Awkwardly, Dezzy wandered into the cafeteria, standing sort of hidden behind a support beam. It was quiet today; most people were well done with their lunch breaks and only a few people were scattered around the lounging area talking amongst themselves. She quickly shot over to the cafeteria line and grabbed her food. Yes, technically she did have access to the VIP lounge and cafeteria, however the food there was always far to rich for her taste buds, and she ran the risk of either running into a scientist or running into Rufus, who still wasn't speaking to her outside of formal emails and requests for weapons and information. As for Reno, he had been forced into a long string of hard missions as punishment for their little... prank two weeks prior. She hadn't seen her red headed friend in a while. She knew he was still alive by the voice mails she occasionally got telling her how bored he was and how he wanted to try her pancake-bacon creation when he got back.
Either way, staying out of the VIP area was safer for her. Usually she had her meals delivered to her room, but she had spend the last three days working non-stop on some new weapon research the President wanted done. She hadn't slept, had barely ate, and frankly looked like crap. Her hair was disheveled and her tank top and pj shorts were rumpled. She sat down at a table far away from anyone else, zipping up her black hoodie and pretending that there was no one else there as she played with her laptop. Nixie lay on the floor next to her, occasionally snapping up the scraps that were thrown at her.
