Cal swept his green eyed gaze around the ragged remains of his old hometown.
Of course, even the ruins were a bit too big to take in on one glance but looking around the place still brought old memories to the surface.
He hadn't been anywhere near Midgar for the last three years but ghosts of memories called to him. A frown took over his face, brow furrowing as his thought threatened him with something darker.
He shook it off after a moment, a smile taking over his features as he dragged happier memories back to the forefront.
The smoothly sanded walking stick in his hand felt solid in his grip, a anchor against his faded reality. His leg ached a bit but nothing too debilitating, though he could tell he'd be limping of he started walking.
Cal however, was content to just stand, starting to lean more heavily on his walking stick as his gaze lazily swept the area in front of him.

Midgar was less than anything Onyveth had expected now. From all the stories and news she had heard, she envisioned this to be a bustling prosperous metropolis, but perhaps she was just two years too late. Midgar was nothing but a ghost town now. Another city left to rot, to decay in the endless flow of time.
'Would someone rebuild this place?' she wondered to herself, tucking a a few strands of hair behind her ear. Silently she wished someone would... just to see Midgar back in it's hey-day for once. But then a part of her wished someone didn't. Midgar was, after all, dominated by the ShinRa. One less ShinRa-city around, the better.
She dragged her feet along the dusty road, keeping an eye on what lied ahead. For hours she she kept on going, without any hint of where to go or where to turn; just gut instincts to guide her. She passed by old abandoned houses, shops, and other damaged structures. For a fraction of a moment, Onyveth was tempted to take on an abandoned car and ride it all over town. No-one would mind, of course. Seeing that no-one seemed to be around.
Or so she thought.
What stopped her from doing so was when she spotted man, just standing there, leaning against a staff. So there was life around here after all.
[glow=purple,2,300]"Hey! You lost?"[/glow] she called out, approaching the man. Onyveth was used to travelling alone, but for once, she was glad to have found someone to at least talk to.

For all his caution, Cal was startled when he heared a voice call out behind him.
He hadn't expected anyone, there was no reason to. He turned anyway to the source of the call, curious about who would take the trouble to travel here.
When he turned, he found the other person to be aways from him still even as she approached.
He smiled warmly anyway, trying to portray friendliness. He kept his weight against the staff, his leg threatening to give out. He ignored it in favor of returning the others greeting.
"No, I'm not lost, just revisiting memories. Are you?" Cal asked curiously, head tilting to the side as he asked.

[glow=purple,2,300]"Not really. Just... browsing."[/glow] she answered, returning a smile to the stranger. He was tall, had strawberry-blonde hair and wore dark clothing. Upon closer observation, she noticed a small cresent-shaped scar above his right eye. If it wasn't for that, his skin could almost be compared to porcelein!
She found it a little odd that he was walking with a staff. Naive as she was, she envisioned those who walked with canes to be aged old men. But the stranger who stood before her didn't seem to be a day over twenty.
[glow=purple,2,300]"They say there're ghosts around here, and that's why they all moved to Edge."[/glow] she stated breaking the awkward silence, uncertain with what she should even say next. Her gaze was focused around the ruined scenery in admiration. [glow=purple,2,300]"This is my first time around here. Wish I could've been here back then... so I just thought I'd go take a peek..."[/glow]

Cal listened, and couldn't help but chuckle a bit.
"Ah, it was something to see, a lot more livelier than now. Though whether or not it was good is completely up to opinion." Cal smiled, vague memories of a time before briefly touched on.
It was fairly sunny with only a few clouds dotting the sky, and it didn't seem to be especially hot or cold. His leg felt stiff, as if it hadn't been used in years, and he was starting to lean more heavily than before on the oak cane.
Hopefully the muscles wouldn't seize quite just yet.

Onyveth looked on at the stranger, listening intently on his words. He spoke as though his experience here was something to cherish. Something to happily recall. She was a little envious, but it was alright. Although she disliked ShinRa, and anything even related to it, had she the chance to experience Midgar back in its splendor, she wouldn't want to forget about it either.
[glow=purple,2,300]"H-hey? You okay? You don't look too good..."[/glow] she said, taking notice of him leaning against his staff a little more than usual.

"Ah, well, my leg is less than adequate," Gal gave with a shaky smile, "Been bad since I was a kid. Always figured it was just genetics."
Cal glanced around but soon saw there was nothing to sit on. Nothing but dirt and who knew what might have seeped into the ground. When his leg gave a spasm, as if almost in warning, Cal decided to risk it.
"Don't mind if I sit down, do you?" Cal asked as he searched the nearby ground for anything that might prevent him from resting his leg.

Onyveth shook her head - she didn't mind at all. She had been wandering around Midgar since the break of dawn, a little rest seemed deserving. Who knew how long he himself had been around. Looking on at his leg, she regretted not studying to become a doctor like her foster parents would've wanted.
She picked up a few pebbles lying around the ground and threw them at an old abandoned building. As if attempting to knock it down out of fun.
[glow=purple,2,300]"I'm Onyveth, by the way. Or just Ony for short." [/glow] she stated, after realizing she hadn't introduced herself. She knew her name was quite a mouthful, but... oh well. [glow=purple,2,300]"And who are you?"[/glow]

"Thanks," Cal offered as he sat slowly.
After he was settled, Cal put the staff next to him so it would be within easy reach if anything happened.
He watched as she picked up and threw a few pebbles at an old building that looked like it had been deserted even well before Midgar was destroyed.
Cal gave a small smile, "Caleb but please, call me Cal. So, were do you come from?"

