((OOC: This is the closest place I can find to where the labs she was made in is.))
Damani sighed softly, climbing down the last cliff ledge that overlooked the desolate-looking warehouse that sat in the valley between the mountains that separated Midgar from the Junon/Fort Condor area. It had been a long journey, but at least she hadn't made it alone this time. Even though she hadn't been as nice as most companions probably would have been, she had secretly enjoyed having someone to be cold to.
She turned to look at Alex. "Well, this is it... My home, if you could call it that," she said turning back to the labs that had been her home for less that a year.
Only less than a week ago she had discovered she had some sort of magic within her, as well as a voice that was blocked out by the computer in her mind. She wanted to come back to see if that computer was removable. She had brought Alex along with her, so that if she could get rid of the computer, he could train her how to use her magic. "I could have gone without having to see this place again, but this is for the best. We should be safe here..."

Alex hadn't spoken a word since that day. His heart was filling with Darkness, and was battling the Holy within him. Am I going to become her? He wondered. No, I can't. I'm not that evil. He clenched his fist. He looked at the abandoned warehouse.
"So, that's it then, huh?" His voice had been rasped from using the dark too much. His voice was now a more deathly hollow tone. He stood up from sitting in the air. "Let's go." He began to slowly glide towards the warehouse.

Damani nodded, heading toward the building. She was slightly worried about him. As the journey had worn on he had seemed to get worse, darker almost. She hoped that there was something her father could do to not only help her, but him as well.
She pushed open the door, not phased by the fact that she would most likely be shot at by the guards her father had long ago hired. It was quiet though. (Must be because it's safer around here during the day,) was her only unworried thought. She walked through the halls, following a distinct path. The halls were like a labyrinth with only one way leading to the staircase that would take them below to the inner labs. She figured Alex would follow her; so far that hadn't been an issue. She stopped at a crossroads in the hall, trying to remember which hall to take. She was fairly sure it was left, but she searched through the computer part of her mind for the map she had long ago memorized.
((I couldn't think of anything else to put...))

Alex followed Damani blankly, not caring if he were killed on sight or if she would betray him or anything. His fears and, well, the rest of his emotions had disipated over the week that they had traveled. But, underneath the tough, blank exterior, a war raged inside of him.
The emotions that he had once so greatly expressed were now in a courtroom-like place within Alex. This was the emotional congress inside him. The meeting was called to order as the emotions took their sides. It was lead by Alex's soul. There were 2 sides: those who sided with the Light, like friendly, kind, love, and the like, and those who sided with the Darkness, like hatred, anguish, envy, rage, and such.
"This being can only be maintained when both Dark and Light 'Shake Hands,' and become One within my soul." Alex whispered underneath his breath. His normal self was comming across; as the Normal Alex was the entity that both the Dark and Light must fuse with.
Damani had come to a stop, and Alex almost bumped into her. He took a few steps back, to give himself room. Then, he began.
He turned into the Devil Darkness Mode, and maintained it for a few minutes. Dark ghosts began to form around him, but they weren't ghosts. They were his regrets. Slowly, they enclosed him, and he knew what to do next.
"I, Alexander Kamon, call upon the greater beings in Heaven, and the Damned within the very epitimy of Hell! Unite within me to maintain the Peace that must prevail to continue life amongst ALL human and human-kind!" He looked down, and both Light and Dark souls formed around him, spinning rappidly. "NOW!" The ground shook, The Light and Dark whirled, and the room turned into a mixture of Black and White.
Unsheathing his sword, he grunted and forced it upwards, with both hands upon the handle. All the Light and Dark flew straight into his sword, and began to channel through his body. And, just as suddenly as it had began, it all ended. Alex remained as both half black with one white eye and half white with one black eye for seconds, then reverted back to normal. He smiled, then fell to the floor.
((OOC: Sorry if it's a little hard to understand. I did this all in under 5 minutes ^_^))

