"Yeah, whatever Squall." Alex said as he pulled out a blueprint for the Ragnarok. "Sorry, Miss, uhh... I'm sorry I never got to know your name." Alex instantly directed his attention to the blueprints, and began to mumble to himself again. "Hmm... If I replace the converters, no, I put some new ones in before we left. Let me check the ship." Alex pulled out a hologram projector which created a hologram of the massive airship. "Harvy, bring up the time machine status and the hologram of the ship's time machine itself."
"Coming right up, Alex." Harvy was one of Alex's early creations. Harvy was a computer designed to protect and help Squall, Alex, and their other friends. The projector showed the gigantic proto-type A-S 17 Time Machine (A-S means an Alex and Squall creation.) Alex sat there, examining the machine, and he found the problem. "There it is! It wasn't the converters, it was the fusion generator." With closer examination, Alex found that a fuse had broke during the entry. "Well, I'll fix it later. But for now, I'm just gonna sit back and relax."

Tifa shook her head as if she was saying there really isn't any need for that as the younger man started apologizing. She also shrugged at the red cloaked girl who inquired as to what sort of experiment they were up to. Overhearing him talk about converters and fusion generators seemed to have confirmed her thoughts Maybe if she gave them Cid's phone number or something... that might've helped, she thought. Now if she actually knew where Cid's number was... the office was always cluttered with all the delivery reciepts, bills and whatnot.
[glow=blue,2,300]"It's Tifa."[/glow] she answered as the man inquired for her name. During that moment, the short blonde-haired girl was inclined to leave but Cloud had offered her to stay. In truth she wanted a little time alone with Cloud and Vincent rather than to be in the company of strangers and those she was unfamiliar with. But wouldn't that be just a little selfish? She went back behind the counter gathering all the food stuffs that Cloud managed to cut up.
[glow=blue,2,300]"You know him?"[/glow] she asked with a raised eyebrow and a sort of smirk. What a small world. Everyone seemed to know one another is some odd way...

"Yeah i know him. He's the arrogant moron who took on a group of Ruby Dragons with out concidering the possibilities that they can easily overpower one single person no matter who they are and where they come from." Squall said to Tifa. " Cloud knows this but wont admit it, because he is so block-headed." Squall said with a laugh. Then he took a quick drink and finished off his beer. " Here Tifa." Squall said as he handed Tifa a bag. "that should be enough to pay off our drinks and a little extra to keep this place running." Squall said as he turned.
Before he left however, Squall stopped and took a deep breath. "Mmm... something smells good. Could i help with dinner, if its not to much to ask." Squall said with a quick wink to Alex

*Cloud rolled his eyes at the comment that Squall made. He said it as if Cloud had no experience in fighting. He wasn't gonna comment back, he didn't need to. Cloud scratched his head a little and went back to work. All this time he had been away must have affected Cloud, even though he'd hate to admit it. Cloud defeated Sephiroth and since then he felt that he had been slacking in his skills. After this, Cloud would have to go out training. After cutting a few more foods, he headed to Tifa with the big bowl of sliced vegetables.*
"Is this enough..."

Tifa didn't recall Cloud mentioning a time he nearly got killed in Nibelheim mountains and was rescued by this man. Although, rushing head onto a fight against a pack of Ruby Dragons did sound like Cloud. And not mentioning this in the first place was only understandable... at least in the chocobo-colored haired man's point of view. She shook her head with a smile, rejecting the bag of money he offered. If what he said was true, that he did save Cloud's life, then she felt as though she was the one who owed him something.
[glow=blue,2,300]"It's on the house. Besides..."[/glow] Looking over her shoulder to find Cloud with a bowl of sliced vegetables in hand. She nodded in response to Cloud's question and took the bowl and said to Squall before heading over to the cooker [glow=blue,2,300]"I've got all the help I need."[/glow]

