Onyveth turned in surprise only to find another stranger approach them. It seemed funny in a sense... just a moment ago, she could've sworn she was the only one walking around these ruins. And now, she found herself in the company of three men. Life was funny sometimes.
[glow=purple,2,300]"You can say that..."[/glow] she answered shortly at the man who approached them as he inquired if she was a traveller. He seemed to be wearing an old ShinRa uniform. She kept her distance from him but tried to keep a smile on her face, as to not to act rudely. Was he still loyal to ShinRa?
The other man named Tidus seemed to want to hunt for his food. She liked the idea of hunting for their own rations, but then the thought dawned on her: This is Midgar: what were the chances of finding something suitible to eat around here? No fruit or vegitation grew around here and the only wild animals around were monsters. She bit her lower lip. The thought of eating some foul creature like a Dual Horn or a Dual Hound made her stomach churn.
However, the ShinRa clothed stranger, Altiarus, offered them some rations at his own abode. She looked on at Tidus then at Altiarus as if she was making a choice.
[glow=purple,2,300]"Oh well... better not let good food go to waste!"[/glow] And with that, Onyveth picked up her rucksack and turned to follow Altiarus. But before doing so, she turned back to Caleb and offered him her hand. [glow=purple,2,300]"Need some help getting up?"[/glow]

"That's a good buddy! Common guys! We'll have a party! Then we can get to know each other at the same time." Tidus wanted to gave Altiarus a good pat on the back but thought than to do so. This guy have not trust us yet. Best to side caution. But hey gonna fill my tummy 1st. "You guys coming?" Tidus asked again as he followed Altarius.

Cal listened to the other, a bit surprised at the mercenary mention but mentally shrugged it off.
His leg still ached and his stomach gave a grumble at the mention of food. He was thankful for the offer of food and tried to get up but failed.
Smiling when Onyveth offered her hand, Cal reached up to take it.
"Yes, that would be highly appreciated," Cal gave with a smile before redirecting his attention to the other, "Yeah, we're coming. Give a man time to steady himself, health's more important than food. Can't eat if you aren't alive after all. Suppose the reverse is true too though," Cal muttered the last part to himself.

Altiarus stopped for a moment and watched as the girl helped the man with the staff up. She had kept her distance from him, which he assumed was caused by his ShinRa uniform. Not a lot of people liked ShinRa, so it wasn't uncommon for someone to be weary of those who dressed as one, especially those who dressed as a ShinRa SOLDIER, as SOLDIERs are famous, or infamous, for their capabilities. Still, it will clear up soon by itself, so he didn't bothered explaining.
The man with the sword, Tidus, if he remembered correctly when the man introduced himself while he's analysing the others, seemed much more trustful, and didn't seemed to care if he wore a ShinRa uniform. Or perhaps, didn't knew what it meant at all, since he obviously had the intention to give him a slap on the back, an obvious sign that his knowledge of ShinRa was very limited. He didn't, which is a good thing since Altiarus wasn't sure if he could refrain from reflexively giving the man a chop to the neck, and that gave insight to the man's intelligence. At least he knew when not to do something.
Then there was the man with the staff. He didn't catch his name, but that will probably change soon. For the mean time, he'll just refer him as 'Staff'. The man had asked if he was a traveller before, and that makes him wonder a little, for the man could either be also not knowing what uniform he was wearing, just like Tidus, or had previously worked for ShinRa, which meant he knew Altiarus was probably a deserter, and able to identify him through deduction. Still, Staff looked relatively harmless, so he'll just have to be cautious around the man, and search for any signs that might gave off the man's true allegiance.
"My house isn't too far off, so a bit of trekking is all we need. Do not expect luxurious food though, I did say they're emergency supplies."