"Yuna.."
The last farewell.
Tidus groaned as he opened his eyes. He remembered seeing his dad and Auron after jumping off the airship. Why am i here? No. "Where am i?" Tidus sat up and looked around. Then he saw a city right ahead. "Woah..its in..ruins" Just like Zanarkand. As he continue to scan the ground around him, he saw a sword sticking out from the ground. "Well, that's something familiar." He took in the sight of his sword, Brotherhood that accompanied him through so much. The blade was blue in color and crystal clear with a yellow hilt and a red cloth tyed to it. He walk towards it and hefted it up, noticing its fine balance and its sharpness. Master. "What the.." Tidus scanned around with his sword held up in front of him, looking for the one who spoke. Master. Its is me.I have awakened. Tidus realise he hadn't heard anything, it's his sword speaking to his mind. He could see the yellow orb in his sword was blinking. Just summon me if you ever need of my service. Tidus just stared at his sword. "You never spoke to me before." Tidus mumbled but there was no answer although he could still feel the mind link with Brotherhood. Whatever resides in this blade, its is powerful. "Oh well, let's find some food first. I'm hungry." Tidus sheathed his sword to his back and trudged towards the ruins. Hope it still has an inn or something. Just then he saw 2 people sitting right in front of him. Without thinking Tidus shouted out, "Hey guys! Do you have any food to share?"

[glow=purple,2,300]"Cal? Okay... nice ta meetcha!"[/glow]Onyveth smiled, committing the new name to memory. She fiddled around with the pebbles she held and threw them at a random building nearby, shattering one pane of glass.
[glow=purple,2,300]"I'm from Nibelheim."[/glow] she answered. She didn't want to talk any more of her roots, even though she only said a few simple words. The sheer memory of home is painful enough. Time to look for a new one. But before she could steer the conversation to a new direction, another voice called out to them. Another stranger appeared and asked if either of them had any rations to share.
[glow=purple,2,300]"A little... not so sure if it's enough for all, stranger!"[/glow] she chuckled, smiling back. She dropped the pebbles and brushed her hands on her denim outfit. She threw her rucksack and peered into its contents - she had enough food to last a day... but that was just for one person...

An old, worn out door opened reluctantly with the occasional squeaking sound as Altiarus stepped out of his -miraculously-not-too-damaged- childhood home where he kept his things secured. It wasn't like anyone's going to crash into his old home and steal whatever was in there, though for safeties' sake he made a few complex locks and hid the things he doesn't carry on himself carefully. Midgar had once been a bustling city, and the very place he worked, but now it's nothing more than the ghostly shell it once was.
He was once again wearing his old and outdated ShinRa uniform. A much much more comfortable clothing than that suit of golden armour he stored away, which he mainly wear it as advertisement for his mercenary business, to which he had to admit wasn't doing so well recently. The world's getting back into a more peaceful state with the collapse of ShinRa, and less and less people required his service. Still, he had been earning enough to survive.
Walking around the ruins out of boredom while chewing on an energy bar, Altiarus spotted the oddly assembled three-person group. It's a rarity someone's still in Midgar, himself excluded since he had his reasons, but it's rarer to have a group of people. Even more so when one of the three held an interesting looking sword and dressed in a strangely colourful outfit. He out of the three looked the oddest, and something else that he couldn't place, though he quickly shrugged it off. No point wondering about things he wouldn't have cared when he still need to know if they're hostile or not, as unlikely as it is with how they looked. Most likely travellers, but he couldn't take any chances.
Crushing the empty wrapper and incinerating it with a quick Fire spell, he walked cautiously up to the group, while making sure that he will be able to reach for his sword at a moment's notice. "Quite a rarity to find someone in these ruins, are you three travellers?"

Cal listened to her intently, a small smile adorning his face. It was startling when they were interrupted but Cal followed Onyventh's example and looked through his pockets contents but only found lint.
Cal looked up with a sheepish smile, "Sorry, I don't have anything on me."
His attention was diverted by the arrival of a fourth person. "Well, I am. Not too sure about these two." Cal replied with a shrug. "Are you a traveler?"

"Ah..its ok..i'm not that hungry anymore." Tidus lied, trying to avoid looking at bit downcast. He knew there wasn't enough and didnt want to burden anyone. He heard footsteps behind him and turned around. "Quite a rarity to find someone in these ruins, are you three travellers?" the stranger said while fingering close to his sword. Tidus eyed the stranger and measured him. A warrior this one. Then Tidus laughed out. All of the people gathered seems to be warriors. The laughter released the tension within him. "Come on people, we are in the wild. I think the piority should be survival and survival, in this case, means food which we have few. Let's help one another. I'm Tidus and i'm hungry. Anyone wanna hunt for food?" Tidus gave a broad please-trust-me-and-help-me-find-food smile.

Altiarus couldn't help but raise an eyebrow and smirk at the young man's antics. He seems cheerful enough, and the others doesn't seemed to have any hostile intentions. Not that he couldn't handle himself really, but better safe than sorry. "I wouldn't call myself a traveller, I'm a mercenary." He answered Cal's question with an indifferent voice, then lowered his hands to his side as he looked at Tidus with a calculating stare. The boy seems experienced, from his posture and the way he held his sword. A bit too cheerful for a warrior, but that wasn't uncommon.
He weight over his options as he switched between staring at Tidus to looking at all three of them in turns. They seemed relatively harmless, and the way the man with strawberry blonde hair sat hinted at some sort of disability, which the staff he held gave the proofs he needed. The girl's fairly normal, and the cheerful man seemed more interested in food than anything else.
As he came to a conclusion soon after, he gave the others a casual smirk. "If the lot of you are looking for food, I suppose it wouldn't hurt to share. I stored some rations back at my house for emergencies, and I had enough to last a few weeks. Come with me if you're interested." He turned and began to leave, but stopped after a step and turned hi head back. "Oh, and I'm Altiarus."
