Angeal walked into Niebleheim. The last time he had been here, he was on a mission with Sephiroth. This time, he was alone. The town looked like it had suffered a lot since the last visit here. The townspeople were either inside or dead, because there was no sign of a living soul in the area.
The water tower was still there though. He remembered a little kid telling him once that it was tainted with blood. But Zack later told him that it was just a materia planted in there, so the kid could get some money. Those were good memories. To bad death claimed them.

Alex landed with a soft thud. He hadn't ever been to Niebleheim, so he thought he'd check it out. He began walking through the desolate town, and began seeing the destruction forged by Sephiroth. "How can one man do so much damage to so many innocent people?" He wondered.
He caught a glimps of a person walking through the town. Alex was on the out-skirts of the town, and Alex began creeping to follow the man. He launched from the darkness that he had blended into and flew into the clearing, stopping the man instantly, with both of his swords out. He finally saw who it was, then smiled. "Hello, Angeal." Alex began, sheathing his swords. "How are you today, old friend?"

Alex landed with a soft thud. He hadn't ever been to Niebleheim, so he thought he'd check it out. He began walking through the desolate town, and began seeing the destruction forged by Sephiroth. "How can one man do so much damage to so many innocent people?" He wondered. He caught a glimps of a person walking through the town. Alex was on the out-skirts of the town, and Alex began creeping to follow the man. He launched from the darkness that he had blended into and flew into the clearing, stopping the man instantly, with both of his swords out. He finally saw who it was, then smiled. "Hello, Angeal." Alex began, sheathing his swords. "How are you today, old friend?"Angeal walked toward the inn. It was pitch black inside. He turned and started up the hill towards the mako reactor. Hoping there was something in store for them. |

Alex began walking towards the Old Mako Reactor. "This reactor still has some juice in it. So we shouldn't linger there too long, Angeal." Alex saw that Angeal had walk towards the in momentarilly, then continue up along the path to the reactor.
Alex walked for a least a good half mile before he stopped to rest. "That was a long way up!" He exclaimed. He looked around the surroundings, and found that there was a stone pillar in the middle of a small clearing where he had sat to rest. Water flowed from it. Just then, sudden memories of Cloud's first travel here flooded Alex's mind. There stood Cloud, Tifa, and Sephiroth around the pillar, and Tifa was picking up something... But, Alex couldn't tell what, until he saw it clearly. Materia!
The vision disappeared, and Alex was sitting once more at the small clearing, rubbing his feet. He chuckled. "I still can't believe I just up and left Dezzy in the Fort." Alex began. "I'm such a good trainer, aren't I?"

He saw someone battling a bomb. It looked vagaully like Cloud. It was. This must be a vision from the past. Is that what Alex was seeing when Angeal had just topped the hill? Did you see something too?There was definetly something wrong around here. Maybe there was a mako leak from the reactor. That can be the cause of flash backs. Let's keep going. The sooner we get to the reactor, the faster we can get out of here. |

Cal walked quietly in the distance, watching as the two powerful warriors walked onward. He didn't even know why he was here. A long time ago, he and one of the men had a fight in the old ShinRa hq. Actually, they even killed a few of his copies before the man left. His name was Alex.
The other, who he'd been trying to find for years, was finally within reach. He was Zack's friend and mentor, Angeal. Cal had been wanting to find Angeal for a long time, if only to discover the whereabouts of his supposedly deceased childhood friend Zack. Oh, how desperately did he want to tell Zack that it was his family who nurtured Cal back to health. Oh, how he wanted to tell him he was sorry for not being there to save his life, like he should have been. Oh, how he wanted to say so much...
But first thing's first. He needed to talk to Angeal. Hopefully, that Alex character would actually remember him...
Not likely. He'd only met Alex once, but he knew the warrior's reputation. It's been often said few are his equal in combat, but to a man like Cal, he treated such talk as an exaggeration. He was, however, intrigued by the fact that they were all considered super-human. Did that, in a way, make them all a lose-knit family? He never really thought about it before, but it'd explain why they kept running into each other. Or was this just another of Pryme's grandiose plans?
Cal moved in closer, now only about fifteen feet from the pair. Now, to say what needs to be said...

Alex could figure that he would be followed eventually, because now that he was an ultimate upholder of Natural Balance of both Light and Dark, people would go after him to learn his abilities and maybe even kill him. He ignored it for now, and walked on.
"C'mon Angeal, let's go." Alex said, walking. "This place needs a full examination. Darkness lurks here..." He still ignored the other person, even though it did irritate him slightly.