Tidus decided to watch over the horizon while the female is helping the guy with the staff to stand up. Suddenly, he saw a patch of red running towards them. He squinted and saw that the patch is actually a pack of 5 dogs. (PS: Blood Taste but Tidus doesnt know!!) "Erm...do you guys own puupies?" Tidus saw the blank look on thier face and realise they don't. "Ok..then get ready for trouble..for they seem eager to meet us. Or eat us in this case." Tidus announced and drew his sword. "A little warm up before lunch..great" And there was no more time for conversation as the growls and roars of the "dogs" wash over the group.

Onyveth smiled back as she helped Cal back to his feet. Tidus then inquired all of a sudden if anyone owned a pet: puppies as a matter of fact. What a strange steer into the conversation.
[glow=purple,2,300]"Puppies? I used to, but..."[/glow] she stopped in mid-sentence upon finding a pack of five dogs heading toward them. This had reminded her of her experience in Gongaga when a pack of wolves and bandits engaged on a fight with her and her friend. In short, it was an experience she would like to forget and never have to go through again. Too bad that didn't seem likely.
Seeing Titus withdraw his sword, Onyveth pulled out her left rattan stick and pointed it towards the pack. She then conjured a lv.2 ice spell towards the beasts, in hopes to stall them a little while more. [glow=purple,2,300]"Your home's not far off, eh? Lead the way then! I'm not stoppin' ya!"[/glow]

Altiarus turned to look at the oncoming pack, then observed the others' actions. Tidus had, as he predicted, brought his sword out and readied for a fight. He was a bit surprised when the female, which he recalled absently that he didn't know her name either, pull out something of a ratter stick and cast an Ice 2 spell at the monsters. So she's more of a materia user...
He sighed, and unhook his sword from his back with a swift swing. "Well, I rather deal with these things right here than having them finding my house and ransacking them with a crowd, it's only five, a piece of cake. Plus, I doubt 'Staff' here is in a good condition for running." He pointed his long, modified sword at the monsters and conjured a Fire 3 spell at them, further hindering the pack and conveniently frying the one he centred on in a fiery blaze.
He figured that out of the four of them, he probably had the most experience dealing with these things. Tidus obviously had no idea what these things are if he's asking about puppies, and the other two definitely doesn't look like the combat type. So, as he self appointed himself as the leader of this little battle, he began to instruct others with the limited knowledge he has on their abilities. "Guy with the weird clothes, Tidus right? Flank them from your side. Girl with the stick, continue to hinder them with whatever you can use. Guy with the staff, don't know much about you, so if possible protect yourself and hinder them with spells. I'll take point and distract them while Tidus you cut in when I had their attention." Upon finishing his words, he charged without double checking if they heard his instructions. He knew he could take on the pack by himself, but a little façade about his strength won't really hurt.

Cal ended up just staring at the animals as they approached, staff clutched tightly in his hand. He startled when Onyveth cast an level two ice spell.
He turned his attention towards Altiarus as he order them, giving them instructions on what to do. He whistled, impressed at the Fire three spell the other cast, incinerating one of the animals, a Blood Taste if he wasn't mistaken.
Sighing at the trouble this would cause, Cal straightened himself out, standing tall and ignoring the ache in his leg. Bringing the staff up with a deep breath designed to help him concentrate, Cal caste a fire spell, hitting one of the animals. It didn't incinerate it like Altiarus's spell had, but it did light the animal on fire.

Tidus heard the command from Altiarus adn saw him rushing too the creatures. Must be some captain from an army or something. Tidus just smiled and flanked the creatures. He could feel his adrenaline rushing and heard the voice again. Yes. Use me. Use my power. The orb in Tidus sword begun to flash. He could feel the power radiating from his sword. He concentrated his power and release it at one of the creatures. "What the.." Tidus's eyes widen as he saw a water DRAGON shot out from his sword and rushed at one of the creatures, tearing a large hole in it's body. The creature stopped dead on its track and lay dead. "Cool.." Tidus eyed his sword. He was interupted when another creature launched at him. He rolled to his side and came up. He concentrated his powers again but there is nothing. "What?! How could this happen?" The creature lept at him again. Purely on reflexes, Tidus whipped out his sword while side-stepping. A cut appeared on the creature but it doesnt seem dead yet. "Let's do it the old fashion way then."