Damani was so caught up in her searching process she lost all sense over herself for a few minutes. (Dammit... which way was it? I haven't been gone from here so long that I forgot, have I? How could I even forget?! I have a bloody computer as part of my brain!) she sighed, shaking her head. (Should I trust my gut feeling? Is this what she meant when she told me to trust myself?)
She turned to speak to Alex, only to notice him lying on the floor. "Alex?" she knelt down next to him, shaking him softly. "Alex? Wake up! Alex? Hey, stupid!"
She glanced around, searching the ceiling for the security cameras that should be somewhere around. (Dammit, that's right! Father said that as a security measure they were planning on hiding the new cameras!) She stood up, waving her arms and jumping around in front of a place that she assumed a camera would be conveniently hidden. "Father?! Father, it's me, Damani! Help!" she said, exasperated and feeling like a fool. She felt like she no longer knew this place anymore. Everything had been changed in only a couple of months. "Please! I need help, as does my friend! He needs help and I need to get this thing out of my head! Please!"
She pointed to her head and then leaned up against the wall. She had gotten very little rest since using the magic she had recently discovered that was hidden in her body. "Father..." she murmured, sinking down to the floor and watching Alex lay on the floor as she faded into the sleep that she was too tired to avoid.
Two men in white coats and covered faces stood just around the corner from them, watching for any danger. "Is that her?" the one with a deep voice asked.
"No doubt about it. How could we ever forget Damani? But that guy... who is he and how the hell did he manage to survive traveling with her for any amount of time?" the other asked.
"Who knows... We better take them to the doctor..." They picked the two fallen people up and carried them off down the way the scientists had come from.
((OOC: When they wake up they'll wake up in the labs))

Alex was still unconcious. His mind fluttered. "What WAS that?" He wondered in his mind. "How did I know the words? What did it do? Am I any stronger? And... what about Damani? Is she alright?"
"Dammit, stop asking questions!" Alex yelled. His eyes flew open. He was in a lab somewhere, with doctors' voices heard nearby. He jolted up and realized that his shirt was not on him. He looked around frantically, found his shirt, and but it on. "They must not have started their experiments on me yet: I didn't find any tubes or wires running in me."
He continued to look around. Damani was on another table. He didn't bother waking her, she needed her rest. He decided to leave through the door that wasn't so hard to find. He began to walk outside, and he suddenly froze in place, trapped by the gaze of countless doctors.

((OOC: I'll have Damani wake up in a post or two..)
The doctors stopped their discussion on what to do with their two guests when Alex came through the door. The oldest of the scientists, with graying hair and thick rimmed glasses, smiled kindly at him. "You're awake and moving around!" he said with a jovial voice. The other scientists eyed Alex nervously. "It's been a good 24 hours. Damani explained your situation to us earlier when she woke up. She's very tired, and... well... I think it would be best that she rests before we explain everything to her. She's not very mentally stable because of the computer in her head..."
He shook his head with a soft sigh. "How are you feeling, by the way? From the way Damani explain it you've been through a week of hell!" he chuckled, waving the others away. They left without asking questions. "Forgive my rudeness, I have not introduced myself yet, have I? I'm Dr. Koimura. Damani calls me 'Father'."
He moved around Alex, going through the door and motioning for the man to follow him. "She's a very special girl, even moreso than she thinks... If she knew the power she holds within her..." his sentence drifted up as he stared at the sleeping girl.

Alex followed Dr. Koimura. His gaze also fell upon Damani. He stood there, quiet for a moment. Then, he spoke. "I have looked into her mind." Alex began. "The computer isn't much of one, yet more of a virus trying to corrupt the entire system. Whatever magic she had cast back in the jungle must have been the only way for her human self to make one last attampt at breaking free."
He looked down. "I wasn't much help in that either. All I really did was let myself be carried away by my need to control my Darkness." Alex looked up at the aged doctor. "She still needs to learn her light and dark as well, not to mention the powerful magic she can learn. I have already offered to train her when she gets the computer removed."
He smiled. "I'm sorry, I haven't introduced myself yet. I am Alexander Kamon. But please, call me Alex. I am an Angel, and a harbinger of Darkness, a Demon. I'm a, basically, Fictional Character, a Razgriz: Harbinger of Death at first, then later a Savior."

The old man nodded, smiling softly down at the girl he called his daughter. "I found her lying dead on the ground. There were signs of a large battle nearby. She was a beautiful girl. I was studying ways to move souls into another body; my daughter had been brain dead for so many years by then, I wasn't sure it would work. Her mind and soul were perfectly intact. I put the computer in there to monitor everything. Unfortunately she lost most of her personality. The computer blocked out quite a few of her emotions and almost all her memories," he said, softly touching the girl's pale arm. "I made up a story about her and her mother; what she never realized was that her 'mother' is actually her. How do you tell someone mentally unstable by definition that the memories she was seeing were that of a woman that was dead? She was so confused when she first woke up... All the sudden though she started seeing places that she was so sure she had never been... The computer wasn't doing what I wanted it to; block out her memories so that she could start a new life completely."
"Destiny Fayth was very well-known and very popular. She lost her parents and home to Meteorfall, and lived in Kalm afterwords. According to the reports I've heard from anonymous sources, she was the supposed lover of Sephiroth for a small amount of time. Theories are that he snapped and killed her," he shook his head. "Her injuries said otherwise... I salvaged her mind and soul and put it in my daughter's body. I wanted nothing more than to see her walk, talk and laugh again. I realized after it was said and done what cruel thing I had done, to both Destiny's soul and my own heart. She was not the same. She didn't have the ability to laugh; she couldn't feel happiness at all."
"So now I'm going to remove the computer as best I can and pray that it'll solve the problem at hand. Otherwise her magic will kill her in due time," he turned to look at Alex. "After I remove the computer there will be no darkness to control; her predecessor's soul was so pure that it could change the souls around her just by being near her. There's a slight possibility that it could even change yours. She needs help to learn her abilities and her limits, but are you sure you want to risk being changed completely like that?"