Genesis smirked as he silently looked in on Cloud and the others making dinner from the security of the roof top of the inn across the street...
[glow=red,2,300]"so this..."[/glow] he mused to himself...[glow=red,2,300]"this...man...is the one who defeated my 'dear brother'...well now...how dissapointing..."[/glow]
He glanced past Cloud and noticed Tifa, [glow=red,2,300]"her...why does she keep showing up near my targets...hmmm there must be more to this 'woman' than i thought...i should report this to 'mother'."[/glow]
Genesis checked the time by the sun's position and realized he was late...[glow=red,2,300]"hmmm seems I'm out of time...for now..."[/glow]
As he began to search for the pouch he had stored 'mother's' message in, Genesis felt something soft brush his hand...[glow=red,2,300]"hmm? whats this?"[/glow]
He slowly took out a single white feather from a pouch in his pocket...[glow=red,2,300]"ahhh i almost forgot about this...Angeil..."[/glow]
[glow=red,2,300]"well Cloud"[/glow] He whispered, [glow=red,2,300]"we shall meet again...soon..."[/glow]
Genesis quietly jumped down from the inn's roof and rushed silently over to the inn's door and stuck the feather and pouch (with a small recorded message materia and note addressed to Cloud inside) to the bar's door before taking off and vanishing into the clear blue sky leaving behind a trail of large black feathers to drift on the slight breeze...

"I insist that you take the money Tifa. You could do a lot with that to advertise and make this place big." Squall said now walking toward the door. "Oh and if you ever want a hot meal ready to go..." Squall said as he quickly turned and handed Tifa a card. "Heres my number, just in case." Squall said with a glance toward Cloud.
"Cmon Alex. we need to go now." Squall said as he pushed through the doors. Then suddenly he stopped and turned. "Tifa, come here and look at this." Squall said through the partially open doors.

*Cloud, choosing not to train until later, met glances with Squall. Cloud thought Squall to be a little interested with Tifa. As he gave her his card, he looked to Cloud. Why would Squall do that? Could Squall be trying to show Cloud up? Cloud gave him a look back. This look that Cloud gave Squall basically spoke:"What are you looking at me for?" As much as Cloud tried to avoid the thought, was Squall trying to "hook" Tifa? Cloud shook his head of this thought. That couldn't happen, at least he didn't think so. For all he knew, Tifa could already be charmed by him. Cloud decided to get back to work, cutting up the vegetables.*
*But Cloud was almost certain that thought was correct, as he heard Squall invite Tifa outside. Cloud listened closely to see what Tifa had to say. But then another thing caught his eye, there was a pouch that had Cloud's name on it. Out of curiousity, Cloud zoomed over to the door using his speed. Within almost a blink of an eye, he was outside. He then digged into the pouch and found a materia and a letter. He then looked to Tifa to speak to her.*
"Tifa, I'll be right back. I'm going by the alley between here and the building next door, ok?"

She ignored everything else whilst finishing her tea but she could have swore not far from here, someone's watching them. For all they know, she doesn't care, but after that 'someone' dissappeared moments later, Alastar knew it was trouble.
When Cloud went outside to check on something, she turned her head to see what was the commotion about and returned to her place as if this is just a petty thing to ponder about. Knowing Alastar, behind the cold and passive attitude of hers can mean something else as her complex mind decided for her about this information. Besides, she's bound to know about it, sooner or later, and it would not be long before they even know a thing about her too.

True, Tifa thought. The money was more than enough to keep the bar going for several more months. More than enough to support herself, Cloud and the kids, Marlene and Denzel. Reluctantly, she accepted the money... and Squall's number. Did he just basically propose a date? Tifa did her best to surpress a giggle, but a small smile slowly formed at the corner of her lip. He was charming... in a way. But it was always Cloud that caught her eye. If only she could just admit it...
She walked over to Squall's side as he beckoned her to see what was outside. The small smile slowly waned as soon as she spotted medium-sized black feathers falling from the sky. A pang of horror suddenly hit her. He couldn't be here, she thought silently to herself. That winged man who threatened to kill her back in Nibelheim, but instead took her blood to spawn out creatures of darkness. He would call her Mother of Shadows, she recalled. Tifa didn't like that at all..
[glow=blue,2,300]"Did... did you guys just see that?"[/glow] she asked, her voice toneless and with none of her usual cheery attitude that she had all day today. She looked back at Cloud, noticing him with a pouch, materia and letter in hand.
[glow=blue,2,300]"A-alright... just... be careful, Cloud."[/glow] she added, looking back outside as the feathers fell to the ground. A forboding feeling was just writhering up inside her once more - like the time Sephiroth had first set foot in Nibelheim nearly seven years ago. She didn't like this... not one bit...