[glow=purple,2,300]"Stick?"[/glow] Onyveth repeated, raising an eyebrow at Altiarus as if his words were some form of insult.[glow=purple,2,300]"I have a name, ShinRa! It's Onyveth and don't you forget it!"[/glow] She then conjured a small gravity-based spell towards the pack once more just after Altiarus and Caleb summoned their fire spells. Unseathing her other rattan stick, and this time fully armed, she stood her ground and took on a defiant stance until one of the Blood Tastes lunged at her, moving out of the way at the last possible moment. Giving a predatory sneer at the beast, she smacked it's head a few times while she swung her rattan stick at it, ending the attack with another ice-based spell, sending it crashing through a glass window of an abandoned conveinient store.
[glow=purple,2,300]"Hehe... newbie..."[/glow] she chuckled to herself in facination, rolling her eyes as Tidus attempted to summon the water dragon again.

"Hey hey, no need to get offensive miss..." Altiarus mumbled to himself with annoyance as he aimed his sword at one of the remaining Blood Tastes and thrust the tip of the blade at it. It had moved out of that attack by jumping to the side, but was caught in the next attack when Altiarus used the momentum of his stab and twisted his body for a swing at the still airborne target, cleaving it cleanly in two through the midsection.
He saw Tidus trying to summon that water dragon for the second time, which he had unsurprisingly failed, and rolled his eyes in exasperation. "Really clever." He commented, sarcasm dripping from his words. Then he eyed Onyveth as she smacked one of the Blood Tastes with her rattan stick and fling it into an abandoned store with a well placed ice-based spell, no doubt crushing it on the wall within. She had potential. he mused as he turned back to face the last of the monsters, which were growling on the spot as if unsure of what to do. "Well well well, looks like it's the only one left now, who wants to do the honours?"

"Hey..you guys stop looking at me like that.." Tidus said sheepishly as everyone seem to realise that he couldn't control his powers properly. "Let's kill it and be done with it. I'm hungry." Tidus twirled his sword and leapt forward with a quick thrust to the neck of the creature. "There we're done..last one to the house is a stinky puupy." With that, Tidus ran forward until he realise he didnt know his way to the house. "Would someone point to me the direction?" Tidus turned back to give a boyish grin and scratches his head.

The animals were done in short order and Cal was put out that he hadn't gotten to fight with his staff. He didn't enjoy fighting but with all the spells and attacks happening, it had gotten him mildly excited.
He rolled his eyes at Tidus's grin and turned his attention to Altiarus. "My name's Cal."

Onyveth chuckled once more at Tidus as she sheathed her rattan sticks. She climbed down the rubble to regroup with the rest of the men. Although she personally wouldn't have called it much of a fight, she was just glad it was over.
[glow=purple,2,300]"Ha! Hardly worked up a sweat!"[/glow] She exclaimed confidently, savouring victory while it lasted. Suddenly there was a small grumbling noise and Onyveth just placed a hand against her stomach. Her face went scarlet out of embarrasement and couldn't help but give out an apologetic look, wishing not to be noticed at the moment. Apparently, the fight against the Blood Tastes had given her an appitite.
[glow=purple,2,300]"C'mon. Let's get the heck outta here before any more of those things arrive... I'm starving too!"[/glow]

Altiarus stifled a chuckle at the grumbling sound of Onyveth's stomach. The sound might be small, but it didn't escaped his Mako enhanced listening abilities. "That's good to know, just don't trash my place more than it is already." He smirked arrogantly, and nodded at Cal with a knowing look. "Nice to meet you Cal, sorry for stealing the kills from you."
He clasped his sword to his back and with an about turn started snaking through the ruins of Midgar. He knew his way through the deserted town enough to be able to make a map out of it, but that's just a waste of time. There's no need to rush through anyway, the scene of carnage back at their previous site would've scared away most monsters.
