CHANGES AND UPDATES (5/12/14)

- I'm going through our affiliate/advertisement list and clearing out dead links. There's no point in keeping them there if they are in fact dead. Anything that's been active in the last year will remain, however I've already found a few that have been dead since 2012. While to some it might look like we have a lot of affiliates, as someone who consistently clicks every new banner I tend to spot just to check it out, I would look at the site like "wow, that's a lot of dead affiliates. Their admins really don't keep up with this!" Therefore the clean-up will happen today.
- Advertising. I'm building up an advert with a cool looking image in it (or something to that effect.) And then I'm going to see if I can find any forums that will let me advertise our cause WITHOUT having to join theirs and be active. I don't have THAT much time with my life! If you guys know ANY forums that will let us advertise, please feel free to copy the ad I'll be place on the forum and do it
! - That box we have that's in the header? With our affiliates, staff, etc... I'm going to try and improve that. I've been searching for a good one only to realize... I'm better off building my own at this point. Soooo yeah. wish me luck in not screwing up the coding I'm very rusty on!
- I have spent the last three days when I'm not at work developing a sophisticated awards system. I found a good plug in for Proboards to help me dole out the awards, but more than that I've had to create every damn award in GIMP. I haven't used GIMP in years since I got Photoshop on my laptop. There is a learning gap there. HOWEVER I think everyone will enjoy these hand-created awards once I start handing them out. It will be like a badge system of sorts. I'm making a new post on it as soon as I get the codes up and everything.
- FINALLY. Wednesday night from 7pm-10pm EST (my time) the forum will be closed on maintenance mode. I will post what I'm doing then before midnight tonight.