*Cloud went to the alley in between the bar and another building. He pondered at who could have sent this letter to him. This was quite strange. It was addressed to him, so whoever sent this knew that Cloud was here. Cloud thought this to be kinda spooky, as the thought of being followed entered Cloud's mind. This was too weird. Cloud reluctantly opened the letter. He then began to read this letter. But the more he read into it, the more it shocked Cloud. He couldn't believe what he had read and what was written here. This was bigger than anything that he had ever seen. He then activated the message and stared into the hologram. He couldn't watch anymore. He had to do something quick. It was best not to warn Tifa. But he had to do something, anything. He then placed both the message and the note in his pocket and ran into Tifa's bar. Upon approaching Tifa, he embraced her without warning. He then let her go and then uttered these words to Tifa.*
"I have to go, I'm sorry..."
*Cloud then put on his sunglasses and rushed outside, not even awaiting a reply from his old friend. He put his motorcycle into ignition and the engine came alive. As much as Cloud would want to state the reason why he did this, he couldn't as there was no time. He then skidded around then faced away from the bar. He then rode off as fast as he could, looking back at the bar until he couldn't see it anymore.*

"Alex. We're going...NOW." Squall ordered as he rushed down the stairs. Squall thought of two rthings that were definatly going to happen. 1: Cloud was going to go fight someone or something and 2: He was going to need back up. Squall reachd into his pocket and pulled out his cell phone. He quickly punched in a number and the line instantly connected. "Zell we have a problem. Target my exact location and teleport us onto the bridge. Also keep a track on Cloud Strife.... Just do it, thats an order." He said and snapped the phone shut. "Sorry to come and go so fast Tifa but this is important." He said quickly.

Tifa caught one of the feathers as they fell against the gentle breeze, examining it. It was exactly like the one she picked up back in Nibelheim. He was back she thought ominously. She turned around to pick up her fighting gloves but was stopped on her tracks as soon as Cloud hugged her. She was stunned at first, quite oblivious as to why she was recieving an embrace in the first place. But then again it had been a while since she had been this close to Cloud.
As he let her go and stated he was about to leave, a pang of anger struck Tifa. I should've known. She didn't say anything but swallowed back the lump that was forming in her throat and watched him leave on his bike. She went back behind the counter finishing up the dinner that needed to be done. She was so consumed in her own thoughts - so distressed, she didn't listen to whatever it was Squall was saying.
[glow=blue,2,300]"Hmm? Oh, don't worry..."[/glow]

Queer how people have to rush things up as she just quietly finished her tea with a silent sip, wiped her mouth with a tissue and just seated there as if there's no problem happening whatsoever. She was as calm and collected as she is, not even saying anything at all but then she do want to find things out, one way or another.
"Are you sure you don't need assistance, ms. Tifa?" Alastar asked, tilting her head to the side, a hint of innocence can be seen to her face despite its hollow nature. Even a genetically engineered experiment can't stop a lonely and innocent vagabound from showing emotions, even if it's just a tiny fraction of it.

Alex just looked over to Squall and replied, saluting, "Sir! Requesting permission to aid Cloud on foot." Alex was hoping to finally go out and fight with someone other than Squall. "If I'm allowed, sir, I'll work double overtime- no! Triple overtime!" Alex knew he was going to hate himself for that, but he was desperate; that and he wanted to get the little EXP its worth. Alex stood with anticipation, awaiting Squall's answer.