Alex listened to Damani's sad story. "In any case, it would be impossible for me to be changed." Alex began. "I am un-changeable. Even on this world, I cannot change. God forbids it, therefore he made me immortal. I can sustain damage, and even die, but I will always come right back. The Prophecy says that I cannot die eternally, and I will be reserected into another human. My heart, my soul, but not my mind. I will basically, live forever. Just in another body.
"You see, I am the keeper of a Prophecy on Earth, where I come from. I came here with the help of my long time friend, Leon, and we've been exploring this world vastly. Before I met him, long before, I was the holder of Heaven on Earth, the Savior prophecized. My family had been killed between the fight of the Evil and I, a long time ago, in 18 A.D. of Earth Years.
"When I came here, it was 3018 A.D., so I am 3018 years old. I have complete control over the Darkness and Light within me, now anyway. I am no longer requiring that you help me, because I heard Damani say that I needed help."
He stopped for a minute, thought, then raised a confused expression. "Doctor, what IS Damani's REAL name?" Alex turned to face him, questioningly.
((OOC: I'm not even sure if "questioningly" is a word, but whatever))

((OOC: Yeah, it's a word! ^_^))
"She has multiple 'real names'. Damani Fayth is the name of this version of her. The body and the soul together make up Damani..." the doctor replied. "The name of the soul and mind is Destiny Fayth... Her body's name is Aiku Koimura... Damani translates to 'Tomorrow'... I felt it suiting because at the she was, well she still is, the future for both girls that had their lives cut far too short."
The subject of the conversation shifted a bit, her eyes fluttering open at the sound her name and it's meaning. She sat up slowly, still a bit tired, looking up at her 'father' and Alex. She swung her legs off the edge of the table. "Father, Alex," she nodded at them.
"Welcome back to the world of the living," Dr. Koimura smiled at her affectionately. "We were just talking about you!"
Damani nodded. "Always talking about me behind my back," she murmured, making an attempt at humor, though it was lost in the monotone of her voice. "So, can we get this computer out of my head or not?"
((OOC: Sorry, I'm a bit uninspired right now. It'll get interesting once Damani goes into one of her mentally-unstable rages))

((OOC: I have no idea if it's alright if I used Damani's alternate, or real, name.)) Alex smiled at Damani's awakening. "Good to see you're alright, Damani. Or, should I say, Aiku Koimura." His original friendly smile was back, and he felt like himself once more. But, something didn't feel quite right, like something felt... different... He felt a pain in his shoulder. A sharp pain, that felt like a dagger had been thrust into his arm. His eyes dialated, the pupils began to shrink, and he felt possesed. He looked to the wall opposite them. "There is a great evil heading this way." He walked over, slowly, and saw images of a dark being walking towards them and the old warehouse. Alex put his arm to the wall, and acted as if he could feel the vibrations of the being's footsteps. Alex looked back. "We have to get outta here! Everyone!" He looked back to the wall, and began to phase through it. Once on the other side, into a hallway that lead to the exit, he broke into a sprint. He ran through walls, walking right through them as if there weren't any walls, and eventually came out of the building. There, he can draw his sword. A vast grouping of darkened demons began heading to the warehouse, with only slight movements. Alex closed his eyes. Damani! He shouted in his mind. He had actually made a telepathic link to her through his mind, penetrating past the machinery in her, and straight into her actuall mind. Get the computer removed, then get everyone outta there! I'll hold the bastards off till you get out!Alex ended the link, and readied his battle stance. "Alright... WHO'S FIRST!?!" He charged as they did, and Alex engaged. ((OOC: Maybe this is the inspiration you needed! A hard-core battle brawl that you can join in within a few posts! I know I needed this.))

