but it was peaceful. She opened her curtains and looked at the rising sun. She wanted to stay away from Sephiroth. He had pissed her off which was NOT a good idea. Elstan got dressed and went downstairs.
The silver haired woman poured herself a mug of coffee and poured some milk into it and stirred it. She sat down in the living room and switched her television on. More bleak news, so she turned it off. Elstan contemplated on whether to go to the hot springs today. They were great for relaxation and keeping to yourself. After Elstan finished her drink, she placed her mug in the dishwasher and packed her swimwear and headed out of the door.
Elstan got to her favourite spring and changed in a flash. As she stepped in, she sighed in relief at the warmness of the water. She sat down and tilted her head back and closed her cat-like eyes. Suddenly, Elstan couldn't feel the sun on her face. She opened her eyes to see who it could be.

The glory of the fabulous day had no affect on the dark shadow which was bearing down on Mideel. The warmth of the sun, the cool wind which rippled around him; he felt none of it. That was just part of being a monster... The great black wing was extended to its full length, held expertly in a way that he would glide without so much as a natural rise and fall of flight. The wing only occasionally beat against the air to keep him level; he was practically floating as he gliding downward. He passed over what appeared to be hot springs of some sort; his enormous shadow passing briefly over the scenery below. He didn't notice that girl below; as he was too focused on his one task for returning to Mideel...
It was here that that beast had first risen from the ground; where he'd nearly lost his wing to the foul claws of the monster. This was the core of all the trouble which was causing the Planet to moan in agony once more. The monster was like a parasite; feeding off the Lifestream and struggling to escape its host. That was what he'd discovered only recently about the Threat beneath the surface. He was returning here in order to inspect the long scar on the earth where he'd last encountered the monster. A massive trench had opened up, and he'd closed it after forcing the beast back into the wound it had caused. The question was, why had he saved the Planet by doing so? It had been on impulse, and he could only assume it had been Jenova's will... The Planet was his and Mother's to control, mutate, destroy and rebuild... Jenova didn't want to share their toy with some greedy creature. That was the only reason he could think of. Now, he could see the scar across the ground below now; just outside of the town. It still looked like a freshly closed wound...
Soon, he'd landed on the ravaged surface; the black trench coat fluttering about at his ankles. He knelt by the scar; extending a right gloved hand to run across the tumor which looking like a miniature mountain formation. Even through the gloves, he could feel heat coming from the Planet's wound. No doubt, it was infected in a way; thanks to that monster. But there was nothing to do about it... Except wait for the thing to show up again so he could destroy it with the help of those who'd allied themselves with him. But the last battle with the monster had left it dreadfully wounded; it would be far too weak to emerge once more anytime soon; he assumed they had a few months before it tried again. And they'd be waiting... But that battle had also left him wounded; both physically and mentally. Looking over to his right; he could see a patch of dirt which was darkened into an ugly, red tinged brown color. From that spot; he could see drops of the same stain which led into the nearby forest... This was were his wing had been mangled. Even through the pain, he'd still managed to drive the beast back to where it came from; and then retreated into the woods. Of course... Yazoo, Kadaj, and Kyrie had shown up shortly afterward... With a sigh, the Nightmare rose to his feet; and lifted his gaze to the sky. He would move on soon. He'd gotten what he'd come for; so there was no reason to linger here.

"Yo dude! You're blocking the sun!" Elstan said. Then she noticed him. "Holy crap, Sephiroth! Don't sneak up on me like that you idiot!" She yelled. She got out of the spring and wrapped herself in her towel. "By the Ancients, what happened to your wing?" She asked. Elstan shrugged and got dressed after drying herself off. "Right come with me you need patching up." She said and went behind him and started pushing her 'brother' into the direction of her home.