He still ignored the other person, even though it did irritate him slightly. Angeal continued up the hill. They would be at the reactor soon, and they might need to fight there. He had to be ready for anything, even Sephirtoth could be there for all they knew. He hadn't been seen in a while, and there was a good chance he was hiding either in the reactor or Shinra Manor, which would be their next stop. Th Buster Sword was still in the perfect condition that it had been when he was supposedly "killed". But that needed to happen. If not, Angeal would have turned into another Genesis, with copies of himself and bent on the destruction of the world. Luckily, Zack ended that, and the next thing he knew, he was alive and in his hometown of Banoora. After meeting and training Alex, Angeal went on his own path until today. Now, the past would become clear. Reaching the final point on the hill, Angeal could see the reactor. It was just as rusty as it had been almost twelve years before when he had been there on a mission to check and make sure it wasn't giving off mako radiation. The check went well, and everything was okay. That was until Sephiroth went missing. He was found in Shinra Mansion, just like when Zack was here. It was strange how history had a way of repeating itself. Alex! Hurry up! |

Alex had lost himself in the old building's appearence. It looked older than, well, Alex himself, and Alex was almost 3000 years old! It was an ancient relic to the people of this world, yet most have never seen nor met Alex. He began walking on following Angeal. The building was MUCH BIGGER in person. Alex stared in awe at the once potential energy of this monsterous contraption.
The person still followed them, and Alex had had enough. Then and there, Angeal got a glimps of Alex's Devil mode, as he turned into the Dark Fury mode: the Devil mode. He spun around, his sword was whipped out as he spoke. [glow=red,2,300]"ALRIGHT! WHO THE HELL ARE YOU AND WHAT DO YOU WANT, LOWLIFE!?!"[/glow]

"Look. I didn't come here to fight," said Cal. "If I did, rest be assured I would've brought an army along. I'm looking for a man named Zack Fair. Angeal, I need to know if he is still alive. If so, then this message must get to him. It concerns all of us, even our enemies."
Cal pulled out a cigarette and lit it. Obviously, he was getting through, to a degree.
"I grew up with Zack Fair, so his well being is very important to me. Now, to get to the point." Cal blew out a big cloud of smoke, then continued "an ancient being calling himself Pryme has been tracking all of the super humans on the planet for thousands of years. This includes everyone from you two to Genesis and even Sephiroth. The point is, Pryme is building an army using our genetics, and has personally been responsible for manipulating nearly every major war in our existence to his benefit. As a matter of fact, if it weren't for Pryme making Jenova's corpse easy to find for the ShinRa, me and Angeal probably would be a lot weaker than we are today. This is a warning. Be aware of this new threat, because his power is growing exponentially, and he is already stronger than any of us."
Cal finished his cigarette, and stamped it out. "Oh, and Alex? Since you are the strongest as of now, he is at least equally as powerful as you, if not even more so. Just thought I should let you know."

Alex shurgged, reverting back to normal. "If he is, in fact, making an Army of us using our genetics, he cannot be as powerful as me. If he aquires our genetics as we enter this world or are born, we aren't as powerless as he may think. He didn't get my demon side yet, because if anything attacked me or penetrated my body, I would know, and so would he."
Alex continued walking towards the Mako Reactor. "In any case, Cal," Alex continued, remembering his name. "I'm going to check this reactor for even more answers to how Sephiroth came about and why he turned insane. If you want, you can come along and search for answers." Without turning his back, he beckonded Angeal to come along.

"Hmmm..." said Cal, "Pryme is stronger than sephiroth. But I guess, since no one believes a mercenary these days, you'll have to find out yourself. I've seen the guy use some of the strongest people in our world for target practice..." Cal briefly remembered what Pryme did to Cloud. He didn't kill him, but the poor man hadn't known what hit him or even where from.
"Nonetheless, I want to know more about Sephiroth too..." said Cal. "He's supposedly attempting another hostile takeover, at least according to the information I gathered from both my encounters with Genesis and Pryme. I really need to stop running into overly-powerful psychotics."

Angeal followed the other two into the reactor. It was dark inside and smelled strongly of death. All around the ramp leading to the top of the reactor were little pods about the size of a curled up person. One was open.
That must be the pod that Sephiroth came out of. Angeal says pointing it out.
I knew that he was made out of mako, but not that he used to like this.
Angeal was looking into one of the unopened pods now. There was a strange monster like creature inside it. Staring back at him. No wonder Sephiroth went crazy. Anybody that came in here would. It was demented in so many different ways, with the creatures and the bloodstains along the ramp.
Oh, and Cal. Zack is dead. Angeal replied.
He might be around, but not as his former self. He might have some back like I did, but I've been searching for him and haven't heard anything at all.
Walking up the ramp was an open door. Something evil was behind it. Angeal could sense it.
Guys, look at this.

Alex was too busy thinking of the powerful darkness inside of him and how powerful it might become. The darkness was something completely new to him, but he began to master it very quickly. Then, he followed Angeal's gaze, and was shocked to find what the thing was.
Alex was standing next to Cal, and Cal wasn't looking at the pod at the moment. Alex hit Cal on the shoulder then pointed in the direction of the pod that Angeal had mentioned.

What the hell? I thought Jenova had left this reactor. How did she get back?
Angeal was confused. Last time, he heard about Jenova, she had been released and was around the world destroying things. This was strange. Never had he heard of this happening. There was somebody behind this.
Sephiroth had definetly been here before Alex, Angeal, and Cal. And he could still be here. There was a back room in the reactor where Zack and Sephiroth had fought, and that was an ideal place to hide. If he wasn't here, then he was at Shinra Mansion.
We have to keep looking for Sephiroth. We need to find him and kill him.