Damani blinked as Alex left. "Great evil?" she looked at her father. "You should go. You're too important to lose."
Dr. Koimura simply watched the other man leave. "They're already in preparations to do the surgery, Damani, we can't simply leave, besides, it won't take long. I have a feeling your going to need to use Destiny's magic in order to fight these battles," he turned away from her and headed toward a different door.
"Destiny? Destiny as in Mother? What about her magic? And what does it have to do with me?!" Damani followed a confused look on her face.
[/i]{Damani!! Get the computer removed, then get everyone outta there! I'll hold the bastards off till you get out!}[/i][/color] Alex's voice echoed through her head, causing her to stop and look around. She realized how little she knew about the man and his powers. It sounded like he was serious, though and she gave an assured nod, moving to catch up with her father. "We need to get this done and then get out of here..." she told him, grabbing his arm and almost dragged him to the room where she knew they were going to operate.
"After everyone is evacuated I'll go and help Alex however I can," she said, laying down on the table. "Just get this damn computer out of my head."
Dr. Koimura nodded."There's no guarantee that you'll live very long without the computer, and I can't guarantee that you'll awake in time to help him," he told her solemnly, through a lab coat on. "Are you sure about this? Everything else can be explained later..."
Damani nodded. "I've never been so sure about anything in my life."
Dr. Koimura smiled at the girl. "Good. Give her the sedative."
((OOC: I'm just going to skip ahead to when she wakes up probably about an hour and a half later just because I don't want to describe the process of the surgery and everything, yet I really don't want to just leave it there! ^_^))
The room held very little light in it. She wasn't sure whether to feel afraid or not. She wasn't exactly sure where she was either; she had very little recollection of this room and. She sat up slowly, her head pulsing slightly. She felt magic pulsing through her veins, something she felt comforting much to her surprise.
All her memories came crashing down her at once; Midgar's destruction, the little diner she had worked at part-time, the chance encounter with the very man that had attempted to destroy the planet... She shuddered as that opened up another whole set of memories of every moment spent with him before her death. Then her mind flashed through the memories she had of her new life. "Damani Fayth... My name is Damani Fayth," she said rubbing her left temple and swinging her legs off the bed. "And my name is Destiny Fayth... Dezzy..."
"Good, you're awake!" Dr. Koimura came up behind her, startling the girl. She hadn't even noticed him. "You'll be a bit dizzy, but we have to go now. Monsters and demons alike are flooding through the halls. We're safe for a few more minutes, but you're in no condition to fight."
Damani... Destiny... Whoever she was now, nodded, following him out of the room. She could hear the noises of demons fighting each other. Dr. Koimura grabbed her hand and began to ran, leading her up a set of stairs that would take them to the ground floor labyrinth. The confused girl stopped. "Wait, Alex! He can't fight all these things by himself!" she said, turning around.
"No! You must come with me! You can help him later, but you need to get your bearings. You're useless if you don't know at least one spell to stop these things, but it's pointless to sit here in the hall and attempt to teach it to you!" the old man said. He saw a flash of green in her eyes and a shock flew from her hand to his.
"I can fight," she said, her voice changing slightly. Since she had woken up her voice was no longer the monotone drone it had once been, he had taken little notice of it. Now in just those three words an electricity had lit the air. How could such simple words hold so much power and emotion? He sighed, nodding.
"Go, child... Help him."
Damani nodded, turning around and heading down a connecting hall, following the feeling of Alex's soul. A demon stepped in front of her with a sinister grin on its face. Without even thinking, she released a powerful orb of light that decimated not just the demon but the wall behind him that revealed the bright light of the outside world. She stepped out into the bright light that belied the dangerous situation, two orbs, one made of light and the other of electricity.

((OOC: Wow... Hate to see it if you had included the surgery.))
Alex was fighting the demons and monsters for about an hour and a half. He considered it remarkable that he didn't feel at all tired. He knew that some of the demons had gotten through, but the warehouse defences could take care of them. It seemed that the monsters were too pre-ocupied with Alex, and they all encircled him. Most didn't care about the doorway and what was inside, because they only wanted to end him.
Alex slashed and evaded at least one million times since he began. Is it the darkness that's giving me the undying will to fight? He thought to himself. It's gotta be! He fought on, without a single doubt in his mind of stopping. Suddenly, from behind him, the wall blow out. Damani stood there, with her hand outstretched.
A monster quickly sprung for her. "WATCH OUT!" He yelled, as he sliced it in half. "Be careful!"

Damani watched him slice the monster in half. She gave Alex a stunning smile at nodded, shoot her lightning ball right past his head through a couple monsters behind him. "Be careful yourself," she replied, her voice crackling with power. "I don't want to be saving your ass like I save everyone else's!"
She shot her other ball at another group of demons that disintegrated. She grinned. "Wow... who knew I had this much power in me?"
